So, due to my faithful reviewers. I decided to update earlier once again.

Meh. I put too much time on my stories and I LOVE IT.

Has anyone read The Count of Monte Cristo? If not, go and read it. I'm reading it for English class and we have to annotate it with post-it notes and that's that only annoying part.

Thanks to Imoconnell13 for favoriting, following the story and for favoriting, and following ME XD Thank you lots bro!

Review: I didn't expect such a thrilling chapter after the previous ones that calm, happy, sad, and happy again. You never fail to surprise your readers. Hope the three women fine. Oh and thank you for updating very soon.

Reply: Hey. I'm getting back into my normal schedule. Once I start typing, it's hard to stop. I try not to make everything too dramatic or too sad or too joyful. Life isn't always fun nor hard. I can tell you that one of the women are not fine. I teared up a little to be honest, with what I wrote.

Chapter Twenty-One

Desperate

Beep.

Beep.

Beep.

Though the man kept a tight grip on the woman's hand, that didn't stop the machine from making the current noises.

Beep. Beep. Beep. Beep. Beep. Beeeeeeeep.

"No." He choked. Tears rushed down in streams. "Don't you dare leave me, not after I just found you. Not after I found both of you." But his words didn't make an impression on her, and her heart rate kept dropping and dropping.

"I need help!" He yelled, pressing that CALL button. "Someone help!"

Harry was currently beating in the dark haired man's face.

"What. Did. You. Plan. To. Accomplish?" He yelled in his face, each word in between a punch. He kept punching and punching, failing to notice that the man had fallen unconscious. Then a hand grabbed his pulled back fist.

He turned around with a snarl on his face and realized it was just Draco before he relaxed.

"Stop. You're killing him." Draco said calmly. "You're not a killer Harry. Just let him go. Auror's are already on their way." Harry numbly nodded and stood up. Then he realized...

"Hermione!" He yelled and sprinted to her side, Draco right behind him. He started undoing the binds on her ankles while Draco undid her bindings on her wrists. He gently yanked them off of her before unbuckling her head from the table.

Hermione's body slumped forward, trying to hit the floor but Harry caught her.

"Shh. Shh. I got you. I got you. You're safe Hermione." He whispered in her ear as he lowered her to the floor. Her eyes flickered randomly around the room, anxiously almost. He let his eyes drop down to her stomach and whimpered at the blood showing through the shirt. He ripped it open, just enough to see what damage had been done.

When he saw how much damage was done, his vision went red. Her stomach was cut open. There were visible smaller cuts on her torso and arms but her stomach was the worst. She was shaking hard enough to rack Harry's body.

"Harry. She need's St. Mungo's attention. Right now." Harry nodded and spotted a fireplace and in hope of floo, he started a fire. He found some floo powder and threw it in the flames. It turned green.

He stepped in with Hermione in his arms and he said clearly, "St. Mungo's, Emergency Room." And with that, they were gone.

Downstairs in that basement, Ron had stayed with both girls. He held Astoria close and rip off several pieces of his shirt to clean up her cuts a bit. Ginny just sat there stoticly, until she heard her beloved's steps making his way down the stairs.

Draco ran to Ginny and hugged her closely. She felt like she couldn't breathe. He pulled back just enough to ram his lips to hers in a bruising kiss and Ginny felt no need to care. She kissed back just as harshly and when he let go, he accessed her injuries.

"Are you okay? They didn't hurt you, did they? I swear if they did, I will go back upstairs and kick their sorry asses." He hissed.

"I didn't get hurt as much as Astoria or Hermione. Just a burn under my chin from the fireplace poker." He lifted up her chin and looked at the angry and blistering burn that was about three inches long under chin. He tapped his wand on the burn and a bandage was applied. Underneath, burn paste was applied. He hugged her back to him. Draco looked at Ron and noticed the tears in his eyes. Draco looked back with tears in his own eyes and nuzzled into Ginny's neck, kissing the junction where her neck and shoulder met and squezzed her tighter.

"Ron." Draco's voice was muffled from within Ginny's shoulder. "Astoria needs to go to the hospital. You can probably apparate with her, seeing as she isn't bleeding fatally." Ron nodded and with a 'Whoosh' Ron and Astoria were both gone.

"How is she?" Draco asked quietly.

"She's fine. Been kicking restlessly due to lack of food but other than that, she's fine." Draco nodded and breathed in Ginny's scent and relaxed into her hold.

Harry stumbled into the room, covered in soot and blood.

"I need help!" He yelled, still carrying Hermione. Two doctors came rushing down the hall and with one look at the pair and a gurney appeared out of nowhere. Harry led Hermione down and with that, the doctors and Harry were both rolling Hermione down the hall to the emergency room.

"Heart rate?" It was a couple of seconds before another doctor answered.

"32. We need to hurry up. We're losing her." They pushed her into the big room with lots of sharp instruments.

"There's no pulse. Bring out the defibrillator." With that they brought out the electrical machine that would jump start Hermione's heart.

"Charge to 200." A buzzing noise filled the air. "Clear." They brought the two pads down on Hermione's chest and she arched up into the pads.

"No pulse."

"Charging to 250." A louder buzzing filled the air. "Clear!" They once again brought the pads down on her. She had the same reaction.

"Still no pulse."

"Charge to 300."

"Clear!"

"No pulse"

"Once last time, charging to 350!" A slightly, high-pitched noise filled the air. "Clear!" As they brought the pads down, Harry watched from the door, holding his breathe as he waited to see if there was any change. His heart was breaking slowly, watching as Hermione remained unresponsive.

One minute went by and a nurse shook her head.

"Time of death, 5:27 AM."

Harry lost it, right there in the floor, in front of the door where his life walked away.

Ron had went to a muggle hospital, not trying to draw attention to himself or Astoria. He sat there in that waiting room for about an hour before he was allowed to see her. And he prefered her to when he saw her a couple of hours ago. Bandages covered her arms and head but other than the IV poking in her arm, she was fine and resting peacefully.

He grabbed her hand and smiled as a tear dripped down his face. She's gonna be fine. She's okay.

"That's impossible."

"It's a miracle!"

"I can't believe it!"

Harry lifted his tear-streamed face up, hearing the commotion going on inside. His jaw fell open when he saw Hermione's chest going up and down, tragically to say the least but she was breathing.

"She started her heart up again. How?"

"Don't ask questions! Be thankful the girl is still breathing!" And the doctors got to work on stitching the open wounds closed and getting nutrients in her.

Two hours later, he's sitting beside her hospital bed. Watching her closely with a small smile on his face, like he can't believe that she's still here. That their baby is still here.

But then he listened to the sounds of the heart monitor.

Beep.

Beep.

Beep.

Even though the man kept a tight grip on the woman's hand, that didn't stop the machine from making the current noises.

Beep. Beep. Beep. Beep. Beep.

Doctors and nurses rushed in and desperately tried to find the reason why her heart was dropping. They pushed Harry out of the room and assured him that she would be fine.

Another hour pasted and another hour after that before a doctor called for Harry.

"What's wrong?" He asked, trying not to get his hopes up.

"Ms. Granger here has been under severe stress for the last twenty-four hours. I'm sorry to say, Mr. Potter, but..." His words trailed off, leaving Harry's mind to roam in the worst possibilities ever.

Did she die?

Did she fall into a coma?

Did her body start shutting down?

What? WHAT? WHAT?

"...It seems as if Ms. Granger has lost one of the twins. I'm terribly sorry for your loss." The doctor smiled grimly then walked off, leaving Harry in a stupor.

We were expecting twins?
