Everyone couldn't stop crying. Sonic was going to die soon.
"Sonic"Amy sob. "We love you"Amy reapted herself.
"Amy it's ok"Sonic cried.
Thats when the door open to show Maria in her scarlet dress.
"You ready"Maria ask.
Sonic took a deep breathe. "Yes"Sonic whispered.
"MEPHILES"Maria yelled and soon Mephiles showed up with chains.
LATER.
Everyone was on the roof of the castle. Waiting for the death of Sonic the hedgehog. Everyone but Sonic were in handcuffs connected to the wall. Sonic was tied down on the floor. Waiting for death.
Maria and Mephiles showed up and Maria had her hachet.
"PSYCHO BITCH"Elise yelled.
"Thank you"Maria smile.
Sonic look at Maria with fears in his eyes.
"PLEASE MARIA DON'T"Tails yelled.
"To late"Maria smile.
"I'll let you do the rest"Mephiles said.
"You got it"Maria smile.
Sonic just try to keep calm even though it felt like his heart will pop right out of his chest at any momment. He was going to die.
Everyone was begging to spare Sonic's life.
"Ready"Maria ask.
"Just one thing. Will this painless or do you like to kill people slowly"Sonic ask.
Maria was shock but answeared. "I like to kill slowly"Maria smile.
"Making this painful right"Sonic ask.
"Very"Maria smrik.
"Ok, I think I'm ready"Sonic said.
"NO SONIC"Shadow yell.
"Alrighty then, any lasts words"Maria ask.
"Just 2. Thank you"Sonic smile.
Maria was confused. "Wait thank you? I'm about to kill you and you're thanking me"Maria look at Mephiles who was also confused.
"I'm saying thank you because even though you are going to going me, your sparing my friends lives. I know most people would say your crazy, insane or even monster but you can't be that bad if your sparing my friends. My friends mean the whole world to me"Sonic said.
"Why"Maria ask.
"Shouldn't you be ripping out my guts by now"Sonic ask.
"I'm just curious"Maria said.
"Okay, well when I was little me and my family didn't have a lot of money. My father left me and my mother by the time we lost money. But it was just me and mother. She mean the whole world to me. But then one day. My mom told me she had cancer. She didn't make it. My mother was the world to me so, when she died I had no one. But as I got older I made a lot of friends. And I didn't feel alone. They became my family. It's why I want you to spare there lives because if I die and they live. I'll die happy"Sonic cried.
Everyone but Mephiles and Maria were shock.
"Oh Sonic"Amy cried.
"Why didn't you tell us you were so lonely"Knuckles ask.
"I felt embarresd"Sonic smile.
'Thats actually kind of sad'Maria thought. 'Wait, WHAT THE HELL AM I THINKING? Why in the world should I care. I've killed countless people and I didn't give a crap about them'Maria thought.
"Well then... May I"Maria ask as she lift up her hachet.
"Ok"Sonic took a deep breathe. "Thank you again"Sonic smile.
'He'll die happy'Maria thought. 'Happy. Happy Happy. Thank you' Those words were stuck in Maria's head. 'Why. Why do I feel this. Why the hell can't I kill him. He'll die happy. I-I ... I died happy'. Maria thought. 'WHAT THE HELL. Happy Happy. Thank you, Thank you. Thank you. THANK YOU'Maria thought. Then Maria snap.
"AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" Maria screamed. She drop her hachet, she put her hands on her ears and then fell on her knees. "AHHHHHHHHHH"Maria screamed.
Everyone was in pure shock. Even Mephiles. Maria never acted like this before. Maria screamed and screamed. It wasn't until Mephiles went up to Maria and grab her shoulder.
"Whats wrong? This never happened before"Mephiles ask.
Maria had no idea herself.
"I-I think I'm just tried"Maria lied.
"Are you sure you can do this"Sonic ask.
Maria look at him.
"uM.. Yeah, just a small 10 or 15 mintue nap will help. I don't want that to happen again. I'll be back. Mephiles wake me up in 20 mintues or less"Maria beg and went to her room.
'Is she ok'Shadow thought.
MEANWHILE.
Maria got out her dress and was in a white tank top, blue jeans and white socks. She thought it would be more comfy then her dress.
"Just a small nap. You'll see, you'll be back in your killing mood after that"Maria thought out loud. She open the door to her room which was grey brick room with a huge walk in window. A pink bed, a closet and a mirror.
She got on her bed.
"But why did he say thank you"Maria whispered.
Maria's eyes started to get tirsome and soon she fell asleep.
FLASHBACK.
Maria look at Earth in the ark.
She always wanted to go to Earth. Even though her sickness wouldn't alow that.
Her grandfather was making a living being to help Maria's sickness. It was called Project Shadpw. It was research for immortality.
Maria was happy with her grandfather's research.
Maria's grandfather went up to Maria and put his hand on her shoulder.
"Want to see my progress"Gernald ask.
"Of course"Maria smile.
Gernald took Maria in the room where Shadow was in a glass tube, with a green liquid inside, had wires on his arms and legs and a oxygen mask on his mussle. He was curled up in a ball and look like he was sleeping.
Gernald has been working project Shadow for 2 years and so far this was a susscess. One problem. Shadow has never woken up.
"I'm starting to worry if he doesn't wake up, then this will be a failure"Gernald frowned.
"Don't think like that grandfather"Maria beg.
"But still"Gernald look away. "I'm worrid"Gernald said.
Maria look at the hedgehog and notice his eyes were twitching. Then all of a sudden Shadow open his eyes.
"GRANDPA HE'S AWAKE"Maria yell.
Gerald look and was shock. But then a smile grew on his face.
"This is amazing"Grandpa smile.
Gernald then went up to the tube and press a button. It turned on the speakers. "Hello Shadow. I am you're creater Gernald Robotnik and this is my grandaughter Maria. Wait. Blink once if you can't hear or blink twice if you can"Gernald ask.
And Shadow blinked twice.
"Perfect. Anyways I must check your stats and if everything is ok, we'll need to keep you in there longer just until you can move around the tube. Please understand that this is just to make sure your bones and everything is able to move correctley"Gernald said.
Shadow understood.
Gernald left and Maria went up to tube.
"You and me. Are gonna be brother and sister. This is gonna be awesome. I've nevered had a younger sibling before. Then again I don't have any siblings"Maria smile.
After a while Shadow still couldn't move from his curled up state which wasn't fun, but Maria visted him everyday to chat. But she was the one always talking. All she talk about was how she wanted to go to Earth, hope she gets better and talk about gossip that she hears from the other researchers.
Thus one day Maria visted Shadow like always but today was differnt. She talk about the same thing at frist but she then felt bad.
"I'm sorry. You be getting tired of hearing me about usless stuff that you couldn't care less. I'm sorry. I was just trying to make sure you weren't loney but I guess if you can't even talk to me then whats the ponit. I'm sorry I won't bother you anymore"Maria smile and was about to leave until Shadow put his hand on the glass. Maria was shock. She thought SHadow still was troble moving. She went up to him and placed her hand where Shadow's hand was.
She then left to get her grandfather.
A while later. There was a gathering of all the researchers on the ark.
"Today everyone we have made life within this tube. And now I shall release Shadow"Gernald press a button. The green liquid was wash down on with drain that was on the floor of the tube that wasn't until now. The glass was going down and Shadow fell on his hands and knees.
"Someone hand me a towel"Gernald ask.
As such someone did and Gernald gave Shadow the towel.
He reloved his oxygen mask and wires.
"You ok Shadow"Gernald ask.
"Cold. But fine"Shadow said.
'He spoke'Maria thought.
"Maria I'm gonna do more work on Shadow, how about you make yourself some lunch. You've hardly eaten sense this morning"Gernald said.
"Well I was happy to know Shadow would be out of the tube"Maria smile.
Later after lunch Maria look out at Earth.
"I hope everything's ok"Maria prayed.
That was when Shadow came up to her.
"Is this Earth"Shadow ask.
Maria gasp.
"Yes"Maria answeared.
"It's beautiful"Shadow smile.
"I'm sorry. You must've gotten so bored of me when I wouldn't shut up"Maria whispered.
"Thats ok. Besides I couldn't do much anyways. Plus I was created to make sure you get better. And I wanna make that happen"Shadow promised.
"You-You mean it"Maria ask.
"Of course"Shadow smile.
Maria hug Shadow.
End of flashback.
Maria woke up from her dream.
'I never had a reason to hate him'Maria thought.
Mephiles came into the room.
"Me-Mephiles"Maria said.
"Ah, your're awake. Do you feel better"Mephiles.
"Ye-Yes. I just needed a nap is all"Maria whispered.
"Do you feel like killing Sonic"Mephiles ask.
"Yep, but frist let me get a differnt weapon"Maria smile.
"Why"Mephiles ask.
"I think my hachet is sharp, I'll just use my axe"Maria said and left.
MEANWHILE
Everyone was saying there final good byes and Maria and Mephiles came back.
"Alright lets get this over with"Maria said and walk up to Sonic.
"Feeling better"Sonic ask.
"Sh-Shut up"Maria grolwed.
"Just to make things easy i'll be fast"Maria said and rised her hands to stike down.
"Okay, Thank you"Sonic smile. Knowing that his friends will be fine he would die happy.
Maria was shock and couldn't think right. She started having a hallunation.
Maria was in the middle of nowhere. She saw Sonic right in front of her standing up.
"Whats going on here"Maria ask.
Sonic just said thank you.
"THANK YOU FOR WHAT"Maria yell.
She started to her voices don't kill. Don't Kill. Don't Kill. Don't Kill. Don't Kill. Don't Kill. Don't Kill. DON'T KILL!
Maria look down at her hands and saw a dead bird and she started to cry.
"what have I done"Maria cried.
"MARIA"Sonic yelled.
Maria's hallunation was over.
"Are you ok. You spaced out for at least 2 mintues"Sonic said.
"Why do you care"Mari ask.
"Because, even if you are going to kill me and that means my friends will be fine. I would wonder why my killer isn't killing me"Sonic said.
'He's nice. Even to a person like me. All I've done was do nothing but let my mind corrut me'Maria thought.
Mephiles went up to Maria.
"Are you ok"Mephiles ask.
"I won't kill him"Maria said.
"What? "Mephiles ask.
"I said, I WON'T KILL HIM"Maria yelled and she struck her axe at Mephile's neck.
Everyone was shock.
"HOLY FUCKING SHIT"Rose yelled.
"Thats new"Sonic whispered.
Mephiles was shock.
"WHAT DO YOU THINK YOUR DOING"Mephiles ask.
"I'm quiting my job as the Scarlet killer"Maria said in a dark tone. She struck down at Mephiles at least 17 times. She then ran to Sonic and untied him. She used her powers to heal him as well.
"Here"Maria gave Sonic a silver key.
"Use this to set everyone free and all you get out of here"Maria beg. She look back Mephiles who stood up.
"I WON'T BE A KILLER ANYMORE"Maria yelled and ran up to Mephiles to fight.
"GOTTA GO FAST"Sonic yelled and unlock everyone.
"LETS GET OUT OF HERE"Elise ordered and everyone ran.
"WHERE TO KNOW"Knuckles yelled.
"TO THE CAVE"Elise yelled.
"WHY"AMY YELLED.
"I have a bone to pick with Maria"Elise whispered.
Everyone got to the cliff and used his powers to help everyone who couldn't fly get to the cave.
It was about to rain.
"Get inside quick"Elise said and everyone got into the cave.
