CHAPTER FIFTEEN
RECAPE:
Cobra was fuming as she stomped her way through the ships belly and up to the deck.
"I can't believe him! Not only does he believe that insane psychopath who is his dad but he also wants to go back to him even after what that nut job did to him?!" Cobra was inwardly fuming to herself, her inner rage boiling just under the surface giving her strength to get over the latest attack. Cobra walked up the stairs and over to the railing of the ship and leaned out letting the wind blow across the mask that she was wearing and ruffle her hair as she took slow deep breath's trying to calm herself down. A memory of her childhood flew across her mind's eye and she shuddered at the brutality that she had used. "I guess I don't really have the right to criticize Zuko about his life choices since my own have been so horrible." Cobra thought.
"Cobra." Zuko's voice broke through Cobra's musing's.
Cobra turned away from the ocean and towards Zuko before thinking better of it and turned back towards the ocean. "Zuko." Was all she said, holding her voice steady praying that it didn't betray her or her thoughts. "Listen Cobra I…" Zuko felt like he had to explain himself to her but his pride got in the way and instead he said harshly, "I clearly made a mistake in thinking that you should stay. It's clear that you are only going to get in my way so instead I want you to leave and find my mother and don't appear in-front of me again until you find her!" Zuko said angrily and stomped away.
Cobra whirled around at that her own anger rising up in her and for once the knowledge that he was her mate didn't matter to her. She stormed after him and yanked his arm painfully causing him to turn around to face her she shoved him up against the railing harshly causing him to give a small yelp of pain. Then she pulled down her mask and kissed him harshly causing him to whimper. Then she pulled away pure anger in her eyes her voice was huskier then normal as she nearly growled out, "Fine you want to play the spoiled rich idiot of a brat then go ahead. I will look for your mother but I will NOT approach you again until I think that you are mature enough to be reunited with her. Don't look for me I'll kill anyone you send after me!" Cobra snarled before shoving him to the side and jumping over the railing leaving a bruised and very shaking and hurt Zuko behind reeling from the first show of pure anger he had ever had from her that was directed at him.
MEANWHILE WITH COBRA IN THE OCEAN:
Cobra fought to regain complete control of herself her animalistic side raged against her and the next time that Cobra surfaced the sun was already high in the sky, she had been wrestling with her animal self for a whole night. "He should fear us! He is human. He is worthless he should be honored that we have been chosen to be his mate!" Cobra's animalistic side snarled clawing at the mental cage that Cobra had finally managed to get it into. "No! He should NOT fear us, he may be human but he is NOT worthless. We should be grateful that we even have a chosen mate." Cobra argued against herself.
She was jolted out of her inner argument when her feet touched the sandy floor of the ocean and her head was still above water. Cobra looked up in surprise to find herself on the shores of the beach twenty-seven miles from where the Fire Lady and her children lived.
