Chapter 16: Best Party Ever

"Alright now everything has to be perfect tomorrow," April said. She, Alex, Lexie, Meredith, and Cristina were sitting in the cafeteria going over their plans that night and the next day. "So everyone has to be perfect. And on time." She looked directly at Alex with a stern expression.

"I'll be there," Alex mumbled, feeling her gaze fixed on the side on his face.

"Ok…" Lexie warned. He rolled his eyes and sighed.

"We'll all be there on time. You happy now?"

"Very," April said while looking at her notepad.

"More party stuff?" Jackson asked as he sat between April and Alex.

"Kepner was just harassing me again about being on time," Alex complained.

"Because it's important," April said, anger and annoyance in her voice.

"It's ok," Jackson said as he rubbed her arm reassuringly. "We'll be there." April nodded and took a deep breath before looking back at her notes.

"Ok. So you two, Hunt, Sloan and Sheppard are going out to Joe's while Lexie, Meredith, Cristina, Callie, Arizona, and I are all going to Meredith's."

"Remind me again why we need three parties," Cristina said with a voice of annoyance that matched her expression.

"Because we just are," Lexie said while grabbing and gently squeezing April's hand, causing the other woman to look at her in appreciation. "We have a lot to celebrate." Lexie looked at the boys with a stern expression. "Remember to be there by four, no later, dressed and ready to go."

"We will!" Alex and Jackson exclaim in unison. "We promise!"

Mark and Derek walked into the cafeteria and saw the residents talking amongst themselves. They gave each other a knowing look, grabbing an apple and a cup of coffee each.

"Why are we having a party again?" Derek asked as he bit into his apple.

"Because parties are fun," Mark said enthusiastically. "They're exciting and relaxing and…" Derek gave him a knowing look and he sighed. "It was Kepner's idea." The two men left with their food and down the hall. "And there are three parties: one for the guys, one for the girls, and one for everybody."

"Technically, we're having two mini parties and one big party."

"Whatever." The two parted ways and went on to prep for their respective surgeries.

"Are you excited about tonight?" Derek asked as he and Lexie scrubbed in. They had a car crash victim with multiple burns and lacerations, along with a huge brain bleed.

"I'm pretty excited," Lexie responded as they made their way into the OR.

"What are you all doing?" Lexie laughed and shook her head as she got gloved.

"Wouldn't you guys like to know?" Derek smirked as he started operating. Not ten minutes later, Mark and Jackson came in. They both looked over at Lexie, who was purposely avoiding looking in their direction.

"How's it going?" Mark asked as he sat and started working on one of the burns.

"Well I stopped the bleeding," Derek said. "But as soon as I did, another one started. It's not enough to kill him, but still."

"Do you think that if we stop this one that another one will start?" Lexie asked, still ignoring Mark's occasional glances.

"I'm not sure. Let's just focus on this on for now. How's everything thing looking Dr. Sloan?"

"Just fine Dr. Shepard," Mark replied. "How's everything looking on your end Avery?"

"I'm not sure," the younger man replied, still examining the patient's leg. "I can do a skin graph for the burn, but I don't know how I wanna stick up this laceration."

"Just go with whatever feels right. You know what to do." Jackson nodded and started on his graphs. They worked in silence for ten minutes, Derek all the while not liking the tension in the room.

"Should I be concerned about what's going on at my house tonight?" Derek asked. "Little Grey?"

"Like I said Dr. Shepard," Lexie replied with a smirk. "Wouldn't you like to know?"

"I would," Mark said casually. "Six women having a party all by themselves? Who knows what could happen?" He smirked and looked over at Lexie. "Although I could probably guess." Her smirk fell and she looked back at the patient's brain.

"I'm sure you all could." Derek and Jackson shared a glance. Mark's face fell and they all went back to work.

"Joe!" Alex called as the men walked in the bar. "We need a round of shots!" Joes nodded and got the glasses ready.

"That's not the way I wanted to start my night," Jackson said.

"Dude, just sit down and enjoy." Alex walked over to the bar as the rest of the group sat at a table in the back. Alex grabbed the shots and brought them over to the table, distributing them out. The other four men looked at each other before picking up the drinks and throwing them back.

"And that's why I don't do shots," Derek said with a sour expression. "I don't see how Meredith does it."

"Me neither," Mark and Owen said with the same expression

"Ok no more shots," Jackson said. "Just get us all a beer."

"You're all a bunch of wimps," Alex said before going back to the bar for more shots. After each of them had four shots and various amounts of beer, they made their over to Mark's apartment. They were anything but quiet as they made entered the apartment.

"I'm being honest," Owen laughed as he fell back on to the couch.

"No way!" Derek exclaimed as he sat on the ground. "There's no way!

"Yes way," Mark said as he grabbed some beers from the fridge. "Hey…. How'd you find out about that anyways?"

"Torres said Lexie told her," Owen replied as he accepted his beer from Mark.

"Dude," Alex said from his place on the floor next to Jackson. "I don't need to think about her that way." He thought for a minute and laughed. "Me and Izzy did the same thing and mine didn't break!" He and the others started laughing at Mark, who sank deeper into the couch cushion with an angry pout on his face.

"It didn't break," mark said defensively. "It just fractured…."

"Face it Sloan," Jackson said. "Little Karev is way better than little Sloan." Derek and Owen laughed as Mark stood, swaying a little.

"I'll challenge you to that!" The older men looked between him and the younger ones, curious to what they'd do.

"I accept," Alex said as he stood and squared up to Mark.

"I got an idea," Jackson said. "You've both slept with Lexie, so we just call and ask who was better: Little Karev or Little Sloan."

"I'll call!" Mark and Alex exclaimed as they both reached for the phone, bumping heads and falling in the process.

"I'll do it." Jackson pulled out his phone and dialed Meredith's house number, waiting as it rang. He frowned when all he got was the voicemail. "They're all at the house right?"

"Yeah," Derek responded. "Why?"

"Because no one answered." What they all didn't know was that the girls were in fact not home, but at…

"Take it off!" April exclaimed as she was pulled out the strip club by Callie and Lexie.

"That was…" Meredith trailed off as she and Cristina followed.

"Interesting?" Cristina suggested.

"I'm just glad it's over," Arizona said as she opened the car door. The other two agreed before hoping in the back.

"April let's go," Lexie said as she and Callie tried to push her in the car.

"I don't want to," April complain.

"Just lay down on the floor," Callie said "Please…" The redhead rolled her eyes and Lexie climb in before lying on the floor in the back. Callie took a deep breath and got in the passenger seat while Arizona started the car and pulled off. They sat in silence for ten minutes.

"Why did we do that again?" Cristina asked.

"Because Kepner wanted to try something new," Meredith answered.

"Oh… Well why'd we let her do it?"

"Because she and I wanted to," Lexie answered with a glare in Cristina's direction.

"Alright but-"

"We're home!" Callie said, happily cutting off whatever insult was about to come out of Cristina's mouth. They quickly got out and went inside to the living room, April, Lexie, and Arizona sitting on the couch while Callie, Cristina, and Meredith sat around them on the floor.

"So…" Arizona said after a good twenty minutes of silence. They all thought for a minute.

"I have a question for Lexie," Cristina said.

"Yes…" Lexie said cautiously.

"You've been back for a month after spending only four months in recovery from a tragic accident."

"Yes…"

"How?"

"Cristina!" The four other women yelled.

"It's fine," Lexie said.

"No it's not," April said. "You don't just go around asking those kinds of questions. I mean-"

"April I want to answer." Lexie squeezed the other woman's hand reassuringly before looking back at Cristina. "Five months ago when the plane crashed, my seat belt kept me in my seat, preventing me from having any fatal injuries. I had a lot of broken ribs, and some heavy luggage fell. It crushed my leg and hit me in the head. I woke up a month later with a broken leg, some bandages, and no idea who or where I was. My photographic memory turned into complete memory loss. I just kept screaming. I was confused and scared. Finally, they put into a medically induced coma for a month, letting my body heal. When they took me off my meds, I didn't wake up. I spent the next month in a coma, remembering things I didn't know I could remember. I woke up, called you guys, and then spent the final month in therapy, both mental and physical."

"Lexie…" Meredith whispered. They were all staring at her, Arizona, Callie, Meredith whipping away a few tears while April was in the middle of a full on sob.

"I'm ok now. I now it seems rushed and I know I should have had more severe injuries or died, but I'm fine." They each took a turn giving Lexie a long hug, Cristina going last.

"I'm sorry," Cristina said softy. "I didn't-"

"Don't. You were just curious and I needed to explain." They all went to bed after that, Meredith and Cristina in Meredith's room, Lexie and April in their respective rooms, and Callie and Arizona slept in Jackson's room. Meanwhile at Mark's apartment…

"Are you ready to party?" Mark asked Jackson, taking a long sip of his beer.

"I was born ready," the younger man replied. Everyone else was passed out on the floor, so the two sat on the couch drinking. "What time is it?"

"One." Jackson looked at him questionably.

"One in the morning or one in the afternoon?" Mark thought for a minute then shrugged.

"I don't know. Is it important?" Jackson shrugged.

"I don't know." Jackson took a sip of his beer. "Actually, I don't care. The only one who cares is April, so I pretend for her." Mark laughed.

"Is it really worth it?" Jackson nodded and yawned.

"Whatever makes her happy, makes me happy."

"Good man Avery. Good man."

"Hey Sloan?"

"Yeah?"

"You're a great guy." Mark smirked and quirked an eyebrow at the younger man in question.

"Are you hitting on me Avery?" Jackson just smiled as he leaned back into the couch and closed his eyes.

"We'll see." Mark just shrugged and laid back, both of them falling into a deep sleep.

Meredith's alarm went off at seven, much to her and Cristina's displeasure, and she groaned as she turned it off. They both stretched and sat, looking at each other in annoyance. Meredith was the first to actually get out of bed before she made her way to the bathroom.

"Why are we up so early on our day off?" Cristina groaned.

"Because we have to eat before we get ready for tonight," Meredith said as she exited the bathroom. "Now help me wake up Callie so she can make breakfast." Cristina made an aggravated noise before getting up and following Meredith to Jackson's room.

"So they slept in Evil Spawn's old room?" Meredith nodded as she knocked on the door. "That must have been interesting." The door opened and a half awake Callie smiled at them.

"Eggs and toast sound good?" Callie asked.

"Lexie's allergic to eggs," Meredith said.

"Ok, so I'll make eggs- less pancakes." Callie threw a pillow at Arizona before making her way downstairs to the kitchen. Arizona stretched before getting up and going downstairs.

"Should we wake up Kepner and Lexie?" Cristiana said.

"No," Meredith answered. "They spent all this time planning for the party. I think they should sleep until the food's ready." They both make their way to the kitchen, sitting at the table with Arizona while Callie cooked.

"So who's getting ready first?" Callie asked as she mixed the batter.

"Well I have two bathrooms: mine and the one in the hall. So I think you and Arizona should go first, then April and Lexie, and then finally me and Cristina."

"Why do we have to go last?" Cristina whined, not that she mined anyways but still.

"Because April and Lexie will be in party planner mode, so they'll need help getting ready. Callie and Arizona are way better at helping people get dressed than we are and they'll put more effort into it." Cristina just rolled her eyes and rested her head on her hand.

"Fine…"

By two, they were all dressed and ready to go. April was still a mess with final party details, but Lexie just kept reassuring her that everything would be alright. They had a limo come pick them up so that they didn't have to take two cars. As they were walking out the door, Meredith called Derek. She wanted to simply hear his voice before things got too out of hand.

"Hello?" came Derek's sleep filled voice.

"Hey," Meredith said. "Were you taking a nap?"

"No." Yawn. "Why?" Meredith's face fell as she moved away from the rest of the group.

"Derek, it's two o'clock."

"And?" She wanted to slap him.

"Derek, it's TWO O'CLOCK." There was a long pause before the sound of Derek moving around.

"Damn it. I gotta go."

"Derek you better be on time."

"We will." Derek hung up the phone and looked at the other men: Alex and Owen were asleep on the floor while Mark and Jackson were what looked like cuddling on the couch. "GET UP!" Alex and Owen slowly started to wake up.

"What the hell?" Alex said. Derek went into the closet and found Alex and Owen's bags of stuff.

"Karev get up and get in the shower."

"What's going on?" Owen asked.

"You all need to get up right now. It's already two." Owen and Alex took a moment to process what was being said before they jumped up and grabbed their stuff. Alex went to the bathroom in the apartment while Owen grabbed the spare key to Callie and Arizona's apartment and went across the hall. Derek walked over to the couch and paused, stopping to take a picture of Mark and Jackson together. He smirked before shaking the two men.

"What?" Jackson groaned.

"What time is it?" Mark asked with a yawn. It took them a minute before they realized how close they were, causing them both to hurry over to the opposite ends of the couch in horror.

"What happened?"

"You and Mark over slept. So get up because the party starts in two hours." The other two men froze before quickly getting up and running to get their stuff. "Meredith's gonna kill me."

"Where are they?" April said as she paced. It was almost four and she was in full panic mode. They had been there for nearly an hour and had their pictures taken in a back room, where April, Lexie, Meredith, and Callie were still waiting. "I knew they were going to be late. I knew it."

"April calm down," Lexie said as she grabbed April's shoulders. "They'll be here. Technically they have five minutes before they're officially late. So relax. Breathe." The redhead nodded and took several deep breaths. She was calm. She was calm. A knock on the door made her jump.

"Sorry," Arizona said as she opened the door. "It's time for Callie and Meredith to come with me." The other four women let out a sigh of relief and Meredith and Callie put the final pieces in Lexie and April's hair before the two followed Arizona out the door.

"Ok," April said nervously. "Let's do this." She made her way towards the door, but stopped and turned back to Lexie. The brunette just stood there, frozen in place, fear on her face. April walked over and held her hands. "Hey, you can do this."

"I spent two years avoiding this," Lexie whispered, her gaze fixed on the door. "I can't…"

"Yes you can. It's just a party." Lexie looked at her, April's smile causing her to swallow and nod. April linked her arm with Lexie's as they made their way through the door.

"Dearly beloved," the minister said as the two women made their way down the aisle. "We are gathered here today to witness the union of Jackson Avery and April Kepner, as well as the union of Mark Sloan and Alexandra Grey." Jackson's breath caught in his throat as he saw April. The cotton bodice, dropped waist, sweetheart neckline, and A- line skirts with flowers on the hem dress looked amazing on her. Her hair was up with a braid going around her head and a matching veil. She was beautiful. Mark's breath didn't just catch in his throat. The man almost dropped dead. The form fitting, sweetheart neckline, ivory, mermaid dress with a crystal belt made Lexie glow. Her dark locks fell in waves over her shoulders and she a simple veil.

"Breathe," Alex and Derek whispered to the grooms as the brides walked up to them, April holding Jackson's hands and Lexie holding Mark's.

"A marriage is something not lightly gone into," the minister continues. "And it is not something easy, but with hard work and patience, it'll be worth it. The couples have written their own vows that they wish to share with us." Jackson nodded as the minister looked at him and looked at April, taking a deep breath.

"April," Jackson started. "To be honest, I never pictured myself with you. We're completely different. I believe in science and logic, while you believe in God and faith. I'm full of ambition while you're full of compassion. You go the extra mile for your patients, you always have. You've taught me about humility and been there when I needed you the most. Even if it wasn't you I was looking for, you were still there for me. I promise to love and care for you, to put away my own selfish desires and tend to your needs first, to care for you in sickness and health, and love for the rest of my life." April blinked back tears as her smile grew.

"Jackson," April started. "When we first met I wasn't looking for a relationship. I was, and still am sometimes, an annoying busy body. I was surprised that we were even friends. Then five months ago something tragic happened and you needed a friend. We grew closer, and I know we have a difference in beliefs, but that stop me from loving you, and it won't ever stop me." The couple looked over at Jackson's mom, who was cuddled up next to Webber.

"And now you two," the minister said to Mark and Lexie.

"Ok," Mark said, grinning at Lexie. "Lex when we met, I was making fun of you for not telling some guy how you felt about him. Then we were sort of friends, but things changed when you asked me to teach you." The two shared a knowing look. "I don't know how much I taught you, but you taught me a lot. You taught me to grow up and what it means to be in a real relationship. You taught me how to be a man. You've put me together much more than you could ever break me." Alex, Derek, Jackson, and Owen held back a laugh. "And Lex, I promise that when we do anything, we're gonna do it together. I love you and I want to spend the rest my life with you and our family." Lexie took a deep breath. Mark gave her shaky hands a gentle squeeze and nodded for her to go.

"I never wanted this," Lexie said. "Not yet anyways. I wanted to finish my residency and have my own practice before I even thought about marriage or kids. That's what I wanted until you came along. You were the bad boy who was going to break my heart, but I still loved you anyways. Then you hurt me and left me behind, and I moved on only to have you pull me back in. Then you hurt me again and I was pregnant." She wiped away a few tears. "I was scared and alone, but I was a mom. I did the best I could without you, but you still found a way in. Every time I tried to move on, you found a way to hang on, which wasn't fair. It wasn't fair because when you made decision without, me I still couldn't make decisions for myself. I don't know how to trust you after everything that's happened. I…" Lexie froze as her face blank and she stared at Mark. Everyone looked at each nervously. Was she about to run?

"Lexie?" Meredith whispered as she took a step towards her sister. "It's just a-"

"I can't…" Lexie pulled her hands back from Mark's and shook her head as she stepped back. "I can't." She quickly turned and walked back down the aisle towards the door. Everyone started whispering to each other, causing her to move faster.

"It's just a party," April said. Lexie stopped and slowly turned around, looking at April. "Lexie it's just a party."

"Look at Mark," Callie said. Lexie shook her head and took a step back. Callie walked over to Lexie and gently grabbed her arm. "Look at him." Lexie's eyes slowly turned towards Mark and her heart stopped. Mark's face was full of pain, guilt, and a hint of hope. He stared at her, hoping she would come back to him. "Look at the man that has made you laugh, made you cry, made you feel alone, and made you feel loved."

"Sloan isn't perfect," Jackson said. "We all know that, but only you know him and only he knows you." Meredith made her way over to Lexie and held onto her other arm.

"You can do this," Meredith said. Lexie looked back at Mark and nodded, letting Callie and Meredith walk her back over to him. They let her go and went back to their places as she hesitantly held Mark hands.

"Mark…" Lexie started, taking a deep breath to stop her shaking. "You've hurt me, over and over again. I keep fixing you and you keep breaking me. I can't trust you, but I'm going to marry you, because I love you, I need you. All I think about is you. So I'm going to have to trust you, because I can't live without you." Mark looked relieved as he squeezed Lexie's hands reassuringly and looked into her eyes, silently promising he would never hurt her again.

"Alright," the minister said. "If anyone knows a reason that these people should not be married, speak now or forever hold your peace." Everyone but Lexie looked out at their friends and family, daring them to object. "Now for the exchanging of the rings." Bailey helped Tuck give Jackson and April their rings while Cristina helped Masen give Mark and Lexie theirs. Jackson and April excitedly put on each other's rings, while Mark and Lexie put theirs on nervously, Lexie more so than Mark. "With the power vested by me by God and the state of Washington, I now pronounce you husband and wife. You may kiss your brides." Everyone clapped as Jackson and April shared a sweet kiss, while Mark cradled Lexie's face as they shared a more passionate one.

"Mark…" Derek whispered after a minute. The other man pulled away and glared as his best friend before looking back at his wife. Wife… Wow.

"Ladies and gentlemen, may I present to you, Mr. and Mrs. Jackson Avery and Mr. and Mrs. Mark Sloan." Everyone stood and cheered as the two couples smiled and made their way down the aisle.

An hour later everyone was at a fancy restaurant for the reception. People were eating, the two couples sitting at the bridal table with their best men and maids of honor. After everyone had finished eating, Alex stood with his champagne glass.

"Hey," Alex said, quieting the room. "I'd like to say something. Um, when Jackson asked me to be his best man, I was confused. I mean we aren't all that close, but he said it was because of how I was there for him and April. When Jackson came out and said he loved April and that he wanted to marry her, a lot of us were nervous. I was one of them, but then I saw how April stopped him from thinking so much all the time and he stopped her from being so annoying." April and Jackson laughed a little as he rested his head on top of hers. "The point is that they belong together. They make each other a little better, so here's to them." They all raised there glasses and took a sip. As Alex sat Callie stood.

"I guess I'll go next," she said. "Um, I remember when Jackson was at what we all thought was his lowest point. He wasn't happy or sad. He was just angry all the time, but then I noticed a change. It was a slow change, but a change. I asked him what it was and he said it was April. April brings out the best in him, and he brings out the best in her. So I hope they have a long, happy life together. Here's to you." Everyone took another sip and Callie sat.

"I'm next," Meredith said as she stood. "I for one never saw this happening. I actually had Derek warn Mark to stay away from Lexie, but he didn't. I was mad when he hurt her the first time, and I was pissed the second time. I really wanted to say I told you so, but I didn't have too. When I first saw Mark and Lexie together I was surprised. From when I first met Mark to right now, the change in him is obvious, and the same goes for Lexie. Lexie, it took a while but you're my sister, and I'm happy for you. I love you, my niece, and my nephew. So Mark, if you hurt any of them ever again, you will regret the day I decided to become a surgeon." Mark swallowed and nodded in understanding. "Good, now here's to you." Everyone took another sip, Mark almost choking on his. Meredith sat and Derek stood.

"I guess it's my turn now," Derek said. 'I've known Mark since we were kids. Having four sisters, he's like a brother to me. In fact he is my brother. I was angry with him when he and my ex-wife were…close." Everyone shared a quick laugh. "But then he came to Seattle and we made amends. We were good, and I did warn Mark that Little Sloan was not to enter Little Grey, but…." The room filled with laughter as Derek waved at his niece and nephew, who were happily sitting with Bailey and the other kids. "Then I was pissed. He told me he was with Lexie right after I had a patient die, a loss that hit me pretty hard, but not as hard as I hit him." Quick chuckles from everyone. "Anyways, I thought I knew who Mark was, but Lexie brought out a side of him that I didn't even know existed, and neither did he. Yes they've had their ups and downs, but every couple does. So I want to toast to my brother and new sister, that they live a long, happy life together." Another sip for everyone and Derek sat. Mark kissed Lexie's forehead before standing.

"Since everyone was making speeches I thought why not," Mark said, getting a quick laugh from everyone. "First off, Derek, it's Big Sloan." Lexie blushed and hit his arm playfully, causing him and everyone else to laugh. "Second, I'm just as surprised as everyone else. I never saw myself getting married. Hell, I didn't even see myself in stable relationship. I was a man whore, and I liked it. When Derek warned me to stay away from Lexie, I was surprised. I'd never wanted someone the way I wanted her. Then I had her, and everything changed. I didn't want to just sleep with her. I wanted a life with her: a house, marriage, kids. I kind of had the house and I had the kids, then all I needed was the marriage. When I was ready for more I tried to push it on her, and ended up pushing her away. Twice I had her walk away, and twice I didn't know what I wanted anymore. When I thought she was gone I…" He cleared his throat and took a deep breath.

"It's ok," Lexie whispered. He nodded and squeezed her hand.

"I didn't know what I was going to do. I had to take care of our kids without their mom. I thought that one day when they were older and they would ask me what happened to her, and I didn't want to have to answer that. Then she was back and I knew I couldn't waist anymore time. So you all have my promise that I'm going to take good care of her for the rest of my life, because I love you Lex and I can't live without you." He sat down and cradled her face, wiping her tears and kissing her. Everyone clapped and wiped their own tears, surprised that Mark could ever say anything so beautiful.

After everyone had calmed down, the cake was cut. April and Jackson then had their first dance, followed by Mark and Lexie. Derek danced with Lexie, Meredith with Mark, Callie with Jackson, and Alex with April. Masen "danced" with Lexie, Sofia with Mark, Anna with both Mark and Jackson.

"Time to throw the bouquets!" April exclaimed as she and Lexie watched the women line up behind them. "Ready Lex?" The other woman nodded. "One, two, three!" They both threw the bouquets and turned to see who caught them. Jackson's mother caught April's and Arizona somehow accidentally caught Lexie's. The brides' laughter soon turned to a blush as Alex brought two chairs over to the middle of the dance floor.

"I think you know what time it is…" He said. Callie and Meredith pulled April and Lexie over and sat them down.

"Let's do this!" Mark said as he and Jackson walked over and kneeled in front of their wives. Jackson slid the skirt of April's dress up just past her knee, pulling her garter off and throwing it behind him. It just so happened that Webber was the one to catch it.

"Damn it," Jackson groaned as he watched Webber and Catherine give each other knowing looks.

"My turn," Mark said as he pushed up Lexie's dress. Unlike Jackson, he used his teeth to slowly pull off the garter, earning him a laugh from Lexie and cheers from all the guys. He smirked and gave her a knowing look before flinging it straight at Alex's face. Everyone laughed as Alex and Arizona exchanged a dreadful look before she quickly handed the bouquet to Jo, a new intern, who smirked at her boss.

"Don't even," Alex said as he walked away from her. Everyone laughed and went back to eating cake and dancing.

"I like this," Mark said as he and Lexie swayed to the music.

"Me too," Lexie said, laying her head on his chest. "This was the best party ever." Mark laughed as he stroked her hair.

"Yeah, best party ever."

Don't worry the story's not over yet.

Almost but not yet.
