"So all we have to do is separate Darien and Serena right?" Rei asked hopeful.
"That shouldn't be so hard, I mean they totally hated each other before Serena's accident" Lita said with a scoff
"I wouldn't be so confident" Ami stated. "I bet he's had a thing for Serena since they met"
"I double that bet" I said
"I'm totally betting with Lita" Rei said with a smirk.
"Losers pay for a day of shopping including lunch?" I said with an evil grin.
"DEAL!" all three girls bawled.
So glad my solo missions have come to an end.

Chapter 15
Darien's POV
My hands searched the wall adjacent to the burning fireplace. It's been years since I was on my hands and knees searching for that secret passage I once used to sneak out of my room. Feeling the line of entry I placed both hands on the wall and pushed the bricks that would allow the wall to open.
I slowly crawled in the small opening, when once the door way was so big that I did not even have to be on my hands and knees. The passage was dark and could not be seen, though I did remember I hardly snuck out this late at night let alone all by myself. Crawling back out of the passage I took a small oil lantern and lit it up and again made my way into the opening. I crawled through the small passage remembering that once I hit the main passageways I would be able to stand but it seemed further than I realised.
I moved the cobwebs that were strewn through the passageway with my hands as I squinted into the darkness hoping to see the main passageway. I lifted my oil lamp and saw the nearing edge of the passageway I was in. I let out a sigh of relief. Once I reached the end I put down my lamp and stretched my limbs. I gave another sigh and moved forward into the dim lit space filled with several openings.
Through the years I was able to memorise all the secret passages the palace had. Growing up as an only child I had a lot of time on my hands and was quiet lonely at some point so I made use of my time by exploring the palace. I never would have guessed the next time I would be using these passages was to sneak out to see a girl. My lips quirked upwards at my thoughts as I pictured pink lips, long silver hair and skin as white as snow. My hands itched to run my fingers through her silver locks and I ached to feel my lips on hers. I found the love of my life and it breaks my heart to have to sneak out just to see her. I gave out a groan as I realised I had taken a wrong turn. Turning back where I had came from I slowly made my way double checking my directions, I guess I haven't got them memorised as well as I had thought.
Taking the last turn I spotted the exit I was looking for. The door would lead me straight in to the palaces garden through the back where I needed to be. As I pushed the wall to open I slowly ducked my head down and peeked outside, what I saw had me shuffling backwards in surprise.
"So Endymion, where are you off to this late at night?" I gave out a defeated sigh as I stepped out of the passage and into the green clearing surrounding the back of the palace. I dusted off my clothes as I stared at my silvery haired friend.
"Just out for a midnight stroll" I said casually brushing the ebony locks off my face.
"Using the secret passages?" he inquired raising his silver eyebrow.
"I was feeling rather adventurous, so I thought I'd go through the tunnels for old times sake" I said with a shrug of my shoulders. I watched as my friend gave out and irritated sigh.
"Endymion, do you think of me a fool?" He asked. I ignored his words as I began to walk towards the forest.
"Endymion!" he yelled as he stomped behind me. I felt his hand on my shoulder as he roughly turned me around to face him.
"What you're doing is foolish, no good will come from this" I looked straight into his silver eyes, concern etched on his face. I swatted away his arm on my shoulder.
"And what gives you the right to call your Prince foolish Kunzite?" I said grabbing the lapels of his shirt and shoving him hard against the palace wall.
"What I do with my life does not concern you," I spat as I narrowed my eyes at him. I felt another hand on my shoulder. My head abruptly turned on contact and was met with dark blue eyes. I again swatted the arm on my shoulder as I released my hold on Kunzite and stepped back. It was then I realised I was in the midst of all four of my Generals.
"I'm assuming you've been watching me all this time?" I asked with a scoff
"Like you could ever hide anything from us" Jadeite said with a shake of his head.
"Endymion, please listen to reason. Yes you are our Prince, and our loyalties lie with you, but we are also your friends. What you're doing will only cause trouble" I heard Zoicite say. He was always our voice of reason. But there was no reasoning when it came to love. I kept my affair a secret from them in hopes that by doing so they would not have to suffer through any punishment that would fore come if my affair was found out. Yet for some reason I knew no matter how hard I tried I could never really keep anything from them. The fact that they were with me twenty four seven probably had something to do with that.
"You could have any girl you want yet you choose some … some floozy on the moon? I mean come on, is the sex that good that you must cross space to get some?" Jadeite scoffed. I grit my teeth at his words, I wanted to punch him in the face. I knew what they were doing and it wasn't going to work. They want me riled up so I would 'spill the beans', is what my Serenity would say. I turned my backs on them and again started pacing towards the forest.
"Must you be so stubborn Endymion?" I heard Nephrite call out.
"You could at least share her with us if she's that good, I mean you can't marry her anyway right?" I held back the burning rage I felt at Nephrite's words. They definitely knew which buttons to push. I turned my body around to face them.
"That's enough, leave me at once" I said sternly. I watched as four men stood their ground not moving an inch.
"You give us no choice Endymion. Your actions are putting you and everyone on Earth in jeopardy. If you do not stop this affair I will take actions in my own hands, and I will not fear what punishment lies ahead" Kunzite said as his eyes bore into mine proving how serious he was.
"And what actions might that be?" I said nonchalantly. I can't let them find out how deep my feelings were for this supposed person that they think I'm having an affair with. True, I was having an affair but if they knew it was the Princess of the Moon that would make things worst, a lot worst. The less they knew the better.
"I will have no choice but to eliminate what has caused you to be this foolish. And I would gladly do it with my own hands and watch her bleed to death" I saw red. In all but three seconds I had Kunzite wedged in between the palace wall and I, my sword at his throat as blood started trickling down from his neck. I felt hands and arms on my upper body as the rest of my guard's tried to pry me off Kunzite. But I stood rock solid not moving an inch. I let out a blast of golden energy out my body as it sent my three guards flying.
"You touch a hair on her body and I'll kill you" I said with such venom. I froze. I felt her before I even saw her. I turned as a bright light engulfed my Generals and I. Using my arm I covered my eyes from the ray of light. I swore under my breath as I let Kunzite go and paced slowly towards the bright silver light.
Slowly the light dissipated to a bearable shine that I was able to open my eyes. I let my arm that was shielding my eyes fall to my side. I looked around at my Generals who abruptly stood off the ground when the light softened. They surrounded me for protection as they took out their swords.
"Hold your ground" I yelled, but was heard through deaf ears. And then in an instant the light disappeared as five bodies appeared. On instinct my Generals including Kunzite charged at the trespassers. I watched as a flurry of coloured skirts charged back, swords in hand.
"You're a women?" Jadeite whispered as his complete eye sight regained.
"Yeah and what of it, make a move and I'll burn you" replied the woman in a red skirt.
"Stand down" I yelled again, this time it was laced with authority they would not be able to disobey.
"Endy" I stilled at the sound of her voice. She slowly tried to step out from behind her four guards when the woman in an orange skirt placed her hand out blocking her. I sucked in a breath as we laid eyes on each other. She was luminous in the moonlight. Beautiful as the day we first met. Without breaking our eye contact I slowly made my way to her placing my hand on Kunzite and Jadeite's arms lowering their swords.
She pushed away the arm blocking her as she ran straight into my welcoming arms. I closed my eyes at the contact and inhaled her scent that I missed so much. I felt her fingers dig in my shirt as she gripped on to me. She had missed me as much as I had missed her. I laid my cheek on the top of her head lost in the moment.
"You've got to be kidding me" Kunzite's voice brought me back down from where ever I was. I slowly placed my hands on my loves shoulder as we laid eyes once again.
"My lady, may I introduce to you my four Generals" I said gesturing with my hands at the four men with their mouths agape. She let her grip fall from my shirt as she curtsied.
"It's an honour to meet you all. Endymion has told me so much about you. I am sorry for this unwelcome visit. Please forgive us. These are my four guards" Serenity said as she mimicked my actions.
"Are you not going to introduce us to your pretty boy Seren?" The blonde hair, blue eyed, orange wearing skirt said with a smirk. I watched as Serenity abruptly turned and stared daggers at her. Blondie stepped up and faced my four Generals.
"I am Mina, Princess of Venus and leader of the Sailor Scouts. We are the protectors of Princess Serenity of the Moon Kingdom and the Imperium Silver Crystal. Touch our Princess and I'll make sure you die a death …"
"You must be Serenity's cousin" I asked cutting her off before my Generals pull out their swords again.
"Yes I am, and you must be Prince Endymion of Earth" She replied as she narrowed her eyes at me.
"It is nice to finally meet you all" I said giving them a warm smile. I looked down at Serenity. I wrapped my arms tighter around her body making her look up at me.
"What brought you down here my love?" I asked softly as I cupped her cheek.
"I felt your worry, panic and … your anger" She replied as she slowly turned her head towards my Generals. I groaned internally as I remembered about the link. She slowly untangled herself from me as she walked towards my Generals, her guardians moving with her.
"I know what you must all be thinking" She started.
"I had gone through the same thing with my guards. They at one point forbid me to see him" she turned to face me with a small smile and she looked down tears brimming her eyes at her next words.
"And it tore both of us apart. I can only say to you what I said to them and I hope you too will be able to understand. Please believe me when I say that Endymion and I have fallen in love. So deep in love that he is my reason for living, he is the breath I take, the sun that warms my heart. We know of our duty and wish nothing but to carry it out. But please understand we are only following the duty of our hearts"
I watched Kunzite stare at my beloved, his brows creased lips set in a grim line. Serenity always did have a way with words especially when it came from the heart. I wanted to see what Kunzite's next move would be. I wouldn't be surprised if my beloved was able to put a kink in his inner armour.
"Dear Princess, I do believe your love is true, but does is not bother you that War is eminent if you are discovered. Your people along with ours will suffer from the consequences of both your actions"
I watched my beloved hang her head in shame. I took steps towards her when blondie in orange put out her arm to stop me.
"I fear it every day," she whispered looking up at Kunzite.
"My love and my need for him makes it possible to face those fears every day. As long I know he loves me I can stand up to those who may oppose us. I have faith in my people and yours, that one day we will be able to understand each other the way Endy and I have. If the day comes that I may have to choose between the love of my life and my people, it is my people that I will choose and so will Endy. We have not forgotten our duty, but we will not let our duty define our lives. So allow us the time we have together for it may lead to Peace instead of War"
I folded my arms in front of my chest as I grinned internally. Listening to my beloved's words brought out such pride in me. She will make a fine Queen one day. And I hope when that day comes, I would be the King standing by her side.
My four Generals stood still as they contemplated her words. I watched as Kunzite let out a defeated sigh as he fell to his knees followed by Nephrite, Zoicite and Jadeite.
"You will make a fine Queen one day Princess" Zoicite said
"It will be an honour to serve you as we serve our Prince" Nephrite followed
"I hope to find a woman who'll love me as fiercely as you love our Prince" Jadeite said as he eyed Serenity's raven haired guard who flipped her nose in the air at the eye contact. I shook my head disgracefully at my child hood friend as Serenity giggled.
"Your words has touched us Princess" Kunzite began "But as lead guard to his majesty, I must inform you that if this affair is to happen I must then offer my services"
"And by offer, you mean they have no choice in the matter, correct?" Blondie said as she looked at Kunzite with a smirk and a hint of understanding.
"I believe you have made the same offer to your Princess?" Kunzite said returning Blondie's smirk.
"Matter of fact I have" she said with a wink. I watched as the tall brunette elbowed blondie as the rest of the ladies giggled at something obviously not known to me.
"Thank you" I stated.
"To all of you"
END DREAM
I sat up abruptly; the tingling sensation on the back of my neck had woken me up. I squinted my eyes as I searched my room. My protective instincts were always spot on and right at that moment I knew someone was in my home. I slowly and quietly got off my bed and headed towards my bedroom door, which was closed. I stood next to the door with my back to the wall listening. Super hearing was quiet handy. I stood stiff and silent as I heard the shuffling of clothes and feet come closer. By the sounds of their feet I knew there were two intruders. One set of feet lighter than the other meaning one was female and the other male. It took me a while to distinguish sounds but it was well worth the practice.
I watched my doorknob as it slowly turned. My plan was to stay still observe, find their identity and then attack if need be. I held my breath as the door opened.
"Is he in there?" the female voice whispered.
"No he's not" the male voice replied. A sudden feeling of familiarity washed over me at the sound of the male's voice.
The woman let out an irritated sigh.
"Amy said he's studying to be a doctor, maybe he's doing clinicals or interning or whatever it is it's called" my eyes grew wide as Amy's name was announced.
"I told you we should have approached him during the day" the female continued.
"Yes coz with his temper, telling him that he is to stay away from Serena in a public place would do our cause wonders" the male argued. Stay away from Serena? Who the hell are these two? And how do they know Serena. And why would they want me stay away from her. They didn't sound like Negaverse scum, and for some unknown reason I don't sense any hidden threats in their conversations. Letting them talk on would be a better strategy for the time being.
"Yes I remember his temper, and I also remember how over protective he was when it concerned her. I would have obviously told him the dangers before revealing the best possible way of keeping her away from harm" the female argued back. Serena's in danger? My heart pounded as my fists clenched in to balls.
"Men, I don't understand why you don't think these things through"
"That's because women are such remarkable manipulators that's why we men don't need to think these things through" the male voice replied, sarcasm evident in his tone of voice. I heard a sound, and I assumed it was the woman punching the man on the arm.
"Ouch, why must you resort to violence love when there's an empty bed right here" my back straightened at his words. This can not be happening. Again another punch, and by the sound of it, it was definitely harder.
"So not the time Kunzite!" the girl bellowed. Kunzite? That was definitely the name of the silver haired General in my dream.
"Those two idiot royals already shared two very passionate kisses"
"Two?"
"Yeah they hooked up this morning"
"Are you hundred per cent sure this kind of intimacy will awaken their memories?"
"Yes, and by the feeling of the first one I'm a hundred per cent sure they've already gained some"
"But then shouldn't that mean that they …"
"No. They wont have gained enough to remember who they are and what they were. The memories could come in all sorts of forms, dreams more likely and sometimes a feeling of déjà vu." Dreams? I heard the woman sigh.
"I hate to say this, but that accident was the best thing that could have happened to Serena. Her not remembering who she is what power she holds is the perfect cover up. Yet it saddens me that I have to tear her apart from the one thing she has ever loved more than life itself. The last time the Scouts and I tried back in the Moon Kingdom it tore her up, I'm hoping she hasn't regained those feelings yet" Images suddenly flashed before my eyes; Serena with long silver hair, us embracing, kissing, flowers of silver and gold, a blue and green orb hanging above the sky. Pain radiated out of my temples as I fell to my knees creating a loud thud.
I suddenly realised my body was engulfed with a golden light. Again images flashed before my eyes; bodies of soldiers all over the ground, blood and dirt on my hands and clothes, a glow of burning light from afar, Serena with her silver hair flowing behind her as she ran towards me tears in her eyes as she holds out her arms in reach of me. It was then I felt a hand on my shoulder and out of impulse something pulsed out of my body throwing the bodies in front of me across the room. The pain in my temples subsided as I fell completely to the floor, consciousness fading, and then it was black.

I slowly blinked my heavy eyelids open. I sat up and placed my palms on my temples. My head was killing me; this was the worst hangover I have ever had. Wait. I didn't even drink last night. Images again started flashing before my eyes; Serena and her silver hair surrounding us as we laid down holding each other, her with hooded eyes as she laid bare beneath me, the both of us bare embracing before a familiar rug and fireplace.
"You should really be careful with which memories you choose to remember" the voice brought the images to a halt. I slowly moved my head to where the voice came from fearing the migraine the images had caused.
"Here" a familiar blonde haired blue eyed said as she gave a cold glass of water and two paracetamol tablets.
"Who are you?" I asked taking the glass and much needed medication from her.
"We'll explain when your not so … uhhh excited" she said as she smirked at me. I stared up the woman in my room with creased eyebrows.
"We?" I asked throwing in the tablets in my mouth as I gulped it down with water.
"Artemis, Kunzite and I" she replied. Finishing the glass of water I placed the glass on my bed side table and threw my legs over to stand up.
"Look, I don't know who you are or what you want from me or how you know me, but if I don't get answers from you right now I'm going to have to hurt you" I watched as the blonde took a step back and took a defensive stance.
"That temper of yours sure hasn't changed" the blonde scoffed.
"You see, those kind of comments that I don't understand fuels that temper" I said taking an offensive stance. Minutes passed as blondie and I stared at each other, waiting for someone to make a move. When a sound was heard we both darted out eyes to where the sound came from still holding our positions.
"Mina?" a voice said.
"In here" she yelled back. I was glad that I was standing in a position where I was able to keep an eye on blondie and the doorway leading out of my room. I moved my eyesight back and forth from blondie and the doorway, she was also doing the same. As the figure came into view a man with long silver hair stood before me. Images of him and I flashed before my eyes; him and I as young boys playing in the woods laughing, sword fighting, training, racing. I dropped my stance as I looked at the man before me with dazed eyes.
"Will you two ever play nice?" he said.
"Kunzite" as the name left my mouth I watched as the man dropped to his knees and bowed his head.
"Why is he doing that" I asked blondie as I pointed to the kneeling man. I watched as she sighed and dropped her head.
"I can't believe you haven't pieced it all together yet" She said.
"Can someone please explain what the hell is going on here!" I said throwing my hands in the air. Kunzite suddenly stood and paced towards me.
"You are the reincarnation of Prince Endymion, the crowned Prince of Earth"
AN: A belated Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to everyone ! Hoping everyone had a safe and fun holiday ! Was rather concerned with the last chapter, I've never gotten such small group of reviews. Please let me know what's on your mind what you like or you don't like about whats going on with the story. It'll help me alot! I was planning to upload this chap before Christmas but decided to keep on writing til i hit 4k words. I've decided to extend my chaps again to 4k words. Hope this pleases everyone. Anyway I have VERY GOOD NEWS .. I have finished my course and have put my studies on hold for this year to prep my son (who has autism) for school next year ! I know, I still have a full plate but the time I used to study will now be used to write! So this story will be completed and I might even add another story soon.
