Enjoy… and please review. Since I rebooted this story I'm anxious to see what you guys think.
To try and make up for being gone for so long I have given thee two, that's right DOS chapters in one day. The writing bug is back with a vengeance baby! Although I'm moving to North Carolina on the 3rd of August so it may take a couple days for me to update when that day comes around but I plan on updating ASAP so no worries.
Izzy's POV
"Izzy! Eva! Come down here please!", calls our mother Renee from downstairs. She sounds like she's crying and it worries Eva and I instantly.
I look up from my book to share a concerned look with my twin before we quickly jump up and race down the stairs to the living room.
Our parents are sitting on the couch. Our father has his arms wrapped around my mom and they both have tears in their eyes.
Finally my father coughs and clears his throat, "Girls, we have some terrible news, your aunt Carol just called and told us that, um," his composure cracks, "Your uncle Richard was killed in a freak accident. The funeral is next Sunday.", my mother hands him a tissue and he blows his nose roughly.
As soon as the words left his mouth Eva and I grasp on to each other and shake with ugly sobs. We all loved uncle Richard and it's crazy to think that we'll never see him laugh and tell stupid jokes again.
I finally rein myself in as I hold Eva to me. "What now? Oh my gods, poor Tyler and aunt Carol!"
Mom and dad share a look before mom clears her throat and begins, "Well girls, we know you have been miserable here and Carol and Tyler are going to need us, so we've decided that it's best that we move back to Mystic Falls. Tomorrow.
Eva and I gasp in shock then I hear Eva's voice penetrate my thoughts as we share a telepathic bond as twins.
Are they serious?! I know it sounds awful but I'm so happy that we're moving back!
My eyes widen in shock and I feel them change from the dark indigo color I know they are from my grief to a light blue color to show that I am still sad but excited to move back to our hometown.
~~~Time jump to 6:30pm~~~
Eva and I flit around our joint room and we pack at lightning speed, even though we were both full of grief the thought of seeing our friends and fam- well Tyler and aunt Carol made us very excited. We both hate this stupid town and can't wait to to Mystic Falls tomorrow.
It's late when we both finish, we each have an overnight bag packed with essentials for tonight and tomorrow until we get unpacked at our new house. We also voted to just share a queen blow-up mattress to save time in the morning a minimize time that it will take for us to get ready in the morning. We both grab our IPods and put our earphones in. I fall asleep to the soothing Secrets by OneRepublic.
In the morning our the alarm we set goes off at a deafening volume that cuts through the music. We immediately jerk upright in bed then look at each other and laugh before we get up and get dressed.
I put on a simple pair of slim jeans that almost look like skinny jeans and a plain black t-shirt, then I put on my favorite neon green Converse and grab my giant grey Tony Hawk hoodie that says "Uprising" on it with a wickedly awesome design under it. I love it because it's mega soft and has a giant pocket on the front. I wear make up sometimes but don't put any on this morning because I don't feel like it. Next I put in my wooden flower tunnel gauges. Then all that's left to do is grab my IPod and cell phone. I turn to look at my twin and see that she's gone simple but girlie. She's wearing a light purple t-shirt with sunflowers all over if and denim shorts with her purple Converse on. She also has her wooden flower tunnels in. We always wear at least one thing that matches. She also has her IPod and phone and she grabs her black hoodie as we walk downstairs to the car.
Everything is packed in a matter of minutes, then we're on the road to Mystic Falls.
~~~Time skip about 3 hours~~~
I wake up as we pass into Mystic Falls and immediately get super excited. This morning mom and dad told Eva and I that Tyler and Carol aren't expecting up until the day of the funeral so we're surprising them today. Eva shook me from my thoughts as she excitedly grabs my arm and points at the most beautiful house-no-mansion I have ever seen. It's gotta be four stories and has floor-to-ceiling windows going up two sides.
This should be interesting...
