He was sitting on an uncomfortable stone throne in a dimly lit throne room. The walls were coarse stone hidden behind brilliantly weaved tapestries that seemed to change scenes whenever he looked away. Across from the throne was a massive gilded mirror. The edges of the mirror filled with smoke and from the haze appeared a man and a woman. Though they were strangers to him, he felt an odd sense of familiarity in their presence. The man stood to his right. He was tall and lanky with a mane of pale blonde hair that stood out in all directions atop his head. The man had a serious gaze made sinister by his hauntingly colored eyes. One sparkling blue and the other a striking green. The man lifted a gloved hand to rest on his shoulder. To his left appeared a woman. She was shorter than the man but just as richly dressed. She had dark hair, almost the same color as his own. In fact, he noticed she looked very similar, almost identical to him. The pair behind him said nothing, their only emotion was a single tear that feel from the woman's eye and landed as a small crystal orb in his lap. As he was reaching out to grab it a sharp jolt pulled him from the dream.
"Dammit Chewie! What the hell is going on?" Han shouted as hurried toward the Falcon's cockpit. The Wookie responded with a harsh roar. "Well what are you doing sitting around! Go fix it you oversized rug!" Han snapped as the Wookie lumbered off to repair the loose valve. As he took control of the Falcon he tried to shake the dream from his mind. However, he could not erase the haunting look in the woman's eyes from his memory. "Get a grip Han," he muttered harshly as he ran a hand through his unkempt hair.
Sarah stood by the gilded mirror rolling the smooth crystal orb between her palms. It filled with a silvery haze as she peered into it. "It is almost time," she sighed as she felt Jareth move behind her. "It's his destiny my darling, it had to be done." He placed his arms around her and drew her back into his embrace. "The owl and the falcon, both birds of prey." She smiled, twisting in her husband's arms to face him. "Like father, like son." Jareth chuckled lightly before planting a chaste kiss on her forehead.
The End.
