"Christina, calm yourself-" a book slammed into Megatronus 'face, and he growled.

"I AM CALM!" she screamed. Chorus sipped her energon, attempting to ignore the two bots who were fighting in front of her.

"Sit down so we can talk this through."

"No. I can't believe this, you're all about choices and how every cybertronian should be able to choose their path, but you decide "oh hey, I'm gonna set my daughter up on a date wit a douche' and is it just me, or does that seem a little off? I think I should have the decision-"

"Christina, your father and I know what's best for you, and most of the time these things work out well."

"BECAUSE THE FEMME HAS NO CHOICE," Christina hissed.

"You have a choice Christina, don't make it seem like you don't," Chorus stated.

"What choice?" She asked, crossing her arms.

"Christina, all we did was set you up on a date, if you never want to see him again afterwards, then you never will." Chorus sipped her cube of energon. "You should let your father finish his sentences more often, it would cut most conversations in half if you did." Christina stuck her glossa out at her mother, and seated herself. For a moment, there was silence, and Megatronus seated himself.

Then that moment ended.

"Do I really have to go?"

"Oh my Primus, that is it." Megatronus' chair kicked back as he stood. He grabbed his cube of energon, and walked out of the room, shaking his helm.

"He's going to go prepare for his trip, he says he can't wait to get away from you," Chorus muttered.

"Good riddance. One less bot to see me not go on my date." Chrous sighed, and rubbed at her forehelm.

"Christina, one day you will meet a mech, and you will like him, and he will like you, and you will have my Primus damned grandchildren, I swear it." Christina laughed at that, and stood up.

"I'll be in my room, pretending you never said that."

"We both know you will actually be in the library."

OoO

It was true, Christina often ran off to the library.

It was just so quiet, and such a change from the constant clashing of swords outside her home. Her sire and his friends would always fight each other, which always made her feel jittery. She half expected some poor bot to get thrown into the side of the house most of the time.

Letting out a sigh, Christina slid the door of the library open. It's chilled air hit her dead on, making her forget about the heat outside.

"Hello Christina," Optimus greeted, putting a data pad back in its place.

"Hello Uncle," she replied.

"I take it you want the book you normally get?" He asked, glancing to the desk. Christina nodded.

"Dragons and spells are awfully odd things to enjoy reading about," he said, taking it and handing it to her. "I take it your sire has no clue?"

"Not one. My carrier however, I am not sure…"

"Well, may it stay that way." With that, he returned to placing books back in their spots. Christina made her way around the stacks and book shelves, searching for a well lit spot. Despite being a library, this building was terribly dim. However Optimus has been kind enough to buy lighting fixtures, and hang them above areas with seats. Finding a comfy chair, she plopped down. Opening up the book, she was greeted with the image of a dragon.

The Myth of Onyx, she read wistfully. A tale full of things she dreaded in real life, filled with fights, and beasts, and daring mechs who didn't exist. She giggled, remembering a particular one who always made her smile.

If only he was the mech her mother had been talking about, the one she'd have sparklings with. How lewd of her, to think that. But still, she giggled, burying her face into the data pad. As she read, a bot would occasionally pass and search for a data pad, or mill about, or take a seat at the desk and doodle when they were supposed to be doing work.

Lost in imagination, she read on.

OoO

Meanwhile, far off in different territory, two...creatures, were speaking in hushed voices, behind a tall gate.

"I can sense it," the smaller one hissed, glancing down the path leading to the gate.

"I can as well. The master will not be pleased, he may very well snap if the mech decides to come this way. We must go back inside, and warn the others to behave."

OoO

Wow. This was reaaallly fun. So, I'm not dead, yay! Anyhow, I will be posting this story on my new account, which is called Mars Rover 91. Haha, I know, I've changed my username like four times. Well, I hope all of you have enjoyed this, albeit short, but cute chapter. Peace?
