Jeez. Benny and Ethan are so stupid. But they make up for it by being nerds. Benny convinced Ethan to take over the PA system. Haha. So now, we're in the principal's office. I'm in there because I got in a fight with a football player, but I'll explain that later. They were surprised to see me in there though.
"Sup guys." I say with a smile as I sit down.
"Wolfy? What are you doing in here?" Benny asked. Then he put his arm around me.
"I got into a fight."
"And I missed it?!"
"Well it was around the time that you were messing with the PA system." I say with a smile. I heard really loud music and I turned to a girl who was next to me.
"That's really loud. Wouldn't you hurt your ears?" I ask her. She doesn't respond.
"Well you shouldn't be talking." Ethan said. I laughed sheepishly.
"Hush." I say. Then I start to pull out the earbuds. OH MY GOD WHAT WAS THAT?! It's like there's a vine or root connecting the earbuds. Weird.
"Don't do that." She said. Uhhh. I turned to Benny and Ethan.
"Guys?" I said. They nodded.
"Definitely gotta look into that." Benny said. I nodded and the principal brought us all in.
"I am very disappointed in you three. Especially you Dustin. You're a good student. Why fight?" He looked at me.
"Well you see, sir. I have anger issues and he was harassing me so I did what I needed to do." I say with a smile on my face and crossed arms. Benny smirked.
"Heh. That's my girl." My smile widened.
"Alright. Your punishment will be gardening." The principal smiled to himself as if that's a great punishment. Yea right. I shrugged and we all got the went out and started pulling weeds out.
"How is this punishment? I mean, we're all friends and we get out of class. This is good." I say as I pull out more weeds.
"Well. I wouldn't say that this is fun but, at least it gets us out of class." Benny said. Ethan sits up and sighs. He wipes his forehead.
"Well. I'm going to go get water from the vending machine because we wouldn't want to get dehydrated." I say. They nod and resume the work. I head inside and grab out some money from my locker. On my way to the vending machine I bump into someone.
"Damn." I say as I hold my head.
"Oh hey Dustin." I hear Rory say. He helps me up.
"Hey Rorster. Wazzup?" I say.
"Nothing really. Just off to go download something for Erica." He said. I nod and I walk to the vending machine. He follows.
"What is it?" I ask as I put the money in and purchase 3 water bottles.
"It's a Single Tear concert." He smiled. I nod.
"Cool. Never heard of them." I laugh slightly.
"Well I gotta go download it now. Bye my little wolf." That kid. I swear. I will hurt him one day but oh well. I walk back outside and I see them talking. Ethan has his back to me and Benny looks up. I put my finger to my lips. He understands and keeps talking to Ethan.
"Rawr!" I say as I jump on to his back. He screams and I fall off laughing. Benny is laughing too.
"That's not cool Dustin." I hold my stomach.
"Oh. Sure it was." I say and continue laughing. He shakes his head and I put him in a headlock.
"Oh cmon E. Laugh it was a joke." I mess up his hair and he laughs a bit.
"There we go!" Benny says and we laugh.
"Well. We're almost done here. Wanna help for the last few?" Ethan asks. I nod.
"Sure. Why not." I get down on all fours and pull out the weeds. I crawl away from them and I hear a smack and an 'ow!' from Benny. I turn around and look at them. Benny is rubbing the back of his head and Ethan looks angry.
"What the hell?"
"Don't worry about it." Ethan said. I nod and continue working.
"So. Wolfy. What happened to get you in trouble?" Benny asked. I smirked.
"Well you see Caster. I got into a fight with this big football guy. I won, of course and his friends and a lot of people witnessed it. He was humiliated. It was funny. But I was at my locker getting my beef jerky right? And then this guy comes up and starts hitting on me. So i say 'What do you think you're doing?' and he goes 'hitting on a pretty girl.' So then I glare at him. 'A girl with a boyfriend.' I say and he looks at me with this 'give me a break' look. He says 'you're dating a loser.' So then I get mad and grab his collar and slam him against a locker. This was getting people's attention so they stayed. Then I say 'Don't talk about him like that. He's more of a man than you'll ever be.' Then I started walking away. But he had to grab my shoulder and say some wicked mean stuff about you and then I grabbed his hand and flipped him. There was a crowd now and he got up. He tried to pin me against the lockers, but I kicked him in the balls. When he was on the floor I picked him up and his feet were dangling. So I say 'don't you ever insult my boyfriend again yea?' and I walked away. The teacher grabbed me and that's what happened." I say with a smile. I sit down and get tackled by Benny.
"Aw. You're so sweet!" Benny said. I hug him back and he kisses me. I kiss him back and Ethan coughs before anything gets too intense. We pull away, aaaaand I'm blushing.
"We'll continue this later." Benny said with a wink and got off of me. I blush more and we continue to work.
A little later Sarah comes up to us and hands Ethan her laptop. She says something about it having a virus and walks away before he can say no. Jeez.
"Looks like we gotta fix it." I say picking it up and putting it in my bag. The school day is over and we head back home. I have my skateboard today, so I ride alongside Ethan and Benny.
"Hi mom." Ethan says and Benny and I offer a greeting too. We head upstairs and I take out the laptop.
"Let's open this thing up." I say and Ethan grabs a screwdriver. We open it and it has a bunch of green goop inside. It smells like… Plant.
"Something make me think that we can't fix this." Benny said. I nod and Ethan looks at me.
"Do you know what it is?" He asks.
"What makes you think I know what it is?" I say and narrow my eyes. He throws up his hands in surrender.
"I just figured that you might know since you scrunched up your nose when we opened it." He said quickly.
"Oh. Okay." I smile and he smiles nervously. "It smells like plant. So this must be…" I say thinking about it.
"It's something and it's planty. Now. We have to figure out how it got into Sarah's laptop." Ethan said. I raised my eyebrow at him.
"Planty?" He shrugged and I laughed. "Alrighty then."
At school the next day, we decide to try and see what's going on with everything. To the outside we go. When we go around to where we were weeding, and Benny saw some massive roots that lead back to the school. We followed it to the back of the school.
"Woah." I say as we walk around the corner. There were plants going into the electrical box.
"That must be why the technology is acting wonky." Benny said. I nod.
"We have to see where this leads." Ethan said. I gave him a 'seriously' look.
"It obviously leads to the computer lab because that's where everyone hooks up their stuff to download crap." I say. Benny nods.
"Alright. What she said."
"But we can't go in there now. We have to wait until after hours." Ethan said.
"Then lets go into the basement and hide for the next couple of hours." I say with a shrug. Ethan gives me a look that makes me laugh. "Yes I am insane." Benny hugs me from the side and kisses my cheek.
"And I love that about you." I smile.
Nothing much really happens over the day so once school ends, we head down into the basement and hide in a closet. It was kinda weird since it was kinda cramped but oh well. After about 20 minutes at least of poking each other and goofing around, I looked at the time.
"Well we should be okay to go ahead and get out now." I say. Ethan opened the door and we got a few of the gardening supplies. We head out to the hallway and can I say that it's creepy as hell? Like damn. But we went to the computer lab, and we find Rory in a cocoon of roots. It was really gross because as he talked, green goop fell out of his mouth. It went on and on about revenge.
"It looks like it's time to do some gardening." Benny said. Ethan and I cringed.
"Oh honey. No... Just no." I say and he pouts.
"You can do better B." Ethan said. But we slashed it and killed it so... That was an eventful day.
"Let's go home guys. I've had enough of this magical business for one day." I say. Benny smiles and wraps one of his arms around my waist and pulls me towards him. I smile as well and kiss his cheek. He blushes and I giggle. I look over to Ethan and he smiles.
"I say that we should celebrate!" I say. Ethan and Benny stop walking.
"What do you mean?" Ethan asked.
"Well~. For one our friendship! I've never had friends for this long! Or a boyfriend. *blush* But anyway, why can't we just party for no reason?" I ask while crossing my arms. Benny and Ethan exchange looks and I guess Ethan gives in.
"So... Does this mean we're having a party...?" I raise my eyebrows and Benny nods.
"Yea. I guess it does." He doesn't know how happy he makes me... Or how contagious his smile is. My smile widens and I jump on to him.
"Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!" I say quickly.
"No problem Wolfy." I got off of him and hugged Ethan too.
"You guys really are the best." We pull apart and I interlace my hands with both of theirs. We walk to the house in silence.
"Are we going to invite anyone else?" Ethan asked.
"Sure. How about Sarah, Rory, and Erica?" I said. Benny cringed at Rory and Erica's name. Hmmmm.. Oh well. I will interrogate him later. Ethan nods and goes on to call Sarah, and Benny calls Rory. I'm stuck with Erica... Although, I kinda don't want to invite her, we're still friends.
"Hi Erica!... Well I was planning on having a party and... No not that kind... Just the usual bunch... Yea... Oh cmon! I wanna celebrate how long we've been friends!... Oh alright.. Party pooper." I pout and hang up. Benny sees me and wraps his arms around me.
"Hey Wolfy. Why the long face?" I look up at him.
"I told Erica that I wanted to celebrate our friendship and she said she had better things to do than hang out with losers like you guys." He pulls me closer to him and buries his face in my hair.
"Don't let her get to you. She is just soaking up all the attention she can get. She just got turned this year remember?" He whispered into my ear. I have to admit, having him this close to me is giving me chills but he's right. I can't let one person ruin my night. Ethan comes over.
"Sarah said that she would be over soon and we can party." I smile. This is going to be a great night.
"Okay cool! Let's get everything ready." I clap my hands and head to the kitchen. They follow.
"What are you doing?" Ethan asked.
"Well you see, pup, I am ordering pizza." I giggle at myself and call the pizza place. Did I mention that I'm well known because of how often I get pizza?
"Oh alright. Benny and I will clean out my room… As in move around things so we can have a dance party." He scratches the back of his head and heads upstairs.
"Wait!" I call and he stops. I hand him my phone. "There. The password is 1283 and go to my music. There should be a playlist labeled as Party Awesome Sauce Music. Thanks." I give him a quick hug and he goes upstairs with a smile. Benny is in the kitchen getting out bowls and snacks. I dial up the pizza place.
"Hiya. It's Dustin. Yea…. A party… Yes please…. Really? Thanks… Okay thank you bye!" I hang up. Benny laughs and puts his arm around my waist from behind.
"You go there too often."
"I'm addicted."
"We should send you to pizza anonymous then."
"Nooo. I don't have a serious problem."
"Yes you do. You go there after school everyday."
"I don't have a problem."
"Admitting it is the first step." We burst out laughing.
"What are we doing Caster?"
"I don't know Wolfy." I turn around and pinch his cheeks. He pouts.
"Why'd you do that?"
"I wanted to." I stuck my tongue out childishly. He poked my sides and I
squealed. I flicked his forehead and he smirked.
"You shouldn't have done that babe." I smile and then run up to Ethan and I's room. He was coming out of his room and I collided with him.
"What the? Why are you running?"
"I may or may not have just started a war with Benny." As I said that Benny came up the stairs.
"Babe~. You shouldn't hide." He did not just use my thing against me. I laugh nervously, then hide behind Ethan after we stand.
"Ethan help me!" He is now my meat shield. I pull his shoulder back into his room and then slam the door. I lean against the door and lock it.
"What are you doing now, Dusty?" He looked slightly amused but more annoyed.
"It's hide and seek time between Benny and I. I'm going to jump out the window and go hide somewhere. After counting to 10, let Benny in and explain to him. Text me when he gives up or when the pizza is here." I whispered into his ear. He nodded and started laughing.
"Alright. Now shoo." I hug him and then jump out the window. Hmm… Where to? Oh! The lake near where our first date was. Yea, that's it. I sprint towards the area and then realize I'm lost in the woods. Oh well. Might as well use my nose to help me out. I walk for about 10 minutes until I catch the scent of water. Yes it does have a scent. I run towards the smell until I almost fall into the lake. I texted Ethan.
Hey E. Give him a hint.
How? I don't know where you are and he's gone to your tree that you go to constantly and his grandma's house.
Tell him water.
Ethan doesn't reply. Maybe I could go for a late night swim. I'm happy I have on shorts and tank top. I dive into the lake and swim around. The sun is setting and I watch it from my place in the water. After about 20 minutes of relaxing, I hear someone call me.
"Dustin! Wolfy! Babe! Where are you?!" I giggle slightly and then go under without a sound. I swim to an area near him and hide myself in the greenery.
"Where the hell is she. He said that the hint was water. So where is she… Oh… Dammit Wolfy. You're clever but I'm not going into the water." He said under his breath. He looks around then right at me. I plunge under, but I made a small splash. When I go up again, Benny is gone. I look around and I see him behind me. I yelp as I see how close he is.
"Dammit Caster you nearly scared me to death." I say giggling.
"Well. I hope you know that I am in jeans so I am not getting in the water." He smiled and sat by the edge. I nod and then smirk. I have a very good plan.
"Oh didn't you to come in. I just got bored waiting for you and I figured why not?" I pushed off of the bank and started swimming in a small area. He sighs.
"Are you planning on getting me to go in the water?" He asked while staring at me.
"Nope." I say popping the 'p'.
"Well now I wanna come. You look like you're having fun." He smiled slightly.
"I am having fun. But~ The pizza is there by now so we have to go." I say, swimming back to the bank and getting out. He stand and I whip around to push him in. He grabs my hand as he falls and we land with a splash. When we surfaced I was laughing and he look slightly angry.
"Sorry. I had to. But we really should get going now." I grabbed his hand and went over to grab my phone.
Pizza's here.
Dammit where are you guys?
I'm gonna eat it all.
Ethan you better not. Got a little sidetracked. You know me and my childish mind. We're on our way home now. P.S. Get me out pjs. I may or may not have swam in the lake x3
You're stupid Wolfy but alright.
"Come on. If we don't go now, Ethan is going to eat all of the food." I continue to drag him to the area I came from. He pulled back a little and led me towards the road.
"I brought my bike." I smiled and when we got to his bike, I sat on the handle bars. We were home in about 10 minutes. I knocked on the door and Ethan opened it. He sighed and facepalmed when he saw me.
"You're an idiot." Then he handed me a t-shirt and sweatpants.
"Thanks~." I run upstairs and close the door. After I change into Ethan's vintage Star Wars shirt and his sweatpants, I head downstairs to see that Sarah and Rory are here.
"Cool. Now we can get this party started." I say before digging into the pizza.
A/N Sorry I haven't updated in a while but I was trying to find inspiration to continue this chapter that I've been trying to write since I posted the last one. But anyway I hope you enjoy and the next one will be the party and an episode. :)
