A note from the author:
I AM BACK! This story has gone far too long without an update and I cannot apologize enough for my absence. I never lost my love for writing, or my love for this story as it's truly my favorite of my Joker stories, by FAR. I still have the plot down to a tee, still have the playlist and all my notes saved on my phone and I'm here to announce that as of today, this story is officially back in action. However, just a little disclaimer- I am still in college, working full time AND updating another story I let go stale (Snape/OC fic), so the updates may not come like clockwork. But I can SWEAR that I'm here to finish this story and I won't stop updating until it's done. We still have a ways to go until the end so to those who are new to this story, WELCOME! And to those who are returning, WELCOME BACK! I strongly advise, seeing how it's been so long since this story has been updated, that you go back and re-read the earlier chapters, however many you like, just to re-familiarize yourself with the characters, the story-line thus far, etc. Please just have a little patience with me and forgive me for leaving you loyal readers hanging! The upcoming chapter is already half-written and continuing to progress every day so I feel comfortable saying that you can expect an update within the week. By Sunday at the very latest. I just wanted to put this out ahead of time so you guys KNOW I'm back and you can get back in the spirit of THE FIRST RESPONDER! WOOOOOO!
And a huge thank you to those who return to this story with me. I'm sure I lost plenty of readers by taking my long hiatus but I have to take this space to thank those who never lost faith in me! You guys are what keep this story going! (That, and it has a killer ending lol)
