AN: IKR. Another update and it's barely been a week. I was really bored last night and wrote a whole other chapter for you people.

By the way, this is so much longer than any other chapter I've written so far. So all of you people that are like, "Make longer chapters", you better be satisfied.

Enjoy you lovely people. :D

I push Maia away in repulsion and give her a side glare.

"Okay, stop reminding me. All I need you to do is to call Jordan and we'll be fine. He knows how to get people back together, right?"

Maia rolls her eyes and stares at her fingernails.

"Well, sure. You could've just told me that over the phone instead of getting me to drag my lazy ass all the way over here."

I close my eyes and take a deep breath through my nose.

"Whatever, Maia. I need you to go. Bye."

I push her out the door and slam it in her face, before turning around to lock the deadbolt.

God. This is why I don't like involving my exes in my shit. They don't understand that I really don't want to hook up with them again. At least Maia was more understanding than Kaelie. At the thought of that whore, I shudder and shake my head, ridding my head of the memories.

-Jordyn P.O.V- (YAAAAAS)

I sit cross-legged, across form Charlie, playing with the zipper on my leather jacket. Charlie is staring at me, her big golden-brown eyes meeting mine.

"Jordyn?"

"Yeah?"

"Can I ask you a question?"

I shrug.

"Sure, Charlie. What's up with you?"

She seems to hesitate a little bit before she speaks.

"Do you believe Mom? I mean, we have not reason not to, but she's been really... really stressed. I don't know. She seemed really nervous when I asked her the question."

I stop to think about it for a little while. Mom hasn't been completely okay ever since Dad left.

Dad.

Ugh.

I begin to hate him even more every time that I see Mom. It's not like I want to hate him. It's just that what he does to Mom makes me incredibly mad. I know that Charlotte hates it to. She just won't share her angry thoughts about it with anyone.

"Hey Charlie?"

"Hmm?" Charlie's attention snaps to me, taking it away from her shirt.

"Do you hate Dad? Even just a little bit?"

I brace myself for her reaction, but it's not what I expect, especially from my sister.

Charlotte snorts, incredibly unladylike of her, and chuckles.

"Of course I do. I don't know what's up with him. But he's stupid. Honestly. It annoys me how much he's killing Mom on the inside."

I'm taken aback by her reaction and laugh with her as well.

Huh. I guess my sister and I are a lot more alike than I realized.

Huh.

Oh God, I love her.

-Clary P.O.V-

I run a hand through my hair. You know, the hair that I haven't cut since he left. You know, the hair that has grow WAY too long.

I read the text from Jace.

Clary,

I really need to talk to you. And not over the phone. Though I'm doing it right now.

God I'm a hypocrite.

A dumb ass hypocrite at that.

Okay.

Let me start again.

Clary,

We need to talk. Like, today. Like, now. I mean, it's about, uh, important stuff. Yeah.

Jace

Okay, you know what? This isn't working. And I don't feel like deleting all of this shit.

Let's start again, shall we?

Clary.

I need you. I also need to talk to you. Meet me in my hotel room later today. Please. Come when you're ready.

I love you. Don't ever forget that.

-J

I sigh and turn off my phone, before shoving it in my bag.

"Charlie! Jordyn!"

"Mom?!" they yell back from the living room.

"I'll be back in a little while. I'm heading out to go see your dad. I'll call Nana on my way there, okay? Bye, babies. Remember: don't open the door for anyone unless it's your grandma. She does the special knock okay?"

"Yes, Mom!" they sound bored. I've told them this at least 10 times in the past 3 weeks.

I chuckle.

"Okay, sweethearts. I'll be back in an hour."

"Bye, Mom!" they yell again.

I open the front door and head to my car. I'm ready. Kind of. Not really. Yeah, no.

I knock on the door of Jace's hotel room, taking deep, slow breaths.

"Come in!"

I open the door, my belly hitting it first.

God dammit.

"Clary?" Jace says softly, turning backwards slowly. My breath hitches in my throat. I forgot how beautiful he was. His golden hair is messed up in the most adorable way and his eyes. God, his eyes. They're like liquid pools of honey. They're definitely lighter than the twins' but still just as intense.

"Oh my God," I whisper. Now I remember why I fell for him in the first place.

"Hey, baby," he breathes. His large arms surround my torso protectively. I stiffen for a moment and then relax into his warm familiar grip.

"Hi," I throw a small smile up at him.

"What's going on?"

"Nothing much," I breathe out.

"How's the baby?"

I unconsciously rub my stomach and smile.

"He's getting better. We had a little bump in the road, but he's fine."

"Decided on any names yet?"

"I like the name Jack. I really like the name Jack."

He grins.

"As do I."

"I have to consult the girls, though. I promised them that they'd have a choice in picking out the names as well."

Jace nods.

"How are they, by the way?"

"They're... stressed. Their grades have been dropping. They're working hard to right them but it's taking a toll on them," I sniff.

Jace suddenly has concern reflecting in his eyes.

"You can't help them with it?"

I shake my head.

"I get migraines really easily now. You were usually the one to help them with their homework but..." I look at my feet, shifting them slightly.

He groans.

"Shit. I have to come back. That's, as long as, they don't mind, right?"

I shrug.

"Jordyn, especially, has been having a little bit of trouble accepting the fact that you're not here. Charlotte is sulking in her own little world. It's been hard on them."

He sniffs as well, running a hand through his, already tousled, hair.

"I'm coming back with you. I can't just stay here. Let's go."

All of a sudden, I'm pulling into my driveway, Jace's aura basically just lighting up my car. The girls are not going to like this.

"Girls! I'm home!"

"Mom!" Charlotte comes running up to me, her small hands surrounding my waist. Then, as per usual, she kisses my belly and whispers things to the baby.

"Mom!" I hear Jordyn's voice come towards me, a lot slower than Charlie's voice did.

"Hey-" she stops short when she sees Jace behind me. Her golden eyes flash with hurt before they narrow defensively. Her hands are shoved into her pockets and she bites savagely on her lower lip.

"What is he doing here?"

"Hey, honey," he smiles brightly.

"Get him away from me!"

She runs up the stairs, her combat boots making loud clicks on the floor. Jace looks crestfallen. I pat him on the shoulder.

At her sister's words, Charlotte backs away from my stomach, stiffening all of a sudden.

"Why is he here, Mom?" She completely disregards her father.

"He's here so you guys can get help with your homework," I beam. "Isn't that great?!"

My first born daughter's eyes dart to her father's, giving him a quick judgmental once over, a habit that she obviously picked up from her sister.

"No," she spits out. She turns on her heel, her long blonde hair swishing behind her as she walks up the stairs.
