Reviews and Reply!:

Review: I almost choked with laughter when I saw your reply to Kasmira36. I didn't expect you to call it exactly how it was. People usually say having sex or making love which is either too clinical or too romantic, which it was neither. Especially in fan fiction. If anyone wants to know how their sex life is with their partner they need to first ask if they are comfortable calling it whatever it is according to what it really is at the time. Fan fiction writers usually don't make the distinction and Ginny's point of view pretty much explained that it was not making love. But Harry was under a potion, so it wasn't clinical either. And Harry would not have been able to resist the potion unless he had an activated soul bond with Hermione. Keep hittin' it! No time to slack off now. Type! Type! Type!

Reply: Why, thank you. I tell it how it is. I'm not gonna lie. I said it like that because it was like a one-way love for them. Ginny loved him but he loved Hermione. She thought it as making love to Harry but Harry though of it as fucking/forced sex. I think I am going to bring some soul bond action into this story, but when Harry and Hermione get married. So stayed tuned! I love your reviews by the way!

Now, on with the story, my faithful readers!

Chapter Fifteen

Rings, and Old Flings

Two Month's Later

"Vault 687." The small goblin announced as Harry left the cart. He nodded towards the goblin and opened his vault with the small golden key he'd kept all these years. It was a miracle he hadn't lost it yet.

He opened the door and looked at the gold, silver, and bronze money on the table and just barely glanced at it before his eyes were adverted to the small box sitting beside it.

He went over to the box and opened it slowly. Inside was an intricate ring, the medium sized diamond being surrounded by small, red diamonds. The band was silver but it was fading so he needed to fix that. He stuffed the box carefully into his pocket, put some of the gold and silver money into a pouch, and walked back to the cart where he was then carted back to the lobby of Gringotts.

Harry didn't waste time, he made his way out of the bank and apparated, once in an apparation spot, to a spot outside of a muggle jeweler. He opened the door and was met with the sharp smell of molten metal that came from the back.

"Hello!" A burly man stated in an overly cheery voice. He waved Harry over to one of the displays of rings and necklaces.

"What can I do for you, young man?" He asked. Harry pulled out the box that held the ring and a two coins. The coins that they used in fifth year for Dumbledore's army. He only found these two, one being his and the other being Hermione's.

"AH!" The jeweler said, picking up the coins first. "What odd looking coins? Never seen one in my life before." He said simply, before picking up the box and opening it.

"Oh. This is beautiful. Do you want to sell it?" He asked eagerly. Harry chuckled and shook his head.

"No. I was wondering if you could possibly melt these two coins and pour it on the band of this ring. As you can see, the ring's band is fading and I would like to fix that." He said.

"Oh. Yes. We can do that. Would you want to replace any of the diamonds?" He asked, taking the rings and coins before sitting them in a box behind them and closing it.

"No. Just, clean them up a bit, would you?"

"An inscription?" He asked.

"...Just a little something on the band. Forever." Harry smiled.

"Lovely. When do you need it, Mister...?" The jeweler asked.

"Potter. Can I possibly have it within the week?" He asked.

"Oh yes. That's very possible. Just come in within four to six days and your ring should be ready for pick up! The payment will be $79.87. You can pay whenever you come to pick up your ring." He said with a smile.

"Thank you!" Harry said brightly before walking out of the store and apparated home.

While Harry was out and in about, Hermione was rummaging through the attic of the old Potter Manor in Godric's Hollow. She had been there once a week, to see what was left there and what could be saved. Over half the house was a waste. There was so much water damage and the back-fire of the Killing Curse left a dark magical signature over almost everything in the Living Room and in the messed up nursery.

It was a mess. The only rooms that were left untouched were the master bedroom, the master bathroom, and half of the attic. Luckily, the part of the attic that was destroyed had no items on that side so the side with items on it, Hermione went through them. Harry said she could anyway.

Hermione's sad smile never fluttered off her face as she looked from photo to photo of Lily and James Potter. There were pictures of them hugging, kissing, and somewhere just talking and smiling. There were quite a lot of pictures of Harry as a baby and she blushed at seeing him naked as a baby. Not in embarrassment but from trying to not laugh really hard. Then Hermione came to a box at the bottom of the box of photos.

It was a small square, probably about the size a necklace would fit in.

Hermione opened it and gasped.

Inside was a diamond necklace, where the pendant was in the shape of a teardrop and a ring. Not just any ring, the Potter Crest Ring. There was also a letter in the box with it and Hermione opened it.

Dear Harry,

When you find this, you will be Lord Potter. You will be known for it in Gringotts and every estate that belonged to the Potters will now belong to you. That is if we're not alive.

Which I don't believe we will be, because of the prophecy. We will go to any lengths to protect you, Harry. You're our son and we love you.

The Potter Crest is handed down generation through generation. Just like the Malfoy's, whose ring has a snake on it for the house being known to have full Slytherins heirs, the Potter's are known to have Gryffindor heirs.

You're going to be best Gryffindor there is, Prongslet! -James

Really James, had to write that didn't you? Anyway, so the Potter Crest has a lion on it. For Gryffindor, and for bravery.

The necklace has a powerful charm on it. It keeps whoever you give it to safe. The necklace will protect them from a simple hexing charm to a stunner. It's quite useful.

Just like the ring, the necklace is also passed through generations of Potters. Usually, the husband gives them to their wife and then it will be passed onto the next Potter once the wife dies.

We love you Harry. Hope you give the necklace to someone who really deserves it! Love you, son.

Sincerely,

Mom and Dad.

Hermione hands were shaking. She was holding a letter that was written by James and Lily Potter. Harry's deceased parents. Why hadn't this been found before this? Surely, Auror's would've came and investigated everything and taken away useful items.

Hermione didn't dare to think about it after that and just put the box back into the box of photos and apparated home with the box in her hands.

Earlier that week, Draco had gone to Hogwarts. He had contacted Minerva McGonagall two weeks before hand about trying to get the open position of Potions Professor and she had agreed to met him today.

He had to floo into McGonagall's office and when he entered the room, he was met with Minerva McGonagall herself, and four other members from the School Board. All four had stern faces.

"Draco Malfoy?" One cried. "You want to employ Draco bloody Malfoy?"

"Indeed, I do." Minerva said coolly.

"But, Minerva, surely you remember his former title? And what he did in his school years?" Another said.

"I'll let you know that, yes, I do remember his former title and that's it. It's just a title. It means nothing today. He was influenced as a kid, wanting to make his father proud. Stop living in the past." She sneered at the one who asked the question.

"Well, I will not be employing Death Eater scum." The oldest one sneered back at Minerva.

"I'll remind you who the Headmistress is here. And it's not you." The oldest one had the right to look embarrassed and looked down. "Draco's N.E.W.T. levels are one of the highest I've ever seen, other than Hermione Granger's. His best grade was in Potions anyway. So I say, give him the job."

She turned to Draco and smiled a bit. "Draco, you have the job. Welcome to the family of Hogwarts."

Draco smiled largely. "You won't regret this, Professor." He shook her hand.

"It's Minerva, Draco. We're collegues now." He nodded and left back through the way he came.

Ron shook his head as he left George's shop. He chuckled as he recalled the little trinkets, well pranks, that he had recently made. One was a little bird that you could give to someone as a gift. You had to speak nicely to them for them to work. But instead of them doing the command you want them to do, they do something completely random.

As he was lost in thought, he bumped into someone, steading them before they hit the ground.

'Thank Merlin. That's only the third that I'd push someone into the ground.' He looked at them and was about to smile and say sorry when he say who it was.

"Won-won!" Squeaked the person in his arms. He huffed and dropped his arms and tried to walk away but a person's hand wrapped tightly around his arm prevented him from walking away.

"Won-won! You came back for me!" Lavender Brown squealed and tugged on his arm, trying to kiss him. He stepped back and forcibly made her let go.

"No, Lavender, I did not. When will you get it into your thick skull, that I do not, will not, and have never had any romantic feelings toward you? Go find someone who will invest their time on you." He said coldly, before glaring at her and went walk away but yet again, a hand stopped him.

"Won-won! You know you love me! You're just confused! You'll come to your senses. Let me help!" She said before trying to tug him to her but he pushed her away.

"Leave me alone Lavender! We had a fling. A fling! In school! We were just kids. Grow up. I have." He said, practically having steam coming out of his ears.

She went to tug on him again but a perfect manicured hand gripped her hand hard and Lavender squeaked and pulled her hand away.

"Didn't he say to leave him alone?" A voice that he knew vaguely say coolly. He looked into the eyes of Astoria Greengrass and she turned so her back was to Lavender and winked at him.

"Excuse you! Who are you?" Lavender squealed, trying to touch Ron again. Astoria smacked her hand away and Lavender pulled her hand back again as if she had been electricuted.

"Astoria Greengrass. Former Slytherin. Girlfriend of this red head here. And a woman who wants you to keep your hands off of things that aren't hers." Astoria spoke. It was started like a normal conversation but by the end of the sentence, she was hissing and was in Lavender's face.

Lavender looked as if she was about to burst into tears but she held her head up high and said, 'You'll regret that. You'll regret taking my Won-won away from me!" She squeaked at Astoria before running away.

Ron turned to Astoria. "What was that?" He asked, trying to stop laughing but failing.

"Just say 'Thank you, Astoria, for saving me from that wanna-be whore.'" She said, smirking.

"Thank you, Astoria." He said, smiling at her before ducking down and pecking her cheek. He pulled back and was delighted to see that her normally pale cheeks started to color a bit.

"What was that for?" She asked, her cheeks still pink.

He turned away and started to walk away. He turned his head to the side before he would disappear. "That was me. Thanking you." He then apparated back to Harry and Hermione's house, where he was a temporary resident.

One week later

Harry knew he was going to come home to a party so he wasn't surprised when a big shout of 'HAPPY BIRTHDAY HARRY!' as he walked through the door. He chuckled and opened his arms and hugged everyone that came. The Weasley's, Hermione, Draco, and...Blaise Zabini and Astoria Greengrass?

When he got to Blaise and Astoria after hugging everyone else, Astoria grabbed his arms and through them around her while wrapping her hands around him. He chuckled and hugged her lightly before turning to Blaise, where they shared a man-hug.

"So, what brings you two here?" He asked.

"Ginny. We're actually good friends. I helped her with some things. Plus, she going out with my best friend. Of course I'm gonna be here." He shrugged before smiling slyly at Harry who smirked back.

"Ron." Astoria said simply. Heads turned towards Ron and said person turned red and everyone chuckled. Astoria went over to him and pecked his cheek quickly.

"Quite the gentleman, I'll say." She said to everyone, and everyone smiled at her.

"So..." Heads turned towards Hermione. "Cake or Presents?"

Later

"Mhuiasdb."Ron's voice was muffled as his face was shoved into the arm of the couch. Harry snorted and patted his friends back. He looked at everyone and a bunch of presents were shoved into his lap. He raised an eyebrow and looked at everyone. They just shrugged their shoulder. Okayyy...

From Astoria he received a new snitch, the newest one!, and the newest book from his murder series. He gave her a questioning look.

"Ron told me about the book series you liked and I saw the new one was out and got it for you." He smiled and gave her a hug.

From Blaise he received Quidditch season tickets, where he could go to any and every game.

His jaw must have been dropped.

"Potter, I know about your fascination with Quidditch. No need to thank me." Blaise smirked at him.

From everyone else, he got new clothes, a jumper, new shoes, a bracelet that matched his eyes, a book he hadn't read yet, some pranks from Weasley Wizard Wheeze's, and a few other misceelanious items.

What brought tears to his eyes was Hermione's presents. She had given him the box she had found in the attic. He put the ring on his finger and it automatically fit his finger and he felt a surge of power run through him and the electricity flickered for a minute before it gained stability. He took the necklace and gestured for Hermione to turn around. He slipped it around her neck and clasped it.

He felt power radiating from the necklace as soon as it was clasped and from Hermione's gasp, she felt it to.

He smiled at her and wrapped her in his arms and opened his last present, which also brought tears to his eyes.

It was another photo album, again filled with pictures of his mom and dad, but also with pictures of himself, Hermione, Ron, Neville, Draco, the Weasley's, the fun times during Hogwarts, his professors. Everything. He turned his head down at Hermione and grasped her head with both hands before deeply kissing her, forgetting that anyone else was in the room.

Unfortunately, several people cleared their throats, making the moment end. He removed his lips from hers and said 'Thank you' and a tear fell from his eye when his eyes got too teary.
