Chapter 7

Neji once again found himself looking out at the lake. He didn't want to admit it, but everything seemed too peaceful. There was no younger cousin to look after. There was no energetic blonde to tease. There was no Tenten on his back about everything. There were also no green jumpsuit people spouting about youth. Somehow the genius found it to be a little dull being the only one from his age group entering heaven.

As the bored Hyuuga sighed, an unexpected guest joined him by the lake. Neji eyed his acquaintance up and down. He had dark black hair and the most soothing expression.

"I like your hair," the boy commented.

"Oh thanks. Yours is not bad either," Neji responded accordingly.

"(giggle) You flatter me."

The guest shifted his pink yukata to sit in a more comfortable position.

"I'm Haku."

"Neji."

And thus, the two prodigies finally found a new companion to admire the sunset and kill time.

Tribute to Neji! I felt that he may have been a bit lonely there himself.
