A/N: I'm happy you all liked the second chapter! Please enjoy the third!
Mac blinked at the boy in the front of the room.
"Ok... Bloo. Please take a seat. Here, you can sit... in the midst of those popular boys over there." The teacher said, pointing over to a group that seemed all shiny with popularity and richness. Bloo blinked at the teacher.
"Oh, wait, I was hoping to sit next to Mac." Bloo said, moving in his direction. Mac started blushing and scooting down further in his seat, but everyone was already looking in his direction.
"Eh? You know him from childhood or something? Oh... fine, Johnny, you can move over there." The teacher said.
"YES!" A boy sitting next to Mac cheered and scooted his way into the center of the popular group.
"Thanks, teach! And they said, high school was ruthless." He muttered the last part to himself, rolling his eyes. He sat next to Mac.
"Bloo? Is that... really you?" Mac whispered to the brunette next to him.
"Yea, Mac. By the way, I've got to talk to you after class..." He said cooly, not looking in Mac's direction. Mac picked up some anger in Bloo's tone, so he felt a little uneasy about thier talk after class.
~-*(Wilt's 3rd period)*-~
"And this new student, Wilt Foster!" The female teacher introduced, and Wilt walked in, slightly ducking his head out of habit.
"Hello everyone! I'm Wilt." He said, warmly, then smiled, showing off perfect dimples in each cheek. Everyone didn't respond as they looked at the tall boy. He smiled back and they just stared. His smile started to fade.
"Uh, is there something on my fa-"
"You're tall..." They all droned, amazed.
"Oh, w-well." He said, embarrassed, ducking his head and rubbing the back of his head.
"You should play basketball." A girl voice said from the back.
"Oh, you think? I, uh-"
"I agree!" The teacher said, moving over to the desk and writing on a notebook. "I shall alert the coach, and you find your way to the gym after school and try out, ok?" She said, giving him building numbers for the gym.
"Oh, uh, ok. Alright." He said, smiling again. "I'll do that! Thanks!" He said, and moved into the class to find a seat. He sat down, his knees still hitting the down side of the desk. I never thought I'd be able to play on a basketball team again. He thought. This place could be better than I thought! He put the little note paper in his pocket.
~-*( Coco's second period)*-~
"Hello!" She greeted her class.
"Oh, hey girl, you is hot!" A boy jeered in class.
"You are so pretty, I bet we could do something so great out of your hair!" A girl in her group of friends called out.
"Come sit with us!" A different group of friends called across the room.
"Naw, girl! come sit over here and get to know me better!" A boy teased. Soon the whole class was chattering.
"Class, class, class!" The teacher clapped his hands, to get his class's attention. "That's no way to treat our new student. Please sit where you like." He addressed Coco.
"Oh, ok." She scanned the class, and decided to sit by the group of girls closest to the door.
"Hm-hm. Good choice, sitting with the cheerleaders." A blonde girl in a high pony tail said from behind her.
"Cheerleaders?" Coco asked, with one eyebrow raised and a glint in her eye.
-~*(After 3rd period-transition to lunch)*~-
Mac followed Bloo out the door, although, this took a while, as guys stopped him to greet him or girls stopped him to introduce themselves. But eventually they found themselves out by Mac's locker. Bloo whirled on him and punched him in the arm.
"How could you? Without even talking to me? Without even a proper good bye?" Bloo angrily said. Mac rubbed his arm, but knew he kinda deserved it.
"Bloo, look, I'm sorry, I knew you wouldn't understand-"
"Understand what?-"
"-And It would've be too hard for me to see your face when I told you-"
"And you would've been ok to never see me again, even if it was that face you didn't want to see-"
"I didn't even know how to start, if I told you-"
"-You would've at least been able to see me again. I mean... is all we went through... did all that mean... nothing? Just some fickle departure, is all you left me, like something you'd brush under the rug and forget? How did you think that made me feel? Mac, you're my best friend. I just couldn't believe you'd do that. I've always thought you were smart... but this was a pretty stupid move." Bloo finished, and walked off from Mac.
"Bloo! ah..." Mac groaned. He rubbed his sore spot on his arm and walked down the hall looking down sadly. Then he looked up and his look changed to determination.
"I'll make this up to him." He looked back down the hall at Bloo's retreating back. "I promise. I'll definitely make it up to you..." Mac continued on to his lunch period.
-~*(Edwardo's third period-ending-transition to lunch)*~-
Edwardo walked out of his Esol class with 2 other guys.
"Ok, I'll catch you later, mang." One of Ed's friends said in a Spanish accent, walking off with the other boy.
"Ok, Adios mi amigos!" He walked off to get to lunch. He was walking in the quickly-emptying halls when he heard something around the corner down the hall he was walking in.
"Ah! No!" He heard a girl's voice trill.
"Haha, Whatcha gonna do, chica?" He heard a meaner male voice say.
"Oooh! That voice sounds muy scary! I should go the other way..." He said, and turned to leave.
"Ah! No! Someone, help! Help! Ayudeme!" She yelled out. Ed's eyes widened and his pupil's narrowed.
"Bully?! NO BULLY!" He charged around the corner. A guy was pulling on a girl's hair, but when he saw the muscular Mexican running towards him with eyes blazing, he ran away as fast as he could.
"You Bully! You leave the nina alone!" He growled after him. He huffed.
"G-gracias... " He heard the girl say behind him. He turned and saw she was fixing her hair. She had glossy brown hair and light brown eyes wearing purple eye shadow and lip gloss.
"I don't think I know you..." She said, flipping her behind her.
"E-eh, oh, I-I'm Edwardo Foster..." He stumbled, lost in her eyes.
"My name's Paola Garcia..." She blinked slow and flirtatious. Edwardo nervously smiled and a blush came over his face.
Wilt walked around the cafeteria, looking at all his choices for lunch. After seeing all the options, like "Mystery Meat" he decided he'd just go for a salad. He moved to get into line for it, but accidently bumped someone trying to get into line at the same time.
"Oh, I'm sorry." Wilt apologized.
"Sorry." A luxurious girl voice apologized back. Wilt, surprised, turned to look at who spoke. There was a dark skinned girl with wavy long black hair. She was fairly short, coming up to Wilt's chest and was wearing skinny jeans and a basketball jersey for the school with curves in all the right places. Her lips were thick and her eyes were wide, and she had gold hoop earrings in each ear.
Wilt felt his face go hot and could only stare. She looked up at him and her eyes widened in realization.
"Hey! You're that new kid from my class!" She said in a slight slang accent.
"Huh? Who?"
"You kno'? I'm the one who said you should play basketball!" She insisted. "I know, I'm kinda forgettable." She said, looking down.
"Uh, no, no, I know I won't be forgetting you in a while..." He said, looking her over again. She giggled and looked up at him, and he felt too embarrassed to continue looking her over.
"Sorry!" He apologized mechanically.
"Whatcha sayin' sorry fo'?" She laughed.
"P-please, go on ahead of me..." He stuttered, moving to the side and swaying his arm in a gentleman way.
"Ooooh, thanks." She pulled her bang behind her ear.
"So, uh, I see your jersey... you like basketball?" He tried to make idle conversation.
"I love basketball. And... I'd love to see you out there..." She said, twirling a strand of hair around her finger.
"Ahhh..." He felt his face go hot again. Then he shook his head vigorously.
"Uh-uh, what's your name again?" He asked. "I mean, you already know mine." He gave her a lope-sided smile.
"Oh, I love your dimples..." She commented with a dazed look on her face. "The name's Sasha, cutie." She said, and grabbed her salad. "I'll see you around." She jaunted out the line.
"Wow..." Wilt stared after her.
Wilt grabbed his tray and walked out of line, walking past Goo. Goo stopped in her tracks, staring after the tall basketball player.
"Who's that?" She said fawningly, hearts popping into her eyes. She began drifting after him like a love sick puppy.
Bloo walked out of line, looking for somewhere to sit. Just scanning the cafeteria, he could see people at tables glancing at him, seeming to tell him he could come over, his theory supported by the gaps between people at tables, with just enough room for him to sit.
But he wanted to sit with someone he knew. He wanted to sit with Mac. He sighed and turned and spotted Coco, sitting at a crowded table with pretty boys and hot girls. Probably the popular table. He figured he'd just sit with her.
He moved towards the table when an object hit him hard in the back of the head, a liquid exploding out onto his hair. He dropped his tray, his hair dripping, the liquid seeping down his back. At first he thought he was bleeding out, and was about to die, but he saw no blood, and it only hurt from impact, not like his brain was splitting open. So, instead, he turned to look for the idiot culprit who would be stupid enough to hit him.
All were gawking at him, appalled to see such a display, but there could be only one who was enjoying this, and Bloo spotted him. And when he spotted him, he couldn't stop the smile breaking onto his face.
Mac bounced a water balloon in his hand with a smirk on his face, leaning on a wall.
"I'm gonna get you!" Bloo yelled out and ran towards his creator. Mac started and turned, running to an exit leading to an outside picnic area. There was a section of grass in the middle of picnic tables. Mac had buckets of water balloons all around the lawn with some water balloons on the ground themselves.
Bloo slowed down to look at the great set-up for a water balloon fight and ended up being hit in the face again. While he wiped at his face, he heard Mac's laughter and Bloo couldn't help but want to play with him, no matter how mad he was. He picked up his ammo of balloons and began throwing them at his best friend.
They threw back and forth, soaking each other, and at one point, Cheese found them and joined in, mostly playing and wetting himself. Mac turned to throw again, but didn't spot him. He looked left and right, when he was tackled from behind, a reminiscence of their childhood games.
They laughed as the bell for the next class rang, and people started leaving the tables, talking about the display of water war. Mac looked up at Bloo from the ground, his wet hair clinging to the side of his face, while Bloo stared down at him.
"I really am sorry Bloo... I was really sad when I had to leave you, but I knew how much you like to have fun and I wanted to make sure you didn't have to be confined to that house when you could have fun with some other kid. But now that you're human and you're in high school with me, I'll definitely hang out with you more!" He smiled brightly at his best friend.
Bloo smirked down on him. "Fine, I'll hold you to that." Bloo said and got up completely, and stuck out his hand. He helped Mac up and then cheesed jump on them, knocking all three of them down.
"III liiike chooocolate milk." Cheese droned. The boys laughed and rolled around to get away from each other.
"AHEM." They all looked up and a dean was staring down at them.
Phew! That wasn't as painful to finish as I thought. Thank you all for all your support so far and I hope you've enjoyed reading this chapter!
