A/N: Hello hello everybody! I am such a bad bad BAD author! I wasn't able to keep up with my promise of updating! PLEASE DON'T HATE ME SENPAI'S (and kohai's).
BUT I do have THIS update to present to you all today!
Be warned though that I might have to pull some characters and lore from the DC comics like in the last chapters instead of stuff straight from the Young Justice Universe. HOWEVER if something is wrong, like I didn't get my story/facts straight, well, I am not an avid reader of the comics and doing the best I can so you'll have to deal with it *sticks tongue out*
I CAN ONLY DO SO MUCH!
DISCLAIMER: Everything but my OC and the plot belongs to their respective owners.
It was a moment, yet an eternity. She felt as if she had aged many years, yet experienced minutes. In a limbo of 'who's, why's, how's'... she fell. The turbulence an unforgiving force throwing her this way and that like a rag doll. A splay of limbs and hair. Eye's glazed in incomprehension of the pain, of the impending doom rushing to meet her as the force of the fall caused the wind to add laceration to laceration upon her body, big and small. But...nothing could face the burning ache upon her heart...
"EMERGENCY: DISRUPTION IN THE EARTH'S ATMOSPHERE"
"EMERGENCY: DISRUPTION IN THE EARTH'S ATMOSHPERE"
"EMERGENCY: DISRUPTION IN TH-"
The automated voiced chorused on and on, echoing throughout both Mount Justice and watchtower. Alarms screeched, and hero's scrambled to the stations. Batman, already at the communication controls panel typing at an almost inhuman pace turned his head a degree to acknowledge the gust raising appearance of the Flash at his side.
"Gotta' fix on what's up Batman?" said Flash, propping his hip not quite out the other heroes way.
"Not yet. I've requested the YJ's help on this one." he grunted.
Flash lets out a low whistle. "Isn't this a bit...uh, advanced for the newbies Batsy?"
"...Who said anything about the greenhorns?" Batman questioned with no hesitation in any of his motions. Without losing pace he grabs a comm piece and places it in his ear. "Watchtower to Mount Justice. What have you got Aqua-lad?" Suddenly he turns to face Flash with a cocked eyebrow.
"Hey now, you're our one and only Man of the Night: Batman! Of course you have all kinds of scheme-y schemes goin' on 'round your noggin'!". Batman's eyebrow raises higher as Superman glides down from...wherever a flying alien would glide down from a watchtower in space...
"He has a point you know." said the Kryptonian.
"bzzchtzzzz...Mount Justice to Watchtower. There seems to be a...vortex of some-sort growing at a rapid pace...shit...ho...w...o... can't be poss...SUPERBO..."
Aqua-lads message cut out as abruptly as it started.
"The fu-", Superman's look stopped Flash's expletive mid-word. "...shit ok no need to get all 'daddy' mode on us geez. Can you tra-"
"Already on it." Batman said as his fingers furiously tapped away at all the keys and doo-dads in the comm-station.
"...And here I thought I was the fast one..." he pouted. Meanwhile Superman made his way over to the new arrivals to update them on the situation.
Normally the hero's would have all kinds of information by no. But something was different this time. It shouldn't be different. All the scans and visuals show evidence of similar phenomena, yet something has caused this incidence to stump even all their ridiculously high-grade tech (alien and human-made).
"We got visuals!" Everyone turned to the holo-monitor. There on the screen was a massive distortion in the atmosphere. So quick that it could have been missed if you blinked a glowing tear appeared. Batman had zoomed in on the scene just in time to see the figure being to fall from within the anomaly. Somehow instantly familiar to our three heroes, the figure began a rapid descent to the ground. "RED TORNADO! RETREIVE THAT FIGURE BEFORE ANY OF THE KIDS SEE! THIS IS TOP PRIORITY! GO!", bellowed Batman in a span of a very few seconds. He didn't even need to ask Flash to follow after the android in case of any mishaps...or need for distraction for their younger counterparts. He did, however, need to place a restraining, yet calming, hand on Superman's soldier. His mother instincts, although very much warranted, were not needed at that exact moment. They could both join their 'smothering-mother-mode' forces together after they figure out what the hell was going on.
