Akari laid sleeping in her bed, her cuts were wrapped up in glauses.

Mephisto stood beside her, he stared at Akari's sleeping face and touched her forehead. He kissed it and sat in a chair beside her bed.

"Akari fell from the 3rd story window by slipping on the wet floor. It was a accident and she should have paid more attention to her surroundings." The teacher said as she looked at the students in her class.

"Accident? She was paying attention!" Bon put his hand on Shima's mouth, he pointed to the seat next to him, they looked at Rin.

He had his head lowered and didn't speak, he hadn't speak for the past two days. He kept replaying the accident in his head, the blood and her lifeless body.

I should...I should have...done something...but all I did...was watch her falling.

Luka stood in the courtyard as the rain came down, she stared at the bloody grass. She lowered her head and her hands were shaking.

"Why don't you care about me? You only care about her! Why don't you understand my pain? None of you understand like she did! Having a demon being kept inside of you, always telling you to kill people. None of you will ever understand!"

"Maybe I should cut you up in little pieces and feed you to the lower demons as the trash you are."

Luka gave a scowl and hit the cherry blossom tree with her fist, her eyes were green.

I should have told her to shut it...but...

"Can you not hurt the poor trees? They already suffered enough with the blood spilling on them." Luka turned around and saw a woman with red hair, she held a yellow umbrella above her head.

"Melusine...I should have know, you're the only person that I know that can make this much rain." The woman smiled and looked at Luka.

"You've been crying, I can see those tears in your eyes." She pointed her eyes, Luka looked away.

"Did you know?" Melusine walked to the tree and touched it, she looked up at it.

"Yes, I believe it was Ayumi that told me what happened." Luka gave a chuckle, Melusine looked at her. "She was crying the whole time she told me, she couldn't stop."

Luka didn't say anything, Melusine sighed and looked back at the tree.

"And a little bright of light told me that Marie called Levi." Luka looked at her with wide eyes. "She used Mary's time stopping power to let Levi heal Akari."

"That's why I didn't see him." Melusine gave a grin.

"But, it's been a while since I last saw him with Marie. I have always wondered what will happen to their future." She looked up at the raining sky.

"Future? Their future cannot happen, it's not allowed." Luka said with her head lowered, Melusine looked at her.

"Like Akari and Rin?" Luka looked at her.

"You know his name?" Melusine gave a chuckle.

"How wouldn't I? With what happened last year with the battle against Father?" Luka looked away. "But, I see potential in that kid and his twin. They'll maybe beat Father."

"That wouldn't happen! They are too young!" Luka yelled outloud to her.

"But they are filled with hopes and dreams at that age they are in, and Akari is the same too. She's always filled with hope that someday she will be break free from Daphoene's power, you seen that haven't you?" Luka lowered her head. "You don't have to be a mother to see that."

"She's right and you know it." Mother Mary said as she walked beside Melusine with a gray umbrella.

"You came, even after we told you to stay back at Akinabara." She said to her.

"But I wanted to see Akari, it's been almost a month since I last seen her." She looked at Luka with a small smile. "You have always watched over Akari, and I think it's time for you to let her go. She's old enough to choose her own path and her future."

"But, the Kings and Queens-"

"So what? They will be angry about it and do something but they won't hurt Akari, she's precious and has a gift that no demon has. She's stronger than me, she hasn't shown that power yet but she will. When the time comes...She will be almost powerful than Father with Rin's help."

Luka stared at Marie, she looked down and her fist tighted. Mother Mary put her hand on her shoulder.

"Don't fight for people that have ordered you around, fight for yourself and those who you love. Didn't Akemi teach you that?" Luka had a tear fell down her cheek and she bit her bottom lip.

"She didn't die for no reason, she died for the people she loved and she will always be remembered in our hearts." Mother Mary looked up at Mephisto's office window. "Even those who don't show their love, they are the ones that are suffering the most."

Luka put her hands on her face and cried, she sobbed quietly only letting Mother Mary and Melusine hear her.

Marie looked out the window, she stared at the rain and leaned her forehead against the cold glass.

"No matter what, I will always love you even with the sins that you have committed."

She closed her eyes and slept.

"Levi! I call thee name!" Young Marie held out her hands and her fingernails glowed, a swirl of cherry blossoms had a man with a cloak in it.

The man bowed to Marie.

"My lady, you have called my name?" Marie gave a smile, she looked at Akemi behind her.

Akemi was leaning against a cherry blossom tree, she gave a thumbs up and smiled at her.

Next day

"Can you take down that hood? I want to see your face." She reached up to him and touched the hood, he put his hand on her shoulder.

He took the hood off, his hair was sliver and his eyes were bright pink. He had brown goat horns and pointed ears.

Marie smiled at him.

"I like you better like this." He blushed a little at her and gave a sigh.

A few months later

"Levi, are you okay?" Marie ran to Levi, he held his shoulder.

"I'm fine Miss Marie, it's just a scatch to me." Cherry blossoms flew to his arm and healed his wound, Marie gave a sigh and smiled.

"I'm just glad you are okay." The man looked at Marie with pink cheeks but gave a small smile.

A few weeks later

"Levi, can you not call me Miss Marie?" She looked at him.

"What about My Lady?" He stared at her.

"That's worser." She gave a nervous look.

"Then what should I call you?" She gave a smile at him.

"Just Marie is fine." He gave a shocked look at her but he gave a smile and bowed to her.

"As you wish, Marie." She smiled at him.

A few months later

Marie fell into Levi's arms and sighed, her eyes were closed.

"Marie, are you alright?" He stared down at her, she cause him to fall down against the wall.

"I'm tired." She said in one breath.

"Then I shall take you to your bed." He was going to pick her up in his arms but she grabbed his arm tight.

"No, I want to stay right here. It's warm and nice." He blushed at her and smiled, he closed his eyes and pet her head.

Marie had tears in her eyes as she slept, a shadow stood in the room across from her.

Mephisto stood beside the sleeping Akari, she brushed a lock of hair away from her face.

Akemi, you had taught this child how to love but you never taught her how to fight with her demons.

He looked around him, he saw the broken mirror in the bathroom. He walked in the bath and looked around him at the pieces of the broken mirror.

He looked at the mirror straight and gave a grin.

"How long do you plan to watch me?" A dark figure showed up in the mirror, the figure turned into a young woman with red eyes and black hair with a grin on her face.

"I wasn't watching you, I was observing."

"In a broken mirror? She didn't broke the mirror, you did." She chuckled and flipped her hair.

"You know me so well don't you? Samael." He gave a scowl.

"I should kill you but I won't."

"You won't? You can't. I'm the reason why she's alive aren't I? Without me, she's nothing." She looked at the sleeping Akari and gave a grin. "Too bad she won't be able to have that body and mind anymore."

Mephisto hit the mirror with his umbrella, the woman's laugh echoed as the shards of the mirror fell to the floor.

He looked at the shards around him and gave a scowl.

"Too bad she won't be able to have that body and mind anymore."

Her words echo through his head, he shooked his head.

Her insanity is trying to stuck out my mind like a bloodsucker she is.

He looked at Akari and gave a grin, he walked to her and kissed her on the forehead.

"I won't let her take you away from me, I promised your mother." He looked at the picture frame on Akari's nightstand, he smiled and looked at Akari.

I always promised your mother many things, but this has to not be broken.

Flashback to a few years ago

"Do you promise?" Young Akemi asked Mephisto.

"Promise what?" He put his hands on his hips and gave a look at her.

"Promise that you will take care of Akari, you will be her godfather and always treat her like she's your own child."

"But I don't want a child. I'm afraid of babies." She sighed at him and pulled his pointed ear. "OW!"

"Promise me that you will take care of her! She's my only child and if I die, I want you and Shiro to take her in!" Mephisto looked at her.

"You won't die."

"How do you know? You can't see my future like everyone else." He grabbed her hands and held them.

"Cause, I know you. You are always surviving through missions and even almost certain death. You will have a happy life with little Kari, you will grow old and see her grow up." She gave a small smile, he kissed her head.

"But you don't know, you don't know how much she's been bearing this pain. The pain of being locked up inside by that demon." He put his hand on her cheek and smiled at her.

"She'll get through this, she's always smiling and laughing like the daughter she is." He kissed her cheek, she looked up at him. "I promise, I promise that I will always watch over her and take her in my arms as the godfather I am."

She smiled at him and hugged him.

"Thank you, for everything."

Mephisto gave a smile and looked at Akari, he sat in the chair and had a tear down his face.

Liebe...I'm keeping that promise no matter what. Even if I have to die, I will keep that last promise you made to me...So I can see you again someday.

Marie opened her watery eyes and rubbed her eyes, she sat up as she rubbed.

"You're crying like a little baby like you are." The shadow said to her, Marie took out a gun from her pocket and held it in front of her.

"You..." The figure walked into the light, it held it's hands up.

"I only wanted to talk. Marie." Marie gave a scowl.

"Dani or should I say, Lilith?" Dani smiled at her.
