I totally forgot to point something out in the last chapter. I know that this story is going to end with ending A, and one reviewer asked if I could post the other alternative endings. And I might if I have the time, because let's be honest, could be kind of cool to read the other endings. But I have so many ideas for stories that I would love to post. 22. Chapter
So, Alec had forgiven Magnus and he had punished him for making out with Camille. This kind of punishment was new to Alec, and he had to admit he liked it. He loved topping and being dominant, even though Magnus still had a saying in everything and he was the one who was riding him so… Okay Magnus was a dominant bottom but still, Alec had spanked his boyfriend. "How long has this been going on?"
Alec sighed, because he didn't want to talk about this. In fact, he didn't want Magnus to know about this person. This was something Alec had to deal with himself, and he hoped if he just ignored the person it would stop. But it didn't, whoever this was, and Alec had a good feeling it was Josh, enjoyed harassing Alec. But Magnus looked concerned and worried, so Alec felt like he had to know.
"A couple of days before you left for Paris," Alec mumbled played with the sheets. "I didn't want to worry you that's why I didn't tell you. It's just a stupid child play and we should just ignore it."
"This has been going on for almost a week?" Magnus said and his eyes widened. "Alec, this is not okay. Whoever this is, needs to stop. Tell him to fuck off."
"It's an unknown number," Alec answered and Magnus let a frustrated growl. "Please, just forget it. I will deal with it. Just trust me, it's no big deal."
"It's Josh isn't it?" Magnus said and crossed his arms. Clearly not letting this go. "That little minx. He does not have a limit does he? Jesus, that guy knows how to step over the line. If I see him, near you or me and my daughter, I swear I can't promise there won't be big deal out of it."
"Don't worry," Alec said and got up and touched Magnus's neck. He leaned in and gave Magnus a kiss and leaned away and smiled when he saw Magnus smile at him.
"Fine," Magnus sighed in defeat. "I just don't like it."
"Either do I," Alec said and sighed. "He's just a dick who's bored with his life."
"Good point," Magnus said and touched Alec's cheek gently. "Now, I'm going to make breakfast and then I have to go to work."
"Work?" Alec was surprised that Magnus actually had to work. He had just come home from Paris and he looked jetlagged. Like he was confused if he had to get up now or go to back to bed.
"Yeah," Magnus mumbled. "I don't have a choice. But that means you're back on the job and can look after Lilac for me."
They walked out of the bedroom and into the kitchen and they were both welcomed by the smell of burned bread, coffee and bacon. Lilac was setting the table as they walked and she smiled at them and gestured for them to sit down. The tablecloth was vintage, with white and red checkers. There was dancing candlelight in the middle of the table. Lilac had used her own plates, with Tangled, the 7 dwarfs and Peter Pan. There was coffee and milk on the table and poured in each glass, Lilac had not bothered pouring herself coffee though. There was burned bread, cheese, some bacon, scramble eggs and fruit. She ran towards Alec and jumped up and grabbed him into a tight embrace. This was the best morning ever, but every morning with Lilac and Magnus was the best.
They sat down and enjoyed the breakfast but not before Magnus telling Lilac to never ever use the oven without an adult presence but the gesture was nice and much appreciated. Lilac had complained with the fact that she was 7 and practically an adult and that her birthday was coming up. Alec learned that Lilac's birthday was on November 11th, which was in 3 months. He learned that Magnus's birthday was on November 9th and they learned that Alec's birthday was on September 9th. All their birthdays was right up against each other and it was a nice feeling.
Lilac had made a good job with the eggs, though the bacon had gotten a little too much and they were almost dusty in their mouths. The bread had gotten a black color but that's not something cheese, banana or Nutella couldn't fix. The fruit was nice though and cute, cut into boats or triangles. Lilac was a lovely girl and she was going to grow up into a wonderful girl. And she was going to make some man or girl very happy.
Magnus got a call from Woolsey and excused himself from the table. Alec could hear the frustration in Magnus's voice and how tired he was. Alec wanted him to stay home and sleep and just get used to the fact that he was back home. But Magnus was a stubborn man and when he said he was going to do something he was going to do just that. So there was no stopping Magnus from going to work today. Magnus got back a few minutes after and apologized that he had to leave for work. He kissed his daughter on the forehead and Alec on the lips and went to grab his things and ran out of the door.
Lilac and Alec finished their brunch, talking about random stuff like, favorite memory and Lilac wanted to know about Alec's family. He told her that his parents were divorced. That his mother lived alone with his little sister and brother. That his father lives with another woman in the Hamptons. He told her about his best friend, Jace, that they went through everything together. He also told her that he once had a crush on Jace and she laughed at that. She liked listening to Alec, and Alec liked talking to Lilac. It was nice. Lilac told him about her best friend, Cynthia, and she wanted Alec to meet her someday so they all could have play date. She told him about her first kiss, with a boy named Phillip. They were 6 years old and were playing in the schoolyard when he suddenly kissed. She had cried and slapped him. The school had called Magnus, and when Magnus had been told what was going on he got angry at the school, saying it was wrong to judge his daughter from protecting herself. She didn't want a kiss by this boy and slapped him and so what? Magnus couldn't see the big deal and the school let the accident go. Because Magnus threatened to sue. It was kind of sad for Lilac though, she said she didn't like the kiss and she couldn't understand why she was being punished for not wanting to be kissed. She's to young to understand anything, but she did the right thing.
After the storytelling they decided to go out to enjoy the weather. It was getting a little chilly and Lilac wanted her hat and scarf and she grabbed Alec's hand to keep them both warm. It was a nice feeling walking hand in hand with Lilac down they street.
"I hope you stay forever," Lilac mumbled and bit her bottom lip as they turned into the park. Alec glanced down at her and felt his heartbeat hard against his chest. He wanted to tell her he planned to stay forever, but forever was never for sure. If he told her he would stay forever he knew she would believe it and Alec couldn't bare to break this little girls heart. He tightened his grip on her hand and she looked up.
"I love your dad and I love you," he said and smiled at her and she smiled back. "I want to stay for as long as I can. For as long as you guys want me."
"I want you forever," Lilac said in excitement and mad a small jump in the air. "And so does my daddy."
"I'm glad to hear that," Alec said and spun her around, making her twirl. She giggled out loud and sighed.
"I always wanted my daddy to find someone he loved. Someone who would make him happy. I know I make him happy, but someone who would make him happy in a different way. You make him happy," she said and removed her hand from his grip and hugged him tightly around the waist. Alec stopped and turned in her grip and looked down at her. She snuggled her head against his stomach and tightened her grip in his jacket. "With you we are a family. The kids at my school always bully me for having only one dad and not a mother. They said we weren't a family, but now-" She pulled away and her green eyes glistened. "- We are a family." Alec gulped and he had to blink to keep away the tears.
"You were a family before too, Lilac," he said and touched her hair. "Family is with the people that loves you. Magnus loves you and you love him." Lilac smiled and jumped back in to give him a hug.
"And now we're a bigger family," she said and smiled widely. "You, me and daddy. I like it like that."
"I like it like that too," he said and took a deep breath. He never in a million years thought he was going to stand with a 7 year old at the age of 19 and talk about family. He had to admit that he was a little skeptic in the beginning with Magnus having a daughter. Magnus was so much more mature and Alec was still a reckless teenager. He was afraid he wouldn't be able to handle Lilac and he had no idea how to raise a child. He wasn't even sure if he was allowed to raise Lilac, because she wasn't his. Alec had thought about stopping the whole affair before it got out of hand, because he was to young to have a child, especially a 7 year old. But Lilac made things so much easier and so perfect. Alec couldn't imaging, himself and Magnus without Lilac, it would be like a blank canvas. Alec was happy and proud of himself, that he made this choice by himself. And for the first time in his life, it wasn't a choice that would ruin anything.
"Daddy Alec?" Alec blinked out of his thoughts and looked down at Lilac. She smiled sweetly and took his hand. "I love you, daddy Alec."
"What?" Alec's voice cracked and his blue eyes widened.
"You don't like it?" She asked and pouted. "I could call you Papa or Papi? Or Dadsi? Or Papa Alec?"
"You-" Alec wasn't sure what he was going to say. Lilac was calling him daddy, something she called Magnus. Something you called your relatives.
"I actually like Papa Alec. Sounds like a mob boss," she giggled and started to swing their arms back and forth. Alec just smiled and shook his head. He wasn't sure if this was a good idea, but it was the sweetest thing someone had ever called him. But maybe he should talk to Magnus about this first.

Magnus frowned and started to stack all the paperwork he had been working on. The photos were send and in order. The signatures had been taken cared of, the stamps, the everything. He took a deep breath and leaned back in his chair and smiled. This was the biggest accomplishment he had done ever since he found out he might get promoted. This was the most he had been able to do. He even had time to eat at work. He wasn't sure if it was because he was over tired, because sometimes when people are too tired they focus more. This was totally true in Magnus's case. He would sometimes wake up early in the morning when he went to high school, and start writing on his English essay. He always got an A.
Or maybe it was because he was happy. Alec had forgiven him and they had amazing make up sex. Or maybe it was because Bethany hadn't bothered him all day because Mr. Scott had been all over her, giving her extra work, making her get coffee and then she had spilled it all over herself. High-light of the day. Or maybe it was because Mr. Scott had praised him and smiled at him given him the thumbs up that Magnus was actually doing a good job. Magnus had a feeling it was a mixture of everything. Today was a good day.
"So, you did a very good job today." Magnus turned around and saw Mr. Scott lean against his booth. Magnus smiled proudly and shrugged like it was no big deal. Mr. Scott smiled and shook his head. "Want to go celebrate?" Magnus raised and eyebrow and shifted in his chair.
"Like only you and me?"
"Of course not," Mr. Scott snorted. "Everyone. Well, those who want to go. We were thinking about The Tomb? I heard they serve this cocktail bowl and with sparkles. Tempted?"
"Very," Magnus said and folded his hands. "But I have to get home to my daughter and boyfriend."
"I didn't know you have a daughter?" Mr. Scott said in surprise. "And a boyfriend."
"My daughter's name is Lilac and she's 7. Turns 8 in about 3 months," Magnus said and got up from his chair and started to pack. "And Alec is the name of my very sexy boyfriend."
"So not jealous," Mr. Scott said and laughed. "Me and my boyfriend Sean just broke up. Well like 6 months ago but what ever." Magnus blinked and stopped packing. Did he say boyfriend? And Sean? Mr. Scott is gay?
"You're gay?" Magnus whispered, making sure no one heard. Or maybe everyone knew but just in case, he stuck with whispering.
"You didn't know that?" Mr. Scott's eyes widened and suddenly he laughed. Magnus frowned and started packing again, what a dick.
"It's not funny," Magnus mumbled and walked pass Mr. Scott. Mr. Scott kept laughing and walked after Magnus trying to keep up.
"Sorry, It's just you're so sparkly gay so I thought your gaydar was perfect," Mr. Scott said and Magnus pressed the button on the elevator. "Are you sure you don't want to come out with us? It could be fun. Get Lilac a babysitter and take your sexy boyfriend with you."
"Can't," Magnus said and stomped his foot on the ground waiting for the elevator door to open. "My boyfriend is my babysitter."
"Fuck, hooking up with your babysitter," Mr. Scott chuckled and leaned against the wall next to Magnus. "Now I have to meet him." Magnus glanced towards him and he was sure he saw Mr. Scott checking him out. His green eyes danced down Magnus's body and up again, and when he caught Magnus stare at him, he coughed and straightened up like nothing had happened.
"Maybe another time, yeah?" He said and smiled before turning around and walked away.
"Yeah," Magnus mumbled and watched him walk away. Well that was the first anyone had ever checked him out other Alec. Magnus turned to the elevator and smiled proudly.

The rest of the day Lilac and Alec walked around the park, looked into Allen Garden and got he biggest hotdog ever. They went shopping for dinner and sweets, and Alec accidently bought Lilac a soft ice. It was nice being with Lilac like this, because Alec got a completely different insight of whom Lilac was. Because this girl loved to talk and it was nice. She also met Jace, the best friend Alec had spend the two miserable days with, when he and Magnus didn't speak. He and Jace had done some brother bonding, by doing laser-tag and throw eggs at random cars after a night out. That was Jace's way of making Alec better. And it did, until he accidently threw an egg at an old defenseless lady. But Jace helped Alec through the time he couldn't get himself to call Magnus, so Alec took whatever he could.
Seeing Lilac and Jace together was like seeing a rabbit and a fox bonding. It was unnatural and freaking Alec out. The meeting only lasted 10 minutes when Alec pushed Jace out of the way and told him he could take Clary to their dorm and do whatever they wanted. And Jace ran.
When they finally reached Lilac and Magnus's home, Lilac put on the Disney tunes and grabbed some nail polish. Alec was now sitting on the sofa with Lilac, and painted her nails. She wanted lime green, pink and sky blue and he had just finished her hands when the door opened. Magnus walked in and closed the door behind him.
"I just had the best day ever," he said and turned to look at Lilac and Alec. Lilac bend down to take her socks off and threw her feet up on Alec's thighs and wriggled them. Alec sighed and opened the pink bottle and started with the big toe. "I think I might getting closer to my promotion." Alec turned and smiled at his boyfriend.
"That's amazing," Alec said and watched as Magnus walked towards them and bend down to give Alec a kiss.
"I was on fire today. I think I fixed like 34 signatures, send out 897 pictures and I even helped myself to a donut," Magnus said and sat down behind Lilac. "And I never eat during work. So that's saying something." Alec grabbed the blue bottle and started on the next toe.
"I ate ice-cream," Lilac responded and looked up at her father. "And the biggest hotdog ever. Papa Alec took a picture. Show it to him." Alec tensed up at Lilac's sentence and he couldn't help but look at Magnus. He just looked at Alec like he was waiting for something.
Oh.
Alec grabbed his phone from the table and gave it to Magnus. Magnus flipped it open and suddenly he smiled. Alec couldn't help but look at him like a hawk, trying to find some kind of wrinkle or line that would show he finally realized what Lilac had called him. But, nothing.
"It's bigger than your arm, sweetheart," Magnus said and giggled and put the phone away. "I'm glad you had a good day my sweet darlings." He got up and walked out to the kitchen. Alec watched him as he walked away and he heard him hum a song and open the fridge.
"Hey!" Lilac exclaimed and Alec jumped in surprise. "You're messing it up." Alec looked down and watched as he had painted Lilac's toe pink.
"Oh, I'm sorry Princess!" Alec said and sighed and got up from the sofa. "I'll be right back." He walked out to the kitchen and saw Magnus chopping vegetables. He couldn't help but notice the big and happy smile on Magnus's lips.
"How do I remove nail polish?" Magnus turned and looked at him. "I accidently used Lilac's entire toe as an art piece."
"Nail polish remover, darling," Magnus said and continued chopping. "It's in the bathroom." Alec nodded slowly and turned on his heels and walked away, but the nervous tick of him playing with his fingers made him turn around and he looked cautiously at Magnus.
"Did you hear?"
"Hear what?" Magnus asked but didn't look up.
"Lilac."
"Did something happen?" Magnus stopped and turned and looked concerned.
"No, no no no," Alec said as fast as he could and walked towards Magnus. "How would you feel if Lilac called someone else dad?"
"How would I feel?" Magnus looked confused and stared at Alec with narrowed eyes and scrunched eyebrows. "It would be better than calling Camille mom. Why do you ask?"
"Just asking," Alec said and laughed nervously. Why was this so fucking weird? It wasn't big a deal. Lilac had just called him Papa, meaning she saw him as a dad, meaning he had daddy responsibilities.
God, I'm getting a panic attack.
"Hey, relax," Magnus said and chuckled. "I don't see the big deal here, Papa Alec." Alec's blue eyes widened as he heard the words come out from Magnus's mouth. So he had heard and he didn't seem affected by it.
"Really? There is no big deal?" Alec asked and played with his fingers some more. "You don't feel like I'm stealing her away or-"
"Don't," Magnus said and chopped the last bit of the potato. "This beats the hell out of being able to eat a donut at work. This is the best moment of my life." Alec blinked and felt himself blush. "I've always wanted Lilac to be able to love someone else other than me. Loving only me can be kind of lonely."
"I wouldn't be lonely loving only you," Alec said and walked behind Magnus and embraced his waist.
Magnus smiled and leaned his head against Alec's shoulder. "I'm just so happy that the person I love the most in the world loves the other person I love the most the world."
"Wha-" Alec did not have a change to get that sentence analyzed until Magnus stuffed Alec's mouth with a carrot.
"Eat a carrot Papa Alec," Magnus said and smiled before moving on with the chopping. Alec took a bite and narrowed his eyes. Magnus was taking this quite nicely. He didn't seem to mind that Lilac had just called Alec Papa. He wasn't freaking out. Why wasn't he freaking out? Alec took another bite and chewed. Alec was the one freaking out.
Fuck!
Fuck.
Alec was a dad now? How the fuck did that just happen? What was he suppose to do now? He didn't know how to be a father. He had hoped the whole parenting thing could be Magnus's thing entirely and now Alec was a part of this? Alec took a deep breath and leaned against the counter. Why was he freaking out? There were way too many questions in this one thought. Alec shook his head and walked out to get the nail polish remover. Nothing was going to change, Lilac just called him Papa and that was that. Alec walked in and saw Lilac waiting for him with excitement. He bend down and started to remove the misplaced nail polish.
"Papa Alec, you're really bad at putting on nail polish."
Deep breath.

"Okay spill," Magnus mumbled and played with Alec's hair. Alec was lying on top of Magnus's chest and circulated his left nipple.
The rest of the day had been kind of tense for Alec and he felt so stupid for being tense over something like, Papa Alec. It was just something Lilac called him because she loved him and he was a part of her family now. And he was honored to be called Papa by the most amazing girl in the world, who also happened to be the daughter of his hot boyfriend. He had felt Magnus glance at him now and then and made a confused face. Alec had just shrugged it off, until now, when he was not able to shrug.
