So, it's been a while once again. I'm only now finishing up the third chapter and right now I don't want to bring out any chapters unless I've finished the one after. It's confusing. Anyway, I'm actually finishing high school soon which is why my life has been hectic. It'll probably be even more so when I finish high school but at least I won't be forced to go to some germ-filled hell containing disrespectful and indecent members of society. Then again, such is life. Over here, school finishes in November or December, depending on how old you are. Hopefully I can use my holidays to catch up some with this hetero love bullshit. I hope you like this chapter, guys.

After having a bad start to the day, being late and everyone laughing as she tripped over entering the classroom, Mikan sighed as she settled down into her maths work. She wouldn't dare to stop as she felt Jinno's hawk-like gaze burning through her head, just waiting for her to do something wrong. As she robotically wrote down the questions and attempted at the equations, the gears in her mind were set to run for a different subject.

Natsume...

Her pen stopped as she looked helplessly at her book, heart beating faster at the memory of him kissing her. She glanced at said man who had the back window seat. He seemed to be unusually focused lately; finding the other doing his work with a calm look on his face. Maybe he really was changing, she thought to herself. Natsume must have felt her gaze because he looked up from his work and met her eyes. Mikan's eyes widened and she turned back to her work, a blush burning its way onto her face.

"Sakura-san, get back to work!" She flinched at her teacher's firm voice and she whimpered a broken 'yes sir' as everyone around her laughed.

Natsume's lips curved into a smirk before he went back to his work, writing down the thoroughly dissected answers. He honestly disliked maths, but seemed to be good at it; not that he cared all that much for it. He was doing the work mostly to distract himself from the girl in the middle of the class which obviously hadn't been working well enough. His eyes caught other guys laughing around her, staring at her- as if they had the right to go near her, Natsume's mind echoed. He frowned as he caught some of them staring at her exposed thighs, the sitting position having lifted her skirt more. He could see them checking her out, Mikan being oblivious to all the attention she was getting and he clenched his teeth in anger, gripping tightly on his mechanical pencil. He wanted to burn them all for even thinking about Mikan.

He looked at Mikan in an attempt to calm himself, remembering that he was the one who would have her; he was the one who had kissed her and the only one who would continue to do so. Not that he had meant to actually do it but he couldn't bring himself to honestly regret his actions. Her lips melded perfectly against his and he took pleasure from the fantasy in which her lips were made to fit against his. He sighed, looking back to his work. He definitely had it bad for her, he knew that; he had even tried to ignore it but in the end, it was impossible. He absolutely needed her to desire him like he has been for all these years. He'd definitely continue to tease her, no doubt about that but he wanted to have Mikan to himself, knowing that only he would have her. Yes, he was definitely as selfish as she thought he was, maybe even more so. In the end, he decided that he was extremely lucky that he'd held back enough to only kiss Mikan. He knew that if he let his guard down, he'd definitely fail in controlling what he did to her. Despite his previous onslaught of cruel teasing, he didn't want to hurt her.

Both Mikan and Natsume sighed and continued their maths work, both unaware of the fact that they were thinking of each other.

When classes ended, Mikan let out a sigh of relief. She was exhausted and all she wanted to do was relax and have some time to herself, which is what she had told her friends. They were concerned to say the least; Mikan had always wanted to hang out with them after classes and the fact she had dark bags under her eyes made their concern grow. The fact that it was a Friday made them additionally confused but they just smiled, wished her a good afternoon and she was left to walk back to the special star dorms. She knew that Natsume had gone ahead after speaking with Luka, her eyes having found it difficult to leave the raven-haired man all day. Mikan sighed once again as she entered her room, basking in the warmth provided from the heated floors. Special star rooms really were the best, she thought.

She hummed happily as she changed out of her uniform, replacing it with appropriate winter clothes. She felt like wearing bright colours so she changed into chiffon pink jeans and a white blouse. A matching pink chiffon jacket reaching her thighs was added to the outfit and she replaced the red scarf with white. Her red gloves were replaced by white as well, changing to white ballet flats to match and she smiled at herself in the mirror. She loved the clothes sold around campus, especially the winter clothing. She wore a necklace Hotaru had given her, the silver heart necklace simple but matched almost everything she wore. She smiled as she was reminded of her best friend, feeling a little bad that she hadn't stayed back with them. She loved her friends, knowing she'd be miserable without them. She sighed, swearing she'd make it up to them before she grabbed a white beanie and put it on, grabbing her sketchbook and pencilcase before leaving again. She felt like drawing today, the cold weather bringing on a new view of nature which Mikan wanted to attempt in capturing. When she was younger, she was absolutely awful at drawing but she'd been practicing in her free time and had drastically improved.

Walking around the Alice Academy campus she loved so much, she was happy at the warmth her new change of clothes brought and she clutched her sketchbook tightly as she looked for a place she wanted to sit to draw. She paused as her eyes fell on the back of none other than Hotaru. She rushed over to her best friend and as soon as Mikan put her hand on Hotaru's shoulder, the inventive girl turned and clipped a bracelet onto her wrist. Surprised, Mikan pulled her hand back before pausing to stare at the piece of jewelry in confusion. The bracelet was simple, safe for the strange, dark stones embedded around the silver metal. She looked back up to question Hotaru but she gasped as her friend's appearance started to morph into someone else. Hotaru's features were suddenly that of a male's, her height changed so that she was much taller than Mikan and her hair turned to Auburn. Before she realised, Reo stood in front of her and he grabbed her wrist painfully, causing her to drop both the sketchbook and pencilcase.

She gasped in pain and winced before glaring up at the man dangerously, making sure to activate her nullification alice. "What are you doing here, Reo?!" Unfortunately, the fact that it was Friday at the Academy meant that most people were in their rooms or shopping- making it so that no one was around such a secluded area as this. It was ironic, seeing as she had walked this way for that very reason; to get some alone time and draw peacefully. Now she looked up at Reo's demon-like smile and she attempted at wrenching her arm away but to no avail.

"It's nice to see you too." He greeted sarcastically, strengthening his hold on her wrist. "Calm down for a bit, brat- I just want to ask you a small favour." His smile was anything but innocent; however it was obvious he was making an attempt to seem as though he wouldn't do harm.

"Like I would do anything for you!" She growled, the feeling of frustrated clawing at her.

I'm stronger than this, aren't I?

She sensed the use of his alice and her guard was completely up, stopping her struggling in order to concentrate on her own alice. His voice pheromone alice would be incredibly troublesome.

"Turn around." She gasped as her body did as he commanded, attempting to fight it with all her might. She gulped, confusion filling her mind- why wasn't her nullification alice working?

He chuckled as he brought his hands around her, pulling her body toward his own. She shuddered in disgust at the close proximity. She could almost feel his confident smirk as he brought his mouth close to her ear.

"No struggling now, Mikan-chan. You still have control, somewhat. Well, you can answer me at least, can't you?" His sickeningly sweet voice was right next to her ear, soft as if he only wanted her to hear him.

"Let me go, Reo." Her voice was low and dangerous, her short temper getting the better of her. He chuckled again at her words before holding her closer.

"Sorry, no can do. I need to bring you home with me." He hummed. "You and that fire brat, of course." The mention of Natsume made her inwardly panic, attempting to struggle once again but her body wouldn't listen.

"Why can't I use my alice; what have you done to me?" His hand slid down to meet her wrist, the other hand moved to play with the bracelet.

"We've been gone for a while now. Recruiting isn't an easy task, y'know but we managed to find some interesting people. This bracelet was made by a person similar to your friend, you see. Invented it to temporarily stop your alice from affecting people, such as me. Your nullification is being nullified, Sakura-san. How does it feel to get a taste of your own medicine?" She looked down at the bracelet, frowning at it.

"What do you want from me?" Her voice was shaky as she asked the question. He let go of her wrist and his hand ran up her stomach, stopping just below her chest. She felt disgusted but she could feel the fear gripping at her conscience.

"Hmm, I guess you could say I want what I've always wanted; I'd like to recruit you and the Hyuuga boy and use your alices for the anti-alice organisation." She gritted her teeth.

"And what if I say no?" She couldn't help the defiant behaviour- she'd never do anything to go against the Academy. She was trying to keep as calm as she knew how but she couldn't fight the feeling in her gut telling her to fight back. He grins at her reply, moving a hand to her forehead to push her head back.

"Well since I have control over you, that won't matter, will it? Although, I'd much rather have you co-operate, Mikan-chan. Won't you join me willingly? I promise we'll treat you accordingly; in fact, you'd be our little star." She grunted in effort to pull away from him but she was still unable to struggle from his earlier command.

"I won't join. I don't want to leave." He hummed in amusement, running a hand through her hair, pulling it so her head was still pulled back, forcing her to look up as the back of her head was met with his shoulder

"Is that because of Hyuuga; we're bringing him, remember?" She held in any sounds of pain that were trying to force their way up her throat.

"N-No, not because... I have friends here. They're important." He frowned before letting her hair go, her head falling to face forward again.

"Friends will only turn against you; this academy would dump you on the side of the road at the drop of a hat if they couldn't use your alices anymore. If you join me, none of that would happen. If you join the organisation, we can bring down the academy."

She practically growled. "I won't. I won't help you bring down the academy for your own selfish reasons!"

He sighed as he let go of her. "That's a shame; I really would have liked you to come to us willingly, but I guess I'll just have to make you." Mikan could feel the fear returning, clawing at her stomach. She was trapped in her own body; she couldn't do anything to stop him from using his alice on her and she could feel herself trembling.

"You're going to go back like nothing happened here and you'll speak with Hyuuga. You'll persuade him into returning here with you and you'll aid me in capturing him. You will return with me to the organisation and you will do exactly as I command without raising suspicion. Nod if you understand me." She couldn't stop herself from nodding, her mind aware but her body being controlled. The man smirked in triumph. "Good. Now go."

Her body moved without her consent and she started to make her way back to the dorm, glancing back to see Reo pick up her sketchpad and pencilcase. When she was back to the special star dorms, she continued to fight her own body, attempting to stop the nonsense that was Reo's commands. Her gaze fell to Natsume's door and she felt like she was betraying him, despite not having control over her actions. She couldn't stop herself from knocking on the detailed wooden door as she was right in front of it. She prayed to every god out there that Natsume had gone out to meet with Luka or was in the shower, but as the door opened to show the raven-haired young man she had always sworn revenge on, her heart sank. He seemed surprised to find her at the door and she watched as he looked her up and down before he questioned her presence.

"I was wondering... if we could take a walk?" Her voice sounded normal, contradicting her inner war. He blinked at her before he retreated inside his room and conjuring in her chest was hope that he didn't want to see her, however that hope was easily dissipated when he came back into the hallway, closing his door. He instinctively shoved his hands into his pockets and started walking.

"Let's go." Is all he said before she followed, her body continuing to move on its own. Mikan walked beside Natsume as the said man glanced at her suspiciously every now and then. She led him toward where she had found Reo, tearing herself apart from the inside in attempt to regain control. Her body ached but her expression failed to show her struggle. "So, did you need to talk about something?" Natsume wasn't usually the one to initiate conversation, however she could tell he was beginning to get curious enough to be restless. She didn't know how to answer and neither did whatever was forcing her body to say things either. Natsume's suspicion grew at her silence and stopped, taking a good look at Mikan as she stopped in response. She wished that Natsume would realise there was something wrong; that they were both in danger.

His eyes caught her bracelet and he recognised the stones on it. They looked similar to the kind of stones they used for his earrings but they were black instead of red. He looked back to Mikan and caught her gaze with his own. Something was definitely off, he concluded; her behaviour being strange since he'd first seen her at his door. Originally, he had been surprised at her sudden appearance, taken aback by her ever beautiful state. He enjoyed winter since Mikan always left her hair out and she would always huddle up for warmth with whatever she was wearing. It made him want to embrace her and give her all his warmth, if only she'd cling to him in return. He didn't want to do anything when she wouldn't return his affection with equal fervour, however sometimes his body would act unwillingly.

He sighed at his own train of thought and tried to focus on the current situation. He knew there might be something wrong but he didn't know what so he thought he'd start with questions which weren't too obvious. "Why did you want to go for a walk with me?" He observed her as he asked the question and found no change in her expression.

Something was definitely off

"Well, I planned to go and draw but I needed to come talk to you." The fact that she wasn't exactly lying made her even more frustrated with herself. He gave a small 'hn' in reply before questioning her again.

"Where did you get that bracelet?" He asked carefully, watching her closely. She froze and Mikan took it as an opportunity to attempt at breaking through again. She gasped as pain coursed through her body and she almost collapsed had Natsume not been there with quick reflexes to catch her. She winced, clenching onto him desperately to keep herself from collapsing, attempting to form words through the pain of fighting her own body.

"R-Run-" She gasped again as a wave of pain attacked her head but she continued to fight, not backing down from her chance. "The bracelet is-" She panted and her expression showed how much pain she was in. "-blocking m-my alices..." He frowned as he held her in his arms, his eyes darting around them to see if anyone was around. Before she could explain any more, she was pushed back again and her expression became clear of pain once again. She pulled away from Natsume, reaching for his wrist in order to pull him onward toward where they'd been heading but he grabbed her wrist instead. He observed the bracelet before scanning his mind of what to do. When he tried to break it off or pull it off, it was too small and sturdy to do so, which is when he realised that he had no choice; he'd have to burn it off. The problem was that since her alice's were being blocked, she'd get burnt as well. He watched as the flame burnt her skin and as the silver metal melted, it hit the already harsh burns, furthering the damage. He felt guilt squeezing his heart, never wanting to actually hurt Mikan but he had no choice. As soon as part of it was melted off, he pulled the damaged bracelet off of her burnt wrist. Her breath hitched as she regained control before she fell unconscious in Natsume's arms. He knelt down and lowered her onto the grass as he heard footsteps from behind him. He turned to glare at a seemingly annoyed Reo and he conjured up fire to rest on his palm.

"I should have know you were behind this, asshole. What did you do to her?" Reo huffs in reply to Natsume's dangerous tone.

"You're dangerous as always, Hyuuga." He looks at Mikan, frowning slightly at her. "However, since you asked- I'm planning to have Mikan-chan join the organisation. I'd prefer if you came with but you're not as important now that she also has the stealing alice ability." He hummed, obviously not happy. "But I never realised she'd be able to break apart her own subconscious to get through the bracelet's power." Natsume growled, not wanting to hear it.

"She'll never join you." Reo could almost here the unsaid she's mine the younger man had inferred. He chuckled in response, enjoying the reaction he was getting out of the other.

"Oh, I'll get her to join. You should have been there when she was leaning into my touch earlier; she's grown up to be quite the beauty, wouldn't you agree?"

Natsume's eyes widened and he stepped forward, the fire in his hand growing. "You touched-" His eyes glowered in anger. "I'll burn your fucking tongue until it melts, you bastard." Reo took the dangerous threat as his queue to leave and he clicked his fingers, a portal showing up behind him.

"Watch out for her, Hyuuga; she's more powerful than you think." Before Natsume could move to attack him, he disappeared through the portal and he watched as the portal closed. He stood there for a moment before he heard Mikan groan in pain in her unconscious state and his fire immediately dissipated. He bent down, brushing back her hair before picking her up bridal style. For now, he decided that he'd take her to the infirmary to get her burns treated. He looked down at Mikan, Reo's words echoing in his head.

"Powerful, huh?"

Rewriting these is so weird. Reminds me of how my mind worked when I was younger. Honestly, the hellish happenings and grief have gotten worse in my recent stories so this is tame. These two are lucky. Anyway, review or PM if you have anything to say to me or if you have anything you wanna say about the fic. Whether it's good or it's flaming/roasting, I don't mind at all. It's good to get my ego both swollen and kicked simultaneously. After all, I can't have it any bigger than it already is- it's a common worry I have that one day the inflated ego I have will pop and I'll try to bury myself alive or become a serial killer. Either one. Anyway, until next time.
