SO SO SO SO SORRY FOR NOT UPDATING GUYS! DON'T KILL ME!

Chapter 10

"Maurice?" Colette asked surprised. She hadn't seen her husband in what to her seemed like an hour, to him, over 30 years.

"Colette!" Maurice shouted as he rushed towards her bedside. "Oh how I've missed you. I never thought I'd see you again!" Maurice exclaimed as he hugged her.

"Oh my sweet, I'm here now, that's what matters." Colette smiled warmly. Belle was exactly like her mother in attitude and looks, it was what made it painful and relieving to be around her after Colette had passed.

"I know. I know. I would have asked how you came here, but when Emma rang she told me that you had no idea." Maurice smiled as he stroked back a strand of her hair.

"She wasn't lying, but what's important right now, is Belle." Colette smiled.

"I see you've heard." Maurice said grouchily.

"I have and I know you. You didn't agree did you?" Colette said as she studied his face.

"Yes, but that was only at first. I let her marry that beast and look what he did; he went behind her back and broke her heart. I should never have let her." Maurice said as he looked to the ground.

"Nonsense, you do not control her. She is your daughter not your prisoner. But, I understand. If I were there I would have made him face the consequences for hurting her. No one hurts, my Belle." Colette said flustered.

"I did a bad job without you. I let her go with him." Maurice sighed.

"She's our daughter. She's stubborn." Colette attempted to make him feel better.

"Nevertheless, I should have tried harder. Fought for her." Maurice said angrily.

"What's done cannot be undone, but we need to talk about the past. Belle's powers have resurfaced, she assumes that they are from the child, but the child has only added to her existing power and unlocked them. I am unsure of what to do, my sweet." Colette frowned.

"We tell her. No more lies. No more secrets. It's better she knows." Maurice said with a soft smile.

"I agree, she doesn't need anything else to be hidden from her." Colette smiled.

"I'm glad you're back, Colette. Not a day as gone by without me thinking of you, well except for the 28 years of the curse, but nevertheless." Maurice joked.

"Always the one to make light of a situation." Colette smiled.

"Well you worried enough for both of us!" Maurice laughed.

"I suppose you're right." Colette smiled.

"Shall, I call Belle back. I'd rather we do this now than wait. We don't know what the future holds." Maurice explained.

"She won't be able to hear you, she's left the building." Colette asked confused.

"That's why I have one of these." Maurice smiled as he took out his phone and began to dial Belle. Colette only nodded, knowing it was far too late to be asking about the treasures of this realm.

"Belle? It's Papa." Maurice said with a worried expression.

"Papa what is it? Is mother OK? Is something wrong?" Belle said.

"No, your mother and I would like to talk to you. Could you come to the hospital again?" Maurice asked.

"Yes, of course." Belle said the worry clearly consuming her. Just like her mother. Maurice thought to himself.

"I'll see you soon, drive safely." Maurice said.

"I will, see you soon." Belle replied.

Now all they had to do was wait.

"Mother, Father. How are you both?" Belle smiled as she walked in.

"Very well, my dear. Please sit." Colette gestured to the chair next to her bed.

"Mother, you're scaring me. What's wrong?" Belle asked confused.

"Well, we haven't told you something. Something that we didn't know would ever be a problem till today." Colette explained quietly.

"Well, let's just say I'm used to things being hidden from me, just tell me." Belle sighed with a weak smile.

"Your magic. It isn't just from the baby." Maurice said.

"What do you mean, where else would I have magic from?" Belle laughed.

"That's the thing, you were born with powers. Your mother and I, we went to a sorcerer to have them taken away. It was dangerous and we didn't want people to call you a demon and shun you it was common for that to happen. We thought that the safest option for you, would be to live a normal life, without them." Maurice let out.

"Rumple." Belle sighed.

"Yes, but at the time, he didn't know it was you. He couldn't remove the powers but he could suppress them, we were told that unless you had a child with someone else with powers when you were older, you wouldn't get the powers back. So of course, we assumed that would never happen." Colette explained further.

"Wait, I understand all of that, but what do you mean, 'at the time'. When did he find out." Belle questioned uneasily.

"I...um. How about you just rest for now. We can continue the conversation when you're rested." Maurice jamp in.

"No, we might as well." Colette sighed with a small smile.

"Well?" Belle asked again.

"Today." Colette said.

"What do you mean today, he hasn't been in town for months and if he were here I assume he would have attempted to make amends." Belle said confused.

"Belle, you have to understand, I told him not to." Colette said.

"What?" Belle asked with her eyes wide.

"I told him that I wanted to tell you about the magic, and that he should stay away with you. You don't need stress." Colette said.

"Mother, I love you, but you have no right to do that. Yes, you were protecting me, but I'd rather sort it out now rather than closer to my due date. It's better to deal with it now." Belle said as she stood up.

"I'll see you both later. Thank you for your honesty." Belle said as she walked out.

"She took that surprisingly well." Maurice said to his wife.

"She's shocked. Confused. She'll find him and unload all her anger on to him. Causing more stress and now look what I've done." Colette scolded herself.

"Hush now. I can't have both my girls in this state." Maurice said as he hugged her. "It'll all work out and if it doesn't she has you and I."

"Regina?! Emma?! Are you here?" Belle shouted as she walked into Regina's house with tears streaming down her face.

"Belle! What happened?" Emma said as she ran down towards her.

Regina followed her and gasped when she saw Belle. "What happened?"

"Were you planning on telling me or just letting me walk around with whispers behind my back as usual!" Belle shouted angrily. They had never seen her like this before.

"Belle, what are you talking about." Regina asked confused.

"HE'S BACK. APPARANTLY HE'S BEEN TALKING TO MY MOTHER. I DON'T KNOW WHAT ELSE HE'S BEEN DOING AND I'VE BEEN NONE THE WISER!" Belle screamed.

"That's impossible." Regina stated concern washing over her.

"Is it? My mother decided to pour her bloody heart out to me and told me. He's here, Regina." Belle said trembling.

"Belle, he won't hurt you or your baby. We'll make sure of that." Regina comforted.

"Emma?" Belle said through the tears as she turned to face her.

"Belle, I'm sorry I didn't say something earlier, I haven't told anyone. I saw him at the hospital watching you. I told him either leave town or to talk to you before going any further with anything. I didn't want to worry you and it was wrong of me to do so." Emma said as she looked to the ground.

"You know what, why is everyone choosing today to be honest with me. When I want honesty I never get it, when I'm sick of it, it all piles on." Belle sighed as she laid her head back against the sofa.

"Belle, you have to understand, I am so sorry. I should have come to you; I was going to ask Regina what to do first, but then. So much was happening.." Emma explained with a weak smile.

"I forgive you, at least you didn't wait weeks to tell me. Besides, it only happened today. I'm so sorry for taking m anger out on the two of you. That was wrong of me." Belle apologised as she massaged her temple.

"You have nothing to be sorry for." Regina smiled.

"What are we gonna do?" Belle asked shyly.

"Well, how about we all get some sleep, it has been a very long day and I'd rather we were all fresh and recharged to face what has yet to come." Regina smiled.

"I guess, I'll need some more lessons then." Belle smiled.

"Well, you've almost got telekinesis, but yeah, just a few." Regina joked.

"Come on, let's get you upstairs." Emma smiled.

"I'm perfectly capable." Belle said with a smile.

"Well, I'm being perfectly helpful." Emma laughed.

"Fine." Belle sighed with a smile.

They walked upstairs and each got ready for bed; Emma had rang Killian and Mary Margaret to tell them she wouldn't be home. She'd asked Henry to stay over there, because Belle was a little upset and he's graciously agreed. Belle shouldn't be alone right now.

Regina and Emma knocked on Belle's door. "Yeah?" Belle smiled as she sat on the edge of the bed.

"We were wondering if we could stay here?" Regina smiled.

"I don't need a babysitter." Belle groaned.

"You're right, but you do need friends." Emma smiled as she sat down next to Belle.

"I thought you said it was best that we'd all get an early night?" Belle sighed.

"Yes, but we can't have our favourite pregnant bookworm go to bed upset." Regina smiled.

"Come on, tell us." Emma smiled.

"Tell you what?" Belle groaned.

"The plan, for the next few days." Emma explained.

"Why am I making the plan?" Belle asked.

"Well, you deserve to take control, how do you want to deal with this situation. Do you want us to schedule a meeting with him and even if we did, would you be comfortable going in alone or would you want us there." Regina asked with a smile.

"Well, I'd like to set up a meeting and if it goes according to plan, without you two being there, we need our privacy." Belle explained.

"But?" Emma asked.

"But, I. I don't know. I forced him out of town, away from Neal's grave. Away from Henry. His family. Maybe I got in wrong, didn't realise the true findings of the gauntlet. But another part of me knows that was he did was wrong. He went behind my back for weeks, months even. After we got married." Belle paused at the word married and sighed. "I don't know if it was real. I know the start was, but after Zelena he was different. We were different. Yes we got married. But maybe that was his way of ensuring he didn't lose me. He tried to kill Killian too. I don't know, I'm confused, but I know he'll be angry, upset god knows what else." Belle said as she rubbed her belly.

"One thing I know for sure was that his love for you was true. The rest, you'll have to figure out between each other." Regina smiled.

"I guess." Belle sighed. "Since the barrier has gone, do you think Robin would be able to come back now?"

"Well, I think I'm going to leave it for a few days. I don't want them coming back into danger. I can't risk them getting hurt." Regina explained with a sad smile.

"It's very admirable. Not seeing your love even though you can after all this time. But don't worry, he'll be back, Regina." Belle smiled.

"I hope so. Now get some sleep." Regina smiled as she walked out followed by Emma. They said their 'goodnights' and each retired to their rooms.

Tossing and turning all night, she couldn't fall asleep. She thought she was used to it by now, not needing him there, next to her. To hold her, but she couldn't have been more wrong. Pathetic. She thought to herself. Even when she hated him, she still loved him. Her love for him, truly was unconditional, it made the worse. She slid out of the bed and walked to the long window, she watched the night as she had done when he had first left. She sighed. It was just her luck, him being back, her being pregnant.

He'd obviously be angry, wouldn't he? She had thrown him out of town, away from everything he knew and held dear. But, she wasn't entirely to blame; she'd given him plenty of opportunities to come clean. Their late night talks, when she told him about Anna. She stopped thinking; it hurt more to actually count how many times he could have told her the truth. She let out a sigh as she rubbed her belly. At least her mother was back, but she had snapped at her. It seemed as though she was hurting everyone around her, and everyone was hurting her. She was self-pitying. She scolded herself. That was no way to behave, she should be grateful for her friends, her family, the baby. She made her way back to bed and pulled out a book from one of the shelves. She'd read a few chapters and by then she'd feel tired enough to sleep.
