Akemi held the pistol sideways, she shot the pratice targets at the center of the circles.

The gunshots were echoed through the whole room, she kept shooting at the targets and hit the center.

"You've been in the practice range for 2 hours now, you need a break." Shiro told her, she held the gun down and reloaded her gun.

"I'm fine." She said to him.

"You're angry, it's the only choice she has. The only thing that will keep her from hurting herself."

"But that's the most cruel thing to do to a child! She won't ever know the truth!" She kept her eyes down.

Shiro looked away from her and gave a sigh.

"It's not your choice and it's not her's either." He walked out of the room, Akemi had small tears in her eyes.

Rin opened his eyes, the sun's yellow light shine through the window.

He sat up and gave a groan, he rubbed the back of his head.

I need to know why I'm having these dreams, they are freaking me out.

He thought about Akemi crying in the dream.

But still...That's the first time I ever seen her cry in my dreams, she's always smiling or no showing any emotion. But what was old man talking about?

"It's the only choice she has. The only thing that will keep her from hurting herself."

I wonder what it was? I don't really understand.

He looked up at the ceiling.

I guess it's not really my business to know, but I want to know why I'm having these dreams and visions. Maybe it's because I'm getting to know Akari's mom better, I don't know.

He looked at his alarm clock, he saw that it was past 7:30.

"I'M LATE FOR SCHOOL AGAIN!"

A few mintues later

Rin ran into the room and opened the door loud.

"Sorry, I'm late I know! I overslept!" He bowed and looked at the room, he saw that everyone wasn't sitting in their seats.

"Um...The teacher hasn't come in the room yet." Rin's eyes were wide, he closed his eyes and gave a sigh.

He walked to his seat and put his head on the desk, he closed his eyes and gave a sigh.

"I can't believe that I ran from the dorms to here in 2 mintues. I'm so tired." He looked around the room and didn't see that one person he knew that was always in the room. "Hey, where's Akari?"

Everyone looked around.

"She's late I guess." Bon told him.

"But she's never late. She's always on time or early." Bon strugged.

"I don't know but she's been a little bit different lately." Rin gave a confused look.

"What do you mean?" Yukio walked in the room, everyone sat in their seats.

"Good morning everyone, today I'm not going to teach you but someone else will." Everyone gave a look at him.

A puff of smoke appeared and Mephisto stood in front of them.

"What's Mephisto doing here?" Rin said to himself.

"I'm going to be your teacher for today!" He said with his arms out. He sat on the desk and put his right leg over his left. "Let's begin today with-"

The door opened, everyone looked to see who was at the door. Rin's eyes were wide.

Akari had her hand on the door with her bag, she was sweating on her forehead.

"Sorry...I'm late. I...woke up late..." She panted.

"It's okay, today I'm teaching." Mephisto said to her. "Please take a seat." Akari closed the door and walked to her seat.

Her left hand had a cut on it as she walked past Rin, he gave a look at her when she was walking. She sat in her seat and looked at Mephisto.

"Alright, today I'm going to tell you a story." Everyone gave a confused look. Shiemi raised her hand, Mephisto point at her.

"What kind of story are you going to tell?"

"Oh a little story about a certian exorcist that was going to paladin but was rejected." Rin sat back in his seat and listened to him.

"How is that even possible?" Mephisto gave a grin.

"Well, you see. We have to go back 16 years ago, when the world was filled with happiness because of one person." Akari lowered her eyes from Mephisto. "That person was the most talented exorcist ever to live in this world, she was all five types of a exorcist."

"Really? All five?" Rin said to Mephisto. He gave a faint smile.

"Why yes, her mentor was also a talented exorcist too, she was chosen to be paladin but until one mission." He looked at his hand, Akari put her hand on her arm. "She was taken hostage and as a sacrifice to one of the demon kings. She was...well we should say her 'flower' was taken away from her heart."

Yukio gave a look, blood went down Akari's arm.

No...Stop...Stop hurting me!

"She was saved by her mentor but it was too late."

"What happened?"

"She was pregnant by the demon king." Akari stood up from her seat, everyone looked at her.

They saw blood soaking through the clothing of her arm.

"Akari! You're bleeding!" Yukio was going to walk to her but she ran to the door before he could.

Rin looked at Mephisto, he gave a small frown.

Mephisto? Frowning?

Akari sat up against the lockers, she was panting and sweating. Her left arm was covered with a towel but the blood soaked through it and was dripping to the marble floor.

She stared at the sinks and was lost in thought.

"Mommy! Mommy!" Little Akari ran through the hallway, she looked around and heard yelling.

"But that's the most cruel thing to do to a child! She won't ever know the truth!" Akari heard her mother.

"Mommy?" She said to herself, she heard Shiro sigh.

"It's not your choice and it's not her's either." Shiro walked out of the room, Akari hid herself against the wall.

She walked slowly in the room, she looked up to Akemi.

She saw the sadness in her face and put the gun on the table, she stood in front of her.

"Mommy? What's wrong?" Akemi looked at down at Akari, she fell to her knees and hugged her. "Mommy?"

Akari looked at her.

"I want you to have a choice in life Aya, I want you to be with someone you love no matter the cost or what people say to you. It's your life, it's your decsions and it's your heart. No one chooses who you are."

Akemi said to Akari, she had tears falling down from her eyes.

Akari didn't say anything, she only stared at her mother who was crying in front of her.

Mommy.

Akari panted more, she felt a tear in her eye.

I'm crying, the pain is getting worse.

Akari touched her neck, she remembered Rin kissing her neck at the festival.

I don't know why I asked him for that...Maybe it's Mephisto controlling my mind again...or, it's her.

The door knocked.

"Akari? Are you in there?" Shiemi said in a almost quiet voice.

She didn't say anything to her.

I don't want people to know this.

"Sasaki! Are you in there? You haven't been in any of your classes!" Izumo said to her but Akari didn't say anything.

"She's not in there." Izumo walked away, Shiemi stared at the door.

Akari...

Rin looked around the hallway.

Where are you Akari? Why did you run out of the room with a bleeding arm?

"Rin!" He turned around to see Shiemi running to him.

"Shiemi? Did you found Akari?" She stood in front of him.

"Yes! But she won't come out!" Rin gave a look to her.

"Where is she?"

A few mintues later

Rin and Shiemi stood in front of girl's bath.

"She's in there?" Rin's eyebrows twitched as he stared at the door.

Shiemi nodded to him.

"She's not talking but I know that she will talk to you! She'll only talk to you since she loves you!" Rin's cheeks blushed at her, she stared up to him.

He lowered his eyes and looked at the door, he gulped and touched the door with his hand.

"I'll make sure no one will know that you went into the bathroom." Shiemi turn a corner, leaving Rin alone.

He leaned forward to the door.

"Akari?" Akari's eyes went wide. "Are you in there?"

She didn't say anything to him, he gave a sigh.

"I'm coming in." He opened opened the door and walked into the room.

He looked around the locker room.

Where could she have gone?

He looked down and saw blood on the floor, he looked at the trail til he saw the end.

The end was the entrance to the bathing area, he gulped and walked to it. He saw Akari on the floor bleeding.

"Akari! I found you!" He ran to her but she stood up fast, she held her hand on her arm. "What's wrong?"

Slience filled the room for a moment.

"'What's wrong?' 'What's wrong?'! I'm bleeding that's what's wrong! I've been bleeding since this morning and it won't stop!" She yelled at him.

Rin's eyes were wide.

"Akari...This isn't-"

"Isn't me? Of course it isn't! I'm losing my mind! I have millions of things going through my mind! And I'm going to lose the memories of you being a half demon!"

"Is that what this is about?" Akari gave a small chuckle.

"That's not it! Why didn't you stop him! Why didn't you stop Mephisto from telling that story!? You know what happened!" Rin's eyes were wider.

"Akari...You need to calm down." He held out his hand to her, she was going to slap it away but Rin grabbed her wrist.

Akari took a step back and fell backwards with Rin falling with her, they fell into the water filled bathtub.

Rin opened his eyes, Akari was below him. Her hair was wet and water was all over her face.

She pushed him off and sat up, she put her knees up to her chest.

"The story was about my mom." Rin gave a shocked look to her.

"That means..." She nodded.

"She was going to be paladin before I was born, she was a amazing exorcist and was known for it. But it's was my fault that she couldn't be paladin, it's all my fault. I always hated myself for that, it was her dream to become paladin but I made her blew it.

"It's always been my fault, if I was never born. She would become paladin, if I would have been human then she would still had that chance. I hate everything about myself, I'm not fit to be her daughter. I'm not fit to be anyone's daughter." She said, she was going to cry but Rin pulled her into his arms and hugged her.

She gave a confused look.

"It's not your fault, it wasn't your fault that your mom didn't become paladin. She gave birth to you and took care of you, if you wasn't fit to be a daughter then they wouldn't take care of you and loved you like your mom did.

"I know I should have say something to Mephisto but I wanted to know more about her, I wanted to know more about the dreams that your mom had. She's always been in my dreams and I don't know why but it feels like she wants me to know that she was a loving mother to you." Akari stared at him.

"Rin..."

"No one chosed who you are, you are your own person and no one will take that away." Akari's eyes were wided, she put her face in his shoulder.

"No one chooses who you are."

Mom. Thank you...

Rin looked down at her, he put his hand on her back.

"Thank you." He gave a look at her. "Thank you, for being there for me. For telling me things that only my mom would tell me, for loving me. That's one of the things that no one would do for me but you did." Rin gave a grin.

"Yeah."

"Because of you, I finally know who to trust around me." She put her head on his chest and held onto his shirt.

Rin put his chin on her head.

"I love you." Rin kissed her hair.

"I love you too."

"No matter what, if I loose my memories. I will always remember the happy times that we had together." Rin looked at the red colored water around him, he remembered her bloody arm.

Akari...Please...Just hold on a little longer. I will make you remember and I won't let you die in front of me.

At the Council

"We should get rid of the memories that Akari Sasaki has right now before it's too much she can handle."

"She has only a week's memories of him, that's small."

"But do you know what happened last time she freaked out about the boy being a half demon?"

"Yes, she pushed her off the street to be hit by a truck."

"She's showing the level 3 stages already! It will be almost time for the day to come! It's only 3 months away!"

"Yes, we must do something. Paladin?" Everyone looked at Aruthur.

He gave a grin.

"It's easy, get rid of the one thing that keeps her from making her heart weak. Get rid of Rin Okumura!"

Wow, I made a chapter after I made a Author's Note. I'm fast at typing and getting ideas, in the next chapter is going to be away from this chapter. It's kinda a bonus chapter but it's not going to talk about the council meeting that this chapter just had. SO WAIT FOR THE CHRISTMAS CHAPTER TO COME! ;D
