Hermione's POV

Today is the day of the Zabini wedding. We woke up early and apparated to Danica's house to get ready. We didn't have to bring anything except for our clutches, the gowns, shoes, make-up, and other stuff are already there.

Apparently, the ceremony is going to be held in a large church (they're Catholics) near Danica's house, so it seemed fit for everyone to gather and get ready there.

The house was gorgeous. It has fair walls with large sliding glass windows around it. It was elegant. You could tell by just one glance.

Inside was much better, it looked like the Malfoy Manor, the only differences were it was smaller than the manor and much more light-filled.

Even if the owners of the house are of pureblood descent, there were a few muggle inventions found inside like the fridge, the air-conditioner, the iPhone on the kitchen table and more.

Each room in the house was assigned to a certain group.

The bride and her parents were using their own rooms, of course, which were on the first floor at the start of the hall. The groom and his parents were assigned to the two bedrooms at the end of the hall on the second floor.

The groomsmen and best man were using the room on the second floor near the groom's one. We and the maid of honor were assigned to the guest room near the toilet and the stairs.

Danica's family only paid for one-fourth of the wedding expenses which was the renting of the restaurant for the reception and the place of the ceremony.

The Zabinis paid for the rest. It was no surprise that they hired eight hair and make-up experts to attend to us, one each for Danica, her parents, Matteo, and his parents, two for us bridesmaids and maid of honor, and another two for the groomsmen and best man.

When we arrived there, it was still early so the men were still not there, which means I'll have to find out who my partner for the wedding is later on the start of the ceremony.

We all got changed into our gowns. They were royal blue colored with a few silver laces on some parts of the dress. Every one was different from the other but still strikingly beautiful.

Fleur was the first one to finish dressing up so she had her hair made first, followed by the make-up.

Ginny was next and while waiting for Fleur to finish, had her make-up made first. I was next, following Fleur (hair then make-up), then Luna, following Ginny.

I asked the stylist to make my make-up have a natural feel to it, I didn't really like anything flashy.

When she finished applying the final touches, she casted a spell on my face to avoid smudging my make-up.

I had my hair in a braided bun. A few locks of hair were hanging loosely on each side of my face. They were made a bit curly. A spell was also casted to make my hair stay in place.

After I finished with the hair and make-up, it was time to choose the shoes. The closet was full of different kinds of shoes, but they were in proper order so it was easy finding the perfect pair.

Fleur chose a peach colored pair of pumps. Ginny had on white heels. Luna wore a pair of black wedges. I chose a pair of silver heels with straps.

I looked into the mirror and I could say, I look good, along with Ginny, Luna, and Fleur.

I grabbed my silver clutch on the way out. We will be going to the church first to check for last minute touches, followed by the groomsmen and best man and the groom, seeing as they're still not ready yet.

Danica will be coming when the party will start so she won't be seen by anyone.

When we walked in, I took a quick survey of the place.

The church has a high ceiling that was painted with angels surrounding Jesus, Mary, and Joseph.

The seats were filled with guests and were almost full. The front seats were empty, reserved for us later.

I could see the altar up on the top of the four-step stairs.

Besides it was the priest's table draped with blue cloth. On the left of the altar was the podium.

I scanned the crowd and didn't see a single familiar face.

A few minutes later, I was still looking around the church when I saw a familiar figure walking towards us.

I gasped, it was Blaise, but he wasn't the one that shocked me of his presence.

I can see Draco Malfoy walking beside him.

His face was emotionless as he walked, but when you look closer, he had a tiny bit of emotion on his face: hope.

Hoping for what, I don't know, but it made me have a good feeling.

I stared at him for a moment and our eyes locked.

I smiled at him and his face lit up instantly.

When he was near enough, I immediately wrapped my arms around him.

I could feel his body grow tense under my touch. He recovered easily and hugged me back.

"Oh, Draco, I miss you so much. I thought that I would never see you again. Even when I try to forget about it, I can't. It makes me think of you more."

Draco grinned at me, "Slow down a bit, Hermione. I miss you, too. When I heard that Fleur was going to pick the bridesmaids, I was hoping you would be one of them, and it really happened."

I finally let go of him but I gripped one of his arms instead.

"I'm glad we became friends, I never regretted that day."

"Me, too, Hermione. Besides, I'm sure everyone misses me, except for Potter and Weasley, that is."

"Oh," I told him, "you and your big enough ego."

"Don't judge a book by its cover, Hermione."

"I know that. Since when have you been saying stuff like that?"

"Maybe since I have become your friend?"

"If that's the case, then I should say I have a good influence on you."

"By the way, you look beautiful today."

"Thanks, Draco," I said. He stared at me and I blushed at his gaze.

"Your welcome, Hermione," he said, smirking because he made me blush.

We talked for a bit until it was time to line up.

"I have to go, I'll see you later. Bye, Draco."

"Yeah, sure, bye Hermione."

I remembered hearing that Blaise was going to pick my partner so I looked for him.

I found him talking to his cousin, Matteo so I approached them.

"Excuse me, may I talk to Blaise for a sec?"

"Oh hi, Hermione," he exclaimed, "meet my cousin Matteo."

"Congratulations, by the way," I told him.

"Thanks, so you wanted to talk to Blaise?"

"Oh, yeah, I do," I turned to Blaise, "So who's my partner? You're the one who was assigned to pick, right?"

"Yeah, and it's Draco. Frankly, he won't be here right now if there wasn't a chance that you'll be coming."

"He came here for me?"

"Obviously. I'm pretty sure he likes you. He's changed when you became friends."

"When have you found out about that?"

"Since the middle of our last year. I noticed him acting differently so I stalked him. I found out he was infatuated with you, he didn't say it, but it looks like it.

Every time he's with you, he becomes more relaxed. I saw him being kind to you. He never does that to other girls, he's either mean or unconcerned."

"Um, ok, I guess I'll go find him now."

"Sure, but don't forget about what I just said."

I nodded and went off to find Draco, feeling very flustered.
