Draco's POV
Today was a typical Monday, so when I got home from work, it was already late at night.
I checked my phone to see if someone has sent me a message. Sure enough, there was one. An anonymous person sent it. I read the message anyway.
Hi, Draco, it's me, Blaise. I also have a muggle cellphone like you, I need it for my work. I got your number from a phone book. I would likely be passing by your flat, I'll try and stop by tomorrow. Now, I live in muggle London, just like you. I'm sure some wizards or witches were shocked when they saw you walk in to a muggle home. Right now, I'm working as a sales representative for a company. I enjoy my life right now. What about you? Where do you work? I'll tell you more about the wedding when I will come visit you tomorrow. Bye, Draco.
I read it, smiling to myself. I sent him my own message:
Hey, Blaise, Draco here. You know, you seem like a stalker, but in a good way. I'm glad you found out about my address. I'm looking forward to your visit tomorrow. I will be ready with some snacks on tne table for you. I am working for my own business, I am my own boss. And as everyone knows, I'm still as rich as I ever will be. I don't mean to brag, though. See you tomorrow.
It took me a few weeks to get the hang of using the phone, but I did, eventually. I enjoyed using it, actually. With all the games you can play, all the things you can discover, and all the work you can do.
I sent the message to Blaise. I watched as the screen showed message sent. I turned it off and placed it on the table beside the head of my bed.
I tucked myself in and went into a nice dreamless sleep.
Next Morning
I woke up to the sound of someone ringing the bell and a few knocking on the door downstairs. I quickly put on some clothes and ran down two flights of stairs.
I opened the door to see a surprise. Blaise was there, standing on my doorway wearing muggle clothes in 7:00 in the morning. "Draco! It's been a long time since I last saw you," he said.
I yawned, covering my mouth and held out my other hand, my palm facing Blaise. "Lower down the volume of your voice, Blaise. I was trying to sleep when you came. You sound very much like a muggle, you know."
"Yeah, since I've been with them for a long time, but I can see muggles don't have the same effects with you. You are just like good ol' Draco."
"I always will be." I yawned again and Blaise laughed. "Sorry, I had to work late at night yesterday. I feel too sleepy."
Blaise came in and closed the door. Pulling out his wand, he said, "Well you won't be now." He pointed it to my face, "Aguamenti." Before I knew it, I was drenched head to toe with cold water.
"I hate you," I said while casting a drying charm on myself.
He laughed and said in a sarcastic tone, "The feeling's mutual."
"Ok, I give up. Follow me." I led him to the couch and motioned for him to sit down. "Wait here while I change my clothes, I'll be right back in a second."
I went back to my room and did my bed. After a few minutes of considering what I was going to wear, I put on a gray shirt, black jeans, and my everyday white and green converse.
I walked to the living room. When Blaise saw me in my clothes, he smirked, "Always the proud Slytherin, I see."
"What's wrong with my clothes? This is my typical outfit," I shrugged.
"That's what I meant."
I frowned but quickly moved on the conversation. "So," I said, "would you like to drink anything? Water? Apple juice?"
"Um..." he tapped his chin, thinking, "do you have pumpkin juice?"
"Sure, they're right in the refrigerator."
"You know, I miss the old days," he told me with a wistful look in his eyes.
"Yeah, I feel the same way, that's why I have a stash of them here."
I walked to the kitchen and poured two generous amounts of pumpkin juice. I walked back to Blaise and handed him a glass.
"Cheers, man," he said, raising his glass. We clinked our glasses together and took a sip.
"So what so you want to talk about?" I asked him.
He stopped to think, looking confused, "Oh, yeah, about the wedding." He took another sip from the glass. "Wow! This taste exactly like the ones from Hogwarts."
"Because it is from Hogwarts," I replied, enjoying the taste.
"How did you get it out of there? Did you steal it or something?"
"Or something. I would never steal from Hogwarts. Well, once, I visited the school on a holiday. I was just walking around and enjoying the magnificent views when I bumped into Dumbledore. We had a chat in his office. It was a Hogsmeade day on that day so no one was there to interrupt on our discussion. At one point of the conversation, I told him I missed the food the house elves there cook. He offered for me to take some home but I declined. He insisted on some drinks but i also refused, but he really insisted so I got a monthly supply of pumpkin juice sent by Dumbledore."
"What a long story, but good one. I'm glad you helped Dumbledore, otherwise, these tasty drinks won't be here."
"Well, I'm just glad he trusts me."
"He always did. He is like a man no one can fool, he knew from the start you weren't what you seemed."
"Yeah, he is a good man."
"You know, I will visit you regularly so I can taste Hogwarts again." We both laughed.
I remembered the purpose of the wedding so I reminded Blaise of it.
"So, Blaise, about the wedding, what are the couple's names?"
"Well, Matteo and Danica. As you know, Matteo is my cousin, and Danica is my soon to be cousin-in-law."
"What about the bridesmaids? Is there someone I might know?"
"Well, the thing is, there could be a chance."
"What do you mean?"
"Well, most of Danica's friends are abroad and can't be a bridesmaid on this time of the year except for one."
"Who is it? Do I know her?"
"Tecnically, in fourth year, everyone in Hogwarts knew her. She is a French girl."
I thought for a while, thinking of that kind of person and I realized who it was, "You mean Fleur Delacour?"
"Well, almost. Fleur Weasley nee Delacour to be exact. I heard she was going to search for the people to fill in the positions of the bridesmaids and there will be a chance they will be Weasley, Granger, or someone else she knows."
We talked a bit more and I happen to have glanced at the digital clocked which said 9:25, Wednesday, meaning I have work.
I suddenly panicked which made Blaise utterly confused. I quickly packed my stuff and Blaise realized what I was doing.
"Hey, slow down there, Draco," he said, attempting to stop me.
"I'm going to be late!"
"We don't have work today, I signed up for a three day leave."
"Are you crazy? But what about me?"
"Well, you are your own boss right? Give yourself a vacation."
I stopped packing my things and settled back down on the couch."Fine, but just for three days."
"Thanks," Blaise said, smiling widely.
We talked more about the wedding. One thing that distracts me was the feeling on a chance of seeing Granger again, or should I say Hermione.
