A/N: You thought I was dead right? Nope! I was at my friends house and got the inspiration! Sorry for not doing this sooner. !

Disclaimer: I don't own Fruits Basket. Just Teresa, the plot line, and anything else you don't recognize.

Teresa rolled over and attempted to glare at whoever had woken her up. "What?" her voice was tired and saturated with annoyance.

She looked up to see Kyo standing there his arms crossed, "Get up already!"

"Ugh," she flipped over and landed, hard, into her pillows, "Go away Kyo, I was up later than all of you."

"What the hell's that supposed to mean?!"

"It means, let Teresa sleep, Kyo," Yuki poked his head around the doorway.

"I never asked you ya damn rat!" Kyo pointed at Yuki.

"Is there a reason you're having this conversation in my room?" Teresa said into the pillow but it went unnoticed. Teresa, was already fully awake and she couldn't go back to sleep now.

"Why do you want her awake so badly?" Yuki asked.

"Because Tohru's not here and I'm hungry!" Kyo shouted.

"Kyo!" Teresa sat up and glared at the cat, "Get out of my room, and if you let my get ready I'll make your damn breakfast for you! Wait, what do you mean Tohru's not here?" she asked forcefully saying the last sentence.

Yuki pulled a fuming Kyo out of the room, and smiled at his cousin, "Miss Honda went out earlier to go shopping."

"Shopping, what time is it?" she glanced at the clock, "9:30?! Holy lemons, why didn't you wake me up sooner?!" she shoved Yuki and a fuming Kyo out her door and slammed it closed.

When Teresa was finished getting dressed, she stopped, "Yuki? How long has Tohru been gone?"

"About an hour," Yuki answered from the hallway.

Teresa's eyes widened and she ran outside. "What about my breakfast?" Kyo yelled as she ran past the kitchen.

"Make it yourself!" she pulled on her converse and took off up the hill. She changed into her raven form, the animal this time, and flew off. It had been a while since she had been a while raven so she had to get the hang of it the first minute or so.

Teresa ran through the snow covered grounds of the main house, her heart pounding. She skidded around a corner and saw Tohru standing near the pond, just outside Hatori's house. "Tohru!"

Tohru turned towards Teresa, "Oh hi, Teresa." Teresa stopped and leaned over, panting, "What are you doing here?"

"I wanted to make sure you were *pant* all right," she gulped air and straightened up.

"I'm fine you didn't have to tire yourself out just for me. I was walking by and Hatori came out and told me he had some things that I could take back home."

Hatori came out of the room, "Here you are, Tohru. Teresa, what are you doing here?"

"I was worried about Tohru, she was gone for a while," Teresa smiled.

Hatori nodded, "Take that home to Shigure's."

"Bye, Hatori thank you!" Tohru called as the two walked from the main grounds. Teresa didn't glance back when she felt familiar eyes on her back.

"We're back!" Teresa yelled as she and Tohru entered the house.

"Oh there you two are!" Shigure looked down, "What have you got there Tohru?"

Teresa took the groceries to the kitchen and Kyo came into the kitchen, "Get out of the milk," she ordered and handed him the new carton to put in the fridge.

"Bossy," he muttered. "What's Shigure makin' a fuss about?"

"Whatever Hatori had us bring over," Teresa shrugged. Kyo raised an eyebrow but stayed silent, something he rarely did.

"Teresa!" Teresa looked up as Tohru came into the kitchen, an envelope in her hands. "This is for you," she held the envelope out to Teresa.

Teresa took the envelope and the read the return address, it was from her parents. She didn't say anything, she just went up to the room.

Teresa attempted to open the letter, but she ended up just tearing the flap. "Stupid, open," the ripped the top of it and then took out the folded stationary.

It was from her mother

Dear Teresa,

We miss you. I've re-read your note time and time again and I have just now had the courage to write to you. I know that you love that little girl, but I hope you're not going through too much pain just to save one person. You can't help who you were born as, but you seemed happy here. I don't want you to be hurt, just for the sake of that one child.

Your father is upset about your leaving, he does love you, you know. He was just never able to hug you. Teresa, I want you home again, home where I can protect you, where you can be loved.

I'm worried about you, sweetheart. I love you, Teresa. Please tell me about what Akito does to you, I can't stand not knowing. Teresa I need to hear from you, please Teresa tell me something! I love you.

Your mother.

Teresa sighed, "Teresa?" Tohru stood at the door.

"Tohru, you know that mothers of the zodiac never accept or are very protective of their children right?"

"Yes," Tohru nodded.

"My mother is protective. She gets angry and hurt when I can't tell her anything about Akito. She wants to keep me all to herself, and have me pour out my heart to her about everything. She wants to keep me with her forever. I love her, but I need some space, selfish right?" Teresa half laughed as she finished, laughing was how she masked her true feelings.

"No, having a mother that you can talk to is wonderful. But you should tell her how you feel instead of leaving her."

"Tohru," Teresa sighed, "If I tell her I'll- Forget it. Let's make dinner all right?" Teresa stood up and went down to the kitchen.
