I want to thank my friend Sulya for inspiring me to write this story But I'm finishing with it for a while. I may delete it all together. At the moment I just don't see this story going anywhere. If any of you guys enjoy anything like, Narnia, Maze Runner or Percy Jackson, please check out some of the new stories I've uploaded if you're ever waiting for an update on this (if there is going to be another one). I would be very grateful if you did.
Russell didn't say much as he stormed back to his dormitory. But just because he was in silence physically didn't mean he was mentally. His mind was racing with anger over what had just happened. What had the boy been thinking?! Was it all just to prove a point?! What was going through Jamie's head!
Along the way the fellow Griffindors snickered and grinned at him smugly... well that was those who didn't look at him as though he had committed bloody murder or had just done the most scandalous thing in the history of Hogwarts! He knew that word could travel beyond the average speed around this castle, but even by their standards, this was ridiculous! Did they have absolutely nothing better to do than just talk about him and his love life?! Why couldn't they just stick their wands against their heads and go and cast incendio or something!
"Russell!"
The boy just shook his head as he walked away from the great hall. Not even Jamie calling his name at the moment would have been enough to stop him from his angry storm away. He needed time by himself to just think about what the hell had happened. He was still struggling to just understand exactly what he had witnessed. He hoped to himself that he had been hallucinating a lot of it. "Russell please!" Jamie begged but Russell locked his fist shut. He couldn't. Not now. Not after what he had just done.
Jamie's inky locks were bouncing as he sprinted after his boyfriend. What have I done?! His thoughts snarled as he chased after Russell. "WHAT THE HELL WERE YOU THINKING!?" Russell barked over his shoulder.
"I... I wasn't! I just couldn't let him-"
"DO WHAT JAMIE?!" Russell turned and his boyfriend ran straight into his chest. Jamie locked his hands around his wrist. Russell's eyes were pained with a kind of betrayal which Jamie just couldn't understand. "Why do you care so much about what he does?!"
"I'm sick of him thinking he's just so superior is all!"
"You should rise above it."
"Russell-"
"Go away Jamie!"
"RUSSELL" The boy screamed.
His hand closed into a fist as he was losing his patience and his anger was rising out of his control. "INCARCERUS!"
In one swift move Jaime pointed his wand and watched the ropes launch out the point as they went spinning through the air to lash around his Boyfriend.
Russell only turned in time to slash his wand up like a knife as the ropes fell into pieces at his feet. "W-What?"
"I think we both know how we need to settle this."
"Fine." Jamie huffed.
A prefect came sprinting around the corner of the stairs, just in time to bellow. "NOT IN THE-"
"STUPEFY!" Both boys roared as their wands began to unleash a blitz of quick shots at each other.
Russell dived back as one launch over his head, just brushing the air over his hair. He span his wand over his finger and stabbed it through the air as he fired a wave of shots towards Jamie's torso. He grinned slightly as a rush of adrenaline was rushing through him. "I SAID NOT IN THE HALLS!" The prefect shouted again, only to fall silent when both boys turned with pointed glares at him and aimed their wands at his throat and chest. "N-Never mind." He squeaked and ran off when the two boys continued their duel.
"Come on Jamie!" Russell drew the boys anger to the surface as his boyfriend shot him a repeat of the glare. "You're going to have to fight better than this if you really want to beat Parker so much!"
"Oh shut it." Jamie muttered as a new red flash exploded out his wand.
Instead of the usual battle charm they were using, this one burned as it bounced off the wall and took the larger shape of a Lion which dived towards Russell's neck. "Not bad inky." He smirked and slid his leg out as he went into a split crouch. His torso almost scraped the ground but that didn't stop the lion from getting one good slash along his back.
"Oh I think it's quite good."
"Not as good as you would think."
Jamie's leg gave out as Russell got one good shot at it.
"You've been practising." Jamie grabbed onto the railing and pulled himself to his feet. "If that's the case, how about we push the levels up a bit."
"Fine by me."
Leo felt the slight dripping of blood moving down his back as the red flare of a lion came to rest by Jamie. It purred at his leg for attention and the boy smiled kindly down at it. It's eyes flashed gold as it's crimson body shook like mist in the air. "Let's play Russell."
Russell how ever slowly stood and backed himself up the the edge of the staircase. One more step back and he would have fallen down the expanding gap. From this height it would kill him. The wild beast spell was designed to knock an opponent and pin him down... but right now that would mean making his boyfriend fall to his death! "Come on Leo. Play fair." Jamie grinned.
"Oh don't worry about me babe."
He slowly raised his wand and began to step back. "Russell... what are you doing?" He raised an eyebrow as the boy just moved back all the more slightly. "Yeah... stop it now."
Russell began to fall back.
"RUSSELL!"
His spell disipated as Jamie dove forward and wrapped his arms around his boyfriend only to scream as the world dropped around him and began to fly away.
What the hell was going on!
"Game on Jamie!" Russell laughed and held onto the boy he loved with great care.
