Breha Organa, Queen of Alderaan, knew something was amiss the moment she was pulled from a fitful sleep. She had been having the dream again. Every night for months she witnessed the death of her dearest friend. Over and over she would hear Padmé cry out but she could do little but watch her friend as she suffered. Breha pushed the sheets back, careful not to wake her sleeping husband. She then pulled on her dressing gown and made her way to her daughter's chamber. As reached the door she could feel the disturbance and when she stepped inside her heart wrenching scream brought half the palace guard rushing into the young princess' bedchamber.
Bail held his wife close as the sobs wracked her body. "We must assemble the protectorate. We must find who did this!" Bail pulled Breha from Leia's chambers and hurried along down to the palace's hangar bay. "What if they've found her!" Breha cried as Bail frantically searched the royal starship for its communicator. Once the communicator was located, Bail hurriedly punched in the security clearance and broadcast his desperate message to the two surviving Jedi who might be able to help him discover the identity of the kidnapper.
"Leia has been taken. We do not know where she has gone. I fear Luke may be in danger also. Please meet at the rendezvous point. Help us Master Jedi. You are our last hope!" Bail disconnected the communicator and hurried to prepare the ship for takeoff. "Bail, I am so afraid!" Breha gripped her husband's arm tightly. "Faith, my darling. We must not lose faith. The Force will protect our daughter, the Force will keep her safe," Bail held his wife tightly as the ship launched off into hyperspace.
Far from Alderaan, on a desolate desert planet beyond the outer rim, Beru and Owen Lars found themselves in a similar predicament. Their nephew was gone, vanished without a trace. They summoned Obi-Wan who was already on his way to the secluded moisture farm thanks to the message he had received from Senator Organa.
"Please Master Kenobi! You must find my nephew!" Beru clung tightly to the Jedi's arm. "I will do everything I can Mrs. Lars. I promise you I will find your nephew and I will return him safely to you." Obi-Wan patted the woman's hand comfortingly. "You don't think it was my brother, do you?" Owen took hold of his wife and pulled her away. "It is still too early to tell but we cannot be sure. The Force is mysterious," and with that Obi-Wan was gone. Racing off to join Senator Organa to discuss their next move.
