Apryl pulled up to the scene of the crime, police tape was around the crime scene and the Raccoon City police officers were talking to citizens and keeping the away from the scene. Apryl & Josh stepped out of the car and walked over to the crime scene, going under the tape and over to Police Officer Marvin Branagh, Marvin was a respected officer, he was nice to both Apryl and Josh when they first arrived and goes out of his way to help other officers and make them feel comfortable.
Josh surveyed the body, a mix of human and animal bites all over the body of a young blonde girl. Her clothes stained with blood and chunks of her skin missing, revealing bones and ripped muscles.
"this happened over an hour ago, no witnesses and no trail from the attackers, no leads but pretty sure its the same bastards of those other Cannibal cases" Marvin informed the 2 S.T.A.R.S officers.
Josh continue to look around, this was the first cannibal attack he had been to in person, the scene was alot worst than what he pictured in his head while reading all the cases.
what a scene! ugh, who would do such a thing, wild animals i understand, but human people, real people are eating other for food? for fun? because their fucking crazy!
"Josh?" Apryl said smoothly snapping Josh out his thoughts, he looked at her and noticed the worried look on her face.
"are you okay?"
Josh nodded, still rendered speechless after seeing the destruction the Cannibals had caused, getting lost in his thoughts again.
She was somebodies daughter, somebodies friend, somebodies classmate, even somebodies girlfriend! not anymore because of peoples stupid actions!
Josh was once again snapped out of his thoughts when Apryls phone began to ring, She reached into her pocket of her pants and pulled out her phone answering it
"Apryl...Yes sir...Okay sir...We will be there...Leaving now...Bye"
Apryl took the phone away from her ear and slipped it back into her pocket, she looked at Josh and informed him on what was happening
"Chief Irons wants us back at the station, wants an update on this latest case and wants to speak to you about your latest mission"
The mission, the stupid mission Josh never wanted to do, but Chief Irons insisted he do it. Josh remembers getting the mission, he sat in a leather chair in Irons office, all around were animal heads from his hunting days, every time he stepped into his office a wave of creepiness swarmed through his body. As he sat in the leather chair, Irons was flipping through a file and taking drags of a smoke, it felt like forever before he passed the document over. the document had basically every detail about the the girl documented, her eyes, her hair, her blood type, details of her birth and what she has done since then. The mission involved dating a this girl and getting as much information on her as possible, Irons believed she was working for umbrella doing some illegal things within the corporation. The worst part for Josh was looking at the picture of the girl, the short, brown haired girl, slim and always wearing a headband. He knew her as Shauna's sister. his heart dropped into a million pieces. Josh was in love with Shauna, she was his high school sweat heart and the amount of failed attempts to get with her made him give up, always had a glimmer of hope that she would be his one day, but pretending to date her sister just to get information on her would be the death of the glimmer of hope! no more Shauna, no more cute babies, no more fancy wedding, nothing! But it was his job and his first go alone mission. he accepted putting his own feelings aside.

Shauna rushed up the stairs of her apartment, passing the lovely old couple that live next to her as she gets to her floor, she rushes to the door of her apartment, "room 212" she fumbles through her keys and accidentally drops them.
"Shit" she gasps, she bends over and picks them up, again fumbling through the multiple keys on her key ring until she found her apartment key, she slid it into the key hole and unlocked the door, opening it and slamming it shut as she fell into a sitting position leaning against the door.
she buried her head into her hands, she began to feel the wetness of tears slide down her face and drop into her palms
"No not now! please not now!" She yelled at herself, but there was no point, she broke into a cry. The past month had finally caught up to her.
only 30 minutes ago she was standing in a group of bystanders after the discover of young girls body, she stood there hoping to see the man she loved, who was now dating her sister. she stood there as the man she loved walked under the police tape and over to crime scene. his ragged brown hair, his rasta beaning covering the top of his head, he wore a yellow sleeveless jacket with his white S.T.A.R.S top underneath and his yellow tracksuit pants. she loved that about him, that he was always him, never changed for anyone, even for work.
why do i keep thinking about him! i had my chance and i let it go! i was stupid enough not to go after him and now his dating my sister! no! his pathetic! why would he date her when he wanted me? couldn't get the girl so date a girl that looks like her? my god what am i thinking! im a fucking mess.
she removed her hands from her face and wiped away the last of her tears away from her face with the sleeve of her pink jumper. she was in love with Josh, since the day they met in high school, still when they moved over to Raccoon City from Australia and still now, while her was dating her sister. she never understood why he was, she loved Tori very much but dating the guy your sister is in love with was a low blow!
Shauna stood up and cleared her mine, she still had to cook herself dinner and read her book before going to sleep. She smiled and walked over to her phone pressing the middle button with the number one, her answering machine.
"You have one new message" the generic female voice the answering machine used.
Shauna walked into the kitchen and started pulling out food for dinner as the answering machine continued
"Hey Shauna, its Chris, i'm at the hospital with Kaitlin she gave birth to a beautiful girl just under an hour ago, i've tried to contact Josh & Tori but none of them are answering so if you see them let them know, thank you, bye" The answering machine finished
She stood there in the kitchen, her eyes swelling up with tears, the thoughts of everything she wanted swarming her mind. She walked out of the kitchen and grabbed her keys from in front of the door, opened the door and left heading to the hospital.
