Apryl sat against the wall, her energy to move was gone, she couldn't open her eyes. she could hear the sound of someones footsteps and then a patter of multiple little tiny footsteps and then thats when her ears could hear the sound of gun shots and a horrible screech of a creature.
She tries to turn her head but with no moment, her stomach churns for food but a different need to feed, it worried her. She could feel herself falling asleep again, the last thing she heard before she blacked out again was the voice of Brendan.

Brendan runs over to Apryl after dispensing of the creature, It looked like a spider just 10 times it size, every bullet it took, it oozed out green liquid but it was killed easy.
"Apryl! Hang in there! we will get out of here!"
The bleeding had stopped, but she was hit from a infected creature, the fear that Apryl could turn into one of those mindless zombies in the city scared him. Her skin was going pale white like a ghost, she was heating up, probably a fever. He knew he had to get her help and fast, he leant over to pick her up but was stopped when something was pressed onto his back.
"Dont move" The person holding the gun said his a manly Russian accent.
Brendan knew this man wasn't friendly, so he did what he was told, he didn't move.
"Put your gun on the ground and turn around my friend" He ordered again
Brendan again did what he was told, placing his gun on the floor and turning around to face his attacker. his attacker looked like he was part of a special forces team, he looked like he was in his late forties and had white greyish hair.
"Who are you" he asks stepping back, his gun still pointed at Brendan
"The name is Brendan Mason, RPD...You?"
"Nikolai Zinoviev, Delta Platoon Squad B Sergeant of the Umbrella Biohazard Countermeasure Service"
"So you work for Umbrella?"
"You could say that, but i'm more of a lone wolf"
"Care to explain Sergeant?"
"well since i'm going to kill you anyway, i might as well tell you as i need to get it out of my system!"
Nikolai smirked, still with his gun pointed on Brendan's face, he continued
"The UBCS were sent in to rescue survivor of this tragic incident here, but in reality they were just expendables, so myself and a couple of other Umbrella workers and soldiers could complete our mission! Operation watch dog, gather all the information we could and send it in through a laptop, we would get a hefty pay check for our life risking mission but i had a different idea, what a pay check i would get if i got all the information and none of the other watchdogs survived" Nikolai said before being cut off by Brendan
"So your killing off your own team?"
"Basically, so i can prove how much of an asset i am to Umbrella, but i've had some problems along the way"
"Problems like?"
"I didn't expect survivors. only 3 of us out of the multiple men in our team survived, Carlos Olivera & Mikhail Victor. Carlos made things worse by bringing a stupid S.T.A.R.S member with us along our journey, so i had to fake my death sone i could continue my mission without S.T.A.R.S finding out"
"Wait! who was this S.T.A.R.S member?"
Brendan didn't know anyone else from S.T.A.R.S was still in the city beside Josh and the now dying Apryl.
"Officer Jill Valentine"
Jill is in the city! Where tho? Where could she possible be? its been days since the outbreak, it was now the 28th of September. Brendan had trailed through most of the inner city and only came across the undead, Kira and the rest of their group and the S.T.A.R.S hunter...Could she had been killed by the hunter? its a possibility but Jill was trained pretty well but at the same time so was Apryl and look at where she is now.
"She just complicated things, but i knew Umbrellas Tyrant codenamed Nemesis was programmed to kill any remaining S.T.A.R.S Members, so i left him to do his job. Then i made it here and encountered another team sent in by Umbrella. The Delta team of Umbrella Security Service, their orders to destroy any evidence that links Umbrella up to the outbreak and kill every police officer still in the city"
"guess you will be helping them out when you kill me"
Nikolai lowers his gun and walks over to Brendan, lifting his gun up and pushing the tip of the gun against Brendan's temple and frontal lobe.
"Guess your right my friend" Nikolai smirks.
"Im not your friend asshole" Brendan replies as he kicks Nikolai in the kneecap causing him to fall to the floor and let go of his gun which slides across the floor and next to Apryl's limp body. Nikolai shoots up and runs towards his gun, as he picks it up and swirls around to point his gun at Brendan, but Brendan was one step ahead of him, his gun trained on Nikolai.
Brendan smirked at Nikolai.
"i will die another day... friend"
Brendan's smirk didn't last long as rising from her slumped position was Apryl, her eyes shot open, glazed over with this cloudy white colour on her eyes, her skin was pale white. Brendan took a deep breathe and told himself he would mourn for her later, but she has given him the best distraction. Apryl walks up to Nikolai and grabs him. Nikolai lets out a yell in terror as he fights off a now undead Apryl. Brendan takes his chance and runs for the door that will starts to lead back to the main road of the hospital, he runs past Nikolai and Apryl and rips open the door, He looks back to see if Apryl had gotten to him, but to his disappointment, Nikolai had Apryl pinned down by his foot on the ground, her arms trying to reach to him and her horrible groans for flesh. Nikolai shoots a look at Brendan who is standing in the doorway watching, a smirk arises on Nikolai's face as he pulls the trigger on his gun ending Apryl's life in front of Brendan. Brendan slams the door shut and begins to run, the door behind him opens and he knows Nikolai is following him, he runs through the rooms, door and corridors. he opens the back door of the clock tower an smells the air from outside, he runs around the corner as gun shots from Nikolai fly past him, He notices Josh and Shauna walking up the steps to the Raccoon City Park but he ignores them, Whipping around and raising his 9mm towards the corner awaiting Nikolai.
