A/N: Still don't own Cold Case. Oh well, I think I'll live. Can anyone tell me who the new girl is?

Lily purposely kept her distance as she walked ahead of Scotty. They were walking back to the precinct after a very tense lunch only briefly discussing their new case. After Stillman had informed them that he had recieved a call from the Camden New Jersey police chief asking if they had any unsolved cases regarding young women who were pulled from the Delaware River, he pulled Scotty aside to talk with him privately. Lily thought it was unusal but dismissed it almost immediately and went with Vera and Jeffries to the file room to dig up any cases that fit what they were looking for.

It was obvious that what ever Stillman had said to him was the most present thing on his mind than the case at the moment.

Reaching headquarter doors Lily pulled them open not bothering to hold the door open for Scotty. Brushing past the security guard she made her way to the elevator and stepped in pushing the button for her floor and leaning roughly against the wall.

" Rough day I take it?" Lily looked over to the person who had spoken to her. Lily's first thought was how handsome he was. He stood a little over six feet and had short cropped brown hair and eyes to match. She couldn't help but smile and he smiled in return, showing a row of beautifully white teeth.

" You could say that." she said, looking away a little embarrased for having stared at him for so long.

" Yea, I get those a lot. Especially today. Today is definitely not a good day for me." He said rubbing his hand up and down his cheek.

She couldn't help but smile again. " Hope it gets better for you." The doors of the elevator swung open and she exited. Expecting to be the only one to get off he followed right behind her, not thinking anything of it she made her way back to the office. The handsome stranger right on her heels.

Walking into the office she walked past all the other desks and over to hers, taking off her blazer and setting it on the back of her chair. Sitting down she started going through the case files and looked up when someone stood next to her. " I'm sorry can I help you?" She asked looking into the face of the Handsome Stranger.

" Actually, yea. I have an appontment with a Captain Stillman at," He looked down at his watch, " Well now actually." He said smiling at her.

He didn't have long to wait as Stillman walked out of his office and introduced himself. " Detective Harrison I presume?" He asked extending his hand.

" Yes, Sir." He said shaking the extended hand.

" I'm Captain Stillman. This," He said motioning towards Lily," is Detective Rush. You'll be working with her and DetectiveValens going through the files."

" Yea, we already met in the elevator." He said shaking her hand and smiling even wider. He couldn't believe his luck he thought to himself." Guess I'm going to be having a good day after all." He said to her. Lily blushed at his remark.

She was so entranced by his smile she didn't see Scotty walk in. " Thanks for holding the elevator, Lil." he said dryly. Not yet noticing the stranger who still had a hold of Lil's hand.

Rolling her eyes she looked at him, " You looked like you could use the exercise."

Scotty didn't laugh, he just looked at the man who was smiling at her and holding her hand. It was slightly surprising because she looked as if she didn't mind the contact. Any other man would be on the ground screaming 'Uncle'. Scotty couldn't help the swell of jealousy that was bubbling up inside of him.

Trying his best to quelch it he turned to the man." Hi, Scott Valens." He said extending his hand.

Turning the man finally pulled his gaze away from Lily long enough to introduce himself. " Greg Harrison."

Scotty just stared at him wondering if he should know him some how.

Stillman picking up on the confusion explained further. " Scotty, This is Detective Harrison from the Camden police department, he'll be helping you and Lil go over the case files."

" Oh, yea. Yea, Okay." He said. " Nice to meet you detective."

" Likewise."

" I'll let you guys get to work." Stillman spoke up, turning around he walked into his office and sat down behind his desk. Watching the threesome sit down at the table in the middle of the room studying the files, only one word came to his mind. Trouble.

A/N : I would like to thank Snow Ivy, Kawaii-Peach14, and Mary Rose for their reviews so far. I know it's not much but it helps a lot thanks you guys! And thanks for the suggestion Snow Ivy, but sadly there will not be much Scotty/Lily romance. Right now I'm just trying to work on their friendship. Can't have a romance unless your friends first, right. But the sequel is a different story. Yes I already have the sequel! Just not on paper yet. Toodles.
