Review: I would normally vote in the poll and say that I would like Ron to live but then I wouldn't get to see where it was you wanted to take this story. By logic, I'd have to guess you'd been inspired to change the direction of your story from your original intention but given that you are a young lady, I wouldn't put any galleons on it. I have to wonder how important to the theme of your story is this turn in Ron's fate? What do I mean? Okay. In the book HBP, the scene in the infirmary after Dumbledore dies in which Fleur explains that Bill's appearance makes no difference to her but is the man he is inside that she loves, and Molly swallows her pride and admits that Fleur is not who she prejudged her to be, and everyone convinces Remus that the only person whose opinion of whether he is lovable which matters is that of the woman who loves him...is a central theme to the book series. It is cut from the film adaptation. It's tragic. It's not the only tragic omission from the film but it is the most crucial of them. It was a chance to fully illustrate the belief that it is who we are as people that truly matters as opposed to looks, status, wealth, or power.

So what I'm saying is, does Ron's death further what you are trying to say with this story or is it merely a different way of getting from point A to point B? If Ron doesn't die, can you as effectively communicate the thoughts and feelings you want your readers to take away from your story? JKR said she had to kill off beloved characters in DH because she needed to illustrate the sacrifice and loss necessary to win the battle for it to be recognized as a heroic effort. I think DH is an incredible book and I can't tell you how many times I've read it, but I don't agree with the body count. I believe that all those who had read the entire series already knew the history of the war going back before James and Lily and that every family had suffered loss for their freedom from an evil tyranny. Now it's your turn. Your story. What do YOU want to say?

Reply: WOW. You really baffled me! In a good way. Thanks to your review, I went ahead and planned out all my story and whats gonna happen. I can tell you there's gonna be 24 chapters and I have each chapter planned. But thank you! Because you made me make up my mind and decide what I wanna do with my story. Thank you!

Review: Didn't see the poll. I am not particularly attached to Ron so either way I guess.

Reply: Alrighty! Thank you!

Review: I'm guessing that you're a fan of The Vampire Diaries, considering that you almost exactly quoted the grad speech and the part where Elena was staring at Stefan haha

Reply: Yes, I LOVE Vampire Diaries but the graduation speech is from Twilight. Lol.

ON WITH THE STORY!

Chapter Thirteen

Hospital Waits, Secrets, and Dates

But he breathed.

As soon as that damned tube was out of his throat and everyone was sure he was gonna die, he opened his crystal blue eyes and breathed. So many sobs and gasps were heard in the room.

"What d-did-" He was cut off with a cough. "What did I miss?" All the girls (Ginny, Fleur, Hermione, Mrs. Weasley) were instantly at his bedside and was sobbing and telling him not to do that again. Hermione flung herself in his arms and he grinned at Harry and Draco.
Harry tried to control himself and grinned, which felt like a grimace, back at Ron.

"It's nice to have you back, mate." He said quietly.

Ron sighed. Not a sad sigh. A grateful sigh. He looked to the ceiling and whispered 'Thank you.' Before looking at Harry and saying, "It's nice to be back. It's really nice to be back."

While Ron had to rest in the hospital to make sure he wasn't hurt anymore and there wasn't any more damage to his internal organs for a month, life resumed for everyone else.

Hermione continued with her job at the bookstore and actually earned up enough money to pay for the hospital bill. She paid for Draco's and Harry paid for Ron's. Although both had told them, they could pay the bills but Harry and Hermione refused and they paid the bills even though they didn't know it.

She went home at 6 PM, and she could swear, she could feel that Harry was hiding something from her. She knew it. She just knew it. But what could he possibly be hiding and why?

Draco's P.O.V.

She was beautiful. Just beautiful. The way her hair shined in the sunlight, the way her eyes glimmered in happiness, the way her dress fit her every curve. She was the definition of perfect.

"Draco!" She laughed. "Are you paying attention?" She asked with her hands on her hips, smiling at him.

"Of course I am! How could I not with someone as beautiful as you in front of me, demanding my attention?" He smirked at her and she blushed.

"Quite the charmer aren't you Mister Malfoy?" She asked, twirling her hair around her fingers then flinging it over her shoulder.

"I call it a specialty." He shrugged and smiled. Her red hair was curled lightly, not to much but just the right volume of curls. Her brown eyes were twinkling it looked like, with playfulness.

"Think fast Malfoy!" She shouted before throwing her drink, which water, over his head. He stood there shocked, he didn't think she would do something like this. But, of course, she was a bold one. She ran off, laughing and throwing her head backwards and ran through the woods, carefree. She dodged trees left and right.

As her hair disappeared behind a tree, he finally regained himself and growled loudly and laughed softly when he heard her laughter echoing through the chairs. He bolted, chasing after her. It was a good chase, he'll give her that.

Every time he got even close to snagging her waist, she changed her direction time and time again. After a few minutes of chasing her and her escaping fate, he snagged her wrist and pulled her back into him. She laughed and didn't even resist. He wrapped his arms around her tiny waist before capturing her in his arms. He leaned his head down on her forehead and smiled down at her.

"You're beautiful, you know that?" He whispered and smiled even bigger when her cheeks started to darken.

He leaned down and softly kissed her not once, not twice, but three times on the lips before hugging her and sitting his head on her head. Her head was comfortably on his chest and she was snuggled into him. Life couldn't be better.

He was only luckily that they had run into each other on his way to the apothecary.

*Flashback*

"Stupid bloody pure-blood stuck-ups." He huffed, making his way through the crowd, stumbling when people pushed him and called him 'Blood-traitor'. He sighed and got through the crowd and walking calmly towards the apothecary. He needed some new potion ingredients. He was about the enter the shop when he bumped into a feminine figure.

"Mmph!" Came from the body beside him. Both of them were on the floor and Draco hurried to get up.

"I am so sorry, miss. I wasn't paying attention to where I was going and..." He stumbled off and reached a hand down towards her. She grasped his hand and he brought her up. She looked up and both of them gasped.

"Malfoy?" She asked.

"The one and only." He said, cheekily smiling.

"Who knew I could make, Draco Malfoy, stumble on his words?" She chuckled.

"Me, stumble? Never!" He said proudly before snorting.

"So, how's my brother doing?" She asked, concerned.

"Ron's doing...well I guess you could say. He's not awake though." He said, smiling sadly at her.

"I just really wish he would wake up, ya know? He's been through so much and it's horrible for him just to lay there and look like...a corpse!" She said, tears glimmering in her eyes. He held open his arms and she just looked at him like she was crazy. He rolled his eyes before smiling and gathering her in a big hug. She gripped his shirt and gripped it like the world depended on it.

"It just hurts! So much!" She whisper-yelled in his shirt. He rubbed his hands up and down her back, trying to comfort her. She sniffed and backed away from him, wiping her eyes and her nose. She looked at his grey tee shirt.

"I ruined your shirt." She said, smirking a bit.

"It's a shirt. It's fine." He said smiling.

"Let me make it up to you? Dinner? My place at 7?" She asked.

"It's just a shirt but okay. I'll take you up on that offer." He said, smirking a bit.

"I'm not doing it for the shirt. I just wanna hang out with you. I could care less about the shirt." She said, shrugging, still smirking.

"Okay. See you then, Weasley." He said, going to turn around but a hand stopped his movement.

'If we're gonna go out on a date, then you need to call me by my name." She said.

"Okay, Ginny, I'll see you at 7...Wait, where do you live?" He asked but she was already walking away.

"Figure it out!" She shouted, walking backwards, smirking a bit, before turning around and strutting away, taking a piece of Draco with her until they met again.

Now why was he at the apothecary again?

*End Of Flashback*

Ginny is an amazing woman. Before they talked in front of the apothecary, they rarely spoke besides when they had to speak to each other.

They're being going on dates since 3 months ago, and they've been officially dating for a month. They haven't told anyone that they were going out because everyone's been busy with Ron & Harry and Hermione were too into each other and distracted by each other.

"So..." The wonderful voice brought him out of his thoughts. "When are we gonna tell everyone about us?" She asked, swinging their hands back and forth, keeping her forehead against his.

"In two weeks, at the party we're throwing for Ron. We just need to be patient until then." He said, rubbing his nose against hers in an Eskimo kiss.

She nodded and tilted her head about and they kissed again, seeing fireworks behind their eyes.

Harry's P.O.V.

Was he trying to be secretive? Yes.

Was he trying to make Hermione worried? No.

Was it a good surprise? Yes.

But he was going to do this traditionally. So that Saturday, when Hermione was at work, he headed to the Burrow. He would originally go to her parents for this type of thing but her parents were killed in the war because they were discovered.

So that afternoon, he spoke to Arthur who was like a dad to everyone and asked him something very important.

Something that would change everything.

He asked for his blessing. To marry Hermione. To make her his forever.

Now, since he had the blessing and a some very detailed threats in mind, he just needed to plan when and where he would ask the question. He wanted to make it memorable. He wanted her to remember it everyday.

Oh.

And he needed to get the ring but he had an idea what the ring was going to be and where he was going to get it from.

What did you think? This chapter may have been crap but it's a filler chapter for upcoming chapters.
