Everyone sat in the living room, silence fell upon the room as they waited for dinner.

"I can't believe Akari made everything break and made cars have a accident, that's not like her." Shiemi said while playing with Nii.

"But she's been having these mood swings lately around the whole season, is she that strong enough to cause that?" Konekomaru said to Shiemi.

"She's a human, she's not a half demon like Rin. She doesn't show any powers like him of course she isn't that strong enough to do that." Bon told him.

"But think about it, she acted weird when she fought you Bon. She almost killed you." Konekomaru told him.

"And she kicked you butt in only 2 minutes, how do you know if she isn't a half demon or not? We didn't know that Rin was a demon till we saw him loose it." Everyone thought about it.

"Yeah you are true about that. We didn't even gave him a chance to tell us the truth." Bon said to Shima.

"But what if Akari is a half demon? Will she kill us like she almost killed that man?" Konekomaru said to himself.

"Why are you saying that? Akari will never hurt us! Even if she is a half demon or not, she will never turn her back on us!" Izumo said outloud as she stood up, everyone stared at her.

"Are you saying that you care about Akari? I thought you hated her." Izumo blushed.

"I never hated her, I didn't like her cause she had all of the attention and was better in class than me." Shima smiled at her.

"Yeah, you can say that. She was the smartest one in class, she knew every question that the teacher asked." Shima said to her.

"And she had all the girls jealous and boys drool over her cause of her beauty." Konekomaru said.

"And she's dating the bad boy of the whole school, who wouldn't be jealous of her?" Bon said.

"I know that she isn't a half demon, if she was. Where's her tail?" Everyone looked at each other with a confused look.

"Tail..."

Rin laid on his bed, his arms behind his head as he stared at the ceiling.

"You monster!" A man yelled in a crowd. "You are a monster! You tried to kill me!"

"Lies! Lies!"

His hand turned into a fist as he rememered.

"You are a monster and you know it, you are a killer and you should rot in hell."

"My mother was not a drug addict!"

He looked at the window, he saw the night sky where darkness filled over them.

I wonder how Akari is doing after what happened.

He sat up and stared at his hands, he rememered Akari being in his arms and begging him to not let go of her.

He saw a woman's feet below him, he looked up slowly and saw Akemi standing in front of him with bright green eyes.

Her white dress flew in the wind and her long black hair, she looked transparent but her hand that touched his hand felt warm.

He stared at her as she stared at him with a small frown, she put her other hand on her chest causing a light to grow between them.

The light flew to his face, making him to closed his eyes. He felt light for a moment but then he felt cold air around him.

He opened his eyes and looked around, he wasn't in his room anymore. He was outside in the freezing cold with only his t-shirt and pants.

"Rin! What are you doing outside with no shoes on?" Mother Mary, Luka and Yukio walked to him with pizza in their hands.

"What? I don't even know how-" Mother Mary put her hand on his shoulder and gave a grin.

"Didn't Shiro teach you that when you were a child? You are going to get frost bite." His eyes went wide.

"You knew Shiro?" She looked at him with the grin on her face.

"Of course I knew him, he's my brother." Rin's mouth opened.

"Close your mouth Rin, it's going to freeze like that forever." Marie told him.

"So wait, you're Shiro's sister?" Rin asked Mother Mary as he ate the pizza in his hands, she was opening the pizza boxes.

"Yes, we were taught how to be exorcists at a young age and I was the strongest one out of the two of us." He looked at Yukio who was getting out the plates.

"Did you know this?" Yukio looked at him.

"Yes, she told me it a few minutes ago before she told you." Rin looked at Mother Mary who gave a smile to him.

"Rin, didn't Shiro told you that he had a sister?" Luka asked him as she leaned against the door with her arms crossed.

"NO! No one told me!" Marie giggled as she put the pizzas on the plates and passed them to the children.

Rin leaned against the table and put his hands behind him to support his weight.

"Is Akari okay? After what happened?" Mother Mary, Luka and Yukio lowered their eyes.

"After what happened, we have to pay them some money to pay off the broken tvs and the bill for the fixment of the cars that had that crash." Mother Mary said to him.

"But what about the people? They will still call Akari a monster."

"We can't do anything about that, we just have to make sure that Akari won't leave the temple without a apology-"

"But they should be the ones that should apologize!" Rin yelled at her.

"Rin-" Yukio said to him.

"They were the ones that said that her mother was a drug addict even through she wasn't, they were the ones that called her a monster!"

"But she almost killed someone again! I don't want her to kill someone because of the anger inside of her!" Rin's eyes went wide.

"'Again'?" Mother Mary was silence for a moment.

"She has a anger inside of her that can't be controlled no matter what, if someone told her that she was a demon and hit her. She will hurt them physical, emotionally and now mentally." She put her hand on her face, she felt pain in her head. "I've been taking care of that child and her mother for many years now, what have you done for her?"

She looked at him with a serious look, he walked away from them and to the hallway.

"Rin-" The group was going to go after him btut just looked at their food and ate, Luka looked at Mother Mary and looked away.

Rin sat in the hallway with his head in his knees, he heard someone's footsteps walking to him.

"Leave me alone, I just want to be alone." He felt the person standing in front of him but he didn't look at the person.

"But do you want Akari to be alone for Christmas Eve?" He knew that voice and looked up, Marie smiled down at him.

"Marie." She bend down to him, he stared at her kind eyes.

"Don't leave Akari alone on a holiday that she has no one to celebrate with." She held a plate of pizza in her hand. "Besides, Akari never had her dinner."

Rin gave a small smile at her and she smiled back.

Rin knocked the door, he looked around him.

This is where Akari's room is? It looks like the attic.

He knocked again.

"Akari? It's me, Rin." Silence, he was given silence. "Come on, I got pizza."

Akari sat against the door, her knees against her chest and head in her arms. He was given silence again, he sighed and sat against the door.

"Akari, please." He sighed against and raised his head up to the ceiling.

Now that I think about it, does Akari have a tail like me? I never seen her with one, I wonder?

The door opened and Rin fell to the floor, he hit his head and looked up and saw Akari standing above him.

He stood up and saw Akari with a white tail.

"OH MY GOD, YOU HAVE A TAIL!"

Few minutes later

Akari sat on her bed, eating the pizza. Rin was sitting in a chair near her, he stared at her white tail that was moving around.

She has a tail like me! Same fur at the tip, it looks idential! But white, why did she hide her tail from me?

He looked at Akari and she was looking at him, he blushed and turned away from her.

"I was not staring at your tail! I was looking at the pizza cause I'm hungry!" He looked at Akari and she shoved a pizza in his mouth.

He coughed and almost choked on it, he pulled it out and looked at her.

"I didn't really mean it!" He put the pizza on the plate and coughed, she crawled to him and put her fingertips on his throat.

A small glow appeared from her fingertips and disappered into his neck, he stopped coughing and looked at her.

She moved closer to him, he tried to move away.

"Akari? Akari?" She moved to his seat and sat in his lap. "Akar-AH!"

The chair broke, the two fell to the floor.

Rin was on his back while Akari was on top of him, he looked at her and pulled away from her and looked down.

"Sorry, I was a idiot I should-" He looked up at her and stopped talking when he saw her face looked sad.

"Why? Why don't you let me be with you? Why won't you?" Akari murmured with her hands on her short nightgown.

"Akari-"

"WHY DID IT HAVE TO BE YOU? IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN ME! I SHOULD HAVE DIED NOT YOU! I don't want to hear them call you names, I don't want you to suffer in heaven." Rin looked at her wrists, they had cuts on them.

She's...been cutting herself.

"I'm always in pain when I hear them talk about you, when I hear them talk about how you died of drugs. I don't want to hear that anymore!" She yelled.

"Akari..." She grabbed a letter opener and was going to cut herself. "AKARI!"

Rin lunged himself at her and pulled away the knife from her.

"No! I don't want to be in pain anymore!" He finally grabbed the knife and threw it across the room, he put his arms around her but she hit him on the chest with her fists with tears in her eyes. "Please! I don't want to feel this pain anymore! I need that knife to get rid of my pain!"

"I'm not going to let you cut yourself in front of me! I don't the one person that I love hurt themselves in front of me again!" Akari's eyes were wide, she looked up at him. "I don't want you to hurt yourself again, I don't want you to cut yourself to get rid of the pain. I'm the one that does that, I should be the one that does that not a knife."

Her hands held onto his shirt, her head lowered and tears in her eyes.

"Ever since I became your friend, you made me smile and cry. But then I fell in love with you and you made me cry and smile more than ever, you made my world brighter. I don't want you to go insane on me." He looked down at her and put his hands on each side of her face.

He reached down to her and kissed her on the lips, her cheeks flushed red at first but her eyes closed. Her hands were on his wrists and reached up to him, she put her arms around his neck and hugged him.

"Rin..."

"Yeah?"

"You said that you don't want to see someone that you love to hurt themselves again, you love me?" Rin's cheeks blushed.

"Ah...umm..." He pulled away from her to lower his head, she smiled at him and hugged him. "AH!"

They fell to the floor, Rin looked at Akari who was hugging him while on top of him.

"Um...Akari..." She looked at him and kissed him.

"Do you love me?" He stared at her eyes that were puppy dog, he smiled at her and brushed a lock of hair behind her ear.

"Yes." She smiled at him and put her head on his chest.

"That's the best christmas present that I had in years." He gave a smile at her.

"I'm glad that you liked it even through I didn't even thought about it." He looked up at the ceiling with his arms around her.

It's going to be a long Christmas.

The morning sun was slowly rising up from the hills with the birds waking up and the snow on the roofs of the houses.

The kids ran up the stairs and to Akari's door, Sakura shushed them and opened the door slowly.

"Ready? One, two, three!" She opened the door wide open.

"IT'S CHRISTMAS!" The kids ran to the sleeping Rin and Akari, they jumped on the bed and hit Rin on the stomach.

"Oof!" Rin said outloud, the kids stopped jumping and ran out of the room giggling.

Rin scratched his head and looked at Akari who was sleeping next to him, he smiled at her and laid down next to her.

He stared at her and made his finger go down her nose, he chuckled at her.

She's a deep sleeper, nothing will wake her up.

She reached her hand to him and put her hand on the back of his neck, she moved closer to him and put her head near his chest.

He stared down at her and smiled, he kissed her crown and wrapped his arm around her.

I'm so tired, I'm going back to sleep.

He shut his eyes and he's breathing went light.

A man stood at the porch, he stared the sky where the moon was bright and the stars were brighter. He looked like he was in his 20's.

"Rin! How many times have I told you? Don't go daydreaming about the moon!" A woman said outloud.

"Sorry! I thought the moon was beautiful." He walked into the house and to the bedroom, he walked to the mirror and tried to fixed his collar.

The home phone rang, he looked at it and back at the mirror.

"The phone is ringing." The woman said to him.

"It's not important."

"It might be someone important."

"Then they would leave a voicemail." The woman's cell phone rang. "Or call your phone."

"Can you get it? I'm trying to wash off right now."

"Can I help?" He gave a perverted look at her, she grabbed a towel and threw it at him. It hit him in the face, he sighed at her and grabbed her phone.

He answered it and talked to the man on the phone.

"Yeah, we're coming. Just give us a few minutes bye!" He hung up the phone and sighed.

"Was that Yukio?" The woman asked.

"Yeah, he's telling us that we have 30 minutes before the party starts."

"Why didn't you tell me that before!?" She yelled at him.

"I was trying to get my shoes from the cat!" He put his arms in the air.

"Cats don't hide shoes!"

"Ours does!" The woman sighed.

"AH!" The woman screamed outloud.

"What is it?" He walked to the bathroom but the door opened, steam came out and the woman's hand went out.

He stared at it and gave a grin, he grabbed the towel and gave it to her.

"Don't laugh." He stood against the door.

"I'm not. You just forgot that you threw your only towel at me." The door opened and the woman that looked like the same age as him stood behind him.

He turned around to see her and smiled at her.

"That's a good look for you." Her long light brown hair was wet, she only wore a short towel that was wrapping around her body.

"Shut up." She walked to the chair and grabbed her dress. She walked to the bed and put the dress on the bed.

Rin walked behind her and touched her hair, she blushed at him.

"Can you not make me blush while I'm getting dress?"

"Nope." She gave a grin at him.

"You act like a child."

"You act like a adult." He put his arms across his chest and so did she.

"We aren't getting no where with this."

"I know."

"Then what are you doing?"

"Being you." He grabbed the dress and walked around like a girl.

"That's not how I walk." She chuckled at him.

"But it's how I would walk like." He told her, she laughed at him.

He walked to her and kissed her on the cheek.

"I love you Akari." She smiled.

"I love you too Rin."

Rin opened his eyes and looked up, Akari was sitting up. She was staring at him.

"Akari?" He sat up and felt something wet on his hand, he looked and saw a teardrop.

He felt water in his eyes.

"Merry Christmas, I gave you a dream of a future that we can't have." He looked at her .

"How did you do that?" She looked under the bed and took out a box.

"Mephisto told me to open it on Christmas morning, he told me to have it but I wanted to give you it." She had her eyes lowered.

He pulled her in his arms and hugged her.

"Rin?"

"That's the best present I had for Christmas I ever had." She smiled at him.

"I'm glad that you like it."

Izumo, Shiemi, Akari and Tohru walked through the city streets.

"Why are we in the city even through I'm not allow to be in?" She had a hat over her face.

"We have to find the perfect gift for you to give to Rin for his birthday!" Shiemi told her.

"But what about Yukio?" Sheimi's eyes went wide.

"And find something for Yuki too!" They walked into stores but couldn't find anything.

"How are we supposed to find something for a idiot like Rin in these stores?"

"Maybe they like manga!" Shiemi said as she saw a manga store. She pulled Izumo's arm with her, leaving Akari and Tohru.

"Akari." Akari looked at Tohru. "Do you believe in ghosts?"

"Well, kinda. I used to see one every now and then since I was a child. It was kinda rare to see one."

"I see ghosts all the time and they want someone to listen to their stories and they want to help to cross onto the lines of heaven. I never see a ghost at the temple but when you and your friends came, I keep seeing one ghost." Akari's eyes went wide as she stared at Tohru.

"We didn't find anything! But we will find something!" Shiemi said outloud to them.

Few hours later

Shiemi and Izumo sighed and panted, they laid back in the bench.

"15 stores and nothing. Why can't we find anything?" Izumo yelled outloud.

Akari and Tohru stood watching the kids skating on the ice.

"Tohru, the ghost you keep seeing. Is it a kind ghost?" Tohru looked at her.

"Yes, she always plays with the children and plays the piano at night when everyone is gone or asleep. It's like she wants someone to see her or hear her that's not a child, but the children know who the ghost is." Akari stared at her.

"Akari!" She looked in front of her and saw the boys playing with the children on the ice, Rin waved at her.

She waved back, he tried skating to her but he fell and slid to her.

"Wanna ice skate?" He held out his hand to her, she smile at him and took it.

"I would love to." She looked at Tohru, Tohru smiled at her.

"By the snowflakes that fall down from the dust of the stars, I call onto you my snow white." She bit her finger and blood fell onto a magic circle paper that she held out, a small snow fairy came out.

The snow fairy blew out a air that touched Akari's shoes, it made ice blades on the bottom of her shoes.

Akari held on to Rin to test the blades, she thanked Tohru.

"If you want them off, just hit them with a tree."

"Okay, thanks." Rin tried to skate but almost fell, Akari chuckled at him.

"I like to see you try!" She gave a grin, she skated across the pond and jumped in the air to do a 360 twist and landed on her feet.

Rin and the boys were shocked by what they saw.

"She...just did a 360."

"You do know her mother was a figure skater and she taught her how." Yukio pushed up his glasses, Rin sighed.

"I'm going to do and beat her!" He stood up with his hand in the air.

"That's bad to say that you are going to beat your girlfriend." Shima said, Rin tried to skate but he kept falling on his face.

Akari looked at Rin and whispered to the kids around her, the kids looked at Rin and nodded.

"Hey dummy!" He looked up at the kids.

"I'm not a dummy."

"Wanna learn how to skate?" He gave a look at them. "We're not lying."

"Okay." The kids helped him skate, Akari watched them with a grin on her face.

"It seems that the kids are teaching the older kid." Mephisto said to himself, Akari looked at him in the corner of her eye.

"Yeah." He looked at her.

"He's birthday is tomorrow."

"I know."

"Do you have a gift for him?" She was silence. "I knew it."

He took out a box from his coat and handed to her, she looked at the gift.

"No."

"Why? It's another dream, he will love it."

"I'm going to do it myself. I let him have that one gift but this one I have to get it that's from the heart." Mephisto gave a grin and sighed.

"Alright, but it's going to take you forever to do it."

"I know. But it's for him." Mephisto stared at her and saw the woman with black hair standing in front of him.

He lowered his eyes.

"You remind me so much of her."

"I know." The kids yelled for her, she looked at Mephisto before skating away from him.

Tohru looked at Mephisto, she saw the woman with black hair standing beside him.

"She looks happy and so does he." Tohru smiled.

"That was hard! I can't believe I learn how to skate now!" Rin had his fist in the air.

"You fell 105 times." Shima told him.

The group walked through the city, Rin heard music from a store and looked.

He saw Akemi on all of the tvs, she was singing with a short dress on.

So that's Akemi, the popluar singer.

He looked at Akari who was beside him, she stared at the tvs.

Akari.

She touched her choker and gave a smile.

"She used to think that she was the mastermind of her own world, I used to pretend that I was the little bunny that she loved more than anything." He looked at the tv, Akemi was dressed up like a evil mastermind with a bunny in her hands.

Akari smiled at herself, she walked away from him.

He stared at her and walked into the store.

Everyone sat around Rin and Yukio as they opened their presents from everyone.

"This is from Mother Mary." Tohru gave them a present that was wrapped in paper, they opened it.

"A new gun? I thought you were a nun." Rin looked at her.

"He needed a new one, and his old one was in the way."

"And I got a sword."

"That's for a backup just in cause if your sword breaks or you forgot it."

"But I won't need another sword cause I gots the moves." Luka looked at him and hit him in the head.

"Hey!"

"And that was your gift from me." Everyone laughed at them, Rin and Yukio smiled at everyone and thanked them.

Everyone went to their room and went to sleep. Rin and Yukio put away their gifts and went to bed.

I wonder what Akari got for me for my birthday.

"Hey, I got another gift." Rin looked at Yukio, he held a small box in his hands.

"Who is from?" He looked at the box and a tag came out, he looked at it.

"Akari."

"Where did you find it?"

"It was hiding beside my pillow." Rin looked at his bed and looked for a gift but nothing was there.

Akari didn't get me anything.

Few minutes later while everyone was asleep.

Rin felt something in the room, he opened his eyes and looked around. He saw the dog that looked like a cat.

"You!" He whispered to the dog, the dog walked away from Rin.

He stood up and ran after the dog, the dog went upstairs to Akari's room. Rin looked at the door.

That dog, why does it keep making me do this? Dogs aren't supposed to sound like cats!

He was going to knock on the door but it opened slowly to him, he looked in a little to see if Akari was asleep but she wasn't in her bed.

"Akari?" He said in a whisper, he opened the door and saw her in the balcony. She was staring at the night sky, her nightgown was flowing in the wind with her long white hair.

She turned around and her eyes were wide to see Rin standing in front of her door.

Silence filled the room till...

"I-I didn't come in here t-to peek on y-y-y-y-you. I-I-IT WAS THE DOG! THE DOG IS THE FAULT!" Akari fell to the floor, he ran to her side and picked her up in his arms. "Akari? What's wrong?"

Few minutes later

Akari had her head in Rin lap, she looked up at him.

"I can't believe you made yourself almost starve to death, you could have come down to eat cake at least." He told her with his hand on her forehead.

He kissed her forehead and gave her a plate that had cake on it, she sat up and ate it.

"Why didn't you come down to celebrate?" Akari shallowed the piece and wiped her mouth, she looked at him with no words coming out.

She's not saying anything.

"I was afraid." She said to him.

"Afraid of what?" He looked at her, her hands gripped her nightgown.

"I was afraid that people around me would make fun of me when I give you your gift." He gave a confused face, she lunged at him and kissed him on the lips.

She pulled away from him and held a box in her hands. He looked at her and grabbed the box.

He opened it and took out the present, it was a necklace that had a locket on it.

"I thought that you would put a picture of Shiro, Yukio and you on it or your mother on it." Akari lowered her head and blushed.

He smiled at her and kissed her on the forehead.

She looked up at him and smiled at him, she grabbed the necklace and put it around his neck. The locket hanged from the chain, he looked down at the necklace and hugged Akari.

"I love it, I will always wear this no matter what." She smiled at him and wrapped her arms around him.

"I'm happy that you do." Rin looked at Akari and kissed her on lips.

Everyone packed their stuff onto the bus, the boys carried the heavy stuff.

"Why do we have to carry the heavy stuff?" Shima whined to Luka.

"Because, women have to pack and unpack."

"That's no reason!"

"Do you want to loose a arm?" Shima gave a scared face and picked up the stuff.

Rin and Yukio walked to the bus.

"Rin, Yukio. Can you come here for a moment?" Mother Mary asked them, they walked to her.

"I know that you two are sixteen now and you are both are going to see the world of adults." Rin and Yukio blushed at her. "And one of you is going to be like Shiro."

She and Yukio looked at Rin, he looked at them.

"What?" Mother Mary gave a sigh.

"It's been two years now since he died and he gave you both a gift for your birthday if he ever died." She held out two gifts in her hands and gave them each one.

They stared at the gifts.

"Don't open it till you get on the bus and good luck." She kissed them both on the forehead, they looked at her and walked away.

Rin looked at her, she gave a smile.

"Rin, whatever happens. Yours and Akari's love will always the strongest, and. You and her are not the only ones." He gave a confused look.

"Rin! Come on!" Luka yelled at him, Rin gave a smile at Mother Mary and ran to the bus.

The bus drove away from the bus stop, Mother Mary waved good bye and the children too.

"Mother Mary, what do you mean 'not the only ones'?" Sakura asked her, she looked down at her.

"It means that their love is the only one that won't be accept in this world." She stared at the bus.

Rin sat beside Akari with the gift in his hands, Akari looked at it.

"What's that?" She had her head on his shoulder.

"I don't really know." He and Yukio opened their gifts, each had a picture.

Yukio had a picture of him, Shiro and Rin together and a letter, he read it and had a tear in his eye but he wiped it away.

Dear Yukio, this is the last picture that was taken before my death. Please make sure that your brother isn't going to be in any trouble and that one day, he and Akari would be together in the world. And I hope that one day, you would be the smartest exorcist that anyone has ever seen.

Rin looked at the picture and had a tear in his eye, the picture had a picture of Shiro, Yukio and him when they were young.

"There's a letter." He opened the letter and read it.

Dear Rin, this letter is the last letter that I ever wrote before my death and you have met Akari. She's a nice girl with a strong heart, don't make her cry or Luka will beat you up. Trust me, I have the bruises to prove. But I want you to show the world that your love for her is real and one day, have a child that would show everyone that half demons can love.

Rin looked at Akari, she was sleeping on his shoulder. He gave a smile to her.

Someday, I will have a child that would be happy in this world and given love by me and Akari.

Akemi stood on the balcony, she gave a grin and disappered.

The walls of the children's playroom were filled with pictures of Akari and Rin together, also pictures of Akemi and Akari together smiling.
