Review: Nice chapter, I think you have some nice creativity in your writing. I hope you can update sooner though. Lots of drama too
Reply: Thanks! I hope to update sooner to but its really difficult since I'm taking all honors and accelerated classes, the teachers give me a lot of homework, and I'm dealing with depression/anxiety/panic attackes at the moment so I took some time to calm down and focus on myself. Thank you to everyone for being patient with me!
Thanks to you guys, I have returned xD Enjoy this chapter and the next!
Chapter Seventeen
Drama, Moving, and A Not-So-Pajama-Party
Her jaw dropped. Her eyes were wide with shock, hands slack. Her legs threatened to buckle beneath her and her knees wobbled.
This can't be. She had tried so hard to protect them. She helped them back to help. She had just got them back.
She sunk to the floor with the letter in her hand, tears dripping from her eyes constantly, never stopping. She didn't make a noise. The tears just couldn't stop running. After an hour, the tears stopped but the pain stayed.
She plain out refused to believe they were gone. No. They were all she had left in the normal world.
"Hermione!" She heard someone yell as the came into the hallway where she was staring blankly at a wall.
Strong arms picked her up and cradled her in their arms and carried them into the nearby room, sitting down with her in their arms.
"Hermione?" They shook her shoulder. "Hermione, what's going on?"
She shook her head and refused to talk for a minute, staring at the wall and jutting her chin out before her shoulders shook again and she let her head drop down.
"They're gone."
"Whose gone?
"They're gone." The letter fell from her hands to the bed and a hand reached out and picked it up. A gasp escaped from their lips. The letter fell from their hand as they wrapped their arms around her.
Her eyes flitted to the page on the floor. Her eyes caught the words,
'Dear ...We're sorry to inform you that Mrs. Jane Granger and Mr. Roger Granger have passed away...
A five year old girl ran across the room, squealing as a young man of 27 chased her across a living room. A scream erupted from her throat as the man threw her into the air, her head coming close to the ceiling, yet not touching it. Her body fell back into the mans arms and he hugged her close and lovingly. He stroked her hair and randomly, spun around three times. Her shrieks echoed throught the room.
"Roger!" A feminine voice echoed through the room and the woman came over to the man called Roger and took away the young girl and cradled her in her arms. She looked over her body and checked for injuries.
"Oh, Janie, she's fine. Even though we're "stuck up" dentists, we can still have some fun." And with that, Roger grabbed his wife in a hug after she set the young girl down and twirled her around and dipped her. He looked into her caramel eyes that sparkled with mirth and leaned in with a sweet smile on his face to connect their lips to ignite the fire inside their bodies.
"Mommy! That's yucky!" They broke apart to look at the little girl who had crossed her arms and pouted at them.
"Yes, baby. That's very bad of mommy. I'll be sure to not do that." The little girl nodded and put her arms out to be held. The woman chuckled and lifted her and turned back to Roger who winked at her.
11-year old Hermione Granger shouted from her bedroom.
"MOM! I think someone is playing a joke on us!"
"What do you mean honey?" The woman walked into the bedroom and sat down on the bed beside the girl and looked at the enevolope. It had a wax seal on the outside and she gripped the letter in her hand and opened it easily, since Hermione had already opened it. As she read through it, her eyes kept getting wider and wider until they possibly couldn't anymore. Her hand slacked but then her eyes lit up in a fire.
"I don't think someone is playing a trick on you dear. You see, your great-grandmother was a witch. She was called a muggle-born, because she had been born from two ordinary people with no magical abilities. And it is from the same professor, so no, no one is playing a trick on us dear. Don't you remember when you made that cookie float over to you, even though we told you we didn't want you to have anymore because they're bad for your teeth?" An image of a smaller Hermione popped into mind with a cookie floating towards her. She chuckled to herself.
"So what do we do?" Hermione looked at her mother with bright eyes.
"We go and get you you're school supplies!" Hermione groaned as her mother replied cheerfully.
"Mom. He's just so...yummy." Hermione sighed as she talked into her pillow and her mom was sitting beside her, rubbing her back.
"Honey, boys can be jerks sometimes but if you really like this Henry guy, you should wait and see how it turns out." Her mom said quietly, making sure to rub softly but firmly on her back. The fifteen-year old girl was sad, because he never noticed her. She tried to let him copy her notes at all times, she went on dangerous adventerures with him, for Merlin's sake, she almost died for him!
"Mom...I just want him to notice me..." Those were the last words Hermione got out before her dad walked into the mother-daughter scene.
"What are my two lovely ladies doing?" Neither of them responded, but Roger got the hint. He sat down on the bed beside them and pulled both of them into his arms and stroked their heads and sat his head on their heads.
Tears streamed down her face as she faced her parents for the first time in a year. It was after the final battle. They were sleeping, couldn't hear her but she didn't care.
"They got all their memories back?" She asked tearfully to the nurse nearby.
"Yes. We restored their memories just yesterday."
Hermione choked a sob back and held her mom's hand and pecked her dad's cheek.
"I've missed you so much, I'll never leave you guys again." She rested her head on her mom's chest. "I'm just so glad you're okay." Tears shook her shoulders and she fell asleep right there, in St. Mungo's, holding her parents tightly.
Hermione rushed into her parents house, still dressed from being dragged to get engaged.
"Mom!" She shouted as soon she entered the house. She heard light footsteps travelling down the stair case and her mother appeared before her.
"Is everything okay?" Her mom's voice cracked a little. Hermione hugged her mom and kissed her on the cheek before jumping up and down.
"You'll never guess what happened?" She sqeualed. Her mother just stared at her with an eyebrow raised.
"I'm getting married!" She shined with happiness. Her mother's jaw dropped.
"No!" Her mother shouted.
"Yes!" Her mother jumped up and down with her and her dad walked into the room, with his eyebrow raised.
"I don't wanna know." He said before walking out of the room chuckling.
Hermione eyes were blank, yet you can look inside them and see the emptiness and dullness that lingered inside.
Harry kept his head tucked his head into the space in between Hermione's neck and shoulder. He breathed in her scent and made himself calm down as the scent of him travelled through his body.
"Hermione..." He started, quietly but his voice got a little bit louder as he continued to talk. "I know you're upset about you're parents passing but you got to think, if they could see you right now, would they want you to be like this? Would you want your mom and dad to be upset and just empty if you died? I'm sure they would be upset but, truly, I don't think you would want your parents to just end their lives practically. So don't be that way towards them. Don't shut me or anyone else out. We're here to help you. Not just be here when you want us to be here. Just...talk to us."
Harry hugged her a little bit tighter and just kept his head right in the crook of her neck, letting her seek comfort and him taking comfort in holding her.
Hermione made the first move. She wrapped her arms loosely around Harry then the gears started moving in her head. Her arms came around him tightly and her shoulders moving so suddenly. Her whole body shook and her head started to shake back and forth as she just tried to keep herself together. But soon, it was all too much for her to handle and she let herself go limp into his arms and let her body be free to shake with the heart-breaking sobs.
Harry rocked them back and forth, shushing her and stroking her head lightly while rubbing her back.
I promise, Harry vowed in his head, you'll never have to go through such pain again, if it's up to me.
Draco made sure each and every box was in it's correct place. He sighed. He hated to leave Harry and Hermione just after her parents had passed on but he needed to find a place where he can live by himself, and where his girlfriend can come over when she pleases.
Girlfriend.
He loves the word. He never had many girlfriends growing up as a teenager. The war was distracting and he didn't have anytime for it. Though it seemed like he was the 'Slytherin Sex God' it was all rumors and lies. He never had sex with anyone in school. Outside of school, yes.
His first girlfriend was when he was 18, after his trials and trying to remove his dark mark, which refused to leave his skin behind. He was a virgin at nineteen. So all the rumors in school was not true.
Now the dark mark, this is how Harry and himself became to know each other personally. He needed someone who could remove the dark mark because he hated that it tainted his life. Someone told him that Harry Potter knew how to remove them, because while hunting for Horcruxes, he had came across the spell to remove the mark.
And, of course, the spell worked. Although, it left behind a pinkish scar that covered half of his left forearm that healed over a year. Though it was darker than his normal skin color, no one could hardly tell unless they really looked for it.
But, back to moving. He found a flat just a couple of miles away from the Potter Manor and had taken the offer and paid the price in full for it. It was a nice flat. It was on the fifth floor and it was the most expensive and luxury one they had. He only bought it for the price because it seemed to have very nice quality.
As he removed each shrunken box from his pockets, he set the box in its designated place. It took around an hour or two to get everything in the correct place and afterwards, he set on making dinner for himself and Ginny.
He planned on making homemade pizza with Italian sausage and little pieces of pepperoni. And it was going well. Until he got distracted by the muggle device that Ginny had made him get. He was doing this thing called 'telling' or something like that to Ginny. It was where you typed a message in and it sent to the other persons' device and they replied back. It was like talking in person. And after about he smelt a burning smell which made him look up at his kitchen and see bits of black smoke traveling from the kitchen.
He rushed into the kitchen. Coughing every now and then, he got to the stove and removed the pure black ruined pizza. He opened the window and let the smoke and smell leave the room and he pouted at the pizza that was as black as charcoal.
He was about to throw it into the trash when the doorbell rang. He kept the pizza in his hand and opened the door.
"Ye-es?" He snipped at the person at the door and was greeted by Ginny's amused face staring at the blackened pizza.
"Um. Hi?" He asked with a small smile on his face.
"Wanna just order out?" She said, letting a giggle slip out.
Though Hermione was still a bit upset about her parents, she kept a smile on her face for other people's sakes. And her birthday was around the corner. Just tomorrow literally.
As she walked around in sweatpants and long sleeve shirt, she kept eating the cheddar cheese goodness known as goldfish and watching Vampire Diares. And even though she was a witch, she still enjoyed this series that muggles made.
She was getting to the point where Elena was about to get her body permanently possessed by Katherine where her phone rang. She groaned and paused the show, grabbing her phone.
"'Ello?" She uttered.
"Hermione? It's Ron."
"Hey. What're you doing?" She asked as she popped another goldfish into her mouth.
"Well, I was wondering if you could come over to my flat? Right now?" He asked. She rolled her eyes. Right when I was getting to the good part.
"Sure Ron. I'll be there shortly." She said, a little annoyed inside.
"Great! See ya soon Hermione." He said, a little too brightly for her likings.
"Bye." She said and hung up.
She got up and only changed sweatpants to a pair of skinny jeans, threw her hair up in a messy bun and slapped on some mascara and apparated outside the wards of the flats that Ron lived in.
She walked into the elevator and went to level five, tapping her foot in irritation.
She walked out and opened the door to Ron's place a little too harshly. But the room was dark?
"Hello?" She said and walked into the room. The door slammed behind her randomly and she jumped, not expecting that. She whipped her head back and forth, even though she couldn't hear anything. Something grabbed her and she acted on instinct, and threw her arm back and elbowed them in the gut, and turning around and pushing the heel of her hand into their nose.
"Oi!" They yelled. It sounded really like George for some reason. And the lights came on.
George was standing in front of her, one hand holding his stomach, the other holding his nose lightly while drips of blood fell through the cracks of his fingers. The Weasley was around the couch, all faces shocked and amused. Harry was mending George's nose and Ron was dying laughing on the couch with Draco.
"Geez Hermione." She heard Ginny say. "We try to throw you a surprise birthday party and you injure someone. Why am I not surprised?" She smirked at her.
"Birthday...party?" She uttered in disbelief.
After everyone had calmed down, they ate and laughed, and told stories that everyone had heard over and over but no one minded.
And of course, everyone gave her presents. Of course they did. It was the usual books, clothes, make-up, jewelry sha-bang. But Ron's gift stood out the most.
He had gotten her and Harry a week long vacation on a cruise from England to New York, then they would spend three days there, before going to France for four days, then heading back to England. It was exactly what she needed right now. She was stressed and just needed a little time to relax and over two weeks was exactly what she needed.
She hugged him so hard, she heard his neck pop and him try to talk but not exactly talking. She let a few tears drip, though she don't know why, and once the party ended, she immediately went home.
Now to finish that Vampire Diaries episode...
Sorry the end was crappy. I got tired and distracted and I just wanted this filler chapter to end. Be ready to deal with drama because here in two to three chapters something no one expects is going to happen. If you want, feel free to leave a review and I'll PM you and tell you personally whether you're wrong or right.
So, you should like totally favorite or follow this story to get updates on it if you liked it.
Hope you liked it. Review and I'll reply to it. I don't skip over anyone just because.
I dunno when my next update is going to be, but it will have some drama, as always, but here on nineteen or twenty, there is going to be shit tons of drama. Get your popcorn and candy ready, you're in for a long time here.
