Everyone but Esther's face snapped towards Mikael. We were all looking at him wide eyed, mot believing what he'd just said. Suddenly Klaus' face broke into a smile. I didn't expect that. I can't believe he's happy to marry me.

"Well, Mikael it is not really my decision. I may be Elena's guardian, but I am not her mother. I do not in any way have the right to have a part in this. It is Elena and only Elena's choice." Ayanna replied.

I didn't know what to do. I wanted to marry Klaus, but I knew that this would have a great toll on time. And also I felt like I was choosing him over the others. I still loved them, but I couldn't have them all. What if… what if this was fate's twisted way of telling me who's the right choice.

It didn't feel like it was the right choice though. Kol…Elijah…Finn…it felt like I was betraying them. I knew what I had to choose though. I knew that ii refused Mikael, he would end up taking it out on the others. It wasn't like it was that bad though…..

"I would be honored ." I said smiling from ear to ear.

When I lifted my head I saw that Mikael, Esther, and Henrik had shit eating grins on their faces. Rebekah looked conflicted between happiness and pity. Kol, Finn, and Elijah had frowns on their faces but their eyes were blank. Klaus was smirking at the other boys. Weird….

"That's great then it's settled. Elena love, you and Niklaus will be courting until me, Esther and Ayanna are able to make an arrangement as to when the wedding shall occur, and other details. After that you shall be officially engaged."

Damon POV/the future:

They have been gone for almost four months Bonnie. What do you mean you still can't get them back?" Stefan yelled frustrated. I can't blame him though. Elena and Caroline had been stuck in whatever time they were sent to for over 3 months now. We have no clue what time it is, how they are surviving, if they're alive…

"It means exactly what it means, guys. I don't know how to bring them back. I don't even know how I sent them. A witch named Ayanna contacted me though. She told me that Elena and Caroline were sent to her time and that she is working on finding a spell to send them back too." Bonnie answered.

"Well that's good at least, knowing that they're ok and what time they're at." I sighed.

"Well, you see…. It might not be a good thing though."

"Why would you say that Bonnie?" Matt asked. Both him and Jeremy were sitting on the couch, looking confused.

"Well, you see….uhm….I might have sent them to 1011."

"WHAT!" We all yelled. We all knew what that year meant. It was the year the originals were still human. It was the year they turned….

"Don't worry, she assured me that they are completely safe. She even said that Elena is enjoying herself, Caroline… not so much."

"What do you mean that Elena is enjoying herself?"

"I mean that Ayanna told me that Elena is having fun. Apparently she likes it there and she is friends

with human Mikaelsons."

"Come again." I said.

"I can try to contact her again." At that she started chanting. When she stopped she just stood there,

waiting.

"What are we waiting for." Jeremy said inpatient.

"Shhh." Bonnie said.

Suddenly a voice broke into the air. "Hello Bonnie what can I assist you with?" I think it is that Ayanna

chick.

"Well, I was hoping I could get an update on Elena and Caroline."

Silence filled the air. Everyone filled the room thought that the connection must have broken off but then Ayanna spoke again.

"They are both doing fine. Caroline is warming up to the place but she still cannot stand the Mikaelsons presence. Elena is quite happy though. Something happened though that you might not like."

"What do you mean we 'might not like'? What happened?" I found myself yelling.

"Well, Mikael asked for Elena's hand in marriage for Niklaus. I said that it wasn't my choice but Elena's. She said…..yes."
