Holding tight onto her boyfriend's hand, Emily held her plastic son right against her chest. The older boy had convinced her that everything would be fine, that they wouldn't have to worry about Haley and what she had planned, and Emily was finally beginning to calm down.

Her heartbeat had raced so fast in her chest that morning that it had made her throw up her breakfast.

"You're going to be fine," he whispered, pressing a kiss to her dark hair as they continued down the hall The entire school was participating in a play day, helping out the elementary and middle schools with playing team sports, and Aaron planned to stay by his girlfriend's side the entire day.

Emily sighed, shaking her head as she saw a few cheerleaders glare at her from the school's back entrance. "It's like they're a cult."

Aaron watched the girls run out to the back field, probably to go and try to find their leader, and he laughed. "Yeah, a little bit."

The fifteen year old let her boyfriend take the gurgling baby from her arms as they walked out into the sun, and she blew up her cheeks with the air in her mouth, trying her best not to fret over the fact that Haley might try and cause the best guy she'd ever known to dump her right in front of the entire student body.

She had a good idea of the secret the bottle blond wanted to spill, and because of that, she feared the worst from her boyfriend. That was the rest she had stayed up with him the rest of the night to tell him the whole story.

She had cried harder than she ever had before, even when her dad had almost left them, and Aaron had hugged her the entire time.

Nothing the ambassador's daughter had said had made Aaron change his mind about her.

He would love her no matter what.

Aaron gripped his girlfriend's soft hand and leaned down, pressing his lips to her ear. "How are you feeling?"

"I don't know."

Shrugging his shoulders, the older teen led his girlfriend toward the fields. "At least you're honest."

Emily bit down hard into her lip and laughed nervously as she tasted blood. "Aaron, what is the school going to think?" she whispered fearfully, letting her boyfriend stop and turn her away from the crowd. "What are they going to say?"

"It doesn't matter what they're going to say. What matters is how you feel and what you think, and I'm not going to let her make you feel anything you don't want to."

Emily looked up to the older boy with sad eyes. "You can't stop her from saying what she's going to say."

Aaron kissed her before walking away from her and toward the stage where the cheerleaders were getting ready to announce the start of the day.

"Aaron!" the ambassador's daughter hissed, her hands wringing the straps of her son's diaper bag. She smiled to a few people who looked her way before hurrying off toward the stage, trying not to attract the eyes of those around her. "Aaron get back here!"

"Good morning, everybody! Welcome to our fourth annual Track and Field play day!" Haley smiled, watching the kids jump in their spots. "Your teachers have already assigned you guys groups, right? So we're going to get everything set up for you guys and the start time will be in ten minutes." Handing the microphone off to one of the other cheerleaders, the blue eyed blond looked toward the end of the stage to see Aaron climbing the steps. "Aaron," she grinned.

Aaron waved, walking up to the younger girl. "Hey Haley. Great set up for today."

The cheerleader gave a goofy grin. "Do you want to help out?" she asked, twirling a strand of hair between her fingers. "We need to set up the concession stands of juice and pretzels for the kids." Maybe she'd be able to get closer to him if he wanted to help out.

"I actually had a question for you."

"Sure," she giggled, ignoring the ambassador's daughter coming up to the edge of the stage. "What's up?"

Aaron smiled, stepping forward to invade the younger girl's personal space. "I need you to back off."

Haley's smile fell from her face, and Emily's jaw dropped. "What?"

"Back the fuck off," he stated strongly, his hands in the front pockets of his jeans. "My girlfriend is none of your business, nor are her secrets your business. So you either stay away from her and I, or you can get yourself to cheer the fuck up and move on. I don't want to be with you anymore, and you have to get that through your head."

The blonde's jaw clenched, her teeth gritting as she looked up to her ex. "I can tell you things about your precious girlfriend you couldn't even imagine."

"I know a lot more than you think."

Haley stood tall, her shoulders straightening. "Do you want to know exactly what happened after her little randevu with Johnny over the summer?"

Aaron watched the blonde's eyes widen when he bent his head, his breath hot on her cheek. "It was her decision to do what she did, and I don't see how it's your right to know anything about it."

"It wasn't that hard to search up medical records," the cheerleader laughed. "It was an abortion, Aaron. Imagine if that precious little fake baby you two have for class was a real one? How would you be able to handle the fact that your little girlfriend is a skank?"

His hand lifted before he could even think, and when he was pulled back by a pair of familiar hands, he felt his breath leave him.

"Aaron honey, don't," Emily rushed out, looking to the other girl with scared eyes as she pulled her boyfriend back to her chest. "It's not worth it."

"It is," he growled.

The brown eyed girl kissed her boyfriend's calloused hand. "Nothing she says is worth getting expelled, nor is it worth losing me as a girlfriend."

Aaron turned. "What?"

"If you lay your hand on a girl, any girl, I will not hesitate to leave you standing here by yourself." She waited until his eyes met hers, and she leaned up to kiss him. "Let's go." Nothing was worth that, not even Haley Brooks.
