Author's Note: Sami calls Mindy "Minds" (Like Mints but with "ds" instead of "ts") in case there is any confusion.

Parker Residence... (Next Morning)

The blaring sound of an alarm went off. Sunlight bled through the curtains, the light shining directly into Sami's eyes and temporarily blinding her. She groaned and shielded her eyes from it, rolling over in her bed and pulling the covers over her head. Ugh, another merry day of education and learning at Middleton High School. The teenager rolled back over to stare at her alarm clock in annoyance before slamming her fist down on to, breaking it. Making a mental note to buy a new one, she slowly got up out of bed, not at all excited to go to school. Especially since she had a "Hit Girl" problem she had to deal with.

Out of pure curiosity, she left her room and went out to the hallway, making her way to one of their Guest Rooms. She knocked on the door, calling Mindy's name. She didn't receive an answer, so she cautiously opened the door. She heard a thud as something embedded itself into the door. Sami twisted her head to look around at the inside of the door. There was a Butterfly Knife embedded into the wood. The brunette sighed, pulling the knife out of the door. At least the brat hadn't just up and left. Then her situation would've been a hell of a lot more difficult.

Turning her attention back to said brat, she saw the blonde was sitting up. And by the looks of it, the girl was half-conscious as she groggily looked up at the brunette. Mindy turned to look at the clock on the wall before turning back to the older girl. She flopped back down on to the bed, pulling the covers over her head. She mumbled something about "five more minutes" before slipping back to sleep. Sami rolled her eyes, folded the knife up, and dropped it down on to the dresser top. She approached the end of the bed,

"C'mon Minds, we have school today."

The blonde girl moaned, "No. You have school. Not me." she slurred tiredly.

"But you're enrolled there. You made that mistake."

"I hacked the system, so I have perfect attendance. Even if I'm not there."

The brunette sighed, fingering the crème colored comforter. An idea came to mind as she had a flashback of her and Ben a couple years ago. She smiled a bit and gently pulled on the blanket. Mindy groaned and pulled back, refusing to let it leave her head. So Sami pulled harder, being careful not to use her superhuman strength. Mindy let out a grunt as the blanket slipped off of her. The blonde dug her heals into the mattress and yanked on the blanket, attempting to wrestle out of Sami's grip. Sami laughed and gave a strong tug. Mindy let out a "whoa" as the blanket slipped away from her, the force sending her face down at the foot of the bed. Mindy let out a muffled "Ow" as she just laid there. Sami chuckled and threw the blanket toward the head of the bed,

"Get up, Lazy Ass." Sami said, tapping the younger's arm.

"M tired!" Mindy protested.

"So am I, but we still got school."

Mindy let out a loud groan that resembled, in Sami's opinion, a wounded seal. The brunette rolled her blue eyes again and went back to her room. She was satisfied when she heard the sound of the dresser in the Guest Room opening and closing, indicating that Mindy was up and moving. The older girl went to her closet to get ready, apologizing to her husky, Saber when she had accidentally stepped on his tail on her way out. She wore her normal combination of a black t-shirt underneath her brown leather jacket, skinny jeans, black and white sneakers, and watch. She lazily put her hair up in a ponytail, put on a bit of black eye-liner and brushed her teeth in the bathroom before retrieving her school bag from her room.

She checked on Mindy real fast, only to see that the young blonde was not in the room. Neither was her backpack. Sami shrugged, assuming the Little Demon had already gone downstairs for breakfast. Sami knocked on Ben's door on her way downstairs, hearing a bang after she had knocked. She also heard a "Damn It" right after that. Once downstairs, she was greeted by her mother, who handed her a plate of eggs and toast and a kiss on the cheek. Sami thanked her mother and grabbed a fork. The brunette said her Good Morning to her father, who was half-asleep reading the paper at the breakfast counter.

Mindy was sitting at the Dining Room table eating a plate of breakfast as well, not making eye contact with the adopted daughter of the Parker Family. The blonde examined the raven-haired girl who wore her hair in pigtails with white ribbons. The raven also wore a black dress similar to a Boarding School uniform, black stockings under Victorian Styled boots, and saw that the girl also wore ribbons around her wrists and neck. The blonde just stared at the other, who finally turned her head to stare back,

"Vhat are you doing? Is there something on my face?" the raven-haired girl asked.

Mindy just continued to stare at the other, not uttering a word. Sami took a seat next to Mindy, looking between the two girls,

"Mindy, this is Esther. Esther this is my friend, Mindy. Esther is mine and Ben's eleven year old adopted sister from...Russia, was it?" Sami introduced.

Esther nodded and smiled, holding out a hand to Mindy, "Nice to meet you, Mindy."

Mindy just looked at the hand with a raised brow before looking up at the raven-haired girl. She then flashed Sami her best "Are you Serious?" face. She still didn't shake the girl's hand. Esther looked to Sami with a concerned look before lowering her hand. Mindy just looked at Esther warily, not sure what to make of her. She remembered Sami and Ben saying something about Esther being mischievous and how they didn't exactly trust her, but acted like they had for their parents' sake. Mindy gave the other girl another once over. So far, she had learned that this Esther girl was a year older than herself and was from Russian and dressed as though she was from the early 1900's.

Mindy didn't like her.

"Are you sure you don't want me to drive you over?" Sami asked Esther, who just nodded.

Sami gave an "Alright" and headed over to her car. She never understood why Esther preferred to take the bus instead of just riding with the rest of them. Not that Sami had a problem with that, considering the fact that she didn't exactly like Esther. The girl was just too damn suspicious. She always lied about what had happened during the day. She went to make something in the kitchen one day. It caught fire and then afterward, she told Sami's parents that she was just trying to help Ben.

Ben wasn't even home that day.

It made Sami confused, wondering why the younger girl didn't just tell the truth. Her parents weren't mad. Maybe a little, but they were more worried than angry. If Tru still lived with them she could've convinced their parents otherwise, but she was currently living at college. Sami shook her head as she started up the car, Mindy and Ben already settled in the backseat. She carefully pulled out of the driveway, but then slammed on the breaks when she had heard her mother suddenly screamed at her. Sami looked around, seeing Esther on the ground a couple inches behind the Camaro's back tire.

Sami lowered her window, "What's going on?"

"You almost hit Esther. You've got to be more careful." Bloom said, as she went over to help Esther up.

The brunette gave her mother a confused look, turning around to exchange the same look with Ben and Mindy. Ben shrugged and shook his head, not knowing what exactly to say to his sister, just as confused as she was. Mindy on the other hand was livid, her face slightly red with anger,

"She wasn't even near your car! The little bitch waited until your car was close enough and then threw herself down to the ground! I should know! I've done that hundreds of times just so Big Daddy could thrash the assholes as soon as they got out of their cars. I know a Con-Artist when I see one." Mindy exclaimed.

Sami looked at the blonde. Though she had just met Mindy, she believed her more than she had Esther, who she had known for about a month now. And, again, she was a little suspicious of the raven-haired devil. Besides, Mindy had enough balls to stab her [Sami] and just leave the evidence. If Mindy was really up to something bad, she would've done it by now. And obviously, the blonde girl had trusted her enough to stay the night and not just up and run in the middle of the night while they were all asleep.

A couple blocks away, Sami picked up Jack and Gwen, now on their way to Wawa to pick up some Lunch to take with to school. Ben had decided to go into the store with Sami, leaving Jack and Gwen alone with Mindy. Mindy looked at the red-haired girl, not getting a funny feeling with this one like she had with Esther. This girl, Gwen, actually seemed pretty nice. She asked her a couple of things, like what she liked to do for fun, and what she liked to eat. Just basic questions really.

Mindy then looked up at Jack, who sat in the passenger seat. She didn't know what to make of him. She met him that night they had all gone out on patrol, but that was as Hit Girl. He seemed nice, he said hello to her. She felt like he knew her secret identity, which would've been so not cool if Sami told him. He introduced himself but didn't make small talk. He instead read the news paper, him and Gwen exchanging words occasionally, making Mindy uncomfortable.

The blonde girl was relieved when she had seen Ben and Sami come out of Wawa and got back into the car. Sami handed Mindy the wrap and Iced Tea she had asked for before handing the rest of the bag to Jack. The blonde male rolled his news paper and tapped Sami on the head with it. She chuckled and then dropped a Half-Gallon of Iced Tea on to his lap, making him grunt,

"You're lucky my hands were there to catch it or I'd be beating you up right now." Jack said jokingly.

"Psh, yeah right." Sami replied, pulling out of the parking lot. Jack chuckled and pecked her on the cheek.

Mindy tilted her head at the two, now curious. Were they...dating? She knew they had been close, she just didn't know how close. She just hoped they weren't dating. Dating within the team was bad mojo. It could cause some serious tension. But she had remembered over-hearing Ben talking to Dick, talking about Jack and Sami's relationship. That the two had known each other since they were practically born. How that if anything had happened between them, they wouldn't let it get in the way of their relationship, team, friends, family, or...anything. Mindy nodded.

Maybe nothing would happen if they were dating.
