Shortly after Superman arrived, the girl collapsed. Leaving her to a frantic Conner, Batman and the rest of Young Justice started extracting every file and piece of information from every machine in sight. When that was done they knocked out Superboy (how else were they going to get the girl away from him without a fight?) and went their separate ways; the girl went to the Justice League.
After analyzing all the data found in Desmond's facility they finally learned what he was up to. Desmond had kept a diary of sorts, and various vlogs. Although he survived the initial attack from the Young Justice's original members, he had been ostracized from the Light. He had taken it hard, and had not noticed the death of his "beloved" in his fits of rage.
"So...he went coo-coo in the brain and killed his own wife? Wait, how'd HE get a wife!?" Flash questioned with a shiver of disgust.
"It doesn't say anything about a wife, and his federal records show no indications of marriage." informed Canary. Green Arrow settled a carefully placed had on her shoulder, "OR, maybe, he had a special lady friend too stubborn to accept his advances?". Canary shoved him away with a knowing look.
"Anyway, anything in there about Superboys new found love?" Canary gave the green-clad hero a cursory glance, "Actually, yes."
