Chapter seven! Whoo hoo. Thank you DestinyVerge and Dario flaman for reviewing last chapter. Y'all are awesome! :)

Disclaimer: I do not own Pokemon sadly.

The sun was going down, the setting was beautiful. We didn't make it to Violet City sadly, which we had to camp at the edge of Route 30 and Route 31. To my distaste, I had to sleep outside.

Now may I remind you, I am not much of a camper here. I grabbed my blue sleeping bag setting it down on the hard ground. Jake and Amelia followed my lead , them to placing their sleeping bags at a safe distance from mine.

"Bubba! Can you make a bonfire?" Amelia asked, sitting on her sleeping bag. Jake took off his shoes, rubbing the back of his neck.

"Amelia, you know as well as I do, that I don't know how to make one." Amelia pouted at her older brother's answer, crossing her arm.

"That never stopped Dad before!" Amelia complained, crossing her legs. Jake rolled his eyes.

"I ain't Dad here, no am I? Now go get dressed, it's getting late." Jake ordered, narrowing his eyes at the younger girl. She stuck her tongue at him and quickly stood up to rummage through her bag for her sleepwear.

I watched the scene, with a smirk of amusement. It reminded me of my relationship with my younger brother Reede. I watched Amelia disappear behind the trees to get changed.

I guess Jake had forgotten I was there, because he then started to take off his shirt. Blushing bright red, I covered my eyes.

"What in the gods name are you doing?!" I asked turning my body away so I wouldn't look.

"Eh, oops. I forgot you were there for a moment." He apologized as I heard more rustling. Afraid to see if he was still changing, I did not look. Looks like I really was invisible sometimes.

"I don't see how, it's kinda hard to forget an extra person." I explained.

"Not really if that person is quiet and I have my sister's antics to distract my mind." I could hear to joking tone he had.

"Pshhh. If you think that is bad. You wouldn't be able to deal with my younger brother. " I joked also, chuckling at the thought of my brother.

"You have a brother?"

"Of course."

"Well, missy, you act like I would know that." I heard him rummage through his bag, as I took the courage to peek. Luckily for me, he was decent. I let out a sigh of relief as I too started to look through my bag.

"Sorry. I shouldn't have assumed." I told him, picking out my PJ's.

"Damn straight. " He chuckled, his brown eyes staring at me. I felt uneasy as I was never the one that had liked any attention. Hunching over to hide my self, I rolled my eyes at him.

"Jake, I am about to change. Please stop staring." I said, as he quickly looked away. I felt the tension in my shoulders let up as I stood up to go change behind a tree.

As I waltz over to the tree, ChiChi followed close behind. She kept looking around nervously, being ultra aware of her surroundings. Like me, she didn't like being around new people she didn't knew. Or so I was assuming.

"Hey..." I knelt down to eye level. "It's going to be okay. These are... Nice people." I let out a shaky smile, as she didn't seemed convinced. I wasn't saying Jake and Amelia were bad people, they were just unknown people.

After getting quickly changed with ChiChi watching out for perverts, we went back to the siblings who were now curled up in their sleeping bags.

"Huh, you could say they are knockouts. " I whispered to ChiChi, chuckling inside my hand.

After getting situated ourselves in the sleep ware, we were both out like a night light.

I felt something hard poking me in my side. I moaned in my state of drowsiness, waving my hand in the air dismissively. The poking kept prodding on.

Ignoring it, I tried to get comfortable in the sleeping bag once more, hoping the poking would stop. Luckily it did. For about a minute.

Jab.

I yelped, sitting up right away. Jake twirled the stick in his hands as he snickered at my reaction. Amelia stood beside him holding back a fit of giggles.

I glared dangerously at Jake as I rubbed my side to where he had jabbed me.

The siblings were dressed and packed, ready to go.

"You're slow." Amelia commented, pointing to how I was still in PJ's, still holding back her giggles.

"Oh ha ha. Why in the blazing hells are we leaving so early anyways?" I asked the two, getting out my clothes as I packed up my things from the camp.

Man was I swore from sleeping on the hard ground. Oh how I longed for the comfort of a bed at that moment .

"The early Pidgey gets the Caterpie!" Jake chirped, leaning on his toes in excitement. I looked up at the sky to see the sun was only coming up. I groaned.

I was traveling with morning people. Arceus kill me now. Please. Something swift and easy. That is all I ask for. I stood up and stretch, my back popping in the process.

"Man, you aren't use to being in the woods, are ya?" Inquired Jake, as he was eyeing me with a watching eye.

"Nah, you just now noticed?" I snapped sarcastically, grabbing my clothes to change behind a tree.

"Bubba's use to this type of stuff! Falkner made them get up early all the time! He's even had to sleep in a-!" I looked out in the clearing to see what made her stop talking. Jake was putting his hand over her mouth, slightly glaring at his younger sister.

" Amelia, let's not speak about that, please? I still get nightmares about that." He shuttered. Amelia rolled her eyes, shoving his hand away.

"It's not my fault you were treated as a baby Pidgey!" She said childishly, as Jake's horrified eyes widened.

"Amelia!" He scolded , crossing his arms disappointingly at his younger sister. She looked away sheepishly, as if she realized what she had just done.

"Oops?"

I was sooo going to get the story later even if it killed me.

I quickly finished getting ready, applied some make up, and I was ready to go.

The rest of the trip to Violet City went smoothly for the most part.

I trained ChiChi up a little bit, but she had yet not learned a new move yet. What a bummer.

During the route whenever we had come across Trainers I had let Amelia do most of the battling. I had not wanted to put myself in the situation I was in with Youngster Joey. That could not be allowed to happen again.

Turns out, as her starter Pokemon, Amelia was granted a Starly. I had thought it was a strange Pokemon to start out with, but then again, she did get it from a Flying Type Gym, so I shouldn't be to surprised. It was just that it's so common in the Sinnoh region, you'd think she would have gotten something better. Guess not.

It could have been worse for her. She could have a Pidgey as her starter.

Those damn things.

She was already a step ahead of me too, as she had found her willing second team member.

We were casually walking along the road , trying to get to Violet City. I was in thought with what I was going to do whenever I had reached Violet City. Was I going to leave the siblings behind? Was I going to take the Gym Challenge? What about my Rivals? Surely they were probably there by now...

I was truly stumped with what direction I was going to take my Pokemon Journey . There had to be some sort of purpose.

ChiChi tugged on to my sock , grabbing my attention. I stopped and looked down at the young Pokemon. She started to point behind her. Curious, I turned around to see the siblings staring at a shaking patch of grass with wide eyes.

I approached the two with a raised eye brow. Why had they stopped?

Jake was frantically whispering to Amelia, as if he was a football coach giving one of his players a play by play. Amelia simultaneously nodded her head, her arms up in determination.

"Um. What are you guys doing?" I asked , as it was a strange sight to see. Was this normal for them?

They both shushed me in sync , then turning back to the patch of grass. I stood there, stumped to what to do next. So I decided to wait to see what they would do next.

Suddenly, Amelia gave a war cry, shrilling like Loudred on crack. I almost jumped out of my skin with the sudden noise, ChiChi had also jumped behind me for protection. Amelia then leaped into the grass, commencing a battle with the poor shell shocked Pokemon.

The Pokemon Amelia had battled was a small Teddiursa, staring at her with surprised eyes. Amelia called out her Starly , ordering it to tackle the small teddy bear.

As the two were battling, I shuffled over to Jake. He glanced over at me out of the corner of his eyes as he too was in a stance to cheer Amelia on. I didn't see why he couldn't stand like I normal human being.

"Hey Jake," He straighten up, turning his attention onto me now. " How much do you wanna bet Momma Bear is somewhere near?" I smirked evilly as his face paled. He hadn't thought of that conclusion before, I assumed. How long did she have till an angry Ursaring came to protect her baby ?

"Amelia! Try to finish this battle quickly!" Jake called out to his younger sister, as she commanded for one more tackle. She turned her head towards us, rolling her eyes.

"Bubba, I got this! I know how to battle!" She told him hotly, crossing her arms. I could see Jake bite the inside of his cheek.

"She never listens..." He mummer to me, shaking his head.

I shrugged my shoulders, not sure if I could say anything that would be a positive side to his disappointment.

"Alright! Time to catch this Pokemon!" Amelia hollered, expanding an empty Pokeball. She took a stance of one of a baseball player, then she threw it.

It hit the Teddiursa with a nasty clunk, as it disappeared into the red beam. It was as if everything went into slow motion that moment as we waited as the ball rocked back and forth.

One beep.

Two beeps.

Three beeps.

CLICK.

Well call me a dwarf with elf ears! She had actually caught the adorable Pokemon.

Amelia also seemed surprised as she stood there, as if waiting for a catch. When a few seconds had passed, with no signs of the Teddiursa escaping it's Pokeball, Amelia jumped and cheered in joy.

"Yes! I caught my first Pokemon!" She snatched up the ball, showing it proudly over at us, giving a little happy dance in our direction.

I gave her a small smiled, though I couldn't help but be a little jealous . Here she had a cute adorable Teddiursa while I had a raging 'wants to kill everything' Trapinch.

Just my luck.

Jake stiffened, his face grown more pale than before. I followed his gaze as I saw what made his so stiff. I too froze in horror.

There, a Ursaring towered over Amelia, looking down at the young girl. It was not very happy. Amelia noticed our lack of movement. She then proceeded to glare at us.

"Ya know, you could at least be happy that I caught a Pokemon!" She said, clearly annoyed. Jake pointed behind her, his hand shaking as if it was having a seizure.

Puzzled, Amelia slowly turned her head around.

The Ursaring roared. She screamed , causing the birds in the area to fly away.

"R-Run!" Jake yelled, as we three started to sprint away from the enraged Ursaring.

Luckily for us, it did not give chase.

Violet City was what you called a Traditional City. It had a sense of feeling as if you were in Old Johto. You could see people walk around in Kimonos inside the city. I felt as if I stuck out like a sore thumb.

Amelia smiled as she twirled around in the middle of the street.

"I swear Bubba, this place gets more beautiful every time I see it!" She twirled once again under the cherry blossoms that stood around the Pokemon Center. It was appealing to see, it was as if I was witnessing innocence right in front of me.

ChiChi then joined the girl, twirling parallel to her. I wish I could be so carefree to do the same thing. Towns people that were passing by had started to give us weird looks , as it wasn't an everyday sight to see people twirl in the middle of the street.

I slugged my shoulders, trying to hid myself from there penetrating stares .

"I'll save us a room in the Pokemon Center." I mumbled to Jake, as he waved me off.

"Nah, don't worry about it, we have a room over at the Gym!" He grinned over at me, oblivious to my change of state. I had felt uncomfortable with these people watching us. I just needed to get away.

I walked passed the siblings, about to enter the Center.

"Oh! Karma! Why don't you visit us at the Gym whenever you are done looking around?" Amelia asked, having the same grin as her older brother.

"Uh, sure." I said nervously, giving a small wave as the two started to walk away. I looked down at ChiChi, my smile getting a little bit bigger. I swooped her up in my arms, feeling a little bit comfort from her aura.

When I entered the building in front of me, I was met with an interesting sight.

"You think your so cool, don't you!?" Voice one said angrily.

"Cooler than a freezer." Voice two said calmly, you could hear the eye roll from his voice.

"Why I oughta! No body can be sarcastic but me!"

"Puh-lease. If you have the right wit, anybody can be sarcastic. " Voice one, Adam, and Voice two, Langston, then had a stare off.

Adam looked as if he was having steam appear out of his ears and while Langston looked bored. Langston then noticed me at the entrance giving his full attention to me.

"Oh, hello Karma. It's a pleasure to see you here. " Langston smiled, making my heart skip a beat. I started to bit the inside of my cheek as my hands were busy carrying ChiChi.

ChiChi looked delighted to see Langston, as she reached out to him and his Turtwig. Adam had not liked the fact that he was being ignored now as I could see him grit his teeth.

"Whatever. I am going to go train. " He stomped passed Langston and pushed me aside so he could go outside. Regaining my balance, I glared at where he once was.

I turned back to Langston with a disgusted face.

"What's his problem?" I asked hotly while I approached him. Langston chuckled at my expression, as I bet it was one he had not seen before.

"Beats me. He just came in and challenged me to a Pokemon battle. He didn't like it when I declined him." Shrugging his broad shoulders he watched me while asked Nurse Joy heal my Pokemon.

"So, where are you heading now?" Langston asked out of no where, propping himself on Nurse Joy's counter. My face scrunched up, thinking. What was I going to do?

Sure Amelia asked me to visit the Gym after I was done here. But she said after I looked around. By the looks of it, it seemed as if there wasn't much around.

"Well... I was thinking about going to the Gym to explore..." I said in a unsure tone, fidgeting as his stare just lingered on me. I wasn't sure what answer he had wanted. Plus, I wasn't use to very attractive people looking at me like he was.

Then his face pulled into a light, genuine grin.

"Great! Then you can watch me face the Gym Leader Falkner."

"Turt tur wig!" His Turtwig cheered next to him, seeming excited. It looked extremely cute. And that's coming from a girl that is not the biggest fan of Pokemon themselves.

"Um... Erm... O-okay.." I stuttered, turning my head away from him .

"Though if you would like, I can show you around first." Langston offered, as I received my one Pokeball and one Great ball.

My cheeks heated up at the thought , even though it wasn't anything intimate.

I was never one for attention, and getting all his made me want to bury myself. Gah, how embarrassing.

I nodded in agreement, calling ChiChi back out of her ball. She then proceeded to chit chat with the Turtwig.

"Alright come on then." He jerked his head toward the door, as I followed his lead.
