Disclaimer: Think common sense. If I was Rick Riordan, would I be here on Wattpad? Sheesh, guys! Be smart! ;)

About: It's a special day for Travis and Katie's daughter Cassandra, who's turning sixteen. Follow Travis and Katie's thoughts in this little drabble.

Time: Forty or so years after the Giant War.

Katie's POV:

"I can't believe my little girl is growing up so fast! Sixteen years old already Cassandra!" I fussed over my daughter's outfit as she smiled.

"Yes, mom." She laughed lightly. "I'm sixteen now."

I looked at her quizzically. "Is something wrong, Cass?"

Cassandra shook her head, even though she knew she had not gotten her father's lying skills.

"What is it?" I smoothed back her hair. Cassandra sighed.

"I think I like Luke. You know, Luke Jackson." she mumbled.

My mouth dropped open. I had been shipping Luke and Cassandra for years now, seeing as how he was just a few months older than her and an excellent young man.

"Oh, honey, that's wonderful!" I cried.

"Yeah, well, I don't think he likes me back. Besides, we barely know each other."

I frowned. Cassandra was a sweet girl but she was right. The seven and our family didn't usually get together.

Travis and Percy were friends, but they weren't that close. We had other people we were closer to.

"Well," I said as I dusted off my daughter's dress. "If he can't see what an amazing girl he is, he doesn't know what he's missing. People like that aren't worth worrying about."

Cassandra smiled weakly. I knew she didn't believe me. I could see it in her eyes.

"Come on," I said, forcing a smile. "The party's going to start soon."

Cassandra nodded. She stood up straight and held up her chin. "Let's go."

My smile grew. "That's my girl."

~TIME LAPSE TO THE PARTY

Travis's POV:

I can't believe my little girl is growing up so fast. It's seems like just a few moments ago she was small enough to be held in one of my palms.

I watched as Cassandra walked about the guests, milling and laughing with her friends.

I smiled to myself as well. This was my girl. She was so confident, strong and smart. And she was growing up so fast.

Katie walked up to me and leaned into my side. "Growth is a strange thing, isn't it?"

I slipped my arm around her. "Yeah, it sure is."

I watched as Cassandra giggled with a guy about her age. He had the blond hair, blue eyes and aura of a son of Apollo.

"He better not hurt my Cass." I muttered.

Katie snuggled in closer. "Don't worry. Cassandra will make the right choice."

I grinned as I looked down at Katie. She was watching Cassandra with a wide smile.

I'm just glad that all this is our own.

So, here's O! Please guys if you have any ideas for X, please tell me! I honestly have no clue as what it should be for.

Q: What was the last line to TLO?
