(A/N: Hello! Risachan here.

With this little series, I focus on Maeda, Nao and Fuyumi. I've done Maeda, and next up is Fuyumi. Long story short, Fuyumi in her original version got separated from her parents on the night they were due to fly to England, and so this leads to Fuyumi (who hadn't gotten into Beyblade due to a condition that meant she couldn't feel pain or temperature) ending up in DNA. Yeah... By the time she finds her parents (or rather, her parents find her), she's set on continuing her career as a beyblader. This leads to her getting into all sorts of trouble...

So, compare that to this version. Oh my...

Disclaimer: Risachan36 doesn't own Metal Fight Beyblade or the characters, only her OCs.)

Fuyumi leaned back from her computer, having finally finished her homework. The 16-year-old pushed her chair back from the desk, then stood up, stretching slightly. Now she could call Kayla, if the other girl wasn't busy training for the upcoming tournament.

The blonde sighed at the prospect of sitting on the sidelines once again. While she loved watching her friends, something inside her wanted to join in with their fun. She turned to look out the window, brown eyes taking in the children out on the street playing with their beys. Her younger sister Maya was soon to start getting into the sport, given that she was of that age. The new generation of bladers were starting to make their mark, and it made sense: the old generation, made up of names like Zero Kurogane, Shinobu Hiryuin, Kira Hayama, Kaito and Eito Unabara; to name a few, had mostly retired from Beyblade by now. They were unlucky in that the Nemesis Crisis had interrupted their careers as bladers. And that wasn't even starting on the ones from before the Nemesis Crisis!

On remembering some of the events of the past few years, Fuyumi was kinda glad she wasn't involved. She had seen Kyra Scott essentially on the verge of a meltdown after her friend Jamie's death (due to the design of the raised platforms, so it wasn't Kyra's fault), something that affected the entire team. Kyra lost that spark she had, and soon left the sport after the Championships. Another big name to leave the sport early was Shinobu, due to medical reasons, again after the Championships. While he was at end of his run anyway, being 17, Kyra still had a couple more years in her career. Sometimes, the danger just wasn't worth it...

But even with this, Beyblade was as popular as ever. The Zero G stadiums had been made safe, but that didn't take away the fact it had taken a death to get the WBBA to react and make them safe. So their reputation had taken a knock, as a result.

Fuyumi was snapped out her thoughts by her mobile ringing. She took one glance at the name, and smiled. Of course Kayla would call now...

The cheerful 16-year-old soon brightened Fuyumi's mood by her story-telling of the events in training. Evidently, Kayla had been a slight klutz when launching, throwing everyone else off. This had led to poor Riley getting mixed up as to who was partnering with who, and accidently joined Kayla when he should have paired with Jenny... That team didn't end well! Poor Riley completely clashed with Kayla's fighting style, and couldn't quite pull a combination off with her.

Well, looking at this, the future of Beyblade was bright... But Fuyumi smiled, because her friends always got themselves into some kind of pickle when training. Somehow, it all came together in the tournament, and everything went to plan.

Sure, she wanted to get involved. But watching her friends was often just enough, and she liked being able to step back from the action sometimes. Beyblade did get emotionally charged sometimes...
