"You look nervous." Kia said, fixing my tie.
I asked Kia and she was more than happy to be my date, in fact I think she was too into it but she made me comfortable. When Yvonne found out I had asked her, she got all angry and demanded to know why I had asked Kia and not her. I keep saying this but... Girls are fucking confusing! I just lamely said that she was the first person it thought of. Yvonne huffed a lot after that but then got all excited about dressing me up.
I was going to tell them about what had been happening with Olivia and I but something made me stop. It seemed too private. Also, they were memories that I just wanted to have as my own. Telling anyone would somehow ruin them.
I did tell them, however, that I thought I was lesbian. Paul was there at the time as well. There was a couple of seconds of silence then he said, "I knew it!" I was aghast when Kia and Yvonne all agreed. I argued that how could they when I went out of Justin. They explained then that Justin was just a feminine boy, which I disagreed with. That started a whole argument about Justin's masculinity.p, completely veering away from the topic. When we eventually came back to it, after a lot of shouting about the fact Justin wore speedos and would moisturise his hands... They all hugged me and told me that they supported me. It felt good. Immediately after, Kia and Yvonne asked if I was attracted them. I ignored the question and rolled my eyes. I just said, "yes, I'm completely hot for you both that I want to have a threesome," as a joke. Kia said with a smile, "I'm up for that." And Yvonne agreed. This got us laughing.
Now I was sat next to a very sexy Kia, I was dressed in jeans, shirt with a black tie which matched Kia's tight skin black dress. It definitely suited her, as it hugged her curves in all the right places. God! I was sexually frustrates, lusting after one of my best friends.
"What's wrong?" Kia asked, noticing my frown.
"We might have to get close, you know, like kiss and stuff." I said, it was sneaky and totally unnecessary but I was going to release this frustration in some form, if it can't be with Olivia then Kia would have to do.
"Oh will we?" Kia whispered in my ear.
"We have to be convincing." I said with a grin.
"Well, I'll do just that." Kia said, I saw Duke and Olivia coming towards us. "Let's see if you can handle me."
I looked at Kia shocked, she was flirting with me. Kia gave a small laugh and turned away.
"Hey." Duke said, politely. "I'm Duke."
The three of them introduced themselves. There was a fire in Olivia's eyes when she introduced herself to Kia. What was that about? Maybe it was because Duke was almost drooling when he looked at her, he gave me a wink. It made me smile. Everyone thought Kia was extremely sexy, that was partly why I chose her. Not that Yvonne was sexy but Kia had a great amount of confidence to bring anyone to their knees.
"It's great to finally meet Sebastian's friends." Kia said, taking my hand and stroking it. "He usually hiding my away."
"Oh yea?" Olivia said, looking at Kia, she hadn't looked at me once. "How long have you two been dating."
"It's been a week hasn't it babe?" Kia said, turning to me with a sexy smile.
"One glorious week." I said with a smile, leaning forward and giving her a quick kiss on the cheek.
"So, when did you start going out?" Olivia asked with a frown.
"It was Sunday when you asked me out, wasn't it?" Kia asked, she was giving me a look as if to say what is her problem.
"Yeah." I said. "It's your first date isn't it?
"Aw young love." Kia said, smiling at Duke who blushed.
"Sebastian and I were here last Saturday." Olivia said, she was looking at me and I saw hurt in her eyes, what have I done now?
"Oh yea, I think we need to hang out somewhere new." I said with a laugh.
It seemed like a lifetime ago, but that Saturday was like our first date until Monique barged in and completely ruined it. It wasn't a date, I asserted, we were just chilling. Just chilling, after we passionately kissed in her room...
"Come on man, Cesario's is our place." Duke said, completely missing what Olivia had said.
"You hang out here a lot?" Kia asked Duke.
"Yeah, it's basically our spot and it's the one place where that annoying Illyria lot don't hang out."
I laughed. Kia pretended to look angry.
"Kia's at Illyria." I said, Duke looked shocked.
"I don't mind." Kia said with a laugh.
Duke and Kia then got into a conversation about their respective schools. Olivia was looking off into the distance, she looked angry. I couldn't figure out why. Then before I could look away, our eyes met and all those feelings that I had been putting a dam against came flooding into my mind. This girl had a hold of me that I couldn't shake. Those eyes, God I loved them.
"We're playing Illyria after Glennwood aren't we dude?" Duke said, I looked away and forced a smile on my face.
"Yeah, and we're going to thrash you." I said to Kia.
Kia looked at me, she could tell that there was something wrong so she put a hand on my leg to calm me down which worked until I looked at Olivia who was staring at hand with a frown. Olivia then reached out to hold Duke's hand. I looked away and thanked the waitress to enthusiastically when she came to take our order.
"You were saying something about a thrashing." Kia said, keeping the conversation up.
"Yeah I was." I said challenging. "You have to see our team babe."
"I must admit that we're pretty good." Duke said holding his hand hands up with a smile. "Romeo here has only made it better."
Kia looked at me, as if she was trying not to burst into laughter. "Romeo?"
"Our nickname for him." Duke said with a laugh.
"It's stupid." I said, I saw Olivia smiled. "What?"
It was the first smile that I had seen, but I could tell it wasn't the usual sweet smile.
"I think it's very apt." Olivia said with a shrug. "One moment he's all about Rosaline, showing how much he likes her, kissing her and stuff but out of nowhere pops out Juliet."
When she said this, she looked at Kia. I frowned. What an earth was she on about?
"I think that's a very loose reading for a work by Shakespeare." Kia replied. "Anyway, I heard that there is a party on your campus."
"Oh yea, Sebastian we should totally go there, all the guys are going." Duke said, he turned to Olivia, taking her hand. "What do you think about that?"
"I'd loved to." Olivia looked at me, then back at Duke as she kissed him on the cheek.
"What do you think?" I asked, getting close to Kia. "Can you keep up till the early hours of the morning?"
I was referring to her pretending to be my girlfriend. I didn't want to put her out. It was huge that she was even doing this date for me.
"I wouldn't miss it." Kia said.
Then landed a wet one on me. I think it was supposed to be a quick kiss on the lips but I held her there. I took her waist and pulled her close to me, deepening the kiss which she responded to. I think I surprised her when I flicked my tongue in her mouth, the way she let out a quick moan. There I was making out with one of best friends in a restaurant full of people, realising this I gave her a quick peck on the lips and back away.
Kia looked a me with a frown. To other people, it just looked like she was asking silently why I had stopped but to me it was a question to what the hell that was about.
Duke was looking at me with a smile, Olivia was staring at me with an emotion that I couldn't decipher but I was tired trying to work her out. It was better this way. Duke and her looked good together.
The food came and we made idle conversation but Olivia didn't even talk to me, as if I was invisible to her. It would have been nice evening if that wasn't happening. I missed her conversation. I missed her...
Duke and I like gentlemen paid for ourselves and our dates. Kia gave me a kiss as a thank and Olivia seemed to copy her, she didn't seem to want to kiss Duke and was only doing half-heartedly.
"Should we go to the party?" Duke said as we stood huddled outside the restaurant.
"Yeah." Kia said, taking my hand. "We're going to take a taxi because I have to go back to mine quickly."
"You do?" I frowned.
"Yes babe." She looked at me seriously.
"Ok, see you guys there." Duke said. "Shall we?"
Olivia took Duke's arm and walked off. If she looked back then she still cares, I thought silently as I watched their retreating forms. I was about to give up when she did. We stared each other, and then Olivia turned away before I could work out how she was feeling.
"Let's go." Kia said, getting into the taxi and I followed her in. "Can you just drive around for a bit?"
The taxi driver agreed.
"I thought you needed to go home?" I turned sharply towards me.
"No, you are going to explain yourself to me Viola!" Kia shouted, the taxi driver looked at me and the looked again as if he couldn't match my name to my looks but the third time he did I gave him a look which made him stop. "What is going on between you and Olivia? What was that kiss? What is going on with you? What-"
"Alright, settle down." I sighed, it would be nice if one person knew, maybe she could help me.
I told her everything that had happened between me and Olivia. The kissing, the touching, the mixed up feeling, Dukes feelings. The whole mess. For the first time, Kia didn't say anything
"Fuck that is mess." Kia whispered. "How do you feel?"
"I don't know, I like her I guess." I said with a shrug. "But I don't want to lie to her and she seems to be into Duke."
"That?" Kia shook her head. "That's a total act, I think she's doing that girl thing of trying to make you jealous."
"What? Why would she do that?" I frowned, confused again by the actions of girls.
"You know for a girl, you can be so clueless." Kia said with a laugh. "She likes you."
"No, she completely ignored me the past week." I asserted.
"It's what girls do to get the attention of people they like." Kia said with a shrug.
"That's so stupid." I said, shaking my head, I was sure that she had liked Duke. "So, she doesn't like Duke?"
"No, she's just using him to get to you." Kia said with another shrug, which annoyed me.
"He's a human being, and he really likes her." I said angrily. "Why would she do that?!"
"All is fair in love and war." Kia said with a smile.
"So, treating people like nothing is fair? That is shitty." I said. "I especially didn't expect that from Olivia, she is too sweet to treat other people like garbage."
Kia looked at me seriously. "You really like her."
"I thought I did." I said, with a sigh. "But acting like that puts me right off her."
"Viola she was desperate!" Kia defended. "Judging from the kiss you gave me back there, I'm not surprised she wants to do it again. By the way, why did you kiss me like that?"
I blushed. "I've been feeling sexually frustrated lately" I said honestly.
"Well, honey, you can take out your frustrations out on me any time." Kia said with a wink. "Back to Olivia. If she's not like that usually, then I suspect, her friends put her up to it. When one becomes desperate, they stupidly follow other people's judgement and advice.
"Maria and Danielle." I said bitterly. "Duke is going to be crushed."
"He's a big boy, he'll get over it." Kia said, "Should we go to the party now?"
"Yea." I said halfheartedly, Kia gave the taxi driver the address. "He really likes her."
I felt like a prize idiot. How didn't I see that she was trying to make me jealous? It seemed obvious now, she would only be overly friendly with Duke in my presence and it was obvious now why she wanted me to come to their date. It now seemed that I had more problems then I liked to have. I had to find a girl for Duke, who wouldn't pretend to like him, I owed him that. Try to be friends with Olivia, even though there was constant sexual tension between us. And get rid of this sexual frustration that pent up inside me. It seemed that it was there because I was trying to make up for the years of not being with girls, now I just wanted to kiss every girl in sight. God, life was complicated!
Before I knew we arrived. There was music pumping loudly out of the building, with students milling outside and couples making out in the dark alley. I saw a group of cheerleaders, Becki looked up and smiled sexily, as did several others. This was going to be interesting night...
