"We won!" Duke roared, he was... Well a little unhinged may come close. He was extremely excited, as he jumped around in the locker room.
Everyone was excited but Duke's was unparalleled compared to everyone else's. It might have something to do with the fact that his new girl was watching the match and seen him play a flawless game, where he scored twice - the second was assisted by me but Duke was too high on his cloud.
"Celebration at Cesario's!" Phillip shouted.
All the guys rushed to get ready, so they could get celebrating and see their girls or show off to their prospective girls. High school boys. It made me laugh. I was more chilled about the win because now I was focused on the Cornwall game. I had got this far. I had made it this far without being detected. I just a few more weeks and we would play against Cornwall, Illyria will win - hopefully- and it will be mission accomplished. I would leave and Sebastian would take his place here. Simple.
Although, it wasn't so simple. It was actually rather complicated. It was an absolute cluster-fuck. As I thought about it, I became depressed. I shook those thoughts and just focused on our win and nothing else.
I looked up and realised there was no one in the locker room. I quickly changed in a cubicle.
"Sebastian?" A voice said outside.
It was Becki.
"One sec." I made sure I looked alright and that my wig was fixed, taking a breath, I stepped out. Becki was sat on the bench opposite with her legs crossed and her hands to her sides, leaning back on them. Did she have to be so tantalising? Her long, tanned legs; chocolate, brown eyes; silky, long brunette hair and a body that just would not quit, in that cheerleader outfit. I groaned inwardly.
"That was a good game." Becki whispered.
"Thanks." I said slowly, leaning against the locked beside me. "I don't think your supposed to be in here."
"What? There isn't anyone getting changed." Becki retorted, she ran her eyes up and down my body slowly.
"Isn't everyone going to Cesario's?" I asked.
"Yes. I wanted to walk with you." Becki said, she stood up. "Olivia went with everyone else."
"Ok, let's go catch up with them." I said, making my way to the exit but before I was out, Becki was in front of me. "What?"
"If I hadn't left you at that party for the vodka, we would be in a completely different position." Becki said.
"Nothing would have happened." I said, getting all flushed from even the thought of it.
"Don't be too sure of that." Becki said, with a smile. "I see how you look at me."
"I don't look at you any particular way!" I denied harshly, too quickly.
"Keep thinking that." Becki said. "Let's go."
Becki walked on ahead, as I trailed silently behind her. I found myself gazing at her swaying hips and quickly averted my gaze when she looks back at me with a flirtatious smile. I blushed at being caught. I was acting like a horny teenage boy. What was wrong with me?! I dress him in male garb and I start ogling girls like one.
I looked back at Becki. It had nothing to do with the garb. I was in a state of realising my true sexuality and I wanted to experience being with a girl. Not in this disguise though but as Viola. I hated lying, it was something I detested in other people, yet here I was telling huge lies to everyone.
We got Cesario's. Becki went in but I stayed outside and looked inside at our group. The guys were fooling around and laughing, whilst the cheerleaders were grouped together, probably gossiping about something or other. These people were my friends, I really liked hanging with them on the pitch and off it. The guys playfulness and the girls chatting my ear off about some recent scandal. Then there was her. Olivia was sat in a booth with her friends, smiling and looking very happy. I had never cared for anyone as much as her. Yet, I would tell barefaced lies to her face and I was deceiving her completely. I had to stop. Lying to the others was one thing but it was different with Olivia. Strong emotions were involved but I had to end it.
Olivia looked up as if she could sense me, it was like that with us; we had some supernatural affinity for each other - we always knew when the other was present. I gave her sad smile which made her frown. Olivia started towards the exit. My chest was burning in anticipation of what I was about to do. I turned away from the glass and heaved a big breath to keep my mind level. It had to be done.
"Hey." Olivia said softly, her hand grazed my back, I stepped away from her touch which burned through my shirt.
I looked at her. I could never get over how beautiful she was, every time I saw her and looked at her it always blew my mind. I stared down at my shoes and looked anywhere but her.
"We need to break up." I whispered so softly that I hardly heard, let alone Olivia hearing me.
"What?" Olivia asked, taking a step towards me.
"We need to break up." I said clearly, looking straight at her.
There was a long moment of silence. Olivia stared into my eyes, I looked right back at her emotionless. I had to hold it together, even though it felt like I was drowning, as I stared at those blue orbs. Olivia was the first to look away, staring off into the distance.
"I think I love you." Olivia whispered.
