What happens when River, a kittypet, gets taken from her home? Will she be able to find her way back or learn to survive in the wild?
Washed Away
A gray tabby she-cat lay in the bright sunlight. Her blue color showed she was a kittypet. She was laying around when she saw that the clouds were rolling in. She should get inside before it starts down pouring. She rose to her feet as she padded to her flap in the door. She hit her nose at the flap. Panic flared in her belly. Where were her house folk? She trotted around to the front of the house. The black monster that usually slept there was gone. That meant her house folk was gone. She turned to head back to the backyard. As she got there, it started to lightly rain. It strengthened in no time. She slips under the bush that her house folk had lining the backyard and slips under. She looked outside and nestled herself. Her eyes wide with panic. The rain became string. It clattering on the roofs of the dens. It formed puddles in ground. It was terrifying. She soon curled up to sleep.
As she dreamt, she was padding through a lush forest. Her bell around her neck did not jingle as she leaps over roots and other obstacles. Here, she felt free. Just as she was enjoying this, she noticed a tidal wave of water rushing toward her. She panicked and pelted away hoping she wouldn't get struck by the wave. As she ran, her paws began to feel sluggish. She looks down to see she was in thick mud. She was sinking! She looked around with panic. Just then, the wave clashed into her forcing her into a spiral as it leveled out into a river. It was rushing river. She fought for the surface. She kicked through the water but her long coat was making her feel heavy. How was she going to get out of this? She finally broke the surface gasping for air. Another wave had brought her down under the dark angry river. Her dark gray blue fur was soaked to the bone. How much longer can she last in the raging river? She spiraled out of control. Paddling to the surface again, she broke it once more. She finally got her paws churning like she wanted. The only thing was, where was the land. All she saw was the fast river and the pitch black darkness of the sky with no stars. If there was no land, how will she have the strength to keep herself afloat? Another wave crashed into her bringing her under once more.
The dark she-cat jolted awake. Her lilac eyes scanning her surrounding. She was in a forest beside the raging river. How did she get here? Her long fur was damp and it took a lot of effort to even rise to her paws. She shook the water off and began to explore. House folk dens was no where in site. Her blue color around her neck was still attached but her bell had fallen off. The loop that held it to the collar was weak and so it slipped off. She looks around the forest. Now… Where was her home?
