Chapter 9: They're in love?

It was morning time and Tomoya was walking down the street alone with his hands in his pockets. It was a Sunday so Tomoya did not have to go to school. He was wearing blue jeans with a white T shirt and white sneakers.

As he continued to walk, someone ran into him with a 'Thud'. Tomoya looked to see Kappei in his usual outfit standing in front of him. "Ah, I'm s-s-sorry! I'm in a hurry! I've been gradually looking around." Kappei said.

"Looking…?" Tomoya asked. Kappei kept looking around turning his head left and right. "The handkerchief person." He replied. Tomoya raised an eyebrow, "Handkerchief… you mean the handkerchief from when the coke spilled all over my face?" Tomoya asked.

Kappei nodded, "Yup, a person I met sometime after I came here in the spring. I was in

troduced to them after I was hit by the bike and at this time the handkerchief…" He started as he looked to the ground.

"What is it?" Tomoya asked. Kappei sighed at his question, "I can't find them…" He replied as he sharply drops his shoulders. "I thought I'd finally met them…" He added.

"You never asked their name?" Tomoya asked. Kappei shook his head. "I was so shy like a carrier boy. I left without asking their name." He explained.

"What did they look like?" Tomoya asked trying to figure out the situation. Kappei smiled, "Really, really cute!" He exclaimed. Tomoya sighed "Well, don't say they're cute…" Tomoya stated. Kappei looked towards the round and sighed "Tomoya… are my feelings that of love…? This is the first time my chest felt this tight. Only meeting them once, not knowing their name… just remembering them makes my heart beat fast." He said as he looked to the sky with a smile.

"Huh?" Tomoya asked completely confused. "Ahh… where did that cloud go… where will the winds blow from tomorrow? Where will a person's mind go to, where will they struggle to…? Ah, Tomoya… hey… what are you doing, distancing yourself?" He asked as he noticed Tomoya slowly stepping away from him.

"Well… you seemed to be a bit in your far away land, so I thought…" Tomoya started. Kappei laughed out loud, "You say such interesting things!" He said. Tomoya looked away, "Whichever you say it is. I think whatever it was you said was interesting. "

"Eh? Did I say something?" Kappei asked. Tomoya nodded "Where'd the clouds go, and where'd the person's heart go, kind of like you were saying a poem." Tomoya said.

"A poem, I guess… so… I'm sure the way I am now is… yeah… like a bird flying across a big wide ocean… I can do something like rest and ruffle my feathers, as a wandering bird on a small, desolate island… Eh? You're distancing yourself again?" Kappei asked.

Tomoya nodded, "Yeah… You really are a person off in their own faraway world. But anyway, how did the interview go? Was the moving thing no good?" He asked. "That's my new job now." Kappei said frankly. "The interview went well?" Tomoya asked.

Kappei nodded, "Yup! I'm really enthusiastic about it!" He exclaimed. "I see, so you made it. Congratulations." Tomoya stated. "Truth is that there won't be any crazy development with that person in that job." Kappei explained. "Girls wouldn't be moving stuff around, obviously." Tomoya stated.

"I might know the phone number of the office… Anyways, I went to a lot of places in a car, expanding my view of the town. It might increase my chance of meeting that person. I'm sure when they the sparkles from my sweat, their chest will tighten, wouldn't they? Somehow, off the record, don't you think guys look really cool working like that? If it were me I'd fall in love! Oh! Somehow I feel all fired up! I have to give my best and work like hell!" Kappei exclaimed.

"Yeah, do that." Tomoya replied. Kappei nodded and ran off in excitement. Tomoya sighed once more as he watched Kappei turn the corner. "Love, huh?" He said to himself as he turned and then walked off heading in the direction that led to Youhei's house.

Meanwhile Ryouta had just arrived at Kyou's house. The house was blue and looked to have four rooms inside. He sighed and rung the doorbell, hearing low voices coming from inside. A moment later the door opened to reveal a girl who looked exactly like Kyou and Ryou, just older. She had purple eyes and long purple hair that hung down to her back and was put into a braid and hung over her shoulder.

She was wearing a white shirt, with grey pants and shoes. She smiled and raised an eyebrow as she looked at Ryouta. "Well hello there Ryouta!" She greeted. Ryouta gave her a small smile. "Hey Meyo, is Kyou ready? She told me to be here by one." He said.

Meyo nodded "She's doing her hair she told me to tell you to wait in the living room if you arrived before she was done." She informed. Ryouta sighed and nodded walking inside and closing the door behind him.

As he walked in she guided him to the couch and offered him a seat, he sat down and sighed. Meyo smiled and sat down.

"Big brother!"

Ryouta turned his head to see Ryou walking down the stairs. She was wearing a yellow shirt with pink outlines and blue pants with yellow and white shoes. She had a small smile on her face as she looked at Ryouta.

"Ryou, how are you doing?" He greeted. Ryou continued to smile, "Fine, I guess." She replied. Ryouta smiled before looking at her outfit. It was different from her usual school outfit. She looked beautiful. "Going somewhere?" He asked. Ryou's cheeks turned a shade of red from being nervous as she faced him "Well… you see…" She started.

"She's coming with us!"

Ryouta's head snapped back to the stairs as he noticed Kyou walking down. "You did say I can have whatever I want, no matter how expensive it is… So I decided that I want you to buy whatever Ryou and I ask for." She stated.

This caused Ryouta to sigh. "You really just found a loophole in my sentence. When I said I'd get you anything you want I meant one thing for you. I didn't mean for two people." He stated, which made Meyo laugh. "Well you said it, now you have to deal with it like a man" She said.

"Looks like you got yourself into a sticky situation."

Ryouta turned his head to see a man with short black hair and black eyes walk out of the kitchen. He was wearing a black T shirt with blue jeans and white and black sneakers. "Yeah, a situation you don't ever want to find yourself in Akio" Ryouta said.

Akio laughed and sat on his recliner "Too late, I've been through that countless of times with Meyo." He stated. Meyo looked at her husband and sighed. "Don't make it seem like I made you buy something extremely expensive!"

Akio glanced at his wife and smiled "Dear, you made me buy you a necklace that was over 50000 yen." He informed. Meyo eyes went wide as she was speechless "Looks like someone forgot what she was going to say." He added.

Ryou was about to say something until Kyou spoke up. "Well, let's go you two, the stores are waiting for us. " She announced. Ryouta sighed one last time. "For my sake, I hope they're all closed." He replied. Kyou smiled and grabbed his hand pulling him off the couch and walking out the door with both him and Ryou. "You three have a good day!" Akio called out. "Make sure my daughters get back safe Ryouta!" Meyo added. Ryouta turned his head to look at her and nodded, letting her know they'd be alright.

Fifteen minutes later Ryouta, Kyou and Ryou were walking around the city looking at all the stores around. Kyou noticed a restaurant and smiled, "Let's go there first!" Kyou exclaimed which made Ryouta sigh. 'Why do I get the feeling that I'm going to be buying a lot more than just one thing...? Well it's not like I don't have money to spare… and if it's for these two I guess I'm fine with it.' He thought to himself.

Ryouta was right. He did have money to spare, thanks to his mom and dad. His mom was a successful bank accountant, and his father was owner of a successful car company. It was obvious to know that Ryouta's family was loaded and with that Ryouta gets an incredible allowance every week.

Ryouta smiled and gave in "Alright let's go." He replied which put on smile on the twins faces. "um, thanks big brother." Ryou said. Ryouta nodded at her and gave her a warm smile "Don't mention it." He replied.

"So that was mushroom spaghetti, Carbonara, and cuttlefish ink spaghetti, and also a Caesar salad, that comes up to about 3,750 yen."

Once Ryouta paid the waitress the three of them walked out of the restaurant. "Whew, I'm so full!" Kyou exclaimed as she rubbed her stomach. "Yes, that was delicious." Ryou added. Ryouta shook his head and looked at them. "You're both fat, that was over 1,000 yen…" Ryouta stated.

"What are you talking about? Lunches on dates are like this." Kyou said. Ryouta raised an eyebrow, "Really?" He asked. Kyou nodded and turned to her sister. "Eating fast food would be quite rude. Right, Ryou?" She asked.

"Eh… ah… I don't really mind where we go…" She said with a smile. "Don't spoil him like that. If you get treated to cheap food, he'll think of you as a cheap girl." Kyou stated in a stern voice. "No, I won't." Ryouta replied as he and the girls continued to walk.

"Umm… Ryouta… how much is my share…?" Ryou asked as she pulled out her purse. "It's all right, everything's on me today." Ryouta replied. "B-but… I feel bad…" She added. "Don't worry about it, I'm on a date with my girlfriend and my little sis, everything's fine." He informed her with a smile.

"See? He understands he has to take care of food as my boyfriend and your big brother." Kyou said with a smile on her face. The three of them continued to walk through the city window shopping and having a decent conversation.

They walked into a clothes shop and headed for the women's isle. She looked at a red and white shirt that had 'Beautiful & Tough' written on the front. She picked it up and held it as she grabbed a white and green shirt with a blue heart in the middle, and a pair of blue pants. She looked at Ryouta who sighed and nodded, letting her know that he would buy it.

"That will be 8,560 yen please." The cashier said as she waited for Ryouta to pay. Ryouta gave her the money in total and looked at Kyou. He noticed that Ryou wasn't around. "Kyou, Where did Ryou go?" He asked. "She said she wanted to go to the bookstore next door." She responded.

As the cashier was putting Kyou clothes in a bag Ryouta shifted his gaze to the store window where he could see Ryou standing outside with two boys who looked like they were delinquents. Ryouta was having none of that he quickly headed towards the door while Kyou was looking in the cashiers direction. She grabbed her stuff and noticed that Ryouta was heading for the door, when she seen why she quickly ran after him.

"Hey there beautiful, you should come with us, we'll show you a real good time."

"We'll take you out to eat if you like; we know how to treat our ladies."

Ryou took a step back showing that she was nervous 'Ah… um… no thank you…" She said. This didn't sit well with the boys they were eager to get her to say yes. "Oh come on, it'll be fun." One of the boys said.

The other boy was about to say something until Ryouta appeared from behind Ryou and stepped in front of her. "Back off!" He ordered. "Hey back off pal, we saw the girl first. You'll just have to get in line, but I'll warn you, you'll be waiting for a long time. With the way she acts it's going to take some time before we actually get her to play nice, if you know what I mean." One guy said.

Ryouta growled and grabbed his shirt. "That happens to be my little sister you're talking about jackass!" Ryouta exclaimed. By this time Kyou had come out of the store and noticed that Ryouta was holding the boys collar. "Let me ask you a question. Are you two going to leave before I count to three or am I gonna have to get mad!?" He asked. The boys ran off without even replying to his statement knowing that Ryouta wasn't someone they wanted to mess with.

"Ryou, are you okay?" Kyou asked as she hugged her sister. Ryou nodded, "I'm okay… Ryouta came and helped me out." She informed. Ryouta looked forward then back at Ryou. "Don't let boys like that near you. I don't want you hanging around creeps." He stated. Ryou nodded and smiled at Ryouta. "Oh… Oh okay!" She replied.

Ryouta smiled and then looked at the book that was in her hand. He noticed that had gotten it from the stand behind her. "Is that a book you like?" He asked. Ryou nodded and looked down at it. "I was going to buy it but it's a little expensive so I thought I would get it next time." She explained.

Ryouta looked at her for a moment before grabbing the book and walking inside the store. Kyou saw this and smiled knowing what he was up to. Ryouta came back out a minute later with the book inside a brown bag and handed it to Ryou. "Ry-Ryouta… you didn't have to do that." She said. Ryouta smiled and patted her head. "It wasn't a problem, as long as you two are happy that's all I care about." He replied.

Earlier that day Keiji was greeted by a light as he slept. By reflex, he lifted the upper part of his body rubbing his eyes.

"Good Morning, Keiji."

Keiji sighed as he heard Tomoyo's voice. "Yeah…" is all he said. "I think you should also say 'good morning' when someone tells you 'good morning'." She said. "Yeah…" he replied again. She raised an eyebrow and looked at him "What, are you still half asleep? You have quite an amusing face there." She informed.

He could hear Tomoyo's voice right beside his ear. Her breath was blowing on his cheek and felt ticklish. She gave him a warm smile. "You usually have a dignified expression on your face, but right now you look pretty clueless. I like the other face more, but, this one's not too bad. I like both of them." She stated.

Keiji didn't say a word he just let her continue talking. "Are you listening?" She asked. And once again Keiji replied with a, "Yeah..."

"Hey, if you do this, it looks more interesting." She said as she pinched his cheek trying to make him smile. Keiji finally woke up and opened his eyes and right beside him was Tomoyo's face, grinning at him.

"Now I have a reason to pinch yours... We're even." He stated as he reached out his hand. "You may have enough reason, but I have the right to avoid it." She said slipping through his arms with little effort, while her face approached his. After that she pulled sharply on both his cheeks with her hands. 'There is no way I'm going to just let mine be stretched' He thought to himself as he reached for hers again but failed once again.

Five minutes later….

Keiji started panting heavy as he looked at Tomoyo who was completely calm. "Sorry, Keiji. Your cheeks are all red from me pulling too much… But it's your fault for trying to get even, no matter how many times you try." She informed him.

Keiji sighed 'In the end, I am at her mercy. I couldn't even get her back. No matter how many times I try, there isn't a single chance of me touching her…' He thought to himself. "I guess there's no way I'll ever be able to joke around you…" Keiji stated. 'It's like in a manga, where there's a scene of two people pulling on each other's cheeks, but this couldn't be done with Tomoyo' He thought to himself.

"What's that supposed to mean?" She asked. "It means, go a little easy on the hands." He replied. Tomoyo looked at him with a curious look, "Go easy? Of course, I did plan to go easy on you, after all." He replied.

'If she went easy, she'd have stopped and let my face return to normal, wouldn't she?' He thought to himself. "But, right now this is fun. I feel like we're kids or something." She gave him a warm smile as she said that.

"That's great. I'm also happy…" he replied. "Yup. Having said that, go and get and get ready. I think we spent too much time." She responded.

Keiji sighed, "Yeah… Yeah… Where are we going anyway?" He asked. "Anywhere." She responded with a huge smile. Keiji quickly walked to the bathroom and got changed, trying to move as quickly as possible.

Later that day Kyou and Ryouta were walking home together as Ryou went on ahead so she could read her book and give them time alone.

"So by the way, where are we going tomorrow? You said you wanted to do something with me right?" He asked as he looked at her. Kyou looked at him and smiled "Oh, sorry, I have to cancel that." She informed him.

"Huh?" He asked. "My mom said she wants me and Ryou to go shopping with her tomorrow and we haven't done that in ages. You'll have to take a rain check." She said with a warm smile. Ryouta returned her smile, "Well, I guess there's nothing I can do." He replied.

Kyou nodded as the two continued walking. "That's right, just be a man and take it." She said before laughing. She then felt the heat hit her soft skin. "It sure has been hot lately." She stated. Ryouta put his hands in his pockets and nodded, "No kidding." He replied.

"Hey… are you sure you're happy… with me?" She asked as she stopped walking as they were now in front of her house. He also stopped walking and turned to look at her, "Huh?" He asked. "I mean there are a lot of other girls who are nicer than me… and I know I can be a pain." She said with a small smile.

Ryouta narrowed his eyes at her. "Don't say that, I'll get mad." He warned her with a light tone. "Go ahead, get as mad as you like. Actually I'd feel a bit better if you did." She said with a small giggle. Ryouta sighed, "I don't even know what you're saying anymore."

"Alright, then I'll make it plain and simple for you." She said before leaning towards his face and pressing her lips against his. A moment later she would take a step back and smile. "Hey, give me a break." He said, feeling a little embarrassed for being kissed out in public. She laughed and then latched herself onto his arm wrapping her arm around his and holding him tight. "Ryouta… I love you." She said with a gentle voice. Ryouta smiled and looked to the sky. "I love you too… Kyou." he responded.

Minutes later after they said their goodbyes Ryouta headed off towards Tomoya's place. As he was Five minutes into his journey he spotted Tomoya and Youhei walking and talking. He walked over to them and smiled. "Looks like I didn't even need to look for you at your house, Okazaki." Ryouta called out. Tomoya and Youhei turned around to see Ryouta standing behind them. "Hey there." Tomoya greeted.

"Okazaki, I need to know her name!" Youhei exclaimed. "Her?" Ryouta asked as he looked at Tomoya. Tomoya nodded and leaned toward his ear. "He's talking about Hiiragi." He whispered. Ryouta looked at him with a confused look. "Are you telling me that he's… This should be interesting." Ryouta replied.

"Her name is Hiiragi." Ryouta answered. "Hiiragi huh… what a cute name. " He said. "Well liking that type is definitely like a man." Tomoya said as he scratched his head.

"You never that of me as one?" Youhei asked. "I've never complimented you in such a way…" Tomoya responded. "Even if it's a lie, if you're just a bit worried say something!" Youhei exclaimed before taking a deep breath.

"Hey guys… it's about Hiiragi, I guess it's like a man to decide to get close." He informed them. Ryouta and Tomoya rose an eyebrow, "Meaning?" Ryouta asked. "Confessing." Youhei said frankly. Ryouta and Tomoya shook their heads 'He… still hasn't given up' they thought in unison.

"Having said that, help me out a bit guys." Youhei said. Ryouta laughed. "I really don't care, but… what are you gonna do?" He asked. "Call her over to my room. I think. But you know, probably with the way I am now, I don't think she's going to come." Youhei said. Ryouta and Tomoya both nodded at his statement. "Having said that, you call her." He said as he looked at Ryouta.

Ryouta raised an eyebrow at his words "Why me?" he asked. "I helped you out with Fujibayashi along with everyone else, so help me out. I'm really serious." Youhei stated with a serious face. Tomoya and Ryouta looked at each other for a moment. It was as if they were reading each others mind 'Calling Kappei to his room…well…' They thought in unison.

(Tomoya and Ryouta's thought)

"Welcome!" Youhei exclaimed as he opened his bedroom door to see Kappei in front of him. Kappei stood in near the doorway looking at Youhei, "What business do you have, calling me here?" He asked. "Well, well, for now just come in please." Youhei said. Kappei walked inside passed Youhei then looked around the room. "What a dirty room." He stated.

Youhei laughed "Well it's a guy's room after all." He responded cheerfully. Youhei closed the door and then slowly locked it "Eh? Why are you locking the door?" Kappei asked. "Because it's lunch right now." Youhei said as he slowly took a step forward.

Kappei looked around "Lunch? Nothing's prepared, though." He said. Youhei laughed as then launched himself at Kappei, "I'm going to eat you!" He exclaimed. Kappei tried to run but Youhei landed on top of him before he could escape. "Tomoya! Ryouta!" Kappei called out in fear.

"If you're calling them, they're keeping watch!" He stated as he pinned Kappei down. Kappei wailed and tried to break free but it was no use "Tomoya! Ryouta!"

(End of thought)

"Asshole, why do we have to keep watch?!" They asked in unison having the same vision. "Eh? W-what are you two talking about?!" He asked. "I don't want anything to do with this, damn it!" Tomoya exclaimed. "Kyou wouldn't look at me the same if she knew I was involved in this. I want no parts of this situation whatsoever." Ryouta added. "I have no idea what the hell you two are talking about!" Youhei replied with a bit of anger.

"Anyways, you're the worst!" Tomoya stated. "You're sick man." Ryouta added. "I really don't know what you're talking about!" Youhei said with frustration.

"Ah, Tomoya, Ryouta."

The three boys turned to see Kappei standing behind them with a smile. "Yo!" Ryouta greeted. Kappei then glanced at Youhei with a disapproving look. "Your servant's here too…" He said.

Youhei sniffled, "Okazaki, Kazuki… I really don't seem all that important to her, do I?" He asked.

"You don't think being a character that stands out feels good, do you?" Ryouta asked. Kappei did not look happy to see Youhei at all, his looks said it all. "Come on, see. She's giving you such a burning look there." Tomoya said which made Ryouta smirk.

"It really seems suspicious, though…" Youhei said with tears in his eyes. Ryouta smiled trying to contain his laughter. "Just your imagination, man, just your imagination." Ryouta stated. Tomoya looked at Kappei who noticed his glance "What is it?" he asked. "See, this guy has something to tell you." Tomoya informed him.

"Eh? Me?" Kappei asked as he pointed to himself. "H-hey, Okazaki?!" Youhei looked at Tomoya who smiled. "Didn't you decide you'd get close like a man?" Tomoya asked. "I-I haven't prepared myself yet!" Youhei exclaimed.

Tomoya sighed. "Can't be helped… then I'll tell you my ultimate secret." He said. Youhei looked surprised, "Seriously? Really?" he asked. Tomoya nodded and whispered in Youhei's ear. "Wow, that's just like a man, okay I'll do it." He said. Youhei flipped his hair, tilted himself at 45 degree angle, and pointed his finger out like a gun…"I'm gonna shoot your heart out, baby!" He exclaimed as he winked while saying "Bang" and his finger flicking back.

"Are you an idiot?" Kappei asked with a disapproving look. This made Ryouta burst into laughter. "He actually did it!" Ryotua laughed out.

"Okazaki! Damn it, why'd you make me do that?!" Youhei yelled. Kappei sighed and looked at Youhei. "Besides that… you seem to have a really big misunderstanding here…" Kappei stated.

"Eh? What?" Youhei asked as he looked at Kappei. With one last sigh, Kappei spoke. "I'm a guy." he said frankly.

Youhei stayed silent for a moment trying to process what he just heard. "…What?" He asked. "A guy." Kappei replied. With a nervous smile he turned his neck towards Ryouta and Tomoya like a broken tin foil doll. He looked at them as if he was clinging onto something. Remaining silent the boys gave him a peaceful smile while nodding.

"T… that's a lie! B-b-b but, you're Hiiragi…" He yelled. "I'm Kappei Hiiragi" Kappei informed him. "NO! No way you could have a guy's name!" Youhei yelled in complete anger.

"Complete defeat." Tomoya said as he looked at Ryouta who was still laughing. Tears started to come out of Youhei's eyes. "S-so the one I was thinking of yesterday wasn't a girl, but a guy instead! I'm such a stupid kid!" Youhei exclaimed as he ran away.

Ryouta and Tomoya chuckled as he ran away while Kappei looked at them. "Tomoya, Ryouta, there's something I'd like to tell you both." He said. Tomoya and Ryouta looked at each other "Something you want to… tell us?" They asked in unison.

"Yeah… long ago, there was an old man and women. They were really famous. Umm, one day, the old man picked up a mischievous tanuki." He started to explain.

"This a fairy tale?" Ryouta asked. "Kachi-kachi yama?" Tomoya asked. "Yup. The old man hung the tanuki on a rope into a pot, and he went out for a bit to get some ingredients. Only the tanuki and the old lady were at the house. The tanuki pleaded to her saying, "I won't do anything wrong anymore, so please let me out." Seeing how pitiful the tanuki was, the old lady loosened the rope. The free Tanuki picked up a nearby wooden stick and hit the old lady with all its might." He said.

"All it's might?" Ryouta asked "Pow! Crack! Breaking her skull, blood spilled onto the floor! The old lady died there, not making a sound. Even then, the tanuki still kept on hitting her! Smack! Kapow! Thwack!" Kappei started to get excited moving his hands around while explaining. "Kappei… calm down." Tomoya said.

"Soon the wooden stick became reddened, and the tanuki smiled, satisfied, and then the tanuki takes the old lady into the heath under the pot and…" He started until Ryouta and Tomoya stopped him "Kappei!" They exclaimed in unison.

"H-huh? Did I, do that again?" Kappei asked showing that he was completely out of it. Tomoya nodded. "What you did just now was tell some very violent fairy tale." He informed him. Kappei groaned, "Why'd I do that, even though it was just a normal fairytale?" He whined.

Ryouta shook his head 'His normal is off' Ryouta thought to himself. Kappei smiled and continued "When I began talking to the kids, they cried! Was it okay for that to happen in the middle of the story of Momotarou? But they were crying, even though the demons had to be exterminated.

"Momotarou took the sword from his hip, and with his three friends they fought the demons. Swoosh, cut, slash! The dog gets on top of the demon's knee, and rips its teeth off with its tail. The monkey claws many, many times at the demon's chest, blood spurting out onto it, as it laughed while dyed in red… The dove thrusts its beak into the demon's eyes, spreading its wings at the joy of smashing his eyeballs, and finally, Momotarou its muscles apart, blood and fat entangling with the bone as it separates. He and the three smiles dyed in red, as they see another demon and then, screaming 'Next', they kick the ground…"

Kappei rambled on until Ryouta smacked him in the back of the head, "Calm down!" He exclaimed. Kappei rubbed his head and looked at Ryouta, "Was there a problem?" Kappei asked. "I don't think so but you're the number one problem." Tomoya said.

"Ahh… I wonder… wasn't it okay to have such an exciting fairytale?" Kappei asked. "What you're saying isn't so exciting. Or rather, if you told brats something like that, you'd be fired." Tomoya explained.

"That's the first time I've been fired in an hour." He informed. "If I heard something like that, I'd be hurt…" Ryouta said shaking his head.

"I really don't like kids." Kappei said. Ryouta sighed 'The kids probably don't like you either.' He thought to himself. Kappei looked to the ground with a sad look, "But… what should I do? Soon my wallet's gonna be in serious trouble." Kappei said.

"Well, a job like that shouldn't really bother you, should it?" Tomoya asked. Kappei sighed "Guess tonight will also be the station bench…" He said to himself. "…Bench?" Ryouta asked, over hearing Kappei's words.

Kappei smiled "Later, I have to go find some place." He said as he started to walk away. Tomoya and Ryouta looked at each other for a moment. They seemed to be reading one another's mind again as they nodded at each other.

"Kappei!" Tomoya called out. Kappei turned around to look at him, "Where exactly are you staying right now…?" He asked. "Umm… when I have money I stay at an inn." Kappei replied. Ryouta raised an eyebrow. "And when you don't?" He asked.

"A lot of places." Kappei quickly replied. "As in?" Ryouta asked in the same speed as Kappei. "Places…" Kappei answered not really wanting to tell. "A station bench?" Tomoya asked. Kappei sharply turned his face towards his words.

"Are you serious?" Ryouta asked. "It can't be helped, can it?" Kappei asked. Tomoya stepped forward, "Mind if we introduce you to an inn. Since its spring, it gets cold during the night. No matter how many times you do it, it's bad for your health if you camp out." Tomoya informed.

"But, I don't have any money, you know?" Kappei said. Ryouta smiled "Don't worry, we'll take you to a place that doesn't worry about money." He stated. "Really?" Kappei asked. Tomoya and Ryouta nodded "Yeah." They said in unison as the three of them began walking.

"Oh no! He's here!"

Ryouta and Tomoya sighed as they and Kappei stood in front of Youhei inside his room. "Come on Sunohara let him stay. We're kind of worried about where he's sleeping." Ryouta stated. Kappei looked at Youhei with a sad expression. "I-if you don't mind." He added.

"Wha-what…why?! You can't let him be at your house?!" Youhei asked. "Shut up and quit complaining. Letting him feel at ease here is umm, what'd you call it… a flag? You'll get that, won't you?""Tomoya asked.

"I don't want that with a male guy, you know! First of all, I already lost it with this guy…" Youhei started until Kappei spoke up. "Uh… umm… I guess this is a bad idea… it's okay I'll go to the station." Kappei said with a smile.

"Station? What are you exactly going to do at the station?" Youhei asked. "Sleep on the bench in the waiting room." Kappei explained. "Bench?" Youhei asked in shock. "Sunohara… are you just gonna abandon Kappei?" Tomoya asked.

Youhei started to calm down a little after hearing the question "S-saying it as abandoning… ummm…" He started until Ryouta spoke up.

"Sunohara stop thinking about what happened before. Think of it as two things for you, helping a person in need and looking yourself in the mirror as a great man." Ryouta said.

"Eh? Well, I guess. A guy abandoning a person in need is the worst. Hiiragi, if you want, you can stay here, okay?" Youhei stated. Kappei looked at him. "Really… are you sure?" He asked. Youhei nodded. "Yeah… It's completely okay, no problem." Youhei said with a slight chuckle.

"It's easy to manipulate this guy' Ryouta thought to himself. Tomoya and Ryouta turned around and were heading for the door. "Well, I'll be going then." Tomoya said. Ryouta nodded "Same here." He added.

"Eh? You're leaving?" Kappei asked in a nervous tone. "Yeah, it's not like I should really be here, right?" Tomoya asked. Ryouta looked at Kappei. "I have to head home for dinner and call my girl, so I have to go." Ryouta stated.

"But… being with him is a bit… I sense danger…" Kappei said as he glanced at Youhei. "I'm not gonna do anything to a guy, alright?!" Youhei asked as he gritted his teeth. "Don't worry. He's a loser after all, so even if you were a girl, he won't do anything right now as it is." Tomoya informed him.

"Really? Then I'm relieved." Kappei said cheerfully. "You two are saying something quite rude." Youhei snarled. "Not at all. We speak of you as a sincere person, anyway." Ryouta said. Youhei looked at him "Really?" He asked. Kappei nodded with a smile "You seem a lot like a guy. You have my respect." Kappei stated.

"R-really? Ah, if you want, you can use the bed. I'll be fine with the floor." Youhei offered. Kappei looked at Ryouta and smiled as he leaned towards his ear. "He's easy to manipulate, huh?" He whispered. "You're learning." Ryouta replied as he patted Kappei's head. After saying that Tomoya and Ryouta took their leave and headed home.

The next day while eating bread during lunch Ryouta, Tomoya, Kazuyoshi and Youhei were having a small conversation. Youhei sighed while looking at the ground, "Hey Okazaki… It's about Hiiragi. His name is Kappei, right?" He asked.

"Yeah that's right." Tomoya said as he nodded. "If his first name were 'Makoto' or 'Kaoru'. Something like that, maybe there's still hope…?" Youhei stated.

"Hope? What is he talking about?" Kazuyoshi asked Ryouta who shook his head. "Trust me, you don't want to know." He replied. "You see, I don't really have any dreams or hopes anymore…" Youhei said as he sighed and looked into the distance.

"I… might be in trouble… come on; I let him stay in my room yesterday, right? Even though I know he's a guy… I'm thinking… that." He said in a shameful voice.

Ryouta, Tomoya and even Kazuyoshi silently kept their distance from him. "T-that's not it! I'm sure I'm not doing anything wrong. How should I put it, yesterday he came out of the bath… and… looked really hot… I- I didn't go with him, you know? Nor did I do any peeping, see?" He explained nervously.

"Uh huh." Tomoya reluctantly replied as he drank his coffee without a care in the world. Ryouta and Kazuyoshi both gave him the same treatment. "It's just, the way his face is red, the way he dried his hair… what should I call it… He seems charming… umm… even this morning too… see, only I woke up early this morning… I thought he was still sleeping, so I peeped in at him… and he was hugging the pillow with a cute sleeping face like that of an angel…Oh no! I'm already heart to heart!" He exclaimed as he dropped his knees to the floor while holding his head with his hands and shakes it around.

He was completely broken by such pleasant feelings. "Hey guys, am I sick? Or rather, is he really a guy? Maybe that name was supposed to be a girl's?" He asked. "Sunohara." Tomoya called out as he put down his coffee and patted his shoulder with his hand smiling. "There are various forms of love, I'll help you out." Tomoya said. "We won't judge you in the least." Ryouta added. Kazuyoshi nodded "We'll accept you no matter what you choose to do." He also added.

"Y-you're wrong! It's nothing like that!" Youhei yelled. His shrieking echoed in the classroom while the sunlight spilled in, causing everyone to notice him. The boys pretended to be an outsider, drinking what was left of their coffee.

Later that day Ryouta, Tomoya and Nagisa stood outside of the school after the bell rung. "Well then if you're walking Nagisa home, I'm probably going to stop by Kyou's house. She probably left with Ryou already." Ryouta said. Tomoya smiled and nodded, "See you later then." Tomoya stated. "Bye Kazuki." Nagisa waved as she and Tomoya left and were soon out of sight.

"Ryouta, Ryouta!"

Ryouta turned to see Kappei standing behind him. "Yo, school over?" He asked. "Yeah, but what are you doing here?" Ryouta asked. Kappei smiled, "I brought something for you, Ryouta." He said.

Ryouta raised an eyebrow "For me?" He asked. Kappei nodded. "Yeah, I thought I should thank you and Tomoya for yesterday. " He stated. "Tomoya just left… But thank us for what we did? I'm not really following." Ryouta stated.

"You introduced me to that hotel, right?" Kappei asked. "Oh, if it's that, then you should also thank Sunohara." Ryouta said. Kappei smiled, "No problem, I'm sure it'll work out for the four of us. It's really big, see. Ah, can we use miso? Maybe a pot after, too"

Ryouta looked confused "Umm… what are you thanking me with?" Ryouta asked in a curious voice. "I caught something really delicious." Kappei said as he pulls something out of his bag. Ryouta eyes went completely wide when he noticed what it was. "Oh no." He said to himself in fear.

What Kappei had pulled out was a small boar with a pattern on it. "This was the only thing walking on the road. It was a simple catch." Stated Kappei. "B… Botan!" Ryouta exclaimed. Botan was completely limp 'It can't be…' Ryouta thought to himself.

"Yup, a good button pot. Ah, if it's still alive it'll be fresh. Even as sashimi, it's okay." Kappei said with an invigorating smile. Ryouta looked back and forth making sure Kyou was not around. 'If she comes around and sees this…' Ryouta thought to himself.

Kappei knew something was on Ryouta's mind. "What's wrong, Ryouta?" He asked. Ryouta started to panic. "Hurry up and resuscitate it! If you don't, you'll be dead!" Ryouta nervously said. "Eh, why?" Kappei asked. "What do you mean why, that boar is…" Ryouta started until a sound was heard.

"Ah… umm… Kazuki…"

Ryouta's body froze up from hearing the voice calling him from behind. 'Oh man… It's Ryou… right? Or Kyou… or are they both in a set. If that's the case… Kappei will be in serious crap.' Ryouta thought to himself.

Ryouta gulped his saliva down hard, as he slowly turned around to see Ryou standing in front of him. "Ah…" She said in a low tone. Ryouta breathed out a heavy sigh of relief.

"Ryouta, we're looking for Botan. You know where he might be?"

A voice from just the edge of Ryouta's field of vision stiffens his body "Kyo… Kyou…?" He said in a terrified tone. There was only one girl he feared other than his mom and that was his girlfriend Kyou Fujibayashi who was now standing in front of him. "I thought he might still be here around the school gates when sixth period ended." She said with a dubious face as she looked around.

Kappei was being hidden from sight behind Ryouta body, so he hasn't been found out yet. "Umm… you are…" He started as he looked at Ryou who looked back at him "Eh?" she replied. Kappei held Botan while showing himself.

"Ah, Botan!" Kyou said as she saw her pet being held to Kappei's chest. But not responding to that, Kappei slowly makes his way to Ryou. "Uh, umm… d-do you remember me…?" He asked. Ryou kept her eyes on him "Eh? Uh… umm… Ah, could it be… you're from that time…? Ryou asked.

Kappei nodded. "Y-yeah, you helped me out when I was hit." Kappei informed her. "Y-yes. I remember." Ryou replied with a smile. Kyou gives a 'Huh?' while seeing Ryou with Kappei, as if she had realized something.

"… You know him?" Ryouta asked. Kyou started to get nervous wondering if Ryouta was going to catch on. "Ah… no… umm…" She lied. "Big sister ran into him with her bike." Ryou explained. "I-I guess I'm still not used to driving it…" She said as her face stiffened… looking in the distance as far as next week, trying not to make eye contact with Ryouta.

"Kyou!" Ryouta exclaimed in disappointment. Kyou turned to look at him. "It was an accident, okay? Give me a break." She stated. Ryouta sighed and shook his head not knowing what else to say.

"We meet again; I hadn't had a chance to properly thank you." He said as his cheeks slowly turn red. "It's okay… it should have been obvious though… um… that you thanked me…" Ryou replied. Kappei shook his head. "No, it was obvious you helped me out, so I should properly thank you. Ah, umm, the one over there is… umm… your older sister?" He asked.

Kyou gave a nervous smile "Eh? Ah, yeah, we're twins." She stated. "Is that so, Then, I'd like to thank the older sister as well." Kappei said. "No, actually, she should be apologizing to you." Ryouta informed him. Kappei looked at him. "Why?" He asked. "She's the one who hit you." Ryouta replied.

"Eh…? You're the one from then…?" Kappei asked. Ryouta nodded. "Having said that, the time we first met, she was the one who hit you as well." Ryouta added.

Kyou looked nervous, she didn't know what to say "I… umm…. Uh… um… well sorr…" She started until Kappei cut her off.

"Thank you. Thanks to you, we were able to meet again. Let bygones be bygones and be thankful for now. I'd like to thank you for that. " He said with a warm smile on his face.

"Ah, uh, okay." Kyou replied in utter shock. 'It's amazing how he's overwhelmed her' Ryouta thought to himself. "Umm, although I should be grateful, for now, I should put this in the miso and pot-mmph!" Kappei was stopped by Ryouta's hand.

"What's wrong?" Kyou asked. "Nothing honey! Just a new way of playing around. " Ryouta said with a nervous laugh. Kyou looked at him with such pitiful eyes. "Besides that, Botan's here. He was able to catch him." Ryouta stated.

"You're right he did. Botan, Botan!" She called out. "Eh? Wait, Ryouta, this is tonight din-mmph!" Kappei was stopped by Ryouta once more. "Somehow he ran into a wall, so his eyes are kinda rolling around." Ryouta lied. "Mmph, mmph!" Kappei was trying to talk but it was no use. "Hmm? What? Ah, you want to give him back? Yeah, that's good we should return him to his owner. " Ryouta said as he grabbed Botan's back and flung him towards Kyou.

"Hey! Don't throw Botan like he's a thing!" Kyou yelled as she caught him. "We found him safe and sound, so don't worry about such minor things." Ryouta said. Kyou sighed "Geez… but I'm glad. I thought someone would take him and eat him for dinner." She stated.

Ryouta laughed nervously. "No way that could happen. " He said. Kyou laughed along with him "Indeed." She replied. "Could it be that she's the boar's master?" Kappei asked in a low tone so only Ryouta would hear. Ryouta nodded, "Yeah… if you were caught trying to take him for dinner… oh man… I can't even imagine…" Ryouta warned him. "… The older sister's such a scary person." Kappei said as he shivered in fear.

He then turned his attention back to Ryou "Ah, that's right. The younger sister… about that…" He said. Ryou's face started to turn red along with his. You could tell that there was a connection between the two "Y-yes?" Ryou asked.

"Umm… if you don't mind… uhh… W-would you… tell me your name…?" he asked. This caught Ryou by surprise; she didn't know what to say. "Eh? M-my… name…?" She asked. Kappei nodded "Ah… I-I'm Kappei Hiiragi." He announced. Ryou smiled at him "Ryou Fujibayashi." She replied.

Kappei smiled back at her "Ryou… what a cute and beautiful name…" He complimented her which made her blush. "N-not at all… Kappei, your name is… um… like a man's, also quite beautiful." She responded. The two looked into each other's eyes while blushing. "Ryou…" He said in a gentle voice. "Kappei…" She said in the same exact tone.

Ryouta and Kyou watched as the two were having a beautiful moment. Kyou looked dumbfounded; she couldn't believe what she was seeing "… Hey, Ryouta…" She called out. "Hmm?" He asked. She kept her eyes on the two. "What do you… think of this…?" She asked.

Ryouta sighed "Even if you ask me that…" He started which made her sigh and glance at Kappei with a suspicious look. "I guess for now… they seem pretty well matched." She informed him. Ryouta nodded "Yeah I guess so… I'm alright with it… as long as she's happy that should be the only thing that matters right?" He asked. Kyou didn't say a word she just continued to stare at Kappei and Ryou.

As the four of them began to walk Ryou and Kappei walked ahead of Kyou and Ryouta so they can be alone but Ryouta and Kyou could still see them. Kyou started to sigh which made Ryouta a little bit worried, "What an unexpected development. "I guess… so…" She replied not really sure about her answer. Kyou and Ryouta had gotten a feeling that they should keep distant from Ryou and Kappei.

"What are they talking about?" She asked. Ryouta shrugged his shoulders. "I can't even tell." Ryouta quickly replied. "Ah… they smiled." Kyou added.

Ryouta smiled at how worried she was becoming, "Seems like a lively conversation." He responded. Kyou nodded "Seems… so…" She said as she glanced at Ryouta. He smiled at her "Kyou stop worr-" he started until she cut him off.

"Ah!" She exclaimed which made Ryouta glance at Ryou and Kappei. He noticed that they were holding hands. "N-no way…" She said to herself. Ryouta looked back at her. "You're very protective today." Ryouta said. Kyou sighed and gazed at the two yet again.
