The Rainbow Alliance Group was a safe place for those in the LGBT+ community. It was free from threats, and a safe haven for those who are in the closet. Haruhi made sure of that. If there were difficulties within the group, it would be dealt with immediately. The brunette has counselled members of the group, and had successes. There are the rare cases of horrible things, but let us not remind ourselves of that. Today, it was a sharing day. Sharing day is a day where members tell their stories.

There were 13 students in the classroom, and 2 teachers supervising. For the first 20 minutes of the lunch hour, they ate and conversed with each other. The remaining 40 minutes are for the activities planned for the day.

Haruhi chatted with one of the members, taking bites of their lunch sushi in between words. They laughed among themselves. The brunette looked around, seeing the regular members, and very few who are new. At the 15 minute mark, two other students walked in, both wearing the big yellow dresses. They had in hand their half-eaten food.

"And then she pushed her into the pool! It was hilarious!" Haruhi's friend giggled. She was talking about something that had went wrong during a social event she held. "It was sad to see the clothes ruined, though, I don't think the finest tailor would put it back to its' finest shape." The blonde said.

"Yeah, that was kind of mean, though." Haruhi commented and ate another sushi roll.

"It is fine, Haruhi. They both laughed it off in the end. I think it made their friendship stronger." The girl wiped off the excess food with a handkerchief. Haruhi looked at the time, and clapped to gain everyone's attention.

"Alright, everyone. Let's get into a circle. We'll start off like usual." Haruhi grabbed a chair and put it down. 15 students, including herself. If they get three more, they would have a record. "First we will tell our names, our preferred pronouns, and the question of the day: Where is your favourite place on the earth?" The brunette said, "I will go first, then the person to my left, and so on." Haruhi waited until everyone was seated, and allowed that people can still eat during the meet and greet. "Okay, my name is Haruhi, my preferred pronouns are they, them. My favourite place on the earth is where my home is." Haruhi motioned for the next person to say something.

"Hello, I'm Mina, preferred pronouns are she, her. I think my favourite place is Bora Bora. It's a beautiful place." Mina said, eyes clouded with memories. Haruhi nodded, and motioned for the next person to introduce themselves.

"My name is Seiji, I prefer to go by him, his. My favourite place is Greece, I have many memories of going to visit my friends and family there." Haruhi nodded, smiling.

They met with everyone, and everyone was already finished eating. They now had a just under 30 minutes to share some stories.

"Okay, as you all know, my dad is transgender." Haruhi started, "She brings home many stories to tell to me, and I'll admit, it's funny. Just don't tell her that." The brunette laughed. "I could never ask for a better parent." Haruhi looked over to Mina, who was waiting for her turn. Haruhi nodded.

"Thanks for sharing, Haruhi. I hope my dad will one day look passed the way I am and accept me. My mother is very forgiving, and very kind. She accepted me the way I am the second I told her. She told me that she would love me until her last breath. It was very heart-warming." Mina shared, a sad smile upon her face. She looked over to Seiji, who gulped.

"Uh, my parents, they are homophobic." He started. Everyone sighed, giving him their support. "I didn't tell them yet, and I don't think I ever will. They sneer in disgust at the acts of other homosexual people, and it's just making me feel very uncomfortable- and- j-just very- I just don't know what to do!" Tears rolled down his cheeks, he quickly wiped them away with his sleeves. "If I can't be myself around those who I love, then what? I fear for rejection, I don't- know what I-I'd do…" He brought his knees to his chest and began crying out loud. Haruhi started tearing up. The short brunette stood up and placed a hand on his shoulder.

"Hey, it's okay. It's okay to cry." A few more students stood around him and they all gave him a hug. "Shh, you know what? We can talk about it after classes are done, okay?" Seiji looked up at the brunette, and nodded. He sniffled, and wiped away his tears. "Look for me, alright? I'll be in the gardens." Haruhi gave a soft squeeze to his shoulders, making a mental note to meet with him later. Other members comforted him.

A few minutes later, the next student shared their story. How they overcame their parents homophobic views. They hoped that their story touched Seiji's heart, and that Seiji would find strength in their story. Haruhi smiled.

Lunch hour was nearing its' end and everyone was finished sharing their stories. There was a few minutes left to spare, and Haruhi was getting everyone's attention for the news the brunette was going to announce.

"You all remember the petitions I had you sign?" Haruhi asked, everyone nodded, anticipative looks in their eyes. "Well, I had a lot more people sign it, and we have a total of 78 names! As it turns out, there are a lot of others not in the group who support gay rights. We're almost at 100 names! So please, encourage your friends to sign the petition, you still have your forms, right?" Everyone cheered in agreement. "Maybe by next week, I can swing by the chairman's office and ask for a gender-neutral washroom. We're so close to getting a safe place of our own." Haruhi was proud, the brunette was proud of her members, because they are going to make it happen. "Have a great afternoon guys, see you all next week." Haruhi stayed behind and straightened some of the desks. A few members also stayed back to help.

"You're a really great person, Haruhi." The brunette looked over to see Seiji helping stack the chairs. "Thanks for creating this group, and for helping me and the others." He said, a smile evident on his face.

"It's no problem, Seiji. It's amazing to know what students like us can do, right?" Haruhi laughed. They had stacked the last of the chairs and walked out of the room. "So, do you think you'll ever tell your parents?" Haruhi wondered. It was a touchy subject, but she believed that he can answer.

"I don't know, I want to."

"Then you should do it. Why spend your life cowering in fear, when you can soar?" Haruhi commented. "You're a strong person, Seiji, admitting that in front of a crowd takes courage. You're parents love you very much, they want you to be happy. Maybe telling them would change their views, because you are their child." The duo walked down the extravagant halls towards their first afternoon class. "Remember that I will always be there to help you out, too."

"Thanks, Haruhi. I think I will tell them this week." Seiji said, and Haruhi was pleased. They were unaware of the people shadowing them.

Good day, guys! I am back with another chapter. Looking back at it now, it seems more like a filler, but this was the initial way I wanted it to be earlier on, I had to. It doesn't really delve into troubles within our main heroine, but does create something spicy for our favourable Haruhi!

Anyways~ Have a great day, and reviews are encouraged!
