Hey guys! I am so sorry it's taken so long. I've been dealing with college and the death of my grandfather :( But without further ado, Chapter 5! Thank you guys for being so patient with this story :)

Jimmy couldn't sit by like his mother had begged, and although it killed him, he had to think of a plan to save Cindy. He messaged Libby in a private chat to ask her what she thought of this bastard.

'wow boy genius not paying attention to grammar. Whats up?'

'What do you think of Cindy's new dad? He's coming over for dinner tonight.' Before he sent it, he reread it to make sure he didn't give his concerns away at first.

'he's OK... Cind's been less available... why?'

Jimmy sighed. He knew Libby knew about something.

' spill it libby. I want to help her. I cant do it alone.'

Libby blinked on her end. Jimmy has never missed this much in anything, much less a chat. She told him all she knew

' alrite, all I know is cindy wears more long sleeves, coverup, and she's jumpy. And ik ur a guy, but no girl wears coverup and NOTHING else.'

Jimmy cocked his head. Come to think of it, she's never really worn makeup. It "interfered with competitions."

"Jimmy! Cindy and Cedric are here!" His mother's shrill voice came through his thoughts. He logged off quickly, and ran downstairs. Cedric stood, beaming like the good father he pretended to be, while Cindy was tugging at her sleeve just wanting to be away from the world. They all sat down for dinner, Cedric talking to Jimmy's dad about ducks, Cindy eating silently, and Jimmy watching every move. Goddard ran in to greet Cindy by licking her face and stopped to growl and bark menacingly at Cedric. Cedric smiled but kicked him under the table muttering "Stupid mutt" Jimmy had Goddard plug a message into Cindy's Ipod for her to decode while no one was looking. Little did he know, Goddard also downloaded a certain confession that was never supposed to be heard, let alone recorded. Cindy saw Goddard transfer the tech data and smiled softly. She knew Jimmy knew and wanted to help her. After a quiet, calm, dinner, Cedric and Cindy said their goodbyes and left to go home.
