Hope you all enjoy the chapter... I have some news but I'll talk about that at the end.
Eragon awoke early, a sore, tired expression on his face. He had not slept well and he objected to the fact of getting up and actually having to make a decision. He was terrified... what if his decision was wrong, it could be the end of them all. Sweat began building on his brow as he lay there; panic spreading through him, taking over his mind.
"Eragon..." Saphira snapped at him "do not panic, this is not the time for rash decisions... panic and rashness go hand in hand so I implore you to calm yourself before I make you" she told him, scolding him for his actions
"I am sorry Saphira but how can I not panic... I need to speak to someone older. Saphira can you ask one of the elves to help you teach the students, I need to speak to the Eldunari..." Eragon replied
"Very well... I shall speak to someone to help me..." Saphira replied, closing off her mind till only a sliver of access was open, allowing them to pay attention to each other without interfering with their own thoughts.
Eragon began walking towards the inner chambers of the hall, to places only he, Saphira, Kuldr and Blodhgarm had gone. Nobody was allowed in this particular chamber except those four as this was the chamber they had placed the hundreds of Eldunari and it was guarded by Cuaroc. All the Eldunari had been placed on pedestals, waiting and babbling. At the centre lay the Eldunari of those not insane and at the forefront were Umaroth and Glaedr. Eragon approached them and knelt in front of them. "I need help... Umaroth, Glaedr Elda" Eragon told them, pleading slightly "I fear the future, I fear my decision. I need... advice and I don't have very many options" he told them
"Eragon... I know what your problem is and I know what your choices are... we both do" Umaroth told him "This is your decision to make not ours however... Eragon... I would like you to listen to a tale before you decide anything" Umaroth told him
"Very well... please tell me, anything that could help is most welcome" Eragon replied enthusiastically
"Eragon, many years before, when I and Vrael still had bodies... we, by that I mean me, Vrael, Oromis, Glaedr and the other elders at the time... had been faced with the decision of dealing with a threat... the forsworn... what were we to do as punishment for their betrayal. We were faced with a dilemma as punishment had to be handed out. Our order demanded compensation of their crimes and our lust for revenge was above and beyond the revenge that the dragons wrought upon the elves. We were furious and we were clouded in our judgement and for that we wrought upon the destruction of the trust in our order... we instilled a sense of fear and we angered the members of the forsworn beyond belief... it was after that day that the downfall of our order began. The elders convened in secret within the Rock of Kuthian, we discussed for hours upon hours the punishment... there were plans of murder... plans of destruction and plans of incineration... we talked about this and that, in what way would the most devastating punishment would be. In the end... three major theories came to us near the end... one was to have Galbatorix banished... we would bring upon him a spell that would consume many of us in the process and that would result in him literally being... gone... he would just cease to exist, this was the most dangerous and worst plan we thought of, the next thing was to just go for an all out attack with the humans, dwarves and elves to take down Galbatorix and the forsworn but there was always the risk of us failing to succeed... what then, that was one risk we could never hope to play... if we lost that would be the end. Finally the third option we had and the least popular was to banish their names from the world... but our minds were twisted and we chose only to banish the names of the dragons of the forsworn... it would be a greater punishment and an evil thing to do but we believe it was necessary... we didn't do the same to Shruikan as Shruikan was enslaved by Galbatorix... it was not fair of us to strip the name of a dragon caught up in another's wicked soul. So that is what we did, it brought great fury to the others when they found out and even more to the forsworn but it was at that moment that their demise came... when they lost all their hope in Galbatorix and became set on taking us out... their anger was the downfall of the forsworn but also the downfall of our order." Umaroth ended "That... Eragon is why you should be careful on your decisions as they may seem right at the time but the consequences are always far ahead and those that can be avoided, must be done and how would you think of yourself when ten, twenty, thirty years from now you look back at something that could have been avoided if you had made one decision instead of another..." Umaroth added, closing his mind to him
"T... I may have come for advice but I have left with wisdom..." Eragon thought to himself, slowly rising and wondering out of the halls, he looked outside and saw that the evening was approaching... they had been there for hours and he was hungry, as he walked back inside and sat down for some food in the empty halls he began to think. Slowly and surely, as he waited for the return of Saphira he explored all the possibilities of his decisions, how freezing the man again may only just postpone the problem... how waiting for Angela's return my prove to be a fatal decision if he were to awaken... how killing him could prove ineffective or could cause a burst of outrage... they knew nothing about him except that he was beyond their power and beyond their strength, the only person who they could ask was Angela and the others that could help had been driven insane...
Eragon thought long and hard, and as he heard the doors of the hall open behind him, his mind cleared and suddenly a single thought was left in his mind. He turned to face his friends and family and opened his mind up to the Eldunari and the dragons. Speaking both out loud and in his mind he told them... "I have come to a decision..."
I wonder what the decision is...?

P.S. Feel free to message me with ideas, hints, tips etc! I apologise for the delay and hope you all forgive me!
OK so from this coming Friday I am going to Iceland on a school trip for roughly four days then I have my Gold Duke of Edinburgh practice expedition on the next weekend. Sorry guys but this means that I will not be posting for the next two weeks... also some other news, after I come back I may only have time to post maybe one or two chapters before long break like last year. Currently I am well and truly immersed in revision for my AS level exams from May till June so from sometime in April till sometime in June I will be taking a break so that I can devote 100% of my effort into revision as opposed to roughly 75% at the moment, these are important exams as those from the UK will know and may very well play a huge role in deciding my future.
Sorry and thanks for reading for such a long time... you have no idea how much It means to me.
I will let you know when I will stop posting so...
For now I shall bid you all goodnight
Animesh
