A/N: My friend and I were wrestling, and I wrapped my arm around her neck and told her I'd cut off her air. Then, I told her she needed to stop smoking and she looked at me like I had lost it. She didn't understand my Outsiders Reference :)

I got my information from .

Ponyboy's POV

I didn't want to tell the gang yet, because it would make the situation of my fate way to real.

I think Soda had read my mind.

"Pony, do you want to tell the gang or should I?" Soda asked me softly. He had been treating me like glass since we got back from the hospital and it was about driving me to insanity. The news may have hit him harder than it hit me. For me it was still sinking in.

"I guess I can." I said shakily. I didn't want to talk to anyone, but they needed to know. I walked out to the living room to face the gang.

"Hey," I started weakly but I couldn't talk because tears were running down my face and I started coughing so Darry finished.

"He has Leukemia. ALL." Darry told the gang. Dallas looked mad, Johnny looked scared and shocked, Steve looked surprised and sympathetic, and Two-Bit looked like he hadn't heard a thing. His mouth was open and he was just staring at me.

"Pone…" Johnny started, tears in his eyes.

Dallas got up and left and Johnny left, giving me a sympathetic look before leaving to follow Dallas, to Bucks probably.

The truth was hitting us all real hard.

Dallas POV

I left the Curtis household, all plans on getting drunk out of my mind. Of course Johnnycakes followed me out of the house to make sure I didn't blow up and do something stupid to get jailed.

We walked all the way to Bucks, both of us deep in thought like Ponyboy always is. He is going to get himself killed because he doesn't pay attention. We didn't talk much at all the whole way.

Tim Sheppard saw me when so walked in. He saw my face and clasped me on the back.

"Sylvia again?" He asked me.

"No." I cursed before blurting out, "The youngest Curtis had Leukemia."

His face looked shocked. "That Ponyboy that Curly hangs with? He said he was a real good kid, that's a real shame. I'll pass it on to Curls." Curly hated it when Tim called him that. He always said it sounded girly. But, it did put a smile on my face.

I grabbed a beer from Buck. That was just the start, I was going to get so drunk that I couldn't remember my name.

Soda's POV

"Hey Soda, let's go out and have some fun. We can just hang at the Dingo." Steve tried but I just shook my head.

"Go on Soda." Pony told me while Darry nodded.

I sighed as Steve dragged me out the door. I was surprisingly excited about going out. I hadn't been out a lot because Ponyboy had been getting the flu a lot and I would stay with him and it would make Steve mad. I'm glad he wasn't too upset with my distance lately.

We got out of the car and immediately we were surrounded by four Socs. The biggest one grab me and threw me to the ground, punching my face. I kicked him in the stomach and got back to my feet, punching him hard. Steve had knocked out a the smallest one but two were taking him on. I jumped on the dark haired one's back. The blonde grabbed both our wallets out of our pockets, took the cash and threw the wallet part back at us and left. I helped Steve up and looked at my wallet.

"Great, now we can't buy dinner now." I said angrily.

Steve went to start the car, but it was out of gas. We had to walk home in the churning dark clouds.

Oh joy.

It was freezing cold and a few minutes after we left the Dingo it started raining. All we had were T-Shirts, and we were soaked to the bone. After a long agonizingly cold walk, we made it to our warm house.

"Shoot!" I yelled loudly after I slammed my finger in the door. Ponyboy was jolted out of his slumber by my yelling.

"What's wrong Soda?" He croaked out, his voice thick with sleep.

"Go back to sleep. I'm fine, just slammed my finger in the door," I told him gently. Steve sneezed loudly.

"Bye guys." He said nasally as he left. I think he was getting sick, he said he hadn't felt good earlier and the walk home in the rain wouldn't help either of us very much.

Ponyboy had fallen back asleep so I picked him up and took him to our bed.

Today was Saturday, our busiest da. I got out of bed and got ready to go to work at the DX Gasoline Station.

"Soda, Steve called in sick today, you got to work with Jim." Darry told me. I groaned, Jim was new and was awful with cars. He never did anything, too lazy. I resisted the urge to roll my eyes about every time I had to work with him.

We both hopped into the truck for a long day of work. Johnny was suppose to babysit Pony today. Even if he wasn't the oldest he was still the most responsible besides Darry in the gang.

Ponyboy's POV

I crawled out from the warm covers and trudged to the living room. I saw Johnny on the couch watching TV.

"Hey Johnny." I said cheerily. He smiled and shook his head at my cheeriness. I hadn't seen him in a while. I was glad too have some company, I went in for chemotherapy tomorrow. If I was honest, I was terrified about my chemo treatment. I didn't want to lose my hair or get sick, but I knew I would die without it. Maybe I would die with it.

A/N: I had to rewrite this a few times because I was going to have Soda get sick and give it to Pony, but I realized he hadn't had chemo yet, so Steve is sick instead! Poor Stevie :( Oh well. R&R and enjoy! ;) I promise next chapter Pony finally gets his 1st chemo treatment.

I just got the Outsiders complete Novel and it's amazing!
