Welcome to chapter 12 of the story. Here are the headlines for this chapter;

A. Tornado Activity on the Mission- While Francis the Snivy was battling Kuja in a life or death battle, the other half of the team is in Santa Barbara to try to rescue Pascal, but with a tornado on the way, will they be safe?

(Zidane's POV)

B. Luna's Angelic Hero- Luna is on her way back to Los Angeles via teleportation spell. She makes it in time, but this tornado is trying to suck her in… (Francis's/ Luna POV)

C. "I humbly appeal to thee, o goddess Inari…"- (This line will be repeated in the chapter. This signals a new character)- FINAL LINE

(Luna's POV)

The tornado sirens are still going on and I brought Talavera and Asuna to the underground area for safety. 4 minutes later, I checked my weather app, and it said that there is a tornado on the ground i our area, Fresno, CA. Kuja kidnapped us away from Francis to try to kill me. I can also tell that this tornado is not by a super-cell thunderstorm like all tornados. This was created by Kuja in an effort to kill me directly. My next option is to teleport back to L.A. A risky move, yes, but I want my friends to be safe as well. So I chanted my teleportation spell. As soon as my spell is over, we were enveloped with a bright blue light and we teleported….]

Current Scene- Santa Barbara, CA ( 2 hours earlier)

Time: 10 PM (Tuesday)

Mission: Rescue Pascal from Kuja's kill list

Pascal's current status: Unconscious and trapped in Santa Barbara

It is now 10 PM in Santa Barbara, 2 hours after Zidane and group B known as the Rescue Pascal Squad went out to rescue Pascal. They know it is late at night, but the rescue is about to be turned into a nightmare…

(Zidane's turn)

10 PM at night in Santa Barbara sounds like fun, but right now, we have a rescue mission to do. Pascal, a friend of Francis's from the Tales of Graces F video game is trapped in the city because of my rival who wants to kill Francis, and any innocent human girl wearing shorts, and a shirt all for fun. I remembered that he almost killed me and my team when we faced him at the (1) Memoria. He did some bad things too there, but what he is trying to do to Francis, and Luna, far worse. Once we see him, we will fight. Im driving on the freeway north to the city. As we approached the city, Vivi nudged my right foot to point something out to me.

"Whats up bud?" I asked him in worry

"There is smoke coming out from a building in the center of the city" He said while sobbing

This is not good. There is a fire in Santa Barbara, and whats worse, Pascal is still there along with her Tales friends. Pascal came back home after the death of her Amarcian friend Jackie. She died in the hands of both Tazz and Kuja a couple of months ago. Now Pascal is Kuja's next target. We arrived in the city 2 minutes later and found a lot of people trying to push their way through a force. Turns out that they were trying to push through an army of robot cops that look like Kuja.

(Kuja will pay for what he is doing) I taught to myself as I opened the door and led the rest of the team outside the bus.

Jennifer Alexander, Jennifer Talavera's Burmecian counter part was right behind me. She was very scared, and she has a right to be. i comforted her hoping to calm her down.

"Thanks Zidane" Alexander told me as I hugged her

"We will make Kuja pay. Thats a promise to you, myself, and especially, our unconscious hero" I told her back

"You mean Angelic Unconscious Hero" She tells me back as she showed me Francis's stats in A.L.O

I looked at Francis's A.L.O stats, and it said he is now Angelic. Very deserving because he is the reason why Luna, his human girlfriend is still alive today. It also mentioned that Luna is now Angelic too. Similar to Francis because she also deserves it.

We started walking through the streets of Santa Barbara trying to figure out what caused the fire. As we looked, I had an idea.

"Alexander, I have an idea to figure out who started the fire" I told our Burmecian friend

"What is it?" She asked with curiosity

"Kuja loves to burn all of the girls clothing to make sure no traces of them are left behind. If I see I piece of clothing about to be burned, Kuja is at fault here" I told her

"Makes sense to me" our Shadow Siren friend Vivian tells me as I head for a roof top.

Going for a roof top with my monkey tail was very easy. It only took me 2 seconds to go on top of the roof of a building near the spot of the flame. What I saw when I got up there made my heart sink. A lot of girls clothing about to be burned. From shirts, shorts, to socks. Kuja is really ready to get rid of all traces of these poor human girls that don't deserve it. I wanted to head down to the rest of the party, but something caught my attention. Looking to my left, I saw black shorts, yellow shoes, green arm bands, and a blue shirt. No questioning who these clothes belong to. Instead of running down, I called the team up to check it out. As soon as the team came up, all of the clothing on the line started moving. We have to save the clothing. Whats worse is that the wind is picking up, and the flame can burn all the clothing off the bat. The only question is, where is Pascal? As we were looking, I head a scream for help, and strong winds coming.

"HELP!" A loud girls voice echoed

We ran to the domain of the voice. It was not just one girl trapped, it was three. Sophie, Pascal, and Freya Cassandra, Francis's 10 year old human sister. The good news was that Pascal was wearing clothing, the bad news is that they were trapped under a destroyed house. As we started to help the girls, heavy rain started falling, and the wind where the clothes were was rotating indicating something was coming. As we looked toward the fire, a siren wailed

Tornado Broadcast System:

"This is a tornado emergency (higher than a tornado warning). There is a tornado on the ground in Santa Barbara county. We urge all residents in Santa Barbara, Los Angeles and Orange county to take shelter now. All players in A.L.O who live in these areas will be logged out immediately. All game servers will be down at this time. This is a tornado emergency"

We heard the warning and we worked as fast as possible to try to rescue our friends. We got Sophie free from the pile of bricks, but Cassandra and Pascal were still inside. We told Sophie to get on the bus and take cover. The rest of the team got the other two members out on time, and we got on the bus and drove away from the city hoping people will survive this thing.

(I pray that Francis, Luna, and the rest of the team is safe) I prayed to myself as I drove the bus southward toward L.A

Present time 12:14 AM in Los Angeles (Wednesday morning)

Status: Tornado Warning in effect

Francis's status: Worried for his human girl friend

Back in Los Angeles, all players in the team based have been automatically been logged out due to the pending tornado that stated in Santa Barbara county couple of hours ago. Francis is worried about his human girlfriend.

(Francis's turn)

The room and building was quiet as everyone took off their NerveGears and took them with us to a storm cellar in our base. We can't go play because of the pending tornado system. I hope my human girlfriend, and human sister is ok. We all ran inside the storm shelter when the wind started picking up signaling that the tornado was coming. As we sat inside, my phone rang and it was Zidane. He tells us to go to the storm shelter and that Luna is on her way using a teleportation spell. That made me feel happy to find out she is safe. As soon as I hang up with Zidane, the power goes out.

"The power is out!" Opal yelled out loud from behind me

Lucky for us I have a light spell to use outside of the game. Chanting the spell took only seconds and the lights were on. The draw back, this was using my energy. The spell is sucking life out of me, but if this is to save my friends, I'm doing it because I put my friends first before myself. The storm is getting closer as the cellar was shaking a little. As Opal looked outside, she saw a shining light in the distance. She told me to check it out for a moment. That light was bright and as soon as it died down, my human girlfriend appeared with Colette, Talavera, and Asuna. Whats new is that my human girlfriend now had angelic wings.

(My human girlfriend is an Angel like Colette) I taught to myself as I walked to her

As I was walking, the tornado appeared 500 yards behind the group. Talavera, Asuana, and Colette ran for the cellar, but Luna was trying hard to run and the tornado is only 300 yards away from doing my worst fear. Knowing that Im risking my life, I ran as fast as possible to save the one I love. The tornado started destroying homes in our area, and is about to try to suck Luna in, but I just made it by the thinnest of margins to push my girl toward the running arms of Talavera, but at the same time, the tornado sucked me in and I knew at that point I saved my girl from this.

"FRANCIS NOOOOOO!" I head Luna yell

The casino phrase "Round and round (2) she goes. Where she stops, nobody knows" comes to mind referring to the roulette wheel. The chances of me being thrown to the waiting arms of Luna and the team, 1 in 30. Me being injured, 29 in 30. Out of all the places the tornado tosses me, it was toward the tree behind the base, which is about 400 yards from the back gate leading to the stadium elevator entrance. The impact sent me straight to the tree and I got struck on both legs, and right arm, and landed very awkwardly on the ground. As soon as I hit the ground, I landed with my left arm smashed hard on the concrete. The ground impact along with the tree one had me injured and bleeding. Not only that, I was closer to falling unconscious faster because my light spell is still on still draining my energy. The rest of the team wanted to help me, but the tornado was still coming, and I prayed that it would stop. As soon as my prayer finished, I fell unconscious due to the amount of pain I was in.

(Luna's turn)

I saw in horror as my pokemon boyfriend was thrown behind us by the twister. As much as I hate to admit it, I do not think Francis would stay conscious after that hit. Even if he fell unconscious behind, he did it to save me from what he endured. Angelic savior for sure. I wanted to use a spell, but I haven't learned the revival spell yet, and casting a spell takes time. Not wasting time, I decided to move as close to the hero as possible and gain as much space as possible to cast Angelic Barrier. As I said the spell words to cast Angelic Barrier, someone also had spell words of a different type. A voice of a girl…
