" What do we got, Androse," the man asked, lighting up a ciggarette while he waited for the report.

" We know she's female by the clothes she's wearing. As far as I can tell from the stage of decompostion she's in she hasn't been in the water very long. Five days at the most."

That's five days too long he thought to himself. " Anything else to go by, like an age range or possible Id?"

"There wasn't any identification on the body and I can't be too sure, possibly late teens to mid-twenties. I'll know more once I get her back to the morgue and do a thorough examination."

" You do that. You know where to reach me when your through."

" Yes, Sir. Carl, I'm done over here." She signaled to a young morgue technician and he carefully made his way over the rocky path with a guerny.

Stepping around the scene she walked up beside the detective. " By the look on your face I'm assuming you've been paying attention to the news." Finishing the last drag of his ciggarette he flicked the butt into the water.

" What the hell is that supposed to mean." he asked looking down at her knowing exactly what she was talking about.

" Don't bullshit me, Harrison. You know damn well what I mean and don't tell me that you don't think it odd that just last week the body of another young woman was pulled out of this same river not five miles from here." She stated, pulling a ciggarette of her own out of her pocket.

" If your going to say what I think it is your going to say, then don't. That's all we need is for the media to get wind of this and have this city in a state of panic. Besides, I thought it wasn't in your nature to jump to conclusions before you've seen everything under a microscope." He grinned down at her.

" Who says I'm jumping to conclusions, I'm just putting two an two together." She said taking a hit from her ciggarette.

" Well don't. That's my job, and you've got yours. Now get that body back to the morgue and write up my report."

" Yes, Sir." She stated dryly. Turning she walked to the van and within minutes it was making it's way down the interstate.

As he watched the van drive off into the darkness he pulled out another ciggarette and lit it up. " Shit."

" Ok, show me what you found." Walking over to the table he stood over the body of the young woman that was pulled from the Delaware River only four hours ago.

" Fine but your not going to like it." Walking on the other side of the table she pulled back the sheet to reveal the body of the girl, a large Y-incision on her swollen chest. " My initial report will show that from the state of decompostion that she was in the water for four days." She started, feeding him a little bit at time before she dropped the bomb on him. " Toxicology reports show high amounts of alcohol, other than that her blood was clean. There was no identification on her and CSU didn't find anything at the scene, but on the back of her right should there is a mark. It appears to be a tatoo, of what I'm still trying to figure out." she leaned over and turned on the monitor to reveal pictures of the mark.

He just stared at the screen, waiting for something to jump out at him, when nothing did he turned back to her. " What about cause of death." He knew she was stalling and his patience was running thin to be playing this game with her.
" Her lungs were empty. She was dead before she hit the water." she said, letting it sink in before continuing. " If you look right here," she said pointing to the neck. " You'll see the lacerations. She was strangled to death. I pulled a few fibers out of the wounds."

" And?" He asked looking up at her, knowing the answer already.

" Bailing twine. Look, Greg. I know you told me not to say it, but she fits the case of the woman found last week."

" I know." was all he said.

Looking down at the body the only thing he could think of was who she was. What she had done for a living? Did she have a family? What her laugh sounded like?

" Greg?" He looked up to see her looking at him with a worried expression on her face.

" I'll notify the captain about our situation." He said dully, walking away.

Harrison was sitting at his desk going over the rest of the report that Androse had typed up. According to the report the woman was caucasian, between nineteen and twenty-three and had given birth to at least one child. He couldn't help but think that there was a child out there that didn't have a mother anymore. He had notified the Captain about the ME's findings and wasn't the least bit surprised at his reaction. He had excused him from his office and set about calling local and out of state police, asking them if they had any unsolved case within the last ten years where young women were pulled from the Delaware River. He had been in there the last hour talking to various police chiefs. Figuring he wasn't going to get much done sitting around and staring at the file, he picked up his coat and walked out of the office. Once outside he leaned against the building and pulled his ciggarettes out of his pocket and lit one. Inhaling the smoky fumes and then exhaling. "Shit."
