Chapter 5: Issei's death and rebirth
Taizohara residence:
"So when will you be leaving, can you at least say goodbye to Murayama before you go?" Tsukune asked Millacus
"No, I won't say goodbye, this is simply see you later, and unfortunately I don't have time to wait for her as I need to leave now. The boat leaves the dock to the organization's island in about an hour. So I'll be leaving soon. So see you later." Millacus said as he dashed towards the docks at speeds that the human eye can't track.
"It's surprising how much he's changed in the short time he's been with us. He believed he'd lost all resemblance of human thought. Just looks like he was protecting his own sanity by discarding his emotions or rather. Temporarily sealing them. He must return, no knowing him he will return after all he has too much to lose now, finally his life actually has meaning. I beat his heart is skipping in joy now." Tsukune said out loud not really to anyone just announcing it.
Docks:
"H-h-h, sorry I'm late I just needed to prepare some supplies." Issei said
"No excuses, in a stealth mission like this you don't take any supplies, as they will slow down your movement and make noise. Are you an idiot? Honestly you thoughts totally disappear if anything with breasts pass by." Raynare said biting into Issei
"Raynare cut him some slack, he's never been on a mission like this. Looks like they upgraded security due to my escape before. At least all the guards are human so getting past them will be shouldn't be too difficult, now we just need to find a slight blind spot and get to the ship. Damn, she just had to be here, though it makes sense no one else would stand a chance of detecting me." Millacus told the two in an annoyed voice.
"What are you talking about? Why would this one person jeopardize the mission?" Raynare asked.
"Yeah, no one can beat you so whoever you're talking about shouldn't give us trouble, so why are you worried." Issei added
"Issei, do you even know what a stealth mission is? Raynare the reason this person jeopardizes the mission is due to her being god-eye. Sneaking past her for any warrior is impossible. As her senses are so acute she can sense even the smallest particle of yoki in a two mile radius with no effort at all. For me getting past her without detection is possible just difficult, Issei on the other hand can't get past her as he leaks yoki like a sieve, normally that wouldn't be a problem as human have almost zero sensory abilities. However even number 47 would find him without any difficulty. However due to his weak aura they'll believe him to be a run of the mill yoma and kill him, like you would a stray devil if you encounter one." Millacus explained
"I see, that does make things difficult though do you think she can sense a fallen angel's power? If not I could take her out without killing her giving us safe passage." Raynare offered.
"Worth a try as I couldn't detect devils and fallen angels before meeting them and tuning myself in to their energy signature. So it possible the same will go for Galatea. Retreat at the first sign of her detecting your power. I would also prefer if she stays alive, but do what you have to. Remember you don't know what a warrior is so question her eyes and she'll believe you're a regular citizen. Try to make it seem that you're not showing any caution but the caution you'd show a stranger. Be warned Galatea is much stronger than you. In terms of skill she's at least high to low level ultimate-class strength. So don't engage her only a stealth strike. If you fail bolt out of there like a bat from hell. Or I can assure you you'll die also hide your wings and give her no reason for her to suspect you're not human. As all warriors are forbidden from taking human lives even in self-defense." Millacus told Raynare while making sure she's well informed of her power.
"Got it, but rather than attacking why not put a spell circle that fools her senses? Wouldn't that be better as that wouldn't alert the organization of a thing?" Raynare offered
"If you're sure it will work then go ahead, if not knock her on conscious, do which ever you believe has a higher chance of success. Just be careful she's dangerous." Millacus told her
"Relax, I hid under that Gremory and Sitri girls noses without them noticing me so it's only natural that I can do the same to this Galatea." Raynare boasted
"And you managed to fool me. Even if you did truly succeed in fooling those two. They don't have the title god's eye. Galatea is infinitively better at detecting energies than those two. So don't take her lightly and focus." Millacus told her.
Raynare took off walking towards Galatea, when she reached her Raynare asked her. "Wow, those eyes are beautiful, where did you buy those contacts. You must tell me, and that cosplay is simply the best. You're trying to cosplay as a paladin right. How do you make it seem like real armor? Who does your hair, you simply must share you secrets." While combing her hands through her hair and discreetly casting the disturbance spell on her.
"Well I do my own hair, and I won't share my secrets. After all a try cosplay expert won't share so that they can't be out done. However I may give you some tips on how to do your hair." Galatea said with a radiant smile on her face. While Raynare sent a discreet signal to Millacus to sneak aboard the ship.
Millacus having received the signal motioned to Issei and told him. "Well Raynare there certainly did a good job, however it seemed far too easy. There's no way Galatea is that air-headed but we can't take this for granted so we'll move as planned."
"Well Raynare is a good actor so fooling a warrior like her shouldn't be too difficult especially when she doesn't know of the existence of fallen angels." Issei replied with some hope in his voice.
"Maybe a less experienced one but not Galatea. She's the one the organization turns to when they need someone to gather information, meaning she's anything but naïve. However she always seems to have her own agenda. So maybe she's purposely helping me. Or leading me into a trap. Either way retreat now will cause more problems than it solves. As she without doubt has detected us. She's simply playing dumb. I can't believe I underestimated her." Millacus explained to Issei
"If she's found us wouldn't running be the best option. I mean if what you say is true we could be walking into a trap. While you may be able to walk out I don't think me or Raynare could." Issei double checked
"I already told you retreat will cause more problems than engagement. For If any of you bail now you will be hunted. The hunters that would be after you to would be far beyond your level. I would give you a week at best before they manage to take both of your heads. The safer way would be to seek her out to find out what she wants in exchange for her silence. As it's not well known but she keeps Rafaela's existence secret in exchange for some goodies Rafaela gives her." Millacus explains
"I see well then let's go then we just have to avoid the guards then. Right?" Issei asked
"Yeah, that's right. Raynare will join us soon." Millacus answered as they both snuck aboard the ship.
Galatea saw them boarding the ship and smiled. "Well if you really want to find out some of my secrets why don't you come with me as all my gear is custom made. So if you want to find some you'll have to go to the source." Galatea told Raynare.
"No need, I'll be late home so I really got to be going, will I be able to see you soon?" Raynare asked
"Why the rush, your friends are already aboard so why not join them, you honestly didn't believe you could trick me this easily girl, my title is god-eye for nothing you know. You honestly thought Millacus was joking about my capabilities didn't you. Millacus's only mistake was presuming I wasn't aware of the existence of the fallen angels. As he probably told you he's the only one that can sneak by me, but even then it's only fifty, fifty. While I only learnt of existence beyond rumor the day he left, I sometimes detected someone in the shadows, but unfortunately he was always gone before I could locate him and hide his presence better. Though sending a fallen to disrupt my senses was a stroke of genius on his behalf as warriors like us need special training to detect their energy source. He didn't count on me already been trained on it." Galatea responded
"Do you know supernatural ratings, as Millacus told me your high-class borderline ultimate-class in devil power ratings? Is he correct?" Raynare asked in fear realizing the folly in not heeding Millacus's warnings about the monster before her, and shame due to her overestimating her abilities.
"I would say that he was quite close, but I would say high-end, high-class level, I wouldn't say borderline ultimate-class as the ultimate-class devils are monsters far beyond me, but without doubt Millacus is at least ultimate-class if not Maou-class. He and Teresa are two strongest warriors that ever existed. They are known as the smiling monster and blank monster respectively. In other words monsters in human form. They effortlessly strike down the strongest of monsters without using a single drop of their strength, there speed and strength is unprecedented." Galatea said as she ushered Raynare towards the ship. Slowly towards the holding deck.
"So I was right you had detected me. I truly underestimated you, but what pray tell stops me from taking your head to keep you from loosening your lips." Millacus told her
"Simple, I knew meeting you would be dangerous unless there was preparations made. While you indeed can face the full might of the organization alone, and manage to escape you won't be able to protect these two so you'll go to silence me allowing yourself and your friends free passage, so these preparation is in the event of my death the information I have pertaining your return will reach every guard in the organization. So killing me won't be the best idea now would it. If you want me to keep my peace just do me one favor and I'll consider it even." Galatea told Millacus
"Just one favor, that's awfully cheap compared to the normal prices you ask for. Or are the rumors really that farfetched." Millacus told her.
"Oh, I haven't dropped my prices, it's just this task can't be done by anyone but you. So that makes it equal to multiple favors from others." Galatea replied
"What's your request? Tell me, and I'll decide if it's worth your silence or not." Millacus shot back
"Very well, you see Luciela is causing me some problems with some jobs I get in the south every time I almost die. I would like you to deal with her. How you do it I don't care. I'm not asking for her head. For she is an abyssal one, I doubt even you can beat her. However she still cherishes her bond with her sister, unfortunately her sister won't engage Luciela without the intent to kill, and she is far from her level. You on the other hand have a connection to Luciela's sister so you can get her to listen to you. Do this and there's no more debt and I'll provide safe passage there and back." Galatea offered
"Sorry but you're asking for too much, for what you're offering, so here's my counter offer, all you said above plus two favors which will be, one I want Teresa's body so I can give her a proper burial as complete as possible but the minimum requirements is the body and head. Two I want you to arrange a meeting with a trainee called Clare in private. I will accept nothing less for this request you offered to be quite frank it's a suicide mission you're sending me on. I also need another unmarked claymore, not for myself but for little Issei here. Also if I fall you must either send these two home or find them a safe home." Millacus told Galatea
"Normally I would turn down that counter offer. However you are the only capable of this task, and your counter offer isn't outrageous and it's easily done so I have no reason to refuse. So I guess we have a deal." Galatea said as she extended her hand.
"A deal we have, don't betray me god-eye or you'll regret it." Millacus said as he took her hand and gave it a strong shake.
"Wouldn't dream of it specter." Galatea responded
Time skip 7 hours. Organization docks
"Right now I'll begin my end of the deal here while you deal with Luciela, I recommend you stay the night in Rabona after all the organization has little to no presence there. You should be somewhat comfortable there." Galatea advised
"Isn't our kind forbidden in the holy city, after all they despise half breeds?" Millacus asked
"While that is true you forget that it's impossible for anyone but me to point you out as a warrior due to your unique suppression technique." Galatea told him
"I guess, how long will things take on your end?" Millacus asked
"Not long everything will be ready on your return. I presume you would rather the meeting between you and Clare take place somewhere away from the organization?" Galatea checked
"That's right, the Fathod village will do, it's close to the organization, but just out of there scope also send Teresa's body there." Millacus told her
"Agreed, but you know you needn't lie to me, I know the reason you want Teresa isn't for a burial you intend to revive her with one of your evil pieces don't you?" Galatea inquired
"I thought I disguised that well enough that even you couldn't detect. Very well I shall give you my true name. I am Millacus Gremory, heir to the house of Gremory, and younger brother to Sirzechs Lucifer." Millacus said introducing his true self.
"So you're the crimson Satan's little brother, that would explain why you're so strong, but why don't you wield the power of destruction like him?" Galatea asked in curiosity
"Because I was kidnapped by the organization at the age of 8 and due to the trauma of the operation I had complete amnesia only remembering my first name. So I never learnt to use magic or whatever." Millacus explained
"interesting well you better go so you can get your rest after all the battle up ahead will be difficult even if it's you. By the way I thought you would like to know that I'm number 3 now." Galatea told him.
"So is there a new number 0, or do I still hold that rank. And what happened to the previous numbers 1-5?" Millacus asked
"very well I will tell you, number 1 Teresa was killed by Priscilla, number 2 Priscilla awakened, number three Ilena is presumed dead without confirmation, number 4 Noel also killed by Priscilla, number 5 Sophia same as number 4. The current top 5 are, the black ones, Alicia and Beth, I'm number three, number four is the psycho Ophelia and finally Rafaela is number 5." Galatea told Millacus.
"I see, what a mess I guess Rubel was right Priscilla wasn't ready. I should have took her head before I left, and how in hell are you ranked above Rafaela she's way stronger than you." Millacus yelled in outrage.
"I ask myself that every day, but she doesn't complain and we don't often see combat so I guess ability doesn't come to light." Galatea answered
"Very well we'll be going now. After all I would takes four hours from here to Rabona at our pace so take these guys into the picture and were looking at eight or nine hours travel." Millacus said as he headed out with Issei and Raynare.
"Wait before you go catch." Galatea said as she tossed an unmarked claymore towards Millacus.
Time skip 7.5 hours Rabona gates.
"Not bad, not as good as I could have set alone but still not bad. Now tell me what do you think of the holy city of Rabona?" Issei asked showing one of the most impressive cities on the organization's island.
"It's quite nice old-school but nice." Issei replied.
"I haven't seen a city like this since the 14th century." Raynare said in surprise.
"Yeah, I know compared to what your used to it would be really old school what's worse is no electricity and indoor plumbing. Not to mention the food isn't anywhere near as good. Also there's a health problem due to outdated medicine. Other than that this city is just peachy. It's also one of the best city's this island has." Millacus explained as he led them to the entry gate.
"Halt, what business do you have in the holy city." Two guards asked Millacus, Raynare and Issei.
"I am a wonderer looking for a place to rest before continuing my journey, and these two are victims of a yoma attack that I came across. I checked if they were yoma or human the standard way. They proved to be human so I lead them here. You can check the credibility of my claim yourself." Millacus told the guard.
"Not quite common knowledge how to tell a human from a yoma in human form. How did you check to see if your claim is true or not?" the younger guard asked Millacus
"I simply pricked their fingers to so the color of their blood for yoma have purple blood while humans red. I know this as I've witnessed a claymore battle a yoma and paid attention to the details." Millacus replied.
"So your sharp, I still have to check for myself, but it's nice to see someone not completely frozen in fear at the mention of yoma. Most people would abandon any yoma victims for fear of the becoming yoma themselves. May I ask if you have skills with a blade?" The older guard asked.
"I would be disappointed if you didn't check as that would mean Rabona's guard is flawed. About my skills with a blade well of course I got some skill, or I would be dead long ago bandits these days are many and dangerous so one shouldn't leave a village without a weapon and knowledge on how to use said weapon." Millacus answered the guard.
"Well, a good soul, would you like to join Rabona's guard your captain material you are, since you're a good man I'll let you bring your weapons in, but I'll need to know what you have ok." The guard told Millacus.
"I was prepared to leave my weapon with you and take it upon my departure but if you'll let me keep it well all the better. The names Millacus, my companions are Raynare and Issei." Millacus told the guards introducing themselves.
"Strange names, but that's not important. I'm commander Galk of Rabona Elite guard. My friend that's in need of some manners is Sid he's a captain." The older guard introducing himself and the younger guard.
"It's great to meet you Galk, about your offer for now I must decline as I rather enjoy my wondering but maybe in year or two, but for now I can't. I hope you understand." Millacus answers
"That's fine, now can you hand over you possessions for inspection." Galk demanded.
"Of course here you go." Millacus said handing Galk the bundle on his back. Galk unbound it revealing a claymore.
"How do you have a weapon belonging to a claymore?" Galk asked in surprise.
"Remember when I said I witnessed a fight between a yoma and a claymore, well the claymore was fatally injured. Her last action was to give me her sword. That's why I use this sword in honor of her sacrifice. After all she wouldn't have been injured if she didn't take the blow that was meant for me." Millacus answered
"I see well I would do the same if I was in your situation so I suppose you've done no wrong. I will still let you hold onto the sword but please keep it wrapped up as you did before." Galk told Millacus.
"Thanks, can you recommend an inn, I've traveled quite the distance and I need to get some rest before I continue my travels." Millacus asked Galk
"Honestly all inns in this city are good, so no recommendation is required. I would also like to warn you that there's a curfew in an effect so please don't leave at night." Galk told Millacus.
"Why is there a curfew, I mean Rabona is safe so what's the need?" Millacus asked
"The curfew is in place to keep Rabona safe. You needn't worry if you are leaving at night just tell the guard that your leaving Rabona and mention my name you should be fine." Galk explained
"Thanks for your help you truly are a great man, I wish the best for you in your future endeavors." Millacus said as he went with Raynare and Issei to find an inn.
1 hour later in the inn.
"So I'm heading out tomorrow, Issei I won't stop you from coming with me, but I recommend you don't after all my opponent will be an abyssal one. In other words a Maou level monster. If you come with me I won't be held responsible for your safety. I have fought an abyssal one before so I know how powerful they are and I know where I stand with them you on the other hand haven't faced any real powerful opponent. Other than me that is, and that doesn't count as I held back against you. Raynare same warning goes to you. You're free to come along as well just your responsible for your own safety." Issei told the two.
"I'll come along but I'll keep my distance as I have no intention of fighting I just want to watch the fight to learn. As even observation can aid in increasing ones strength safely." Raynare answered.
"Very well, what about you Issei?" Millacus asks
"I'm coming along too, but unlike Raynare I'll stay by your side." Issei answers
"You two are idiots, but in the end it takes idiocy to truly get strong. Just learn to temper your idiocy with wisdom and you'll do fine. We are heading to the lands of the south right now we are in the east close to the center. It will take three days travel to get there. So better get your rest as there won't be much rest on the road. If you're not fit for travel when we are leaving I'll leave you behind, as you'll only become dead weight to the rest." Millacus told the two as he took out his sword and impaled it into the ground and slept against it.
"That doesn't look comfortable but at least he left the two beds free so we get one each." Raynare said.
"Damn it Sensei, you just had to solve the bed problem, if you didn't I would have got to sleep with Raynare." Issei said in defeat.
"Dream on I would sooner sleep on the floor than sleep with a child like you. Millacus on the other hand maybe, just not you." Raynare spat in disgust at the idea of sleeping with the pervert. At this Issei started crying at just how unfair life is.
"Morning next day.
"Listen, I'm going to need you two to finish my breakfast when it comes. You see I only eat a little and it will raise suspicion if I eat that amount as it's well known that claymore only need very little food. However it won't be me under suspicion it will be Raynare. As these days there are no more male claymores." Millacus explained
"No problem I'm starving anyway, I could eat a horse." Issei said
"I suppose I could help, if it avoids suspicion." Raynare answered
"Good, I'm glad you see my point well we leave at noon so ready yourselves and we'll leave, and Raynare in this city please hide your wings as you'd be attacked on site if they see them." Millacus said.
"I'm not stupid you know, this is a holy city of course they would attack a fallen angel on site. After all in their eyes we are the very definition of evil." Raynare rebuked.
"Raynare, if they see your wings they won't think of you as a fallen angel, but a yoma. You see they believe that devils, angels and fallen are all nothing more than tales to scare the young into acting well and not misbehaving." Millacus explained
"Oh, I see. No problem. If I may do you think it would be ok to use my abilities if I'm attacked outside of the walls?" Raynare asked.
"So long as you leave no witnesses no problem, and I don't mean Issei by that." Millacus answered
"I know, that. Sheesh what do you take me for?" Raynare responded
"It's better if I don't answer that one." Millacus says as he gets dressed.
5 hours later Rabona gate.
"Are you ready to come face to face with an abyssal?" Millacus asks.
"Yeah I am, Can't wait to fight her." Issei replies
"No way, you would die against her within the first few seconds of the encounter. Your to leave the fight to me you're only allowed to spectate got it, however any regular awakened along the way you can face just don't fight one out of my sight, for I might not notice as the only weak point I have is my sensory abilities." Millacus demanded from Issei
"Why not, you've trained me so surely I can last against this abyssal one? I mean who strong can they be?" Issei asked
"Trust me the abyssals are monsters without compare, Teresa and I are the only two warriors the organization ever had capable of facing an abyssal one on one, and lasting longer than a minute. I've fought an abyssal before and believe me she pushed me to my limits. The scary thing is that she isn't even the strongest abyssal. That honor is reserved for the silver king Isley. Trust me your no match for those monsters so you keep your distance and stick to spectating unless you want to throw your life away. Are we clear?" Millacus asked
"I hate it but we're clear, crystal clear." Issei responded
"Now then we'll be heading south towards Luciela's lands. I would like to keep a better pace than the one that took us to Rabona. So try to keep up." Millacus told the two as he shoot off.
"Damn he's fast." Issei said as he chased after Millacus
"Boys." Raynare said as she also chased after the two. Waiting to get out of sight from the Rabona guards before sprouting her wings and taking to the sky.
Time skip. End of the first day travel.
"H-h-h-h-h couldn't you have slowed down a little that's one crazy pace you kept." Issei said continuing to pant.
"I'm impressed with how well you two kept up, I'm also surprised that you're not tired at all Raynare despite keeping up, but that's probably due to wings decreasing fatigue. After all flying is easier than running. Right." Millacus checked.
"That's right but that's the fasted I can fly at currently, however if you keep pushing me like that I will get faster. Even travelling with you is intense training. I beat within a week I'll get a second pair of wings thanks to you." Raynare answered
"Fallen angels grow more wings, that's new information. Not that it matters but is that some method of measuring a fallen's strength or something." Millacus asked Raynare.
"You truly are sharp, that's right not really a secret though so there's no problem with you knowing. Anyway what are we gonna eat." Raynare asked.
"I for one am not hungry, but I was planning to have Issei hunt down some animal for your twos dinner. Not a bad idea for training don't you think." Millacus replied
"You heard the man get going, make sure you catch something big I'm starving." Raynare told Issei.
"Fine, but it may take me a while." Issei said glaring at Raynare.
"No problem you have all night." Millacus said as he impaled he sword parallel a tree. At this Issei wondered off looking for something to eat.
"How long do you think it will take him?" Raynare asked Millacus.
"Not too long, an hour tops." Millacus answered while closing his eyes.
With Issei
Man just what am I gonna get eat I'm starving. Issei thought to himself as he then saw a rabbit and decided to catch it. He drew his claymore from his back, took aim and threw his sword impaling the rabbit. Well one down a bunch to go. Issei thought to himself not knowing he was being watched.
"It's been a while since I've eaten and that human looks delectable. I guess it's my lucky day. Most humans avoid the wilds by themselves from fear that I will attack them, but why is he wielding an organization weapon? Not to matter there hasn't been a male warrior in centuries, so he can't be a warrior and he's defiantly not an awakened as he smells human. So I guess he's fair game. Even if he was a warrior I must punish him for entering my lands. After all know warrior or awakened other than sister is allowed in my lands under pain of death." A little girl hidden from the bushes said quietly to itself as it prepared to pounce.
Issei heard some rumbling from a bush and quickly went to sense yoki. Hoping to determine if it was just another rabbit or something more sinister. He paled as he sensed the yoki coming from the bush. Well I guess it's time for my first true test. At least the yoki I sensed isn't all that powerful. Meaning it should be easy to deal with. Issei pondered as he called out in a shaky voice. "Come out I know your close by hiding."
A little girl in a sundress that had long brown hair and deep brown eyes came out of the bushes and walked up to Issei. "Big brother help me a monster is going to attack me." The girl said as she continued approaching Issei only for her to find Issei's claymore at her neck.
"Don't get any closer monster. I know what you are and I don't want any trouble. I may not be strong but my friend could tear you to shreds easily yoma." Issei told her in a shaky voice as he backed off slightly.
"Oh so you're not alone I presume that the sword your holding belongs to your friend. Hmm, doesn't matter if she as nearby I would have sensed her and killed her after all I don't tolerate trespassers on my lands. So she must have ran smart girl though I must admit she trained an average human like you well if you could tell what I am with just a glance. Oh well to bad I'm you're opponent not some weak yoma, you may have stood a chance if it was just a yoma. As a reward for discovering me I'll tell you my name before killing you. MY name is Luciela, and I'll be the one to eat you today." The child told Issei I a chip voice
"You got to be kidding me I go looking for some food and I bump into an abyssal one what a joke. I may stand a chance against an awakened that was in the forties but an abyssal one. A former number one yeah I don't stand a cat's chance in hell." Issei said in a dejected tone
"Oh so you knew who I was by name. That means the warrior your with must be quite a high rank. As the organization wouldn't tell a weak warrior about me as there would be no point they would simply plan routes that avoid me. Well care to tell me the name and rank of the warrior your with cutie." Luciela asks Issei.
"My friend was actually looking for you, and you're wrong he's not a she. He's the only current male warrior that hasn't awakened. Though he did abandon the organization. His name is Millacus and he's ranked number zero. The only warrior that could ever challenge him was Teresa of the faint smile. Though I don't know what his plans with meeting you are. I know he can kick your butt in a fight. No one's stronger then him. So all I have to do is survive till he arrives." Issei yells in bravado holding the claymore at the ready.
"Quite a fool he obviously lied to you there is no number zero rank. If he was really as powerful as you speak then I would be able to sense him easily, but there's not even a hint of yoki nearby. So you're obviously been abandoned. Oh well looks like your all alone, and all mine." Luciela said as she a two tails came from out from her sundress and one of them whipped Issei and almost bisecting him a diagonal cut from his heart to his shoulder.
I couldn't even see that attack coming, man I can't die like this. What would my friends think, would they miss me? No way Motohama would laugh as would Matsudo, my parents? No they think I'm a waste of space. Millacus, he would care perhaps mourn me for a while, but he would move on, thought he would swear to keep a closer eye on his friends as he's a good guy like that. Issei thought as he reached his hand towards the cut, and raised it to his head.
"Wow, I thought that would be an instant kill, you sure are tougher than you look oh well I guess I can watch your final moments before I eat you. Consider it a reward for being a hell of a lot tougher than your average human." Luciela told him
Red just like her hair, if I truly am to die now I wish it would at least be in the embrace of someone like her. Issei thought as a paper started to glow crimson in his pocket.
"What the, what in hell's happening boy, what are you doing." Luciela hissed a little worried as this is something she's never seen before. Out of the glowing in a circle made of energy came shooting out of his pocket and Rias materialized out of it.
"Oh who summoned me, oh it you, how interesting I would have thought that brother was looking after you. Oh well if you're dying I'll pick up your life and you'll life to serve me. Though I must admit I never expected you to be killed like this." Rias said not noticing Luciela's presence, on the other hand Luciela frozen in shock having never seen anything like the event occurring before her.
"You just who are you, and how did you come out of that weird magic circle thingy?" Luciela said somewhat regaining her wit.
"OH so someone's nearby." Rias said observing her surroundings her eyes came upon Luciela and then she said. "So where you the one to kill him. If so I must ask you to leave him alone as he now belongs to me, but first allow me to introduce myself. My name is Rias Gremory also known as the crimson haired princess of ruin. I have no quarrel with you as of now, but if you insist on keeping Issei I'll have to obliterate you." Rias told Luciela.
"You obliterate me, hah that's rich. You have no idea who your messing with I can tell you're not a yoma or an awakened but you're also not some weak human. However I wonder if you know of the existence of the abyssal ones. If you do I'll have you know that I'm Luciela of the south. Normally I don't allow trespassing on my territory, but since you're obviously not from around here I'll allow you to leave. If you refuse I'll rip you to shreds." Luciela of the south said readying her tails to attack Rias.
"Oh, so you're an abyssal one, I thought brother was serious when he claimed that the abyssal ones are Maou level. But I guess he truly overestimated you. Since I know you're an awakened being I guess I should let you know what I am. You see I'm a devil." Rias said as she sprouted her wings and a crimson aura of death formed around her.
"As in the bad guys from the religion of Rabona, what a joke next you'll tell me that angels and fallen angels exist. I thought you may be a serious opponent but now I know you're just some joker." Luciela said in a mocking tone, at this Rias good angry and blasted a black ball at Luciela intentionally missing her by just a slight margin, at this Luciela eyes widened.
"So am I joke now, perhaps your little sight of magic may convince you oh and just so you know that's just the beginning of what I can do. Just hand over Issei, and there will be no need to fight." Rias told her trying to stop this from devolving into a fight.
"Sorry but no one gets away with threatening me on my own territory. I may have offered to spare you, but after that no way. I may be intrigued by your display, but my pride comes first. I will take you seriously though seeing as I can't sense your power so I have no way of gauging your true strength so I shall show you the true form and power of the abyssal of the south." Luciela said as an aura of gold exploded from around her, and her form started to change.
Meanwhile with Issei and Raynare
"What's taking that guy so long I mean how long can it take to hunt some animals?" Raynare asked in complaint.
"He's a beginner so you got to expect it will take time." Millacus said with a shrug
"Yeah, but not this long." Raynare said
"Maybe, oh a small yoki signature, looks like Issei has some company nothing he can't handle though. I would say it's just some run of the mill yoma." Millacus told Raynare.
"Can we eat it?" Raynare asked
"Well yes, but most avoid it as it tastes rather foul, and no Issei can't just avoid it as it's now hunting him." Issei told her.
"Fine, but he better bring something good with him to make up for making me wait. What the that's the signature of a high-class devil. I thought you said there were no devils here." Raynare told Millacus.
"Impossible there's no devils here let me check." Millacus said as he started to search for a devils signature. "Oh you're right but it's not just any devil looks like my sister's here, but why I told her she can't follow as she had too much jobs to do." Millacus continued. Suddenly a huge pillar of sickly yellow energy appeared about 500 meters away from Millacus and Issei.
"What is that? That thing is more powerful than anything if ever sensed before. It must be at least Maou level." Raynare said as she paled at the thought of facing such a power.
"My target, now you see why I told you to stay in Kuou. Anyway since that's the direction that Issei was in he's probably dead no I got to go save my sister. I hope that she'll last long enough for me to reach her." Millacus told Raynare as he started to dash full speed towards the pillar.
Back with Luciela and Rias.
"Now you'll see the horror that are the creatures of the abyss." Luciela said as she was now in her awakened form that's a cross between a cat and a dragon.
"My, my I honestly underestimated you. Now I see why my brother estimated you to being as powerful as he did, but I don't see some great horror all I see is a stray dog needing to be put down." Rias said as her aura multiplied as well and a snake like form of energy formed in her hands.
Just before the two were about to come to blows Luciela's head is smashed into the ground.
"Rias, what in hell are you doing here." Millacus asked Rias
"Hi bro believe it or not Issei here summoned me, so I didn't sneak here or anything. So is this that island you told me about. Wow certainly different than what you said, but certainly the monsters where as you described. I think you may have just saved my life. I'm lucky you were nearby." Rias answered
"Yes, you are I presume Issei is dead then." Millacus said
"Yes, but not for long you see I intend on making him a member of my peerage, unless you want him of course." Rias answered
"No, I think it's better if you take him I don't deserve him after letting him be killed. Just take good care of him and keep in mind that I'm training him." Millacus told Rias
"Got it." Rias answered.
"Who dares attack me like that?" Luciela roars as she picks herself up.
"Rias take Issei and run. I'll handle her." Millacus told Rias, she simply nods takes Issei and runs. The moment there gone Issei turns round to Luciela. "Listen Luciela before you go on a rampage do you mind talking to me. So can you please can you revert to your human form as I have a proposition that I think you'll find interesting.
"Who are you and how dare you speak to me like this." Luciela demanded
"My name is Millacus, ranked number zero in the organization I was given this rank so I could be kept secret, so I presume you could consider me the number one, I was trained by a private trainer unlike other warriors and my tutor was your sister Rafaela I hope that's enough to get your attention. Before I begin my proposition." Millacus asked in hope of catching her interest. A burst of power appeared around Luciela and she reverted to human form appearing before Millacus naked just as the day she was born.
"Happy now, speak or I'll kill you." Luciela demanded
"Very well, but you realize that you would have a hard time against me after all I beat Riful in a fight and she's as strong as you are, but that's beside the point. How would you like to cease being an awakened being and not have to eat humans again?" Millacus offered
"Impossible awakening is final there is no going back." Luciela returned
"I never said go back indeed after awakening you can't return to being human, however I never offering to return you to being a human." Millacus told her.
"Is that so now I'm intrigued please continue, you certainly caught my interest." Luciela motioned for Millacus to continue.
"Very well, what I'm offering is that you join my peerage, in doing so you'll cease to be an awakened being and become a devil, in becoming a devil your strength will increase and you'll no longer need to eat human flesh. While keeping all the power you now possess. The only downside is that you'll also gain the weaknesses that all devils share." Millacus explained.
"Certainly interesting but what are the weaknesses that devils have." Luciela inquired.
"Light, but no sunlight. I mean holy light and holy artifacts in general, but not fake holy artifacts I meant real ones." Millacus explained.
"I see, what about the peerage business after all no one offers such gifts for free." Luciela asked
"Quite true, in normal terms it would mean servants, but to the house of Gremory it's completely different. The house of Gremory considers there peerages as family, and it's the rank in devil society that matters. Since you would be new you would be marked as low-class, however the moment the catch wind of your true strength, you'll be offered a chance to take the promotion exam. However you'll have to study and learn about devil society to pass that after all only half of it is based on ability." Issei explained
"That sounds fine I guess normally I would just shoot down the offer, that girl you saved said she was from the house of Gremory so I presume you're related." Luciela asked.
"Yes, she's my sister, oh and our big brother is the leader of the devils and he's at least double my strength meaning he could probably beat both of us together." Millacus said with a laugh.
"You are joking right." Luciela asked in a nervous tone.
"No, he's really that strong he could easily erase this whole island with one attack as he has a certain mutation among devils that increases his powers dramatically in the future it's possible for me to grow to his level or even surpass him due to the fact right now I fight on yoki alone. If I learnt how to use my demonic power properly I could probably match my brother maybe even beat him in a fight. I'm not really interested though as I'm techniquely a stray devil seeing as I'm not a part of devil society, but I'm recognized by the Maou so I'm not a stray, but I don't have the obligations that come with being a high-class devil, I just have to follow devil law and I'm fine." Millacus explained.
"I see then why do you want a peerage?" Luciela asked.
"Simple I don't I just using it as an excuse to help a few people here you among them another is Teresa, but if you join me please know that there may be some fights in the future." Millacus answered with a shrug.
"I see, very well then I accept so how is this done." Luciela asked.
"Just lie down, and I'll do it I takes a couple of seconds that's all, oh and don't bother listening to the aria used to activate them as it means nothing to me just key words to activate them ok." Millacus answers as he summons his evil pieces. Hmm looks like I have the choice of a mutated rook or four pawns of my mutation or two mutated bishops or my queen. Hmm well rook doesn't suit her neither does bishop so I guess I have no choice but my mutated pawns. Millacus thought as he pulled the pawns from the set and placed them on Luciela they started to hover and circle her. "I order, in my name Millacus Gremory, that you, Luciela, be reborn as a Devil. You, my [Pawn], be delighted with your new life!" Millacus chanted as the pawns sink in to Luciela in flash of crimson.
"O.K. that felt weird but other than that I feel fine, but not that much different are you sure it worked?" Luciela asked
"Yes, I'm sure isn't your hunger gone?" Millacus asked.
"Wait a second yes it is, so it really worked hmm. So what now." Luciela asked
"Well let's go meet up with my sister and Issei presuming she already brought him back to life. Then I need to go talk to Galatea, I would like it if you were there for that. Afterwards I'll bring Teresa back to life and then I'll go back to Kuou you're welcome to come along, but if you do know that' you'll have to go to school as your form suggests your fifteen and al fifteen year olds need to go to school there." Millacus told her
"No problem I'll come with you to meet this Galatea, and where is Kuou?" Luciela replied
"Kuou is off of this island." Millacus answered
"Very well, then I'm definitely coming with you. I hate this island." Luciela told Millacus
"Well then let's go then." Millacus announced
"What are we forgetting something." Luciela stated pointing at herself.
"What do you mean, oh sorry wasn't paying attention to that sorry my mind was in battle state. that I completely ignored your state of undress. Do you have any spare dresses nearby so you can get dressed? Millacus asked
"Yes, the one thing that I hate about my transformation is that it rips my outfits. It's why I wear simple dresses easy to replace." Luciela told Millacus as she went to go get dressed.

Sorry for not updating for a while but I lost the internet for about a month due to the main telephone wire to my area being stolen.
Anyhow a friend of mine that was living in Syria asked me to rewrite and take over a story of his. His penname is Reaver's shadow. So I have he sent me the docx files for them so I just need to correct them and edit them then post them so I will probably do on chapter for this and one for that one.
The new story will be called black fox emperor dragon.
Now then to make Issei a devil he needed to be killed and with Raynare scared of Millacus she won't do it. So I thought that Luciela would be the perfect candidate for the deed.
