Inuyasha's eyes followed Kagome's naked body as she stretched in one of the poolside chairs, she reached her hand out to the glass roof longingly, "its beautiful...watching a storm from below."

He followed her gaze to the bullet proof, tinted, glass roof. He had woken in the middle of the night to find her gone, a little bit of exploration and sent tracking later he found her here,watching the rain hit the roof as thunder rolled by, "I almost forgot how much you love the rain."

She smiled at him lazily, "the storms awful tonight, like a warning...hey you never did teach me how to swim."

"I will some other time."

She nodded and turned away from him slightly, focusing on the storm, "Inuyasha..."

"hmm?"

"About Kikyo.."

He furrowed his brows at the sudden mention of the women, Kagome hasn't said a word about her since they left the medical wing a few hours earlier. He had honestly expected her to have a lot more to say on the matter, "what about her pet?"

Kagome stared at lighting as it cut through the sky, "does she have to die?"

"ah...so you know about that rule?"

She simply nodded.

He walked over and sat next to her, "Its the rules Kagome, the rules I made."

"But Inuyasha...she's with child. Why punish something so Innocent because she's not?"

He looked down at the women before her, she was alone too once, maybe that was why she suddenly related with Kikyo...or her unborn child at least, "Pet...I cant keep her around for nine months."

"I..I know, but do you have to straight out kill her?"

"I would like to, yes."

Kagome slid her sapphire eyes away from the storm to stare at him, "what if it was me?"

He blinked for a second, not understanding, "what?"

"What if...I got pregnant with an outsiders baby b-"

Inuyasha growled darkly, "I would force you to watch the bastard as I slowly killed him and then have you join him in hell shortly after! I don't like people touching whats mine. And your mine remember that!"

Kagome glared at him, "I meant before I you know fell in love with you...what if I wasn't afraid of men and had a fling, and then we fell in love but it turned out I was pregnant with that mans child, would you kill me?"

He sighed in frustration, "Kagome thats ridiculous."

She stared at him stone faced, "Would you?"

"its different."

"I would be carrying another mans child and an outsider at that."

"I would kill him."

She raised her brows, "but not me?"

He stood up abruptly and ran a hand through his hair, "No...I couldn't kill you Kagome not if you had a baby growing in you even if it was another mans. but this is different!"

"how?!"

"I don't give two shits about Kikyo but I love you, your being ridiculous come back to bed."

She crossed her arms over her chest, "no! not until you agree to do something other than shoot her in the head! I don't want to kill the baby growing in her!"

He sighed and brushed a strand of hair from Kagome's face, "fine. Ill think about sending her to some war zone...if her and her unborn child die there its not my problem."

Kagome stood and wrapped her arms around his waist, "thank you."

"feh."

"...Im so happy it not yours."

He hugged her back, slowly becoming re-aware that she was completely exposed to him, "what would you have done if it was?"

She was quite for a moment, "as much as it shames me to say it, I might have just killed her and the doctor in a jealous rage."

"Jealous?"

"As it turns out I don't like people touching whats mine either."

He chuckled lightly, "come back to bed, it two in the morning."

She bit her lip and looked back out at the storm longingly, "...okay...it is kind of cold..."

"We can open the blinds if you want, my room has quite the view."

"I know..." she took his hand and followed him back to the bedroom sliding under the covers, she stared at his boxer clad form as he opened the blinds, exposing the storm to her once again.

When Inuyasha slipped back into bed, Kagome instantly cuddled up to him as she gazed at the storm outside. He loved that about her, the way she would do things without hesitation whether it was blowing up a building or showing her affection -as rare as that was- if she wanted to she would just do it. He stroked the small of her back where his name was permanently etched into his skin, it was by far his favorite display of affection...Well favorite public display anyways. He lazily drew circles on the small of her back lightly with his claws as she curled up to him and watched the rain in the still lit streets of Tokyo. He stopped momentarily when she let out a soft pleasured mewl, he smirked then started his ministrations again, "you still awake pet?"

Kagome nodded against his chest soaking in the feeling of his sinful fingers toying with her lower back, she looked up at him slightly aroused only to see his molten honey eyes gazing back at her, filled to the sunny brim with confidence, knowledge, passion, and glimmers of what she liked to think and hoped was love. Something in her snapped as it always did when he looked at her like that, with what she had secretly deemed his bedroom eyes. The slight arousal she had been feeling increased ten fold and she found herself leaning up to him and pressing her lips lightly against his. He instantly complied softly kissing her back with the occasional hint of burning lust. She loved that about him, he seemed to live for satisfying her. That was about four days ago though after some heated fight about her going out clubbing, she bit her lip as she recalled the dirty words he growled in her ear and he started to practically tear her clothes off. He was so close to pounding both her and his jealous fury into the wall of his office when his secretary buzzed him for important business...ever since she couldn't help but wonder what it would be like to let him take out his rage on her body sexually. She felt her eyes widened in surprise, she had never been on top before...sure they had a lot of sex, but he always took the lead. Inuyasha mentally smirked as she nervously slid his boxers down, revealing his erection to her. She snorted and tossed him his phone muttering about 'fucking idiots.' He slid out of bed as his angry girlfriend tossed back the sheets and flopped down, he made a mental note that his woman hated being interrupted by anything during their private times to the point where she would probably deny him sex. He growled to himself as he pulled on his boxers and left the room, answering his still ringing phone as the door shut behind him, "this had better be fucking important!"

"sorry for waking you up boss..." Kouga cleared his throat remembering why he was the one calling their boss instead of Miroku who was still in pain from his..interruption last week..The damn coward didn't want to bug Inuyasha in any way until the his bruises had gone away and the silver haired man stopped glaring at him.

Inuyasha growled through the phone and flopped down on the living room couch, glaring at the wall while Kagome was back in his room watching the storm...in his bed, where he should be at that fucking moment...He growled louder, "oh no kouga I was already fucking away! just busy! very fucking busy!"

"what were you doing its barely three in the morning?"

"my girlfriend! so either spit out what the fuck was so important or ask Miroku how badly it hurts when you interrupt me."

"uh...well you told us to call you when we had done a full background check on Kikyo's coming's and going's in the building.."

Inuyasha sighed, okay...so I cant really beat the shit out of him for following my orders.., "okay so?"

"She had been leaving more often since about the time Kagome moved in with you."

"...okay thanks Kouga...Ill give you the rest of your orders tomorrow, oh and ever interrupt me again and I will fucking kill you!"

Kouga quickly apologized and Inuyasha hung up walking back to his room, he placed his phone back on the nightstand. He glanced at Kagome who had drifted off and curled up into a little ball in an effort for extra warmth in her sleep. sighing he stoked her hair before shifting her from his side of the bed...it was weird thinking about his bed belonging to someone else too, before Kagome no one had ever slept in his bed especially not with him. But he had to admit he loved the way her soft body pressed against his and waking up and seeing her first thing in the morning. After one last glance at his sleeping lover he slid into bed and tried to get some sleep before his mass amount of work tomorrow.

A few hours later:

Kagome awoke to sun streaming through the windows...apparently the storm had drifted by as she slept, she smiled at the man sleeping next to her with his arms wrapped protectively around his waist. The sun caught hiss silvery hair making it glimmer like freshly fallen snow...Kagome had always liked winter, the kids at school, her rebels would all have bonfires together to keep warm. she distantly remembered sitting in first the snow with Hojo and the girls watching the fire flicker and stray animals running for cover. She ran her fingers through his silky strands, it was October...about a month and a half until snow should start falling in Tokyo. She wondered if they would miss her this year, maybe she would visit. A slight smile made its way onto her face as she got out of bed and began to dress before writing a note to Inuyasha, she stuck it to his forehead and walked out the door.

Inuyasha woke up twenty minutes later and glared at a piece of yellow paper stuck to his forehead, "What the Hell?" He tore it from his head and stared at the sticky note, "Fuckin Kagome.." After a quick eye roll he inspected the note further:

Good morning Scruffy! I decided to give my rebels a call today so I'll see you later. I didn't make breakfast, I'm too lazy.

Oh and I want a week off after the first snowfall this December.

Oh! and we need more whisky. I wanna try vanilla cinnamon, that seems tasty for the Fall.

and dont't forget our talk about Kikyo.

by the way, Im still mad I didn't get laid last night...Im running out of sticky note.

He chuckled slightly, even in writing Kagome was all over the place. He tossed the note and dressed for the day before heading down to the dining hall for breakfast. A few people looked his was curiously as he walked by, he knew everyone was curious, by now the notice of Kikyo's future punishment had to of reached all of his men. It took a lot to be banished to a war zone, to a lot of people it was worse than death and he usually chose to kill them so they could never betray him. The rebels are in the War Zone and the gang tattoo makes you an instant target. The last man he had banished had apparently been hunted for weeks...By several different rebel groups, including Kagome's before he was murdered. The truth was he had chosen to toss Kikyo into an at least somewhat safe War Zone due to her pregnancy although he wanted her dead. He just didn't tell Kagome because it was fascinating seeing her try to save someone. He grabbed his food and found Shippo, Kouga, Sango, Rin, and Miroku, He punched Kouga the moment he set eyes on him, "That was for interrupting me last night."

Sango and Rin laughed. the Petite brunet rolled her eyes, "Boss you two are worse than rabbits! we are more likely going to interrupt you two going at it! Hell the only one of us that hasn't is Shippo!"

Inuyasha glanced at the young redheaded boy, "Shippo, remind me to give you a raise."

The other four gaped at their boss while Shippo sat there stunned with a piece of waffle halfway to his mouth, "uh..okay? cool! and I uh found the perfect place for Kikyo to go."

Inuyasha nodded and opened his mouth to say something when the door burst open and Kagome waltzed in on her panel, "No way! really?! Hojo thats hilarious!"

The teenage boy's laugh came through the speakers on her panel, "I thought you would like hearing that leader it instantly reminded me of when you took a chainsaw to that one kids locker freshman year because he called you...what did he call you? I cant remember anything but the sparks and your maniacal laughter."

Kagome's laughter chimed in the currently silent room, "He called me his mistress and asked if I wanted to own him...apparently he found my leadership sexy."

"Okay...thats disgusting..it was only three days after you became our leader too."

Kagome snorted, "Yeah well our high school was pretty gross I mean who the hell paints part of the mens bathroom with blood?"

"You do. The day first you got to school, I was the one who caught you. I walked in on you painting one of your anti rape warnings in blood and you just looked at me for a second before doing that creepy grin and saying 'shhh be careful. I eat loud little boy's' before skipping out."

"ahhh good times good times...anyways Hojo...did you catch that guy who-"

"Kagome...we got him its fine, Ill take care of it. you work too much."

Kagome smiled down at her panel as she reached the huge buffet table and grabbed an apple, "you know Hojo, I like this mobile chat thingy...and thanks, update me soon."

"Can do leader."

Hojo must have saluted her because she repeated the action to the panel before turning it off and tucking it under her arm, she looked around the room, "why the fuck is everyone so damn quite?"

She didn't get an answer so she strolled over to Inuyasha, he pulled her down next to him, "morning Pet."

"hey scruffy, get my note?"

"Feh. how could I not?"

She giggled and slid her hand up his leg under the table before biting into the apple, "good."

He tried to keep his mind off the young girls hand currently stroking his thigh, "She's going to a War Zone."

"double good, when?"

"an hour."

"what zone?"

"102."

Tripple good. She nodded, "'kay..where is she?"

He tossed her a side glance, "Isolation."

She nodded again and leaned in to whisper in his ear, "You know since we have an hour...we can go back to bed and continue what we started last night." She drew little circles in his thigh and smirked at him seductively.

He mentally groaned, fuck fuck fuck fuck! He let out a highly frustrated sigh, "Can't."

Kagome shrugged and stood from her seat, "let me know if you change your mind."

He snorted, "If I had the option to I would."

"sucks for you! you know...minus the sucking."

He growled at her as she left the room laughing.

An hour later:

Kagome stared at herself in the mirror, tight black short shorts, a black leather bra top, knee high leather boots, and a shit ton of glitter bangles matching her black hoop earrings. She smiled and put on her knife belt and a thigh sheath before tying on her signature bandana. After one last glance she was out the door and on her way to the garage, she got there the same time Kouga and Miroku did with Kikyo, she spared the older women a glance before walking up to Inuyasha. He looked her over, "whats with the getup?"

She raised a brow, "we are going to a war zone, rebel groups are a lot less likely to attack me if I look like me...you don't like it?"

"you don't look like you. what happened to the cargo pants and long black jacket."

She grinned at him, "thats my battle gear everyone knows that, If I showed up anywhere like that people will assume Im looking for a fight."

He nodded and started ordering the small group of people coming with them where to go. the group mainly consisted of Inuyasha's top six minus shippo but there were a few other Kagome recognized as highly ranked. She sighed and got into Inuyasha's car, wondering how on earth she was going to avoid getting in trouble for what she had planned. Inuyasha slid into the drivers seat a few minutes later and took off, apparently getting rid of one of their members was always a huge rush, no one wanted to be with a traitor for very long much less in a War Zone with one. About halfway through the ride he looked over to her, "You unusually quite."

"you got a problem with that?"

"no, its less annoying."

"I hate you."

"I know."

Kagome smiled a little, she didn't know when but her I hate you's and his I know's have become a thing for them and in a strange way was like their secret little I love you's. She frowned suddenly and looked out the window, "Inuyasha.."

He furrowed her brows at her suddenly serious monotone, "yes?"

"I just want to say Im sorry."

"For?"

"The future."

Inuyasha tightened his hold on the steering wheel, "Kagome, are you planning to betray me?"

She looked at his tightly coiled form from the reflection in the window, "No Inuyasha. not you, never you."

He relaxed slightly, "then The Blood Hounds?"

Kagome hesitated slightly, "Not...if it would betray you in turn. But I would betray them as individuals if necessary..I am not planning to but I would."

He nodded stiffly, sure he had always known the only reason Kagome was even as compliant as she was, was because he had saved her life. She seemed to be loyal enough to The Blood Hounds, loyal enough for him to foolishly hope she was changing her mind. He had thought for a moment that she was becoming one of them but that single statement proved him wrong, Kagome would always be a rebel and he the thing she rebelled against. The thought made him both proud and hurt, He loved the way Kagome would stick to what she believed in and never backed down but it sent a twinge of pain through him knowing that she would more likely than not leave him one day, with a trail of bodies in her wake. He took a deep breath, "okay Kagome."

She looked at him for a second, his ears had drooped slightly. She quietly reached over and placed her hand over his on the steering wheel He brought both of their hands down to the center console, interlacing his fingers through hers. they stayed like that for the rest of the ride, neither of them speaking.

Once they reached the War Zone Kagome practically ran out of the car yelling at everyone to hurry up, Inuyasha was greatly confused along with every other Blood Hound there. Kagome suddenly grinned and waved at the gates in the distance where three figures stood. The group made their way to the gates where twin boys no later than twenty and a women easily in her late sixties stood. The two boy's smiled, the one on the right speaking first, "So where's our pregnant women...nice outfit by the way leader lady."

Kagome laughed lightly, turning around and wiggling her butt at them, "I got a tattoo too, you like."

The twins laughed and nodded. Kikyo who had been glaring at Kagome the entire time looked to Inuyasha, "Your sending me into a War Zone to be executed by her men?"

Inuyasha growled, "Not that I knew of...what the fuck is going on!?"

Kagome scratched the back of her head, "Scruffy, I already apologized for this...you just didn't know what it was. anyways! these two idiots are the twins or as everyone calls them Doom and Gloom." She pointed to each one as she spoke.

Inuyasha looked at the two boys closely, both of them looked and dressed the same the only difference was in the part of their hair. Black hair layered, barley brushing their shoulders, covering their right or left eye. They both had gun metal grey eyes, wore black t-shirts with bloody peace signs on the front, black jeans, and black boots. He looked between Kagome and them, "and how do you know them?"

The one on the right -Doom- Spoke, "Ehhhhh?! we met leader lady when she was fourteen! we're her good buddies!"

Gloom cut in, "and we are in charge of this War Zone!..so where is our pregnant women?"

Inuyasha ignored them in favor of turning to Kagome, "this is your war zone?"

Kagome shrugged and pointed to a nearby street sign where a red dog bone was painted, the words revenge where the streets name once was. "yeah..sorry I didn't tell you.."

"I could have just shot her in the head! or you could have if you hate the damn women so much! this was a huge waste of time."

Gloom looked at him oddly, "kill her? we aren't going to kill her."

The Blood Hounds looked at the smiling twins, Miroku shook his head, "then what are you going to do with her?"

The twins linked arms and saluted, "what leader lady told us to!"

Inuyasha growled at the two earning a scowl from Kagome, "which is?!"

Doom imitated a growl right back, "why do you care Mr boss man? you wanted to shoot her in the head."

Kagome glared at the twins, "Gloom. Doom."

They instantly snapped their heads to her, "Yes leader lady?!"

Kagome rolled her eyes, "Don't growl at Scruffy. Scruffy, I talked to Gloom and Doom this morning in the hopes you would send Kikyo here. this is the safest War Zone there is. and the twins are going to make sure she stays healthy during her pregnancy." She pointed at Kikyo, "Boys."

The twins gave Kagome a tooth grin and flanked Kikyo's sides, each taking hold of one of her wrists, "c'mon pregnant lady, we'll show you your new home!..well temporary home.!"

Kagome smiled at the two fondly before regarding Kikyo, "Mammy here, " she gestured to the old lady, "will be delivering your baby as she does with every Shikon Rebel."

Sango raised her brow, "everyone?"

Kagome grinned wildly, matching the grins Gloom and Doom already sported, "Yep welcome to what we call the Peace Zone. you wanna check it out? it might come in handy for your injured one day."

Before anyone else could respond Kikyo cut in, "I refuse to spend the rest of my life with your rebels!"

Gloom looked at her, "your funny."

Doom nodded, "yeah. you wont be here forever. only until your delivery."

The twins looked at each other above Kikyo's head and grinned, "then we take your baby!"

A shocked gasp echoed through each Blood Hound, Sango spoke first, "what?"

The twins looked at her like she needed serious mental help, "you heard us."

Kagome sighed, "Okay Kikyo..heres the deal, when you deliver we take your baby and send you off then you have a twenty-four hour head start before the orders to kill you on sight along with your description are sent out."

The twins nodded, "but don't worry! your kid will be raised here learn how to fight and everything."

Inuyasha rose a brow, "so your gonna take the baby and raise it as one of your own?"

Doom nodded, "well duh! Leader lady loves kids, all pregnant Shikon Rebels, some pregnant rebels from other groups with permission, and some pregnant street women we save come here along with preeminently injured rebels and orphans we find."

Gloom shrugged, "we have guards of course and the few rebels or regular citizens who just want to live in peace."

Inuyasha thought for a moment before looking at Kagome, "somehow this doesn't surprise me."

She winked at him, "Im a smart girl."

Gloom rolled his eyes, "leader lady do you wanna show the puppies around?"

Kagome looked at Inuyasha who still seemed fascinated by the whole concept of the 'peace zone.' finally he nodded, "yeah..Kagome this could come in handy."

She nodded, "yeah Gloom, Doom lead the way."

The two boys nodded and walked off, Kikyo still between them and mammy right behind, Kagome turned around and walked backwards already knowing her way. She smiled at the gang members there, "Okay! so a little background information for you idiots!" Gloom and Doom snickered causing Kagome to flip them off, "I came here when I was fourteen and met the twins, they are great guys...although supper annoying at first and would constantly stalk me because I was apparently interesting...anyways! as I was passing through here I noticed it was easily one of the most peaceful war zones around, very little crime. So naturally when I created the Shikon Rebels I made sure to get word out to Gloom and Doom, the two are very skilled and great with people. before we knew it we had the zone cleared out and it somehow become a safe haven for traveling rebels of all kinds, the injured, and those who could no longer fight. after a while we just started calling it the peace zone, I placed guards here just in case but no one has ever attacked, theres no reason too no one knows we're here."

Inuyasha looked around and his eyes landed on a park, it looked clean as if nothing had ever happened there. four children were playing there, one on the swings, two playing catch with a large ball, and the youngest one playing in the sand. He looked back to his group to see the other Blood Hounds staring too when something hit his foot, it was the big green ball the two kids were playing with. The child ran out into the street and picked it up before smiling up at Inuyasha, "Sorry mister! the ball got away from my little sis..." The kid got distracted when he noticed Kagome, "AUNTIE KAGOME!"

Kagome looked down at the little kid and smiled, "sup kiddo."

The little boy grinned and held out his ball, "nuthin much, playing with my little sister!"

Kagome patted the young boy on the head, "that good, don't keep her waiting."

He nodded quickly, "Okay! It was nice to see you auntie Kagome!"

"nice to see you too, now run along."

The boy did as he was told and the group began walking again, passing a few people on their way. They stopped at a large hospital, Gloom smiled at it, "Well pregnant lady, this is base, lots of people have their own place near here but this is where we all gather...you don't get to leave here without escorts..well in we go!"

Kagome walked up the steps after they had disappeared into the building, looking over her shoulder grinning as she opened the double doors, "welcome to the Peace Zone."
